one clue that i have whatch httyd 1 to many time is that i have notice that the house hiccup runs out of at the start of the film is not his house.
when we first she hiccup in the film he open and door then slams it befor a nightmare can burn him to death. when we see hiccup next he is running away from a burning bulding with fire around the door.
umm yeah that not his house.
this his house.
so what the F@#k was he doing in that house from the beginning of the film.
i dont need sleep
I need answers
is he running a side bussness were he cleans people house for them?
was the owner of the house baby sitting him?
did he get drunk and wake up in the wrong house?

this might be combining tooo many ideas but!! what if in the To love To lose au hiccup meets toothless younger; like they are both 10 and hiccups run off in the woods to avoid the bullies that bother him when ryker and viggo are not around.
the two are initially terrified of eachother. but then they slowly relax and play afterwards. then toothless flyies off when he hears stoick coming

Anyone wonder why Hiccup wasn鈥檛 more emotionally scarred from years of being rejected by his community? In the first movie we see how different Hiccup is mentally and physically which led to him being picked on and ostracized such as in most of the dragon training scenes. However, such a quick change of character of pretty much everyone at Berk after his close encounter with death would surely make him apprehensive of others. We kind of see this apprehension when he doesn鈥檛 want to lead the village in movie 2 and his reasoning of not knowing who he is sort of plays into his insecurities.

canon tidbits i think people who've only seen the httyd movies should know that are confirmed in the shows:
tuffnut and snotlout are canonically talented seamsters
we see the prototype versions of hiccup's flaming sword and the flightsuit in race to the edge
hiccstrid's first kiss is in rtte and its perfect
VIGGO GRIMBORN aka the best httyd villain and the "hiccup's evil mirror" concept actually done right
there are multiple societies dedicated to protecting dragons other than berk
snotlout's assholish disposition is a consequence of his deeply held insecurities that if he can't be the best he's the worst, which is encouraged by his father
the other riders (namely snoutlout) have used the ship name hiccstrid to refer to hiccup and astrid
hiccup redeems so many villains in the shows (alvin, dagur, viggo - one of them later performing a heroic sacrifice to save him) that it's completely unsurprising he thought he could change drago's mind
hiccup punched snotlout in the face and knocked him out cold
the shows let the twins be smarter, snotlout be more thoughtful, and astrid more deranged
snotlout's middle name is gary
