Water fire protection plan for battery swapping cabinets, freeing you from concerns about charging fire safety
Intelligent battery swapping cabinets, also known as shared battery swapping cabinets, shared battery cabinets, or swapping stations, are innovative devices designed specifically to meet battery rental needs. Its appearance is similar to a storage cabinet, with each compartment storing one battery and equipped with a QR code on the battery cabinet body. Users can operate the charging cabinet by scanning the QR code and complete battery rental by controlling the opening of the cabinet door. Each cabinet is equipped with a charging device that can automatically charge the battery quickly, allowing electric vehicle users to choose to rent the battery at any time and achieve instant replacement of the electric vehicle battery.
At present, the market for electric bicycles in China is huge, with a total of 300 million electric bicycles in the country. The annual production and sales continue to grow, and it has become an indispensable part of the lives of the vast majority of ordinary families, covering more than 80% of them. The demand for short distance travel between 2 and 10 kilometers is still very significant, accounting for more than 30% of people's total travel needs. In short, the electric bicycle market has a huge demand and diverse target users.
Through intelligent battery swapping cabinets, users can effectively solve battery anxiety. For most electric vehicle users with millions of riders, a readily available battery swapping solution becomes the best choice to alleviate battery anxiety. Users can obtain fully charged batteries at nearby battery swapping stations at any time, and by making advance appointments to the station for battery replacement, they can achieve anytime, anywhere battery life. The intelligent battery swapping cabinet has GPS positioning and multiple functions. The cabinet is solid and comes with anti-theft function, ensuring that users are worry free during efficient and safe travel, and can freely travel to every corner of the city.
On December 13, 2023, a fire broke out in a certain unit of Building 1, Phase I of Honghaiwan Port Resort in Huidong County, resulting in the death of 2 people and the unfortunate deaths of trapped individuals aged 15 and 16. According to surveillance footage, starting from 7:00 am on the 12th, 8 people successively pushed 4 electric vehicles into the apartment elevator. The property management discovered this situation but was unable to effectively stop it. At around 2am on the 13th, the last electric car was pushed into the apartment for charging. By around noon on the 13th, six people who were still sleeping were awakened by the sound of an explosion. Subsequently, the high-temperature smoke and fire quickly spread to the room with the strong wind, and Jiao (16 years old) and Mou (15 years old) who were sleeping in the room were unable to escape.
Tumblr media
Due to issues such as lifespan and quality defects, electric vehicle batteries are prone to spontaneous combustion during charging, posing a threat to people's lives and property. Therefore, the fire safety of the battery swapping cabinet is crucial. At present, there are aerosol fire extinguishing systems and sprinkler water circulation fire extinguishing systems for existing battery swapping cabinets in the market. The aerosol fire extinguishing system refers to the installation of aerosol fire extinguishers inside the battery swapping cabinet. In the event of a battery thermal runaway fire, aerosols are used to isolate the air and extinguish the fire. However, in actual use, the battery burns for a long time, and the effectiveness of aerosol fire extinguishers is not significant; The spray type water circulation fire extinguishing system is equipped with a spray type nozzle inside the battery exchange cabinet. When the battery catches fire and the temperature is too high, the nozzle is triggered, and the fire water is sprayed into the battery compartment. The continuous spraying reduces the battery temperature and causes it to burn slowly until it goes out. However, the battery burns more inside the battery, and the spray head can only lower the surface temperature of the battery, making the fire extinguishing effect unreliable. At present, the intelligent battery swapping cabinet and fire protection method of the self-developed dual water fire protection system are used on the HEXUP. The dual water fire protection system is used for battery immersion water fire protection, which can quickly reduce the battery temperature and isolate the air, maximize the reduction of battery combustion hazards, and is safe and reliable. This technology is novel in the industry and has applied for an invention patent.

Eight Most Beautiful Campsites In Guangdong
Where do you go on weekends and holidays? Seaside is undoubtedly a good choice. Let's go to the sea together. There are countless seaside islands in Guangdong, and now I recommend the eight most beautiful campsites in Guangdong. The eight most beautiful campsites in Guangdong, you don’t want to go back once you come here.
Tumblr media
Guiling Island
There is a myth about the origin of the name "Guiling Island". A long time ago, the King Turtle went down to earth without authorization to make waves and do many evils. In a fit of rage, the Jade Emperor enlightened it, and it happened to land here. It has become today's Guiling Island, and Guiling is the auspicious meaning of the turtle's longevity. Here not only the water quality is clear, the sandy beach is thin, but also the trees are shady. Address: Guiling Island, Jiesheng Town, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province
Yanzhou Island
Yanzhou Island, also known as Dazhou Island, is rich in sea salt and is the only island town in Huizhou. Located between Xunliao Bay and Shuangyue Bay, "the virgin island hidden in the deep boudoir". Located in the subtropics, it is warm and humid all year round. The forest is verdant in all seasons, the beach is gentle and fine in texture, it is a natural beach. In the mangrove shoals, egrets are flying across the wild boats. Basalt beach, a clean and pristine natural environment with few people. Address: Yanzhou Island, Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province
Black Paijiao
The coastline of "Black Paijiao" is in the Huidong area. The coastline traverses the port, the flat sea and the salt islands. Just because the reef is black, everyone calls it "Black Paijiao". The natural landforms here are changeable and beautiful, with dry, white, wet and black beaches, and strange black reefs. The reef beaches suitable for catching the sea and the winding coastal mountain roads are scenic spots everywhere. Address: Black Paijiao, Yangwu Village, Huidong Coast, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province
Sanmen Island
Sanmen Island, also known as Tuoting Island. Located at the confluence of Dapeng Bay and Daya Bay, it is one of the best-preserved natural ecological islands. The scenery is beautiful, the air is fresh, the sea is crystal clear, and the sun shines into a net. It makes you feel like you are in the Maldives, soaking up the sun on the beach of Phuket, Thailand. Address: Sanmen Island, Daya Bay District, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province
Shangchuan Island
Shangchuan Island is a relatively small island in Guangdong, and she also has a sister island called Xiachuan Island. There are few people and beautiful scenery here, so it is worth developing. It has a long coastline, beautiful mountains, romantic windmills, and Klein blue sea. Camping in Shangchuan as an islander, enjoying the sea breeze, watching the sunrise and sunset of mountains and seas. Address: Shangchuan Island, Taishan City, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province
Red Paijiao
Shenzhen's Red Paijiao coastline is a little-known niche beach, so it is worth developing. Unlike other beaches, there is no sandy beach here, and the beach is full of pebbles and reefs. The beach is not big, but the water is crystal clear. Volcanic rocks record the vicissitudes of life, and there are also wonderful scenery such as lighthouses, cliffs and sea caves. Address: Red Paijiao, Dapeng New District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province
Sangzhou Island
Sangzhou Island is not only beautiful, but also "Little Saipan of Guangdong". The sea water is clear and the sea sand is fine. Mulberry trees are everywhere on the island, and the area near the reef is full of corals and sea urchins. You can snorkel to see coral groups and paddle boards on the sea. At night, you can have bonfires by the sea, beach music parties, and self-service barbecues. Address: Southeast of Xunliao Bay, Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province
Nan'ao Island
Nan'ao Island is the only island county in Guangdong Province, but it is the "Oriental Hawaii" in a small county. Half of the Wizard of Oz, half of the blue sea and blue sky. In the future, you can hear the birdsong, and you can see the stars at night. Summer can escape the heat, and winter can hide from the world. Among them, Dingpeng Island is truly the most beautiful island of Nan'ao Island. Address: Nan'ao County, Shantou City, Guangdong Province
In the evening, not only watching the sunset on the beach, blowing the sea breeze, but also embracing the sea. Make an appointment with three or five friends, and then prepare some simple ingredients in advance. Plug in the Powerfar outdoor mobile power supply on the beach, and then have an eco-friendly picnic close to nature. Would you like the eight most beautiful campsites in Guangdong?
Tumblr media
When night falls, there will be a simple music evening. The eight most beautiful campsites in Guangdong are very suitable for family group travel and can enhance family harmony.
Look at the bright moon reflected in the tent, and then fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves. In the early morning of the next day, stretch yourself before watching the sunrise. Throw away the troubles that have troubled you for a long time, and then feel the beauty of nature. I hope that the eight most beautiful campsites in Guangdong can help you find spiritual comfort and let yourself go.

Definite spectroscopic evidence for magnetic reconnection in splitting of solar filament structure Magnetic reconnection is a universal process that changes magnetic topology and converts magnetic energy to plasma kinetic energy. Spatially resolved spectroscopic observations covering extended regions in the solar atmosphere are rare, and thus the distribution and energy partition of reconnection remain unclear. A filament is a darker and denser structure in the solar atmosphere. Doppler shifts of bidirectional outflows, as definite evidence for reconnection, have not been detected in solar filament splitting so far. However, now, researchers led by Dr. Hu Huidong from the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with their collaborators from Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany and Nanjing University in China, have reported a magnetic-reconnection event that caused the splitting of a solar filament structure, based on spatially resolved spectroscopic data from the Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) and images from the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). The study was published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters. "The filament structure was split into two upper and lower branches by magnetic reconnection, which eventually erupted partially, with the upper branch ejected and the lower branch retained," said Dr. Hu. Neighboring large blue- and redshifts (more than 50 km/s) of the Si IV line in the brightening region between the two filament branches were revealed, which spatially corresponded to large nonthermal widths and enhanced intensities of the Si IV line. These are clear signatures of magnetic reconnection. The length of the reconnection region is unprecedentedly no less than 14,000 km. A double Gaussian fit of the line spectra illustrated blue- and redshifts (up to ~150 km/s) of the upward and downward outflows. The reduction of the overall line width indicated that the line-of-sight velocities decreased remarkably after the bidirectional outflows left the reconnection site. Line broadening on the blue wing several arcseconds away from the reconnection site was observed, which might be indicative of turbulence that was induced when the upward outflow interacted with the upper filament branch. Differential-emission-measure analysis showed that the temperature during the reconnection was ~14 MK, ~9 MK higher than that before the reconnection. The electron density was ~3.9×1010 cm-3, about twice that before the reconnection. The total thermal energy was estimated to be ~1.3×1027 ergs, which was much larger than the kinetic energy. "Our study has provided definite spectroscopic evidence for the splitting of a filament structure by magnetic reconnection," said Dr. Hu. "The reconnection is in an extended region with an unprecedented length, and the thermal energy overwhelmingly dominates the kinetic energy in this reconnection event. surprise LIVE ! per_se : 1 YEAR!!! ILY!!!
initially he had planned to write a long and cheesy instagram post. yet that didn’t seem like enough to convey his gratitude to the fans –– words were powerful, but he’s sure that they’d probably at least like to see his face. now that their promotions are over, they don’t exactly have a schedule packed for the month to actually meet their fans, and haknyeon thinks it’s about time he’s started doing more vlives.
he takes a moment to think about what to title it, but settles on something simple and straightforward. “1 year!! ily!!!” he smiles and clicks start. it’s much different than an instagram live, because the hearts begin pouring in and haknyeon stares into the camera for a good few seconds, unknowing if anyone’s gonna watch. but they do and he smiles as he looks at the numbers increasing. he begins to read the comments.
“oppa, are you just going to stare at the camera? say something!”
immediately he turns to look at the camera, away from the comments and laughs shyly. “oh! sorry! i was really fascinated!” he laughs. at that he clasps his hands together and notices that the viewer count has increased, there’s a good number of people watching him now.
“everyone! it’s our one year already!” he beams, and he claps his hands together, smiling wide. “can you believe it’s already been one year with per_se? i wanted to celebrate it with all of you, that’s why i decided to do this vlive!” he continues, and he watches as the number of hearts continue to increase. “it’s something really special to me, and something that i think could only be achieved thanks to our fans! i can say thank you a million times but it’ll never be enough,” his words are sincere as he speaks, and he knows they aren’t face-to-face, but he hopes that his genuine gratitude can reach them. “i was going to write a long... cheesy... instagram post... but i wanted to be able to share this moment with all of you!” he smiles.
from the corner of his eye he spots a comment that says “do you miss hugo?” but he ignores it –– he has to. he’s not too sure if he’s allowed to speak on it, if the company might come after him if he does. it’s not exactly a situation that he can speak so candidly about.
the vlive proceeds, and haknyeon continues to read other comments. “what have you been doing lately?” a comment asks.
“me? i’ve been practicing of course~ i’ve been working really hard on my rapping and dancing and singing too! i want to make sure ceo hyunbin doesn’t call me a terrible singer!” he adds the last part cheekily, referring back to when the ceo had called him a terrible singer on television. it’s not as though hyunbin would watch these vlives, right? he’s sure a little playful jab wouldn’t hurt.
another comment catches his attention.
“i didn’t know you were friends with anna!”
he smiles as he answers, “we are! anna noona and i went to the same highschool! she’s a year older than me and we didn’t see each other much in highschool since she was a trainee back then, but we got a lot closer after i debuted! she’s a dependable senior!”
“are you close to convex?”
“definitely! i have a few friends in convex~ we’re buddies!” he smiles widely. it’s always fun to talk about his friends, and the friendships he’s made. “sang–– ah, link, haru, micha and i were actually all in a dance crew before we became trainees. it’s crazy right? then i became a trainee, and then link hyung, then micha, then haru... then we all debuted! they’re really close friends of mine! and they’re really talented too! how can i not be a consta when they have so many handsome members right?” he cheekily raises his eyebrows. “ah... but my bias is actually jinwook sunbaenim,” he laughs before he makes a heart with his hands. “jinwook sunbaenim, i love you!”
more comments continue to flow in, and it’s getting a little tough for him to read them one by one. but he notices the interest in his idol friends, and decides to speak about it.
“other idols i’m close to? i’m really close to de:code’s shion and a.c! jihoonie... seonho...” he calls out their name playfully. “i remember crying at jihoon’s graduation because i was sad that he was leaving school! super embarrassing right? but that’s how close we were,” he smiles fondly at the memories, and makes a mental note to check on jihoon. “and i’m really close to seonho too! we have a lot of history together,” he smiles, but ends it at that –– he isn’t going to disclose just how much history they have of course.
“of course i’m close to and*roma! they’re our sister group!” he says with a smile. “darae noona is like my nova mum! she took such great care of me when i first entered nova, i’ll forever be grateful to her!” he beams. “speaking of which, and*roma just had a comeback so be sure to listen to the song lots! i’ve been listening to it nonstop because it’s so good,” he holds up his phone and shows the and*roma album that he’s liked on melon. “and*roma is the best!” at that, he puts a thumbs up.
“if darae is your mum, then is hui your dad?”
haknyeon laughs out loud before he nods his head. “yes! you are one hundred percent correct!” the accuracy in that statement has him giggling a little more. “actually, let me tell you a funny story about hui hyung and i! when i first entered the company, hui hyung was like... a legend! like a legend among legends in the b-boying world! so of course i had to ask him to practice with me and help me train, right?” the comments begin pouring in with yes huidong oppa is a legend! and haknyeon nods. “and once while we were training, he was teaching me how to do this trick. it was really tough, but after trying a few times i got it! i was so happy and excited that i looked up at him and i said thanks dad! i called hui hyung dad!” he’s giggling as he tells the story, his encounter with hyung. he doesn’t think he’s shared this story anywhere else before, but what better time to share it then now during his vlive, right? “that was so embarrassing! and he just looked at me all surprised,” at this, he attempts to imitate huidong’s expression at that time, but he’s still laughing. “hui appa, hui appa,” he adds, smiling as he reads the comments, most of which were full of laughter.
“i actually have a lot of funny anecdotes with all the members! like that one time jungwoo hyung and i got matching couple bracelets but we lost them and had to get new ones! and when i accidentally back hugged ricky hyung when i was still a newer trainee! that was actually quite scary,” he shudders a little, “but we’re closer now of course! and when hosung hyung and i went on an adventure in morocco!” these are fond memories of his, and he almost lets slip a memory he’s shared with hugo, but catches himself before doing so.
he’s careful not to let his expression slip, and quickly he turns back to the comments.
“can you say i love you noona?”
haknyeon reads the comment out loud and looks at the camera. “okay! be sure to record this alright?” he smiles. “noona, i love you!” he says, before he continues. “and for our male fans, hyung, i love you!” lifting both his arms, he makes a heart shape over his head.
“hyung loves you a lot junju”
he giggles at the comment and makes a heart finger. “i love you more hyung!” he says, scrunching his nose in an attempt to cutely show how serious he was at loving.
another comment immediately catches his attention, and at this haknyeon bursts into laughter.
“5 hyunbin sajangnims or a 5 year old hyunbin sajangnim?”
he’s laughing as he reads the comment. usually you’d expect to see this question about the members but seeing one about your ceo is something he honestly didn’t think would happen.
“ah... do i have to answer this? i’d rather not...” he replies. “it’s so funny just thinking about it. imagine me bowing 90 degrees to a five year old and greeting him with hello sajangnim!” he laughs. the image itself is funny to just think about. “for this... pass!”
haknyeon continues to read the comments, unaware of how much he’s been talking –– mostly because he’s having such a great time communicating with the fans.
“put on some filters!”
“filters?” he repeats, fiddling with the screen. “ah... here we are!” he begins to play with a bunch of them, from a cat filter, to one of him in a beret, to a filter of him as a dinosaur.
he opens his mouth wide, like how a dinosaur would and smiles. “this is how much i love you!” he says, and he attempts to open his mouth even wider, only to accidentally choke on his own spit.
there’s a lot more talking during the vlive, most of which is full of haknyeon thanking the fans, and sharing stories that he can remember. like how nervous he was during their debut, and how happy he was when they celebrated his birthday with him. it’s only when a notification saying “your phone is at 20%” pops up, does he gasp a little.
“everyone! i didn’t realize i’ve been on vlive for so long!” he says, blinking at the screen. “i had so much fun talking to you that i didn’t notice how fast time flew by!” he smiles at the screen, glad to have spent his time talking and communicating with the fans. “i wish i could stay and talk for another hour but the phone is running out of battery! and i need to go back and practice,” he pouts a little at this, but he knows that he has to train. “thank you so much for loving per_se! we only made it to this one year milestone because of you guys! please look forward to what else we have in store!” he reaches out for the phone and feels a little sad, honestly, that he has to end this vlive. “bye bye everyone! i love you!” he kisses the screen and the live ends.

Date: Early to mid September, 2020
(tw anxiety, depression, self-hatred)
“You’ll never be Hugo.”
It’s a phrase Moonbok had been expecting to have thrown at him at some stage, but when Hosung snarls it at him after practice during the first week, it feels as though the other member has stabbed him in heart.
No, being stabbed would have hurt far less.
As it is, Moonbok can only take a step back, his expression utterly shocked before it’s wiped away by hurt and even a touch of fear. All he can do is stammer helplessly in response, blinking back tears and trying desparately to keep his voice steady.
“I... I know! I know, I’m not-- That I’ll never---”
“....I’m sorry.”
‘I didn’t ask for this. I don’t want to be Hugo or just his replacement.’
In the end, all Moonbok can do is bow his head and tightly grip his track pants as he tries his hardest not to simply start crying in front of Hosung and the others. After all, they already seem to dislike him, being a crybaby isn’t going to endear him to them any more.
When they arrive back at the dorm he darts straight to his room, promptly burrowing straight under his covers and curling around his pillow and plush, biting down hard on his lip to stifle his sobs.
They’re right after all. He’s not Hugo. He’ll never be Hugo, he’s still just a glorified trainee, really. A jumped up survival show failure that got lucky. He stares at his phone’s screen, thumb hovering over the call icon next to Yoona’s name before he shuts it off.
What good could his cousin do when he hasn’t even told her the truth about why he’s suddenly at the Nova building all day everyday? What if she even feels the same, that he shouldn’t be there either?
Maybe this whole thing was a mistake. Maybe he never should have taken up this position.
Feeling the dark thoughts begin to creep up again, Moonbok pokes his head above the covers long enough to grab his medicine and down them with what little water he has left before retreating back to his makeshift cave and shutting his eyes tight.
Hopefully sleep would take him into its embrace soon.
                                                ------------------------------
(A few days later)
A couple of days after the confrontation with Hosung, Moonbok is.... not settled, per se. He’s still cautious around the other members and quick to do anything they say in the hope it’ll earn him any kind of brownie points
It’s still awkward as hell, he’s still anxious as hell but he shoves it aside as best he can, focusing on dance practice until his legs are shaky and his head is spinning. It’s harder to concentrate on the negative thoughts when he’s in this kind of physical condition. And in a slightly masochistic way, Moonbok likes being this wrung out. It reminds him of how much he needs to improve, but also of how much he can endure. If he can still stand up and hold a conversation while his heart is practically breakdancing in his chest, then he can brush away simple feelings and words.
(Though he can tell that Huidong doesn’t particularly approve of this method of coping, if his expression is anything to go by.)
He hasn’t quite worked himself into such a state that evening when Hosung, looking awkward and a little shamefaced (thought maybe that’s just Moonbok) approaches him after practice and asks Moonbok to come with him. He’s a little wary and still hurt, but Moonbok agrees after only a second’s consideration, even offering the other boy a tentative smile.
Even after everything that happened, he’s not getting that hostile vibe from Hosung anymore, and that’s reason enough to be hopeful.
They end up hanging out at a convenience store near the dorm and it’s all Moonbok can do to not start laughing at first, purely because of the memories of Youngjae that the situation evokes. Over a dinner of ramyeon and noodles, however, he and Hosung end up clearing the air between them and Moonbok feels a weight slowly being lifted from his chest.
Of course, he knows this is just a start and that he still has four other members to win over, but Hosung’s kind words and apology are enough to make him smile fully for the first time in what feels like a long time.
“Also… I want you to know that I don’t want you to be Hugo, I want you to be PER_SE’s Moonbok, to find your own place in the team…”
“I will, promise. It’ll take time, but... I promise, I’ll show you a side of me that’ll have been worth waiting for.”
(The kiss of reconciliation was one thing he hadn’t be expecting, though. But as welcomes went, it ranked up there.)

he has too much time. suddenly, there is too much free time on his hands, too many hours cooped up in an apartment with four - no, five again - other members, all of them without anything to do or anywhere to go. he has no sympathy for their new member, no inclination to break his cold reputation now for some new face sent in to replace hugo’s, not even when he knows the strenuous, albeit unofficial, rehearsal schedule they’ll all have just to get this stranger they’ve never met acclimated to the group, to complex choreographies, to nova itself, as if he’s been here all along.
but he hasn’t. yuchan doesn’t know him. nobody knows him or who he is or what he can do, other than rap. there is no trust, not from yuchan, who already sometimes doubts the dedication from his fellow members who have been here from the beginning. so why should he put his trust in a stranger, just because he happens to be sharing a room with him (and why does he have to move into his room anyway?).
yuchan isn’t stupid, not about the industry at least; he knows that much about himself. he knows two months of nothing after the loss of a member is a bad sign, replacement or none. it isn’t just two months of no per_se, it’s two months of no individual activities, no unit schedules, no radio shows or variety shows or interviews or photo shoots or ad campaigns. radio silence, in every sense of the phrase.
cw: allusions to an eating disorder ; panic attacks ; debt
they can’t compete with no activities, they can’t break even with no checks to earn. hemorrhaging money, that’s the phrase they always use in the movies, or in contract rooms, or in law offices. he’s hyper aware of it with every meal they eat, with every hour the air conditioning cools the apartment, with every grocery run or snack break. it makes his own meals start to feel stressful again, they way they used to before he started seeing a company-sponsored doctor...another glaring contractual expense that will undoubtedly see his own individual earnings further in the red.
how is everything? how are you? are you eating? his mother’s texts and calls and video chats are still regular. good, fine, yes, are always his answers. in reality everything is in shambles, he is a basket case, and food feels like an unnecessary expense when the ship is sinking around him.
he watches convex’s don’t wanna cry and he can’t help it, the thought that crosses his mind, the fleeting recollection of a notice hung on every bulletin board across samsung’s building in seocho: that could have been him. it’s a pang in his chest, because back then, it was unwavering loyalty to and unmoving faith in nova, in his future with the company. now, he sees job security he cannot relate to in stunning choreography and sharp synchronicity and handsome faces that he probably wouldn’t have to carry on his back through every dance rehearsal. the comments, as to be expected, as they should be, are glowing and frantic and impossible to keep up with at the rate they fly across his screen.
how are you? are you healthy? do you need money? his brother is a little more straightforward, a little more blunt, sounds more and more like their father all the time (their father, meanwhile, seems appeased by the news relayed to him through their mother). fine, yes, no, are yuchan’s answers for him. physically, he is perfectly fine, so perhaps the lie about his health is half true. certainly he needs money, but there is too much pride coursing through his veins to admit it, especially when he knows his brother must be up to his neck in medical school expenses and the lingering costs of the months-old marriage he now boasts on his left ring finger.
he doesn’t know how to tell his family that he is terrified, that he thinks he has failed, somehow, that his own individual auditions have been fruitless, that he fears the news any day now that the gamble nova took on per_se isn’t salvageable, that he will be sent back to busan disgraced and indebted and forgotten.
panic. that is the word for the feeling welling up in him like a broken water main. he succumbs to it for the first time in months, slipping out of an impromptu dance practice after he feels himself losing patience with the pace at which they’re moving as a group, and into a bathroom stall, as he is so accustomed to doing. panic, because, what if, by some horrible miracle, everything, all of it, seven and a half years, was for absolutely nothing? or, perhaps, less than nothing?
he feels like he might vomit, but he never does, staring into an unforgiving toilet bowl until he starts to see a certain number of zeroes staring back out at him in his mind, the same amount of zeroes on his artist contract, like eyes watching him drown in midair.
panic.
eventually it subsides, but only just: only enough that he can breathe again. but it isn’t entirely gone. it is still there grating on his consciousness, tensing his jaw, tightening his muscles, straining his nerves. he doesn’t speak to anyone for the rest of the day, save to their manager, and to huidong, in short, clipped phrases, lest he lose his temper in the direction of the wrong person. his stomach is still turning and the numbers are still ticking in his head, so he downs a hastily mixed protein shake and disappears into his room.
perhaps he will find some reprieve in sleep. perhaps there will be no panic when his eyes finally slip shut and body settles into the mattress.
or, as is more likely, he’ll be left to contemplate his panic alone, as it glues itself to the back of his eyelids, to stay.

★ DARAE & HUI MAMACITA CHOREOGRAPHY
novaentertainment
Published: March 30, 2020
0:00- 1:52
the video starts with sunmi and huidong in one of the dance practise rooms in nova. sunmi’s hair is till strawberry blonde. she’s sporting a white cropped long-sleeved shirt and sweats. huidong is next to her, sporting opposite colours in his outfit: a black v-neck muscle shirt with black sweats. huidong holds the camera at an angle outwards and above his head. sunmi’s attention is on his shirt, pulling at the side with mild interest.
“yah, oppa....did you wear this shirt on purpose because you knew we were filming today?” she teases with a laugh. hui looks (playfully) exasperated with her already, giving her a side glance. “what are you talking about?” he replies. their banter is light and friendly. sunmi cheekily pokes at the muscle definition in his arms.
“you totally wore this on purpose so you would get a lot of attention, right?” hui shakes his head quickly. the squeak toy sound effect plays as he does. the caption added to the video reads “hui has no idea what silly darae is talking about!” she insists again. “you definitely did. are you trying to make our fans swoon?” the caption now reads “he definitely panders to the audience on purpose!”
huidong gives her another side glance and sunmi laughs, clapping her hands together. “i’m kidding!” she says while hui looks into the camera. “i’m ssorry for her behaviour,” he says grinning. sunmi, now out of the shot, is heard saying “yah! don’t say it like that!”
the video fades and comes back in to huidong and sunmi now in position for their choreography. in large text as the camera moves in on them it says “hui x darae choreography”
their moves are sharp and synchronised. it seems that they have a lot of good chemistry when they dance together. it’s obvious that they are well versed with their moves. even if they have different styles, they work well together.
at the tail end of their dance, sunmi smiles and freestyles a bit until the video fades again. this time it comes back to them, post dance. they seem freshed faced. sunmi hadn’t even broken a sweat. sunmi gives a little peace sign to the camera. “i hope you enjoyed!” she says brightly. huidong nods, humming in agreement.
“it’ss not often that darae and i get to do thingss like thiss,” he says. sunmi nods in agreement.
“please give a like if you want us to perform again! bye bye!~”
the video ends.

hi rookies ! 😁 i know im late, like a month or something... last year i wanted to do something rk5th year, but i had literally been in the rp for a week so i figured out it wouldn’t make too much sense... this year i pulled myself together and made something, it’s nothing much and i’m so sorry for that :( i had lots of ideas, but i had to message the main, and every idea i came up with was very time consuming, and as much as i don’t mind spending time on rookies i really wanted to get something out soon! haha. i had the idea of finding quotes for every muse that reminded me of them (which i actually got done for a few muses), but i realized in order to do this, for every muse i don’t know i had to read their bio, multiple solos and threads, and after having done that with like three muses i gave up... i then got the idea of finding quotes from every muse but that was also too much work for me right now, so then i got to my current idea!!!
i often add a quote to my muses’ solos (reference), so i gathered all my quotes from all my muses from the past year, put them into a random thing maker and gave every single muse from rookies a quote (note; these quotes are random, i had eighteen in all!). under the cut you can find the muses with their quotes! you can use ctrl+f and search your muse name to find them! they’re also in alphabetic order if that’s easier!! i used the current masterlist so if it isn’t updated i’m sorry ): tell me if your muse isn’t here, i’ll add them!!!  thanks so much for having me rookies!!!!

The difference between this and any other episode is clear from the start. The camera hovers over the crowd and the currently empty stage as everything happens live. A single low note plays from the speakers and the lights start moving around the set. Receiving the change as a notice of an episode that is about to start, the crowd cheers for what is actually going to be the end.
Shadows can be seen walking to the center of the stage and they’re a total of six. When the view zooms in, the proper song starts to play and what appears to be a boys-only special stage. While they start dancing together, the performance breaks into pieces as each trainee gets their chance to shine with a solo dance break before they come back together to proceed with what was prepared. Once they stop in place for their final pose and the song slowly starts to fade away, the camera pans over the crowd while they quickly leave the stage.
A new song starts to play and when the stage is shown again, there are a total of eight different people. This time, it’s time for the girls to shine. The structure it follows is about the same. They start together, each gets their own time for a solo dance break and then come back together to finalize the special performance. This is something the public had no idea would happen, but also something expected to come from Nova. When they’re done, though, the special stage isn’t.
The boys return to the scene and a piece of new music starts. They keep the dancing groove, continuing with a new flow. When they walk towards the center of the stage, the girls join them, bringing the performance to its final and, probably, most exciting part. It wasn’t any day you got two see males and females dancing together under these companies. Through the course of the show, even if they were close enough to be living together, it is the first time this happens.
When they’re done, the song slowly fades into something the public is familiar with. The screen and lights turn blue and the opening tune starts to play along with the known animation. It’d be the last time now.
The trainees all stand together now in a line. Beside them is the famous MC Lee Kyungjoon. “Welcome, everyone, to the last episode of the SuperNova Project!” The crowd roars in response and he hopes the people watching at home are excited too. “Today, the fate of these fourteen trainees will be decided all with the help of our amazing judges: Han Yonghwa!” The screen shows the coach’s face as he waves. “Kim Hyemi!” The only female trainer nods at the camera. “Park Minsoo!” The last of the three who closely spent their time with the trainees’ smiles. “And, of course, our beloved CEO, Hyun Bin!” The man shows off his best expressions, even turning a bit to smile at some of the people in the crowd.
“Now, we’ll let each of our contestants introduce themselves one final time. Why don’t we start with the girls?” And so they do. There are eight of them: Heo Solji, Kim Hyuna, Kim Yongsun, Lee Kaeun, Lee Sunmi, Meng Meiqi, Son Chaeyoung, and Son Seungwan. Each of them gets only a few moments to say their name and thank the audience before it’s the next one’s turn. They’re followed by the six boys: Ha Huidong, Joo Haknyeon, Kang Yuchan, Kim Hosung, Kim Jongin, and Kim Jungwoo. “Well, didn’t they all do great so far?”
The crowd cheers in response, some fans screaming specific names and love confessions. “They prepared this special opening stage through the course of this final month, as well as a lot more that is about to come. So why don’t we take a look back and see how their training was?” While people clap and the stream turns into recorded scenes, the trainees leave the stage to prepare themselves for their following performances.
As tradition goes, the screen shows an image from the top of the girls living room, and then it changes to the boys. While the images play on screen, the words on the bottom change from ‘Month 3, Week 2’ to ‘Month 3, Week 3’.
The three coaches are shown introducing to them their latest challenge: the opening stage. While at first the trainees may not have looked too surprised, the news of them having to choreograph something themselves hit some harder than others as the cameras do a good job of zooming into their surprised faces. Hosung sits in front of the camera by himself for the interview as he runs his hands through his face. “Then seconds doesn’t seem like a long time but when you’re creatively challenged - like me - ten seconds seems like a whole lifetime to fill.”
Followed by him is Solji sporting a golden vest. “It’s fun but hard at the same time. I haven’t done a lot of choreographing of my own dances, so that part was a bit of a struggle. I just hope that what I’ve come up with is acceptable!” She joked, her laugh sounding more out of nervousness than of thinking she was funny. “With things coming to an end soon, how are you feeling?” They ask her. “It feels more… real than it has ever felt before,” the woman admits. “Before, there was that thought of, oh, if I don’t do well, I have another chance to redeem myself. There’s no turning back at this point now. If you don’t do well, it’s over. There are no more chances.”
Yongsun appears practicing her dance by herself inside one of the practice rooms and when the camera slowly moves to the side, it shows Haknyeon silently watching her from the doorframe. When she’s done, he finally claps his hands, eyes bright and smiles wide. “Noona! That was great!” He walks over to her. “You think?” And she smiles back at him. “Yeah. Back during the MGAs, you were… lacking a little,” the boy says. “But you’re much better now noona. I’m really proud of you! As your old personal coach, it’s really great to see how much you’ve improved.”
“Thank you, Haknyeon-ah. I can’t let you down now, can I, coach?” She muses at him. “That’s right!” Haknyeon replies, smile bright as he laughs. “You’ve made your coach proud!” Meanwhile, another person who used to struggle appears on the screen. “Choreographing is hard.” And perhaps Jungwoo is still struggling as he sighs. The next scene is of him with one of his many coaches. “Noona, I have no idea how to choreograph something that doesn’t look stupid. Help, please.” The boy shows big puppy eyes at the other with a pout to complete the set. “I know you don’t,” Sunmi says with a sigh. “You doubt yourself too much to.”
She keeps looking at him, apparently unphased by his charm. “You know you can challenge yourself to show competence but… don’t try anything too ambitious. You’ll end up embarrassing yourself.” But she relents. “But I’ll help you so that doesn’t happen.” Jungwoo nods. “It’s not long, I’ll try o lean it quick. I know you need to practice a lot too.”
The one next on an interview is Kaeun. “This week felt like a lot of recap from the last two weeks in preparation for next week. Sometimes I feel like I fall asleep to the music of ‘Hush’ and wake up dancing to ‘Omona’.” Someone else doesn’t appear too excited. The local symbol of these types of emotions, Meng Meiqi. “Do you like the choreography?” They ask her. “That doesn’t really matter though, does it?” Her smile is clearly forced. “If i like it or I don’t, I still have to work hard and do my best to enjoy what I’m doing on stage because when if I’m not truly happy with it, won’t it reflect in the performance? Everyone will be able to tell.”
This time it’s a boy who’s asked questions, the youngest of them all. “The last week. Are you ready?” And Haknyeon replies. “I don’t know if I have an answer for that. I’ve practiced as much as I could...I’ve given my all… I want to believe that I’m ready. I-” He stops for a moment. “I’m scared. I want to do well. But I don’t know… I’m trying really hard, but I never know if it’s good enough,” the boy starts choking up. “I’m scared.”
The last of the three girls who made it up to the SAFE zone, Yongsun hears something in her own interview. “So here we are, at the end of the road.” Before the girl can reply, the scene shifts back to Haknyeon, except this time he’s practicing and a piano version of the usually happy opening tune starts to play. He stops and stares at himself in front of the mirror, drenched in sweat. “Am I good enough?” The boy asks himself.
[ tw: blood mention ]
Slowly, while the sad song continues to play, his nose starts to bleed. “Shoot,” he says before putting a hand over it. Haknyeon quickly rushes out of the room, but then returns with tissue paper and bends down to wipe the blood from the floor.
[ tw end ]
The boy remains squatted for a moment before he buries his face in his knees, bursting into tears. “Why can’t I be better?” He asks himself. It’s a feeling every other trainee has felt throughout the project. Scenes start to be replayed, showing highlights of the contestants while they gave their hardest. There’s Ricky, who after practicing too hard, fell asleep in the practice room and Hugo had to carry him to his bedroom. The boy’s voice appears in the background, mentioned how he couldn’t sleep well from the early episodes, and then him turning in his covers. There’s Jungwoo who, after trying his best to perfect different choreographies, received criticism from different people. Sunmi shows the bruisings on her legs before she’s crying in her room, receiving a visit from Wendy to make her feel better. It’s in the same room that the two had their discussion regarding Wendy’s lack of attention to her own health. Meiqi runs away from her rap performance after she forgets the lyrics to it.
There are new scenes now, too. Hosung is shown at a fast speed as he spends time and time trying to come up with a good choreography for his dance before he just lays on the floor, exhausted. Sunmi and Wendy get a new highlight again when the girls wrap up a group practice and the younger approaches the other to thank her. The two hug and Sunmi tells her some kind words. “I love you all very much, okay? I always want to make sure you guys are doing your best.”
The next scene is of Haknyeon back in his practice room, except he decides to wipe away his tears before he plays the song again. No matter what happened, they all continued giving their best. Then it returns to Yongsun’s interview, the one that was cut earlier on. “So here we are, at the end of the road.” They say again, but this time she gets to reply. “Maybe it will be the beginning of another road?” She smiles playfully.
To bring the scene to an end, deeply thought words from Chaeyoung herself. “If you asked me before this project why I wanted to become an idol, I think I would have given you a different answer to the one I’m about to give you right now.” She stops momentarily. “I want to be an idol so that I could inspire people. I want to be that person that advocates growth and development. I was just like the many people who so wanted to be an idol and I hope that throughout this project, people can see that it’s possible to be a talented performer with a good heart.” The screen freezes and the kind words ‘Thank you for your continuous dedication, trainees!’ appears before it’s back to the present time.
The MC stands in a corner of the stage, smiling at the camera until they give him the cue to keep the show going. “I’m certain that the public could all feel their passion and dedication through the screen. These fourteen trainees have been practicing under this project for three long months and today is the day that will conclude it all. The original songs they’ll show today for the first time learned under only one month but they can already be considered professionals. Please pay attention to the first song of the day, ‘OMONA!’ by the girls!”
There’s a warm reaction by the crowd while the trainees walk to the center of the stage, preparing themselves for their first concept. They start off with a cute song which is quite clear from the start. Even if it’s their first time listening to it, the crowd sways as if it’s their long-time favorite song. While its core concept is cuteness, the girls also get to show off their rap abilities quite well, as well as something off to a more mature side in certain moments. Once they’re done, claps and cheering can be heard all around before they quickly make their exit.
“Well, wasn’t that incredible?” The MC asks, and the crowd cheers in response. “Continuing on with their cute sides to show, this time we have the boys with their song ‘I Like It Too’!” There’s just as much cheering as before, and just as said, the boys make their way to the stage this time to show off their charms. The same way the girls had their chance to show off each of their talents, the boys also get the same opportunity, melting all of the listener’s ears like honey with their soft words about love. After they’re done and set on their final positions, the camera changes back to the MC so they may make their escape silently.
Just as before, the man takes a few seconds to smile and nod before he begins to speak. “I hope you enjoyed those cute, soft stages. Did you, audience?” The crowd shouts out different types ‘yes’ which makes the man chuckle before proceeding. “These trainees, however, are no one trick pony! They just showed you their cute sides, but this doesn’t mean that’s all they’re able to do! Their second songs are here to show off their tougher side. Maybe this change will make you say ‘omona!’ but their next song is ‘HUSH’! Please welcome our girls for their next performance!”
Even with only a few minutes to change, these trainees had to learn the hard way how to quickly become professionals. They’re all dressed in new clothes and ready for the second round of showing what they got. With a heavy contrast from the previous concept, the girls go off with a girl crush vibe this time around. Just as before, however, they aren’t stuck to one solid vibe and get to show off their different charms throughout the song. Both the vocalists and rappers get something that makes them shine. Once they’re done, the girls leave again, but this time this doesn’t mean they must get prepared for another performance. They’re done for their time, and must only wait for the boys before they can hear the results.
“They’re certainly girls you must keep your eye out for, but they’re not alone! Coming back with a new image, the boys return to the stage with the last song of the day, ‘WHAT?!” With the MC’s enthusiastically spoken english word, the camera changes over to the six boys onstage. This song certainly adds a new definition to the word ‘exciting’ and makes the crowd put their hands in the air, as the lyrics ask them. The rappers get a lot of highlight for this, but what the song slows down on the vocals, the trainees need to make up for in high-energy dancing. When they’re done, the crowd cheers for them just as energetically.
They don’t leave the stage this time, but the camera still pans over to the MC to hear his following words. “With this performance, the four original songs prepared came to an end. Our trainees have organized themselves in a line here,” the man stops to point at them, and the screen shares a common image. “Fans of the show may already know what this means. At the end of each month, the CEO, Hyun Bin, gives his thoughts on the completion of a mission. This is the third and last month and Hyun Bin’s original thoughts and plans will finally be shared with the public for the first time.”
When the man stops speaking, all eyes fall at the man in question who slowly picks up his microphone. “Firstly, I’d like to thank the trainees for all the dedication they put into this project. I got to watch you closely during these months and am happy to share with you what will be of you from here on out.” He stops for a moment to let the audience clap before he proceeds. “Overall, you all did a great job with the tools you were given. You only had under a month to learn two songs and their choreographies and I have to say your training wasn’t in vain. I believe everyone here and at home could see how much each of you grew under this project. However,” the soft cheering from the crowd stops, and a single ‘ey…’ can be heard.
“I can confirm that not all of you here will leave this project with a confirmed path to debut.” This time, more people in the audience react, but it’s still all self-contained. “There were a lot of questions throughout the show regarding why both male and female trainees were competing and what would be the outcome of this… well, you’ll have to wait just a bit longer to know that.” The audience complains again, but Hyun Bin carries a smirk on his lips. “What we’ll deal with right now is eliminations. While we took into consideration all of your progress up to here, it was this final month that confirmed each of our decisions, whether they were good or bad to you.”
The man stops a moment to irk his head before proceeding. “Those who trained for longer clearly had more advantages during this project, the same way that those who took part in competitions before this one also had tricks that others didn’t share. However, tricks can be learned, can’t they? If practice time was all it took, there’d be more of you here today. What was stuck in my mind was the composition of the group, and how well each of you would work together, and if each of you would have something to contribute.”
“Lee Sunmi and Ha Huidong… they both contribute with their dance abilities, but they also help the other trainees and bring the best out of them. Wendy and Jungwoo are both great singers that helped make their songs pop out. Just like that, I felt like someone had to be taken away for harmony to be better.” Hyun Bin stops, tension building up in the air. The more he waits, the more people anticipate a commercial break. “While this person’s abilities grew, they weren’t able to reach our expectations. Today, the one to be eliminated is Kim Yongsun. You’ve given your best this far, but it wasn’t the best we wanted. We could all agree that you’d be the best choice to make as far as eliminations go. You’ll continue with Nova Entertainment, of course, but you’ll remain with your trainee position.” The camera focuses on her face. “Thank you for your time here, and now you may leave the stage.”
And so the camera looks back to the CEO while the girl is escorted out. “And the next to be eliminated is…” the man continues only after a blink. “No one.” The crowd reacts one again, but this time in confusion, as many should be feeling. “When thinking about the outcome of this project, the question was always if it’d be boys or girls. I didn’t want to do a co-ed group, but that wasn’t a wall that’d stop us. When we gave you all the opportunity to take part in this project it was with the intention to debut two groups, a boy group, and a girl group.”
Hyun Bin takes a brief second to breathe in. “In case the message isn’t clear, all of you who are standing on stage right now will be debuting.” The man stops again, but this time the audience reacts more appropriately. “I give you all my word, both you, the trainees, and the public, that both groups will make their debut before the end of the year. They’ll be the latest addition to the Super Nova universe and new energy to this world.”
The crowd cheers and a camera pans over the trainees' reactions. “The two groups will act as sibling groups and, for this, we’ll reveal their names right now.” Hyun Bin points a hand forward and to the screen behind the stage. An animation following the style of the usual intro twists and turns until two words appear on the screen. “Following the mythology, ANDROMEDA was saved by PERSEUS and shared their story until the end, when they both became constellations in the sky. These names were modified to fit the modern times.” While he speaks, the names are changed on the screen. “PERSEUS has become PER_SE, with a symbol representing the sea he lived his adventures in, while ANDROMEDA became AND*ROMA, with a symbol representing the stars.”
Once the explanation is done, the focus returns to the CEO. “Not all is done, however. The end of each month comes with another tradition. Even if your positions have already been confirmed, there is one more title to give. To congratulate you for your hard work, Lee Sunmi and Ha Huidong were chosen as the final MVPs of the project. You both showed not only talent by yourself, but through the help, you’ve provided to your fellow trainees.” The audience keeps on with their wave of cheering, the results appearing to satisfy them.
“Congratulations to all of you and, to all of you at home, you can be sure you’ll be hearing from them soon.” The camera changes over to the MC who stands beside the line of trainees. “Thank you all who tuned in for the grand finale of the SuperNova Project. Please look forward to your favorite picks in the future and make sure to tune in for further news with Nova Entertainment. Have a great Sunday, and thank you once again for your support. Goodbye!” The view is slowly zoomed out, showing the trainee reactions on the side. While the screen stops by the judges to show them clapping, ‘OMONA!’ starts to play as a background tune before attention returns to the grand victors of the day. The stream keeps live for one more minute before it simply comes to an end.

﹢let’s 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘯 !
                                                  (  𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚  )
the floor is a bit uncomfortable to lie on, but he doesn’t waste his breath complaining.  after a tiresome day of group work for one of his classes, he wants nothing more than to wind down with a cup of tea and a good novel---but ah, he promised hyojeong that he’d marathon the supernova project with her.  they had both signed recently, and kun’s a bit embarrassed to admit that he doesn’t really know all that much about nova entertainment  ( save for what he had researched prior to his audition ).  so in that regard, hyojeong’s already doing much better than him.  that aside, neither of them have been following nova’s most recent project, and though -- admittedly -- he’s not that interested, he still feels obligated to watch it out of respect.  these are the people he’ll end up seeing around, so tuning in is the least he can do.
his heart drums against his chest as he watches the episode unfold to introduce the senior artists, the ceo, and finally the three mentors.  they seem like nice people, but their words are sharp, unforgiving.  he flinches.  he’s had his fair share of criticism, but none of them have ever been broadcast to, well, the entire internet.  that, in itself, drives a sliver of fear through his veins, making him a little anxious of what’s to come for him.
as they begin to talk about the trainees in the project, his brow furrows, though not out of disapproval as his expression may unfortunately entail.  he knows someone on here.  a childhood acquaintance.  it’s going to be a little weird watching her  ( and perhaps even weirder to see her in the building once she returns from the project ), but he digresses.
hyemi introduces ʀɪᴄᴋʏ, a surprisingly young kid with a mouthful of achievements.  he hums, impressed and somewhat intimidated.  comparatively, he hasn’t done much at all.  or at least, nothing televised.  when ʜᴜɪᴅᴏɴɢ appears on screen, prompted by yonghwa, kun blinks.  the eldest of the trainees?  sure, huidong looks older than yuchan, but how old can he be, really?  lips pressed, he does a quick google search while ʜᴏsᴜɴɢ is being introduced.  he’s juuust about to make a comment about the cute interaction between yuchan and hosung, but then something else catches his attention.  “huidong is thirty?”  he turns to look at hyoseong, who’s still in high school.  “how . . how long has he been a trainee?”

Tumblr media
the first month had officially come to an end as solji found herself standing in front of her ceo to be given comments on their final performance and the individual performances leading up to it. she was nervous. part of her wondered if she’d make it or if she had somehow ruined her own chances in some way without realizing. that, just maybe, she had not done enough to make it through.
as the group performances were being discussed, solji held her breath.
“before anything, if the group performances were meant to compare the two groups, then one completely destroyed the other. the boys choice was a much better fit for their member composition and not only was it interesting to watch, but it looked like they enjoyed performing it as well. i really can’t say the same for the girls, and if you weren’t enjoying your own performance image me having to sit here and watch you do that. you should be thankful the group performance won’t be everything for this.”
had it really been that bad? she couldn’t quite believe what she was hearing. it was true. she liked the other choice that had been selected, but she hadn’t expected quite those words from hyun bin himself. well, there was nothing they could do about this now except take it into consideration for next time. if there was a next time. and if so, should she be more vocal about the song choices going forward? she wasn’t entirely sure, and she knew that she hadn’t exactly had strong opinions about it this time around.
suddenly, names were starting to be called. solji felt her heart racing in her chest as she waited for her name to be said but it seemed to come so slowly. kang yuchan, son seungwan, kim hyuna, son chaeyoung, ha huidong, bambam, kim jungwoo. seven names were called before they even reached hers. some were being asked to step forward, and one was even asked to stay in place. what did this even mean? were they being eliminated? or was there more to it than just that?
then finally, she heard her name come up.
“someone I wasn’t expecting to impress me was heo solji.”
she felt her body shaking nervously as she awaited what was to be said. however, the fact that the comments started out with ‘wasn’t expecting to impress’ was good, right? no one used that on someone who didn’t end up impressing them, did they? or would they say that, unfortunately, she had met that exact expectation?
“i heard you were a good singer, but you surprised in many different ways. ends up you’re a bit of a dancer, which is something I did not know. you took part in the dance break for the group performance and, not only that, but you have a strong aura around you. even next to better skilled dancers you still managed to stand out. your rap was definitely lacking, but you’ll still take a step forward today.”
she nodded her head with each of the points made, her smiling growing wider as hyun bin noted that she had surprised them in many different ways. the painful labors of the past four weeks seemed to be nothing now that she was able to hear those small words of praise. “thank you,” she exclaimed brightly, bowing after she had been given her feedback.
of all the things she had been criticized on, it had simply been her rap which she knew would always be the thing that would get to her. however, she was thankful that she had at least been able to shine in the areas that she felt she was strongest in.
finally, after the remaining trainees were discussed, the steps forward were explained, and solji couldn’t believe that they were actually being split into safe and danger groups. she wished everyone were safe, but of course that couldn’t be a reality, right? it was better that they had another month to prove themselves before being eliminated.
she’d continue to work hard for this project. the first of three months had already flown by. she was certain that she’d be able to get through the next two. fighting, heo solji! she told herself. it would be okay.
