Feeling Icky? Marc Spector to the Rescue

Marc knows something is wrong when he returns from a mission for Khonshu and you don't bound over to greet him.

He finds you in Steven's shirt from three days ago in almost the exact same place he'd left you in the bed. That was very unlike you.

He crept silently to your side of the bed in case you were asleep and knelt down. He found you looking completely disheveled.

"Oh baby, whats wrong?" Marc cooed softly while he pressed a hand to your cheek. He recieved a mumbled reply of feeling icky and he knew what he needed to do.

Marc left the flat and proceeded to the store picking up your favorite snacks and a copy of your favorite movie.

He picked up a sunflower for you as well wanting to brighten up the flat with the cheery glow.

Once all his supplies were had been gathered he returned to you and the flat.

His first stop was to pull you out of bed despite your protests.

While the water for the shower heated he got the bed stripped and the bedding in the wash. He remade the bed in fresh sheets and blankets knowing that was one of the first steps to help you feel better.

The second was a shower. He undressed you and himself before climbing into the shower to help you wash.

The hot water seemed to help and you gave him a small smile.

Once you were clean and dressed he hustled you back into the the bed making sure you were tucked in against the chill.

Marc filled a tray with your favorite snacks, the sunflower and a glass of water. He knew you weren't going to be happy about the water so he brought you an electrolyte drink as well.

He sat the tray next to you in the bed and started up your favorite movie.

After a few minutes of consideration Marc shifted the pillows that where behind you and took their place so that he could cuddle you.

"We are going to stay like this until you don't feel icky anymore."

You huffed out a small thanks, knowing that he meant every word. And you loved him with your whole heart for it.

Feeling Icky? Not on Steven’s watch…

Steven has had a day. Donna rejecting his tour guide application put him in a foul mood. He can’t wait to return home to you. His rock. You always brighten his day.

When Steven sees you unmoving in the bed, he worries first that something had happened. And he dashes to the bed to check on you.

You roll away from him when he pulls the covers away muttering about feeling gross.

He realizes you probably haven’t eaten or drunk anything all day probably only leaving for short trips to the bathroom.

He’s not going to let the both of you spend the evening wallowing in misery.

“Out of bed love go shower,” he orders softly.

You grumble and try to pull the blankets back over your body in an attempt to not leave the bed.

Steven isn’t having it. He scoops you up and carries you to the bathroom. He sits you on the toilet while he fills the bathtub with your favorite bath things.

Once the tub is full and the water is fragrant Steven helps you out of your clothes and into the warm water.

“Can’t be your best self covered in a layer of grime, can you love?” Steven asked. He gave you a wide smile before trotting off pleased with himself.

You washed your body quickly and sat in the bathtub until the water turned cold, you wondered why Steven hadn’t come to get you.

You climbed out of the bath and toweled off quickly and on bare feet padded to the living room to find him.

Steven was putting the finishing touches on the pillow fort he was building When you walked around the corner.

He quickly passed you the pajamas he’d collected before he’d gotten distracted by the pillow fort. He’s wanted to make sure you were cozy and this was the first idea that came to mind.

You took the pajamas and pulled them on quickly and threw your wet towel in the laundry.

“I’ve got soup, snacks, your special tea and I’m going to read Howl’s moving castle until you feel better,” He told you with a sweet smile that made your heart flutter.

He offered you his hand and you grasped it, letting him guide you into the pillow fort.

Once you settled in he pushed the bowl of your favorite soup in front of you. He hadn’t forgotten you in the bath, he’d been preparing all this.

You started to cry softly making him wring his hands thinking he’d done something wrong.

You were quick to reassure him. “You’re perfect I just love you is all.”

Steven gave you a heart stopping smile and leaned in to press a kiss to your forehead. “I love you too,” he whispered before cracking open Howl’s Moving Castle to read to you.

He spent the rest of the evening reading and waiting on you hand and foot until you were smiling happily. He was glad that both your bad days had turned into something lovely

i wanna say thank you for the all the kindness i've received in the passing year from all of my beloved mutuals and followers. the fact that ya'll have stuck with me through all my fandom hopping and droughts in art uploads means a lot to me. it's been very encouraging to see how much people enjoy my work, along with all the sweet comments people leave in tags, and it really helps motivate me figure out how to do my art full-time. i have a lot i wanna do this year, ( like build my portfolio so i can finally pursue professional work, ) so i hope everyone will continue to support me going forward! 🥳✨
