In my AU, they would need Gyftrots for riding, even in the wars (sometimes they would hunt them for survival too XD). Besides, Sans is prolly also good at giving riding lessons lol

....may you find some peace amongst the presents this holiday season!
Upon first seeing Gyftrot from Undertale several years ago, I wanted to create a Rankin-Bass rendition of the character (ala Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, etc). Like many, I grew up on those stop-motion specials during the holidays, and they had a large impact on my interest in the medium. I'm pretty stoked with how the finished image turned out! Gotta include a bonus behind-the-scenes shot, because it lends a vastly different perspective.

So a little thing about this AU is that it definitely has some sort of threats >>
Some info: VOIDs are entities that come from the void that somehow managed to break through reality and infest the underground. The way they operate is to find the nearest creature in the area and “take over” the soul and use their body as a vessel.
To identify VOID possessed monsters can be based on their physical appearance, like unusual markings on their body mainly black in color as seen with the Gyftrot above. The way they act can also be signs of possession, which includes sudden hostility.
When a monster is infected with VOID there is no saving them, the only option is to “end their misery”, which isn’t very good for the current population of the underground.
VOIDs are an occasional problem in the underground, so the king decided to find people who can take care of these incidents, giving the role of “VOID exterminator”. Sans is a volunteer, he has a lot of knowledge on VOIDs so it makes his job easier. He doesn’t really enjoy it though since he has to kill one of his kind, and feels sympathy to those who were infected.
There is another VOID exterminator, but I’ll introduce them later on.
I’ve been waiting to share this for a while now to give a bit more information about this world and AU- I just like talking about my stories ヽ(✿ﾟ▽ﾟ)ノ
