“Do not be shaken by the events of this present life. The struggle will continue with a variety of bad events in humanity in general. Our sins are great. What we sow we shall reap. Fight with faith and courage in the Lord Jesus. Do not despair. The struggle will be hard and dangerous. God's protection will save His true children.”
~Elder Ephraim of Arizona

Christianity doesn’t promise a life without troubles and struggles (John 16:33), it promises that at those moments God will be at your side lending you His force (1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Philippians 4:13, Psalms 28:7) and that in the end (even if it’s the end of your life) you’ll be victorious (Romans 8:37, 1 John 5:4-5, Revelation 2:11).

My Refuge and My Fortress
1 You can go to God Most High to hide.    You can go to God All-Powerful for protection. 2 I say to the Lord, “You are my place of safety, my fortress.    My God, I trust in you.” 3 God will save you from hidden dangers    and from deadly diseases. 4 You can go to him for protection.    He will cover you like a bird spreading its wings over its babies.    You can trust him to surround and protect you like a shield. 5 You will have nothing to fear at night    and no need to be afraid of enemy arrows during the day. 6 You will have no fear of diseases that come in the dark    or terrible suffering that comes at noon. 7 A thousand people may fall dead at your side    or ten thousand right beside you,    but nothing bad will happen to you! 8 All you will have to do is watch,    and you will see that the wicked are punished. 9 You trust in the Lord for protection.    You have made God Most High your place of safety. 10 So nothing bad will happen to you.    No diseases will come near your home. 11 He will command his angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 Their hands will catch you    so that you will not hit your foot on a rock. 13 You will have power to trample on lions    and poisonous snakes. 14 The Lord says, “If someone trusts me, I will save them.    I will protect my followers who call to me for help. 15 When my followers call to me, I will answer them.    I will be with them when they are in trouble.    I will rescue them and honor them. 16 I will give my followers a long life    and show them my power to save.” — Psalm 91 | Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) The Holy Bible, Easy-to-Read Version Copyright © 2006 by Bible League International. for anyone too young to know this: watching The Truman Show is a vastly different experience now, compared to how it was before youtube and social media influencers became normal
before it was like, "what a horrifying thing to do to a human being! to take away their autonomy and privacy, all for the sake of profits! to create fake scenarios for them to react to, just to retain viewership! to ruin their happiness just so some corporate entity could harvest money from their very humanity! how could anyone do something so evil?"
and now it's like, "ah, yeah. this is still deeply fucked up, but it's pretty much what every influencer has been doing to their kids for a decade now. probably bad that we've normalized this experience"

God's Grace
Tumblr media
Deep within a tranquil forest, a man named Alexander carried a heavy burden of despair that seemed insurmountable. He wandered through the woods one misty morning, seeking solace in nature's embrace. As he ventured further, he stumbled upon a forgotten campsite hidden beneath the thick foliage, frozen in time like a melancholic memory.
The remnants of a fire pit, a rusted cooking pot, and a worn-out backpack hinted at the past occupant's final moments. Alexander, feeling an inexplicable connection to this desolate place, decided it would be his sanctuary—a place to confront his own inner demons.
Gathering dry wood, he ignited a fire and prepared a simple meal, recreating what felt like his last supper. As evening descended, a strange calmness enveloped him, and he contemplated the depths of his despair. Determined to end his suffering, he fashioned a makeshift noose from a nearby vine and hung it from a sturdy branch overhead.
With trembling hands, he placed the loop around his neck, ready to step into the abyss. But fate had a different plan. The branch, the very instrument of his impending demise, suddenly snapped, and Alexander fell to the ground, miraculously unharmed. The vine slipped from his neck, and he sat there, bewildered.
It was as if the forest itself had intervened, sparing his life in a surreal twist of destiny. Staring at the broken branch above him, Alexander realized that he wasn't yet meant to meet his end. This close encounter with death had given him a newfound hope.
Sitting on the forest floor, he knew he was granted a second chance—a chance to find meaning and healing amidst the wilderness that had refused to let him go. Alexander vowed to carry this newfound hope with him, as he embarked on a journey of redemption, guided by the mysterious force of the forest that had saved him from the brink of despair....for now....
