Lesser Light, describes life in the regular world after experiences that are hard to make sense of in the high-control environment of a cult-like church. It follows a group of young adults investigating their past together, while a malevolent force tries to drag them back to the place of worship. Was it spiritual abuse or something supernatural?

Matthew’s new book is a work of fiction, but contains elements from his own life and describes the complexity of leaving when religion has previously been the foundation of your life. The story also contains educational snippets of LGBT+ history connected to locations throughout the north of England.

On the subject of PILF's, literally the only saving grace of The Unholy was Diogo Morgado as the hot priest/monsignor. I was drifting that movie, but whenever he appeared on screen, he got my full attention 🫡

Also Cary Elwes plays a hot priest and hams it up a bit, but tbh Morgado is where it's at

Horror history is filled to the brim with exorcism and religion based films that are only passable cause some hot person has decided this will be their moment, the hottest moment of their lives

I could draw something that I'm enamored with that's really difficult in many ways that is destined to make me cry out of frustration or I can redesign another gay lawyer just standing there and staying within my comfort zone. Or I could finish up my first AA fic because I'm so close to being done but the ending is being hard.

does anyone else have this thing where a writing demon possesses them and everything goes black for a while and when they've come to they have written and posted 30000 words of a fic that they don't even really remember anything about?

I watched that my best friends exorcism movie and honestly it was really good. I thought it was genuinely scary (it even had moments of comedic relief) and the acting in it was really good. And one of the characters is canonly gay. But, the relationship between main girls was like straight up, overt baiting. Like the entire movie we were meant to believe they were going to get together at the end

Ngl I think the young adult genre actually is what got me to stop reading as a kid like as soon as I hit 6th grade I was like why is this all fucking garbage

So, I'm minding my own business, reading Bowuigi fanfiction because why not? When my flamboyant flaming homosexual self is just like, "*tounge click,* yeah sis, but what if you squealed like a twelve year old?"

I then I think, "Oh, I should start planning a new Pufnstuf video," AND THAT SAME FLAMING HOMOSEXUAL HAS THE NERVE TO TELL ME, "Yeah, that, but more hand flaps. Also, *tounge click*, start giggling like a five year old."

(I laugh too much at my own jokes! It's like demonic possession but gay! Help!)
