DSC6742 I haven’t been able to go out and work on my night time series for the past several weeks. But my camera still calls to me, so I’ve returned to the studio, so to speak, to shoot flowers. I decided to use light painting. The result is really an eclectic mix of styles. Each day, I ran with whatever idea came to me, and improvised as I went along. So this is more an odds and sods collection than a series of thematically connected images. There has been a lot of discards along the way, but enough keepers to start posting. It is keeping me engaged, and I hope to soon get back out under night skies. For a look at them as a collection, check out, Flowers & Light Painting

DSC7185 The final shot in the series. This is one image in a short series from one morning on the coast. There had been a big storm, it was passing and the light and sky were changing fast, and with it the feel and mood. I decided not to give this series a cohesive look, rather to let each image dictate its mood and direction. For a look at them as a collection, check out, GulfCoast

DSC4167 This is one image in a short series of scenes I encountered while shooting the Cover of Darkness series that didn't translate well into b/w or simply looked more compelling in color. So ... the Color of Night. I'll be positing these while Cover of Darkness is on hiatus and I work on some still-lifes. To see more in this series, visit Color of Night

The newest post from Neowiz makes me think that a Capcom and lies of P collab could happen, even though it's so unlikely. But the thought of seeing P with Frank West or Vergil in the same room is so exciting, and my tiny brain is going wild with it.

DSC2855 My goal with this series is to explore every day scenes under the cover of darkness. A street corner, a lamp post, a doorway. Big city, small town, urban, rural. Man-made light versus nature’s darkness–––light and shadow interpreting minimalist settings in black and white. To see more in this series, check out Cover Of Darkness Early on in the COVER OF NIGHT series, I shot a couple gas stations. They were not initially the type scene I was looking to capture, but when I came across one late at night, bright and isolated in the darkness, it was impossible for me to resist, so I continue to shoot them. I have now shot enough that they have become a series-within-the-series. For a look at them as a collection, check out, Gas Stations

DSC5946 This particular scene, while working fine in B/W, appealed to me a bit more in color. The color really takes on a different feel in the nighttime darkness. Not better, just different. So what the heck, this one is in color. Also, it joins that short color night time series I did awhile back. To see more in this series, visit Color of Night

Me begging for all the cut footage like I don’t explode any time I find a picture I’ve never seen before.
Genuinely reached peek insanity. I don’t think I could handle it, I’d like - genuinely explode- bringing back spontaneous combustion✨ — I’ll dig for it myself MGM I’m in your fucking walls.
