summary: i hate doing these js read to find out 🤎

paul and i started dating about a year after Emmett and the rest of the cullens left town, i missed Emmett i’d have to admit, but i tried and failed at convincing him to stay for me, but i clearly failed.

the cullens had came back a little over a few weeks ago, i was currently on my way home from skating, but it started raining. rain. one thing i hate about skating, it ruins boards.

“you’ve been ignoring me” i heard a very familiar voice coking from the living room, as i walked into the house.

“no i’ve been mysteriously keeping my space” i said as the tall, buff, and beautiful, pale man stood up, i leaned back again the wall looking up at the ceiling.

“why won’t you look at me ?” he asked softly, i heard his footsteps getting closer to me, that’s when i felt the frozen skins of his fingertips on my elbows, i tried to look everywhere but at him.

“i can’t.” i said bluntly, trying to remove myself from this situation.

“yn, please” he tried to grab my jaw, trying to force me to look at him, we were together for centuries, i kinda just got used to the feeling of his cold hands on me, but after this time without his hands and paul’s warm hands instead, had my feelings everywhere.

“emmett you left me, i was over it, i found someone new, and now you show up here !? after all this time, no call, no letter, no explanation ! and now you just want me to act like it’s fine !? it’s not Emmett, it’s not fine !” i shouted at him, he stepped back acknowledging what he had done.

“look i know and i’m sorry, i am so so so sorry, but i didn’t have a choice !” he tried to explain himself, but honestly i didn’t want to here it, not right now anyway, i’m going to paul’s tonight.

“you need to leave, i have places to be and people to see” i told him, pushing him towards the door.

“you mean paul ?” he asked, i looked up to see his face, all broken and hurt, i let out a breathe i didn’t know i was holding in and nodded, closing the door.

once i changed i was on my way to see paul.

once i arrived at emily and sam’s, i got out my car and walked through the open door, it’s was dark outside, so they were inside watching a movie.

i said hello to emily who was with sam in the kitchen, before walking to the living room.

i sat down beside paul “hey”

“hey beautiful” he kissed my forehead, pulling me into his side.

“what happen to you lip ?” i asked him, noticing that it was a little purple, he just looked down to the ground and sighed.

“this should be fun” embry spoke getting up and walking out the living room, the rest of the pack following him.

“what did you do ?” i asked him standing up, i had no thoughts my mind just went blank. nothing.

“listen me and emmett kind of had it out earlier” he tried to calm me down, he tried to grab my hands once he stood up, i pulled my hands back.

“did you hurt him ?” i asked, not want to go all tribrid on him. his silence was the answer. “what did you do !?” i asked running to the back door and running through the woods, crossing over to the cullens land.

alice either saw me coming for edward could hear my thoughts, cause carlise and esme were already outside, holding the door open.

i stopped one they saw me, i gave them a pleasing smile, before carlise nudged his head up, gesturing for me to come on.

“he’s okay just a little sore” carlise spoke, thank god i thought, i walked inside hearing emmett’s soft, sweet, but deep voice.

“yn, is that you ?” once i heard where the voice was coming from i run upstairs and in that direction.

i walked into the living area where emmett was laid out on the couch, edward and rosalie stood up and walked out, jasper and alice probably still out on the look for victoria.

“are you okay ?” he asked me.

“you’re the one sitting on the couch, hurt. and you’re asking me if i’m okay ?” i questioned him sitting in front of him on the coffee table, he shrugged his soft golden eyes meeting mine.

“i was trying to figure out if you were gonna come, then aloce had a vision” he said.

“i’m sorry” i told him, maybe if i would’ve just looked at him earlier he would be okay, or maybe if i just kept him a little at my house a little longer, or if he wasn’t such a dumbass he wouldn’t have done it.

“it’s not you fault, only person i can blame is myself.” he paused. “and maybe that asshat paul” he said i scoffed a bit and rolled my eyes.

“next time there’s a chase don’t be such a dumbass. the wolves can handle their side of the land” i told him, he chuckled before nodding.

“especially now that they have you” he said looking down.

“hey, you have me emmett. you always have” i said, he looked up at me and smiled, palming my face, pulling me into a kiss, i smiled into it, finally having him back.

i pulled away from the kiss, resting my hands on the sides of his face, i pulled him into a hug, his head into my neck.

i wish so much that we got to see the vampires and wolfpack get along without all that racism and fighting. Just good old fun. (And a way more diverse cast) but like imagine if twilight was set during the 2010s?

imagine if tiktok was a thing during eclipse?

Rosalie would just be on live showing how to fix a tire caught in the mud and in the background Emmett is just yeeting himself off the roof and she’s just blinking into the camera saying it was a bird

Next think you know someone has made it into a gif and zoomed in and Emmett is suddenly considered a birdman and the wolf pack is like bet we can do one better and transform into wolves jumping off a cliff but lie and say it’s really good effects bc Seth goes to school for that stuff

And now Rosalie is stuck helping glue feathers onto Emmett bc Leah said it would make the lore more believable (really she didn’t think he’d do it and got $50 from Embry for asking)

So, after seeing this post by @the-most-pathetic-edge-marquis, I ended up going through the Illustrated Guide a bit more thoroughly to look at the ages of all the Twilight Vamps when they were turned. It's a bit creepy honestly, and the woman the woman is for sure not trying to hide her knks with these mostly teenagers.

And i dunno, quick fic info sheet if it helps anyone 🤷‍♀️

Edward – 17

Bella – 18

Alice – 19

Jasper – 19

Emmett – 20

Rosalie – 18

Esme – 26

Carlisle – ‘Approximately’ 23. I would like to take the time to mention that people did know the date when he was alive, so the fact Carlisle canonly doesn’t know his exact age is ridiculous. AND ALSO the London sewers had not been created at this time, so how was he killed by sewer vamps smeyer!?

Victoria – Born in the 1550s, transformed late 1560s, at around 18.

James – Born around 1780, turned around 1805, making him about 25. 🚩

Laurent – DOB 1700s, turned around 1740s at about 40.

Eleazar - DOB 1700s. Transformed in 1700s.

Carmen – DOB 1700s. Transformed in 1700s. Lazy writing. 🙄

Irina – DOB 1000s. Transformed 1000s.

Kate (full name Katrina I just learnt) - DOB 1000s. Transformed 1000s.

Tanya - DOB 1000s. Transformed 1000s. We get it smeyer, you can't be bothered...

Garrett – DOB mid 1700’s. Transformed around 1780. Won’t lie. I read that wrong at first and thought he was 80 for a sec…

There is not really any info on the girl’s mother, Sasha, that isn’t in the books, but the immortal child, Vasilii, she created was 3.

Aro – Ok, so the guide says ‘Born around 1300 BC’ and ‘Transformed around 1260 BC’ But at the bottom of the same page says he was ‘transformed in his mid-20’s’ so ????

Marcus – ‘Transformed before he was 20’ But at the top of the page has his DOB as ‘Around 1350 B.C’ and his date of transformation ‘Unknown’… Like girl can you not do simple math!?

Caius – Late 40’s. But same as Marcus, has a DOB but and unknown date for his transformation.

Sulpicia – Described as a ‘lovely young orphan’ 😶

Didyme – No age, but is younger than Aro.

Athenodora – No real description, was already turned when she met Caius.

Alec – 12 or 13

Jane – 12 or 13

Demetri – DOB around 1000 AD. Transformation after 1000 AD. Thanks smeyer, very helpful.

Felix – Mans got no birthdays 😔

Heidi – DOB before 1550. Transformed before 1550. Yup, ‘before’ on both dates. How can this woman give everyone an exact height, but lose interest with the birthdays? You size-kink is showing smeyer.

Renata – Around 20. Why does this random character who doesn’t show up until the end have an age, but my man felix got nothin!?

Chelsea – DOB before 1100AD. Transformation after 1100AD. Girl just pick a number 😤

Afton – No dates

Corin – No dates

Santiago – No dates

Amun – Born before 2500 BC, but no indication of age.

Kebi - Born before 2500 BC, but no indication of age.

Benjamin – Born sometime between 1790 – 1800. Transformed sometime between 1805 – 1820 at age 15. HE IS 15!?!?!?! 👶

Tia – As a human, she was 3 years younger than Benjamin. But she was turned 5 years after him when she was 17. They are also distantly related. Because of course they are 🥴

Liam – Born around 1615, turned around 1651, making him 36.

Siobhan – Born around 1490, turned around 1510, at approximately 20.

Maggie – Born 1832, turned 1847, also 15! 👶

Maria – No DOB, but transformed 1800’s or earlier, at 19

Lucy – No dates.

Nettie – No dates

Stefan – Unknown DOB, turned before 1000 BC.

Vladimir - Unknown DOB, turned before 1000 BC. Also, smeyer did enough research to know Romania was not yet a country when these two were turned, but didn’t know about the London sewer system. My girl, get 👏 it 👏together👏

Alistair – Born around 1300, transformed around 1320, so is around 20

Peter – Born between 1860 and 1920. Turn between 1860 and 1920. Just pick a number woman.

Charlotte – Born between 1920 and 1925. Turned around 1938, at 18. Smeyer, just say she was born in 1920, why is it so hard for you to do that. The amount of times I’ve written ‘around’ is starting to piss me off. JUST DECIDE. IT IS LITTERALLY UP TO YOU. 😤😤😤

Senna – No dates

I think when you first tell him you try to make joke “oh you didn’t know? I see dead people.”

He’s and idiot who apparently doesn’t watch the classics and goes “yeah that’s what we are.”

No darling, like people who are vampires and are stuck halfway through life and death, ghosts?

Carlisle just blankly stares, he is somewhat surprised but I mean if vampires exists why not spirits?

Can he help them? No???? Probably says a prayer when you tell him you see them in hopes they find peace one day or something.

Doesn’t want to assume they’re evil but if they weren’t why are they still around???

Asks a lot of questions

Esme

She kinda just doesn’t believe you at first? “Haha. Oh okay dear.”

Like it just doesn’t process right away

I think after a while she probably has a lot of questions but her questions come from grief so she treads carefully

Does everyone become a ghost? No? What about kids do kids become ghosts (do you see where I’m going with this?)

Sometimes???

The answer is enough for her to ask you to go to where she buried her baby she wants to know he’s okay

You have to explain babies don’t really have the capacity to become ghosts they are young, they’ve never done anything wrong or have any unfinished tasks

Esme doesn’t know if she’s relieved or depressed

She’s glad the baby she lost so long ago isn’t stuck here but at the same to be able to talk them one more time even through you would be wonderful.

Esme realizes while she loves her adopted children she hasn’t allowed herself to grieve and you’re going to have to talk her through her feelings which you have become quite adept at doing since you’ve been helping people say goodbye for so long

Rosalie

She wonders if Royce is a ghost and hopes he’s miserable but other than the occasional question when you seem to see something she doesn’t press

She never stops you from saying anything

But she enjoys some of the stories you tell her from the spirits that stop and want your help

She urges you to help the kids and women who are stuck while someone who tormented them gets away scotch free

In fact if she knows how to find someone she will do something herself and tell you to tell them they’ve been taken care of. If you can help them she wants to help you

Emmett

Thinks it’s neat

Probably makes fun of some stories they’ve told you

He died how? Dude. Acts as if he can see the ghost too. You’re there with your head in your hands because you really need to stop telling him these things

Asks a few questions at first but also mostly listens to the stories you have.

Jasper

Thank god I don’t feel their feelings too

Literally first thing he thinks of. Because it sounds miserable when he already has to tolerate Edwards moods

After he gets over his relief he wonders how it weighs on you since it must be hard to see all of those people

Not really it’s not much different than you, but they can’t touch anything

This probably send Jasper into a spiral tbh

Tries not ask too many questions because he is honestly worried about dying and having to worry about a whole other world of deal with other peoples emotions

Alice

She knows

Doesn’t care

She probably relates to being the weird kid but she’s convinced she fits in perfect now and you two will be fine

You don’t tell her she is definitely not fitting in

It’s nice someone is understanding without needing to explain yourself

Edward

Worries that someone as wonderful is plagued by this

Does not listen when you say you are used to it

Worries about spirits bothering you

Because if they are stuck surely they are degenerates that couldn’t get to heaven

You ask him how it’s any different from vampires stuck here eternally

He is distraught for months
