Inside tents where forcibly displaced Pales\/\/tinians are sheltering in Deir el-Balah, in the centre of the #Ga\/za Strip, a group of women are making traditional cakes for the upcoming #Eid holiday using supplies provided by charity organisations.

Despite the grim reality of the w\/ar, Ahlam said that through this initiative the group is “trying to create an atmosphere of Eid joy for children”.

Ahlam has lost multiple family members in the last six months of Israeli attacks, including children, cousins, an uncle and her brother-in-law. Several of her neighbours have also been kil\/led.

“I will miss a lot of people on the night of Eid,” she lamented.

Forcibly displaced children in Deir el-Balah said they appreciated the women’s efforts.

“They were trying to make us happy in school by creating [a holiday] atmosphere for the month of Ramadan and Eid,” said Rama Kassab, a young girl living in a makeshift shelter.’”Source | @aljazeeraenglish
