As a non American can you explain why are there 3 concerts in Ohio? Is it a really big and populated state? Or else Louis could've done 1 bigger venue.

Sorry. I had to scream a little in the car because listen 😂😂😂 when the dates were announced I wanted a single show in Ohio. We get passed over all. The. Time. So often. So I first saw cuyahoga hills and was like…. Why there??? Nothing is there??? 😂 but OHIO! And then I saw Cincinnati and I was like… Cincinnati too???? Okay! Hitting the northeast corner and southwest corner of the state! Cool! And then Columbus too??? Like I legit texted @londonfoginacup asking like HOW MUCH DOES LOUIS LOVE US THAT HE IS GIVING US THREE OHIO SHOWS? Like we have to go to all three to show him Ohio loves him and this wasn’t a mistake right??? 😂
Which we obviously did. But we were just as surprised as you, I PROMISE YOU.
That said, there’s a lot of reasons why he could have chosen three shows here.
One: Ohio has three major metropolitan areas in the one state, which is pretty rare outside the super large and populous states. He’s hitting the three major markets and since he seems to be trying to hit even the smaller areas that don’t get much attention with this tour, it makes sense for that alone really.
Two: Location. Ohio is a state in an area of the country called the Midwest, but we are located in a pretty central area. This could explain it as well, because he’s not going to Kentucky (the state south of us) and I don’t think he’s going to Pittsburgh? (The closest large city east of us, he played there last year on Valentine’s Day hehe) which means they’ll be looking for shows to attend closeby, and Ohio can offer that. So while he’s also hitting Indianapolis (closest large city west of us) and already hit Detroit (another large city in the state north of us), he’s also not playing West Virginia (another state that borders us) and… yeah. Lots of people in that space who will be needing a place closeby to see him.
Which brings us to three: Population. We aren’t the MOST populous state or anything, there’s a reason people get us confused with Iowa and Idaho lol but, that said, we are the tenth (or seventh??) most populous according to the google search I just did lol different sites disagree, but when you consider there are fifty states, that’s still a good showing lol considering we have so many other populous areas surrounding us that the concerts would also draw from, that could have also been a contributing factor.
And lastly four: SCENERY. Listen. Ohio gets shit on a lot for being a “boring” state or a “flyover” state (aka no one comes here as a destination) and it pisses me off lol every single person I’ve ever brought to Ohio has been surprised when they got here because there was so much more here than they thought and parts of the state are GORGEOUS. I mean did you see the flyover view that John Delf did on Instagram of the cuyahoga falls venue??? That’s actually in a national park and it is just stunning there with gorgeous hiking and waterfalls and shit in the near vicinity. It’s amazing. And the venue he played tonight in Cincinnati was literally right on the Ohio river that creates the southern border for our state, and it had a view of one of my favorite bridges I’ve ever seen! PLUS!!! Tonight there was a full moon, and it was right above the bridge and Louis got to look at us AND THE BRIDGE AND MOON THE ENTIRE TIME. How gorgeous is that??? Like look at this shitty photo I took. Incredibly beautiful.

That’s from the railing that was only a short distance behind me and the sound guys for the concert so. Not shabby, right?? Now the venue in Columbus is right downtown in what we call the arena district because the arena where our hockey team plays is right across the street and the baseball stadium is next door and the new soccer stadium is in the area now too, so it’s got loads of venues and restaurants and shit right there and Kemba is one of the best indoor/outdoor venues in town now. I’ve seen several shows there over the years, and it’s great every time. It’s got good sound, a good setup, and the staff is always fantastic so while it’s maybe not the coolest venue, I do love when artists I enjoy come there. Not sure of the appeal on Louis’ end, but ¯\__(ツ)__/¯
So, taking all of these points into consideration, it does make a bit more sense… but three does still seem like he just felt like being overindulgent to us and show us extra love 😂😂 as emmu said, I guess Louis loves us best hahaha
We are just kidding, please don’t send me hate lol
I honestly also do not know why he chose to do this for us, but it makes travel plans a lot easier for us and I’m really fucjing thankful haha I’ve mostly been worried we wouldn’t be able to fill the venues sufficiently but so far so good so here’s hoping Columbus shows up too haha Heaven only knows parking and driving in Columbus is a fuck ton easier than doing so in Cincinnati 😂

"In the case of car culture, the problems of sprawl and automobile dependency did not inevitably result from the automobile itself, but from the power interests that redesigned society around it. The problem was created by subsidies to monoculture development, freeways systems imposed by eminent domain, and legal prohibitions — like zoning — against mixed-use development.
Before the rise of car culture and car-centered urban design, the norm was the compact, mixed-use city or town where residences were within foot, bicycle, bus or streetcar distance of the downtown district where people worked or shopped. Increased population was accommodated primarily by modular proliferation — e.g. the railroad suburb — rather than outward sprawl.
Absent the imposition of car culture by the federal and local governments and by the local real estate industry, the automobile would have served a useful niche function in cities laid out in the old fashion. Its primary market would have been people like farmers in the areas outside cities, where population concentrations were insufficient to be served by streetcar or rail lines. For periodic trips into town and back, perhaps in a small truck capable of conveying a load of vegetables to the farmers’ market or bringing home groceries and dry goods, a light internal combustion engine or electric motor would have been sufficient. With no need for rapid acceleration on the freeway, there would be no point for heavy engine blocks with six cylinders, and the overall weight of the vehicle could be reduced accordingly. With flat body panels capable of being produced on a cutting table, there would have been no need for Detroit’s two- or three-story stamping presses. The automobile industry would have been an affair of hundreds of local factories.
Hence it is not true that “[p]ast a certain threshold of energy consumption, the transportation industry dictates the configuration of social space.” Rather, the configuration of social space dictates the forms of transportation adopted, which dictates the level of energy consumption.
Illich’s tendency to see the proliferation of managerial bureaucracies and their unwilling clienteles as an expansionary phenomenon in its own right with no need for a causal explanation, rather than a secondary effect of larger class and power interests, is also illustrated in his treatment of squatters.
Both the non-modernized and the post-modern oppose society’s ban on spatial self-assertion, and will have to reckon with the police intervening against the nuisance they create. They will be branded as intruders, illegal occupants, anarchists and nuisances, depending on the circumstance under which they assert their liberty to dwell: as Indians who break in and settle on fallow land in Lima; as favellados in Rio de Janeiro, who return to squat on the hillside from which they have just been driven — after 40 years’ occupancy — by the police; as students who dare to convert ruins in Berlin’s Kreuzberg into their dwelling; as Puerto Ricans who force their way back into the walled-up and burnt buildings of the South Bronx. They will all be removed, not so much because of the damage they do to the owner of the site, or because they threaten the health or peace of their neighbors, but because of the challenge to the social axiom that defines a citizen as a unit in need of a standard garage. [emphasis added] Both the Indian tribe that moves down from the Andes into the suburbs of Lima and the Chicago neighborhood council that unplugs itself from the city housing authority challenge the now-prevalent model of the citizen as homo castrensis, billeted man.
Illich’s framing of this as some inherent expansionary logic or hegemonic drive inherent in the “managerial-professional classes” themselves, and not the outcome of a much larger, long-term process of land privatization and enclosure driven by capitalist class interests, is a major critical failure."

The True Creator Behind SQUiPs
The speculation of SQUiP origins has long been debated. Of course names like SQUiPSoft or MicroSQUiP frequently pop up, as well as others like HRTech. Some even go to theorize it may be a well-known company that covertly funds a small group, or possibly a government organization seeking to gain control. But who really created these powerful little pills that impact our daily lives? And is it safe to trust them?
That’s what we’re here to find out.
Some base information we know is that of the history of SQUiPSoft and MicroSQUiP. Both companies may still linger around, although we only get the rare updates occasionally heard from them like SQUiPSoft’s recall from earlier this year. They supposedly even merged back in 2005, although it is unknown what company formed from it or if it’s still functioning. But based on their names, the famous computer company Microsoft may possibly be behind SQUiPs. Or maybe they chose a more reasonable and SQUiP-related name. Or kept one of the original two. We can’t say for certain. Even still, the creation of SQUiPs isn’t set in stone, so while these two companies are likely candidates, other companies may have taken to developing SQUiPs too.
Besides that, we know SQUiPs originate from Japan, but what does that really mean? Is the company itself based in Japan or is one of its founders? This is the explanation HRTech gives, as R. Hashimoto himself developed them in Japan. If you’re curious about finding out more information about HRTech, who claim to be the inventors of SQUiPs, feel free to check out Hashimoto’s blog here, Ayano Ryuunosuke’s blog here, or Unit 2282’s blog here. Although, take note that HRTech is a private company, and it seems like they’re picky with new applicants.
SQUiP creation would also likely need huge funding. SQUiPs can go for anywhere from $400 at your local mall backroom to $600 from resellers. These prices are an absolute steal for a piece of one of the most advanced technologies on the market. Meaning, whoever is creating SQUiPs must be well funded. Billionaires like Elon Musk have already proposed similar concepts of neural implants with his investment, Neuralink. SQUiPs might be an early test run of this technology.
Speaking of other things Musk has taken credit for, Detroit, Michigan is known for their car industry. Despite this, maybe Detroit’s future is one of tech.
The up and coming Detroit-based company, Cyberlife, who’s main focus is on the construction of life-like androids could be our answer. Who’s to say our modern day SQUiP couldn’t be one of Kamski’s– the mind behind Cyberlife– original prototypes before he moved on to a less digital format?
Although, Hashimoto seems to not be a fan, calling Kamski “a ‘huge bitch’” so it’s clear Cyberlife and HRTech are at least not working together.
Known for their Severance procedure, Lumon is also in the wheelhouse for pushing the limits of the human mind. This procedure essentially separates the work and life memories through a small, pill-shaped device implanted in your brain! Sound familiar? Lumon fits the criteria perfectly to design the technology capable to function alongside humans just like SQUiPs.
Another tech industry company, Gamefuna could also be behind it with their life-like games and advanced AI endeavors. Rumors tell of their game’s characters acknowledging the player and displaying sentient traits. This behavior resembles the intelligence of SQUiPs.
Hatchetfield, also in Michigan, may be a particular spot of interest. Well known for their mysterious disappearances and rumors of cryptids like the Hatchetfield Ape-man and the Axe Man, an often neglected part of the town lore is that of its budding tech company, CCRP. 
Rumors circulate around the company– fully known as Coven Communications, Research, and Power– with their main office right in the middle of the tiny town’s downtown. Some speculate they may be experimenting with cloning, android creation, or even time travel!
While most of these rumors seem false at a first glance, there may be some truth. Back before 2017, some people documented donating a detailed copy of their DNA to the company as a way to make a quick buck. Is this their start to experiment with making clones? Or will it be used as a base for android copies? Or maybe is it just as their name entails– genetic research.
Either way, no one can say for sure. And, the company has a well-known tech branch. With all of these rumors, who’s to say this company didn’t invent SQUiPs too? It’s all in the realm of possibility.
Speaking of which, the government organization, PEIP, often associated with Hatchetfield may also play a part in it. While mostly kept secret, and little is known about them, PEIP could be the shady specializers in SQUiP technology. Their full name standing for Paranormal, Extraterrestrial, Interdimensional Phenomena may not fit perfectly, but SQUiPs are known for their interdimensional nature, as they’re able to analyze all potential outcomes, and thus universes and dimensions with their quantum processors.
Although, this is more of a stretch, as not much can be found about them. But still, SQUiPs themselves are similarly undocumented.
But beware. There are plenty of other organizations who may be involved in illegal SQUiP creation. A few companies come to mind. AceTech, the mysterious company responsible for 00111111, and a couple others. Modders, human and SQUiP, may also be responsible for bootlegged SQUiPs.
There’s also companies not to be confused with SQUiP creation, but their introduction of SQUiP-compatible sister technology. Think SQTechnolgies’s Squissistant and InterSQUiP‘s virus prevention efforts. Not to mention SQUiPWorks and SQUiPusa as well.
In reality, it’s equally as possible SQUiPs were created from all of these places. Thanks to their quantum nature, many SQUiPs are able to interact or potentially come from all timelines.

Gregory Mannarino got it right. In his article this week he states that “Currently every single forward-looking economic indicator is pointing towards dramatically worsening economic conditions moving forward, and this IS good news for the stock market. While it may seem or even sound counterintuitive, in today’s environment the faster the economy craters the higher the stock market will go.”
Why does he say this? Because he is 100 percent correct when he says, “Today, there is no correlation whatsoever between the economy and the stock market.”
Let’s look at the worsening economic conditions. According to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s latest Commercial Delinquency Report, commercial mortgage delinquencies in the third quarter of 2023 increased for the third-consecutive month.
Feeling the pressure ahead on the banks as defaults rise—along with the high interest rates—bank stocks continue their slump, with the SPDR S&P Bank ETF down about 15 percent this year.
Indeed, what is barely mentioned in the mainstream media is one of our Top Trends for 2023, OFFICE BUILDING BUST. According to Kastle System, the office occupancy rate in the 10 largest cities in the U.S. is just 51.6 percent. 
And as for the vacancy rate, how about this headline in The Colorado Sun last week: About 30% of Denver’s downtown office space is vacant—and that doesn’t include “zombie buildings.” 
Yes, “zombie buildings”… empty office properties that are leased but empty.
And this is Denver, not down-and-out Detroit. 
According to Morgan Stanley, the nonaccrual commercial real estate loans for banks it covered rose some 40 percent in the third quarter and are up 140 percent year-to-date.

Everything downtown detroit was built up for out of towner stadium goers. And casinos like oh let's go to campus martius and walk around for a block until there isn't anything interesting anymore. That's detroit. I love the architecture, maybe it's cuz I've lived here all my life idk it just sucks amd I saw what a real city looked like, like it was actually best if you didn't own a car in Chicago that's new, you gotta drive to 3verything here and it takes half an hour. The only thing interesting here is mexicantown and eastern market. The riverfront park is cool too amd there's Belle isle but everyone goes there.

Welcome to Michigan! The waterways and waterfalls! Soo locks, state parks and Walloon Lake. The apple farms and cherry blossoms and two striking peninsulas bordering four Great Lakes! The sandy shore-lines, the spring-fed rivers, the Mackinac Bridge! Blissfest! Henry Ford! Tulip Time! Motown music! Bring a set of clubs, try your swing at Harbour Point. Wear the tan pants with pockets on the hips. Carry the things in them that matter most: the paper matchbook from Petoskey, your sister's postcards from Marquette, a turkey feather, a rabbit's foot. Sip lemonade and listen for the biplanes overhead making figure eights in the sky. Carry a canoe around St. Mary's Rapid, like the Ojibway. Overhead, sixteen geese cast their shadow V over the straits of Mackinac. There is the smell of leaves burning, wood stoves, cigar smoke and compost.
The people are generous, warm, outgoing, helpful, industrious, always willing to lend a hand. They give clear directions to the interstate. Have you been to Frankenmuth? Christmas in July? The Renaissance Festival? The Renaissance Center? Have you harvested baby's breath in abandoned lots? Have you been on a three-wheeler, a snowmobile, a ferry to Beaver Island? There are rainbow trout and catfish, beaver dams, curious raccoons, and mourning doves moaning overhead, balanced on power lines.
Follow 1-75 downstate to Detroit. Listen for the lonely echo in Tiger Stadium, traffic on Grand River Avenue, the empty aisles of Hudson's, long abandoned. Look around and spend the day in mourning. Oh Detroit, you complicated old man, nearly dead, with your shoulders arched over the river, polluted and gray, the threads of your shirt worn down with disease and car exhaust. You have grown thin with industry, car factories, riots, raids, transportation nightmares. You have eaten Coney dogs with relish and onion. You have built magnificent buildings only to burn them. Your children's children have squandered their dowry. They strut on the streets. They throw trash in the trees and hang their laundry on ropes fit for hanging.
Oh Detroit, what have you done to man, his wife and kids, his cousins, his music, his hairstyles, his shoes with white tips, his pleated pants, his elbow slung out the car window, his basketball courts, his officers downtown, his nightclubs, his shirtsleeve tucked over a pack of cigarettes, his imagination, his industry, his sense of humor, his home? Oh Detroit, what have you done to city hall, the public trains, the workers' union, the Eastern Market, Boblo Island, the Ambassador Bridge? Where have you put your riches, where have you hid your treasure? Your concrete over-passes, your avenues as wide as rivers, your suburbs bloated with brick homes and strip malls and discount liquor stores and resale shops. When you are dead and gone, who will care for your children's children. They have run wild with the bastard boys around the streets, reckless car rides downtown, rigorous dancing, drug taking, knife-stabbing, pillow-stuffing, tail wagging restlessness. They have been drunk with this for years. They have been out of their minds. They have been left with nothing.
Even still, here and now, there is a renaissance of hope. The streets will take up horns and play free jazz, the buses will clang their bells in time, the buildings once burned out will be home to the homeless. Living rooms will be filled with furniture. Broken families will reconcile. Women will be honored with lilac wreaths. Men will begin to lower their voices. Children will fill playgrounds and parks with the sounds of their playing.
Who can call us father, or who can call us son? If we have regarded ourselves abandoned by whatever thing (a person, a lover, a parent, a false prophet, ourselves), then we have lost touch with the great family, ourselves, all of us together, in this great place called Michigan. Who is your neighbor? He is your brother. Who is that stranger? She is your mother. The man downstairs hammering on the wall, the woman blow-drying her hair in the bathroom-these people are your family. Have you lost your mother to death? Have you lost your father to disease, to war, alcohol, drugs, a car accident? Nothing can replace them. They have been made known completely in death, to whatever supernatural landscape (who can say for sure?). Until then, it is our hard task to welcome the widows, the children, the orphans, the fatherless into our family. What little effort it takes -- a friendly nod at the stranger on the street, giving change to the man who asks, saying hello or goodbye, opening doors, keeping our mouths shut. In the small things, the day-to-day gestures, the normal business of the day, we do the great work of the kingdom, which is to welcome each unlikely individual into the fold, one person at a time.
We do these things, not because we are Michiganders, but because we have been called to participate in the world’s creation from the very beginning. Making music. Baking cakes. Sewing curtains. These things mean something greater: that we have been known from the very start. Our eye color, our hairline, our jawline, the shape of our big toe, the tone of our voice. These things have been designed from the very beginning. What kind of music we listen to. The sort of skirt that looks good. The baseball cap, the tennis shoe, the orange bandana. We have been made to find these things for ourselves and take them in as ours, like adopted children: habits, hobbies, idiosyncrasies, gestures, moods, tastes, tendencies, worries. They have been put in us for good measure.
Perhaps we don’t like what we see: our hips, our loss of hair, our shoe size, our dimples, our knuckles too big, our eating habits, our disposition. We have disclosed these things in secret, likes and dislikes, behind doors with locks, our lonely rooms, our messy desks, our empty hearts, our sudden bursts of energy, our sudden bouts of depression. Don’t worry. Put away your mirrors and your beauty magazines and your books on tape. There is someone right here who knows you more than you do, who is making room on the couch, who is fixing a meal, who is putting on your favorite record, who is listening intently to what you have to say, who is standing there with you, face to face, hand to hand, eye to eye, mouth to mouth. There is no space left uncovered. This is where you belong.

Like any other year, no end-of-year reflection would be complete without looking back at all the food adventures that I went on. Without further ado, here are the foods (and drinks) I got to try this year.
