I sure did love the 2017 DuckTales reboot. I sure would love to buy it on DVD so I can watch it legally whenever and support the creators even though I'm too poor to justify extraneous monthly subscriptions, like I'm still not even subscribing to LotRO these days because I just can't afford it.

Pity they only released like 5 individual episodes on DVD.

#this definitely doesnt mean that im just watching it in a not quite legal way since there isnt a viable legal way for me to watch it #i mean disney plus isnt that expensive i guess #but the thing is they keep taking the stuff i actually care about off the service #and im just too old to get into like. disney channel original movies #i really hate to say it but i cant be watching *checks notes* zombies 2 at my age #well maybe when i take my phone off my moms plan verizon will let me have another 6 month free trial #and at the end of that point i will have been at my current job for a year and maybe i will get a raise and can reevaluate subscriptions #also lets be fair to disney channel original movies motocrossed was really good #i did a paper on it for a class in college

so….star wars

on the one hand i’m happy fans of underrated parts of the sw universe are getting some love and there are a lot of stories to be told within the gffa but on the other hand i feel like we’re officially seeing the marvelification of Star Wars. stories outside the skywalker saga are cool and welcome but also. at what point does it become too much and uninspired and just to make a profit.

#plus star wars was originally one central semi coherent plot #to me new shows are great if they’re supplemental like tcw and kenobi and andor where they add more to the stories of the movies #i haven’t even seen the mandalorion but it seems like when starting out it had the purpose of showing what things were like after the OT #now it seems like it’s at the point where Disney has gone ‘people will give us money if we make star wars stuff’#so they’re pumping out whatever #i’m not saying new stuff will be bad! i just think we’re going to see a noticeable drop in quality as more stuff gets mass produced #because that’s what this is. mass production #star wars
