I feel like some of Disney's recent crossover projects are trying to bring the Kingdom Hearts fans over into something Disney has more direct control over and isn't weighted down by Nomura's fanfiction. It's funny to me. Like sorry bestie, but Mirrorverse and Lorcana and Dreamlight Valley are NEVER going to be the next Kingdom Hearts. Making a vaguely high fantasy world with Disney characters at the center isn't exciting or special the way forcing Mickey Mouse into a massive, convoluted Shonen anime JRPG is.

My version of Randall Boggs in Mirrorverse.
The resourceful lizard somehow managed to use magic to his advantage, controlling it with technology. He has been causing various conflicts in the kingdom and regularly has fights against other guardians, almost always failing. It is believed that his relationship with magic is responsible for his body becoming so worn out, injuring himself when using it. Maleficent knows this and wants to take advantage.
(I honestly enjoyed drawing this, I hope they get Randall into the game officially)

a series of events:
i am on the official server for the gacha pvp game disney mirrorverse.
disney mirrorverse does not have any queer characters yet because they only release two characters a month and disney only has like three actual gays in their repotoire
however they wanted to do something for pride month so they have quests themed around characters who represent different colors of the rainbow. cute ig
ariel is red so i go on the server and make a joke about how she’s the trans rep
someone is confused and i explain how her story could easily be read as a trans metaphor and also how hans christian andersen was gay
me and two other people end up having a philosopher-level discussion on hans christian andersen’s queerness and howard ashman and all that
i bring up andersen’s iconic moment of going to dickens’s house and lying facedown in the dirt and then staying for five weeks
i do not name dickens cause i forgot which author he was with so i just say “a friend”
other person tries to say it was dickens
the server is child-friendly so it automatically flags the word “dick” and temporarily blocks the person
we all start referring to dickens exclusively as “gonzo”
