Event interest check
Hi Digimon fans! As many of you know, "Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning" is coming to theaters in Japan on October 27th, 2023. I would love to hold a spoiler-free, week-long 02 specific event in the days leading up to October 27th. It would celebrate 02 as a season, the characters, the themes, the Digimon, Jogress partners, side characters, villains, and everything in between!

OFFICIAL Daikeru Day date announcement: Saturday, March 11, 2023!
Hey Daikeru fans! I’m going to leave the survey up until Dec 1 like I said I would, but it seems like I’ve gotten enough response to firmly come up with a date. I’m going to officially remove the date choice question, but feel free to fill out the other questions if you haven’t already. Because over half of you said you want a date in March, I’m making an executive decision for Saturday, March 11, 2023. Prompts will be available in December. Hope to see you then!

DIGIMON CON 2024 Date Set!
Get ready, Bandai has just announced the date for DIGIMON CON 2024, which seeks to be a celebration of all things Digimon, presenting a wide range of content for the enjoyment of people all over the world who love Digimon.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 10th, 2024 starting at 12:00 JST, or Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 7:00 PM PST, 10:00 PM EST. DIGIMON CON 2024 will be streaming live on the Digimon Official YouTube channel per usual.
This year is the 25th anniversary of Digimon, Chinatsu Sakamoto, who plays Agumon, Mayumi Yamaguchi, who plays Gabumon, and Kacho Shigematsu, who plays Biyomon, are also scheduled to appear!

How to find local Digimon Card Game events near you!
First, you'll need the Bandai TCG + app. If you don't have it already, you'll need to create a Bandai Namco account.
You pick the Card Game youre playing, in this case Digimon, and the region you're in.
Then, on the home screen, you can see current events. You can either click events directly or go to event search.
It should apply a filter for your region automatically, but you can also freely edit and apply the search filters.
Then, you can look through the list of events and see if any place is close to you. You can preview the locations on google maps, if like me, location names alone don't tell you much.
When you click on details, you can see date and time, the store and location, event regulations, and further information on the way the store manages the event, such as entry fee, capacity etc.
From my experience, the stores take around 5 to 10 EUR (in Germany) for entry. Usually, this should guarantee a participation pack at the least, and more depending on how well you play.
But you will have to see these things for yourself, as it can differ from store to store, I would guess.
If you go to local events, try, if you can, to support the store, such as buying boosters or pre-ordering displays. I know they are cheaper to buy online, and no shame in that, but do not take online bought display boxes etc. and open them in the store.
(Yes we had this problem in our store, the owners felt very disrespected and almost decided to close the weekly Digimon events.)
Support small businesses. They have to pay for the location, for storage, for their employees, and have to earn a little more than just break even. They can not compete with online bulk buyers who have no physical store, etc. to pay for.

Digimon Adventure 02 Film Countdown Event Results!-- We're Having an Event!!
First of all, thank you to everyone who voted, I'm really grateful for your support. What I'm getting out of these results is that around 41 people said they would be interested in participating in a countdown event dedicated to 02 and its characters. That's a pretty significant number, so it looks like I will be running an event! I imagine it will take place from October 20th-26th, with "Day Zero" being the release date of Oct 27.
Remember: This event is celebrating 02 as a season, and will contain NO spoilers for the film it is counting down to. If anyone was concerned that this event is solely about the film itself, you do not need to worry! This event will be for all fans of 02 regardless of your interest in the new film.
I will create a blog and hashtag for the event soon, so stay tuned for that! Please feel free to send me asks or ideas in the meantime. They are always welcome!

Bandai Announces DIGIMON CON 2024!
Not much information here, but in a tweet from the official Digimon account, Bandai has announced that DIGIMON Con is returning for 2024! Historically the virtual event streamed live on YouTube takes place in February, but this year the date and time has yet to be announced.
In fact, there really isn’t any information about DIGIMON CON yet. All we know is that it is returning. Fans have been speculating that a new Digimon game may be announced, we shall see soon!
