Detox Diets Keeping Your body in Shape through Proper eating
If you’re feeling sluggish, or you think you’re always full and the food has settled in your stomach, undigested. If you think you’re fat and need to lose weight. And if you think that you’ve ingested more than the allowed preservatives and additives into your body and your liver’s starting to show symptoms of abuse, then it’s time for you to go on a Detox program.
Detox or detoxification is the process of neutralizing or eliminating toxins from the body. Detox plans may be in different forms and ways – from regular exercise to body scrubs and spa massages, to yoga and meditation. But the simplest and the most common perhaps is to go on a detox diet.
A detox diet is a program that minimizes the chemicals ingested into the body by going for organic food. It highlights food like vitamins and antioxidants that the body needs for detoxification. It also involves taking in of food that will aid in the elimination of toxins like high fiber food and water. It generally suggests a high intake of fresh vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts and lots of fluids, while cutting down on caffeine, alcohol, yeast and sugars.
So why go for a detox diet? If you’re a regular fast food chain eater, you’ve probably ingested many fat-soluble chemicals contained in the French fries, cheeseburgers, twisters and soft drinks you’ve consumed. An ‘overload’ of these chemicals in the body can lead to illness and conditions like liver malfunction, kidney problems, hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiencies and inefficient metabolism. And the most common symptoms of these illnesses are the usual fatigue, poor skin and low tolerance to pain.
By going on a detox diet, people would have improved energy, clearer and fairer skin, a regular bowel movement, improved metabolism and digestion, increased concentration. Generally, it spells wellness and a better well-being.
A word of caution…though anyone is allowed to take on a detox diet, pregnant women or those who are nursing are cautioned not to go on such plans as they need the necessary nutrient for nursing. And unless recommended by a doctor, people with anemia, eating disorders, heart disease, low immunity, low blood pressure, ulcers, cancer, the underweight or those suffering from alcohol or drug dependency should try on a detox diet. Furthermore, such detox diet programs should be properly planned with the doctor and a nutritionist.
Other Things You Need to Know
Side effects may occur within the first few days of starting the detox diet. There’s headache and a general feeling of weakness as the body is adjusting to the change in food intake. So it is recommended to start your diet plan gradually or on Fridays when you won’t be doing much physical activity or requiring much energy. Others may experience diarrhea as the body eliminates the toxins, so take care not to be dehydrated. Drink plenty of water.
Take note that such detox diet programs should not be done for a long time. They are normally recommended to be done at least one to two times a year, and should be done during the warm months.
If you’re thinking of getting started, make sure you consult a doctor or a nutritionist. Read up on detox diets and seek advice from the experts. Remember: Too much is bad. After all, you’re doing it to improve your health, not ruin it!

A fun thing about being in your 30s living with your 60s parents
A late night conversation might start off innocuously 'we should eat leftovers for dinner tomorrow instead of cooking something new' and wildly devolve into 'a ten day detox diet might not be healthy, aren't you seeing your doctor on Thursday, you should ask them' and no, the fact that a *doctor* invented the detox diet doesn't mean its actually good for you.

I’m going to be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about Saint owning and BillyBabe being the spokesmen for a herbal detox drink, those things are dangerous and bad for your health. It causes diarrhea, constipation, dehydration, vomiting, shakes, heart palpitations, fainting, anxiety, depression, fatigue and other various issues. Detoxing is actually a myth, your body naturally flushes toxins out on the daily, all detox teas and drinks do is cause you to have terrible diarrhea which can lead to the rest of the issues I mentioned above. Plus it enforces disordered eating habits as well as just feeds into the toxic diet culture that is so rampant in the entertainment industry that actors and musicians are doing horrible life altering things to their bodies that could very well end their lives sooner rather than later. The ‘weight’ you lose on those teas isn’t any actual weight but simply water, which will cause your sodium levels to rise which will cause bloating and swelling causing you to actually seem heavier when stepping on a scale. Neither the loss of water weight nor the bloating from high sodium levels are actual genuine weight loss or gain, but simply your body mass fluctuating in a very (typically) natural way.
Saint has always been a great ally, as well as a passionate producer and actor. He’s pro sex, pro mental health, pro women and pro equality. But this new venture of his really disappoints me, I’m also disappointed that he dragged Billy and Babe into this as well. Especially since Babe has already gone on record saying that it’s difficult for him to put on muscle and weight, he trained as much and as hard as the rest of the actors on The Sign but was unable to keep any of that weight on. So him now showing off a thinning detox drink is just worrying, because people who might not have his type of metabolism will see him and think that they can get to his size by using these drinks when really, they can’t, he is thin simply because he happens to be thin. It’s like Billy being tall, you can’t help these things, it’s how their bodies are meant to be.
I dunno, this whole new Fitoxy thing gives me the ick. I honestly never thought I’d say this because I truly adore Saint, but I expected better from him.

Not sure what I was expecting this morning, but it wasn't finding out that Carol Vorderman (British celebrity) is non-monogamous and in a relationship with an astronaut, but yeah, sure. Why not?

friendly reminder to my homies to always, always research and find credible sources to your information... was looking up food PH values today (this legit helps manage my intense GERD by eating more appropriate alkaline/basic PH foods) and one of the fuckin articles had lemons and limes listed as alkaline............. bro.........................
lemons and limes are so low on the PH scale they are incredibly acidic and I just. know this. its called CITRIC ACID for a reason... my god
thankfully I found a really helpful medical journal that did a surface level PH test of common foods & ingredients and it's really dope. will absolutely help me plan my nutrition better while keeping my acid vomit at bay
^ pdf for anyone wondering and also looking into alkaline foods to balance chronic GERD ^ (also the higher a foods PH is, the more alkaline it is aka it will assist with neutralizing GERD / acid reflux. generally, aim for foods with a base PH of 5.0 or higher)

Fasting - About Digital Detox
02/21/2023
Dear friends <3, From tomorrow on, I will be on a digital detox until Easter. You've heard right - this means no TV, no YouTube, no Tumblr and no Social Media for me, except those that only serve for texting friends or networking professionally.
Doing that, I have mainly 3 goals:
To train my self-discipline and get mentally stronger by actively omitting things that I, currently, am slightly addicted to.
To gain mental clarity and find the joy in reading books, newspapers, drawing and other slow activities again.
To prove to myself that I can do this.
As a child, I used to take fasting (the period from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday) very seriously, and would every year give up sweets or watching TV (at that time, I fortunately did not have any social media, which made it easier...) and I would pull through ice cold. Not because of god or religion; but because I wanted to prove to myself that I was stronger than my desires. I remember how proud I always was when I achieved that goal.
Abstaining from social media will be very hard for me - I know it. But it is the right thing to do. During this time, I want to pause for a moment, use my time more consciously and wisely, use it to be more physically active, read more and bascially achieve all three goals mentioned above.
So, you all will be hearing from me again on Easter Sunday. Until then, stay safe and healthy and on Easter Sunday I will write a post on how my fasting went. 😊🤞
Much love <3

Here are some tips for losing weight naturally and healthily:
Eat a balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid processed foods and sugary drinks.
Exercise regularly. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week.
Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep can lead to weight gain and other health problems. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
Drink plenty of water. Water can help you feel full and may also help with weight loss.
Eat slowly and mindfully. Pay attention to your food and try to eat without distractions. This can help you enjoy your meals more and may also help with weight loss.
Limit your intake of alcohol. Alcohol can contribute to weight gain and may also interfere with weight loss efforts.
Seek support from friends, family, or a healthcare professional. Having support can help you stay motivated and on track with your weight loss goals.
Remember, losing weight is not always easy and it may take time. It's important to be patient and consistent in following a healthy lifestyle.
