Author’s Original Notes: I haven't been able to see the movie version yet, so I can only satisfy my cravings by listening to the voice actors' recitation of the plot > < (But the recitation is really great!)

When I saw Tanjirou say this line, it really felt like something he would say >w<

And in the "Infinity Train" arc, there's Tanjirou's validation of Inosuke's boss status, which makes me imagine if they had any small conversations like that between them haha >w< !

Poor cinnamon roll Tanjirou, despite being so young, he carries a heavy burden that few can truly understand and empathize with. It's heartbreaking to see the sadness in his gentle eyes, knowing the tragedies he's already experienced and will continue to face.

Thankfully, Boss Inosuke is there to look after his Underling #1! I love how he confidently declares himself as the boss, yet feels warm and fuzzy and blushes when he realizes that Tanjirou truly agrees with him. It's heartwarming to see how Inosuke makes Tanjirou feel secure, and this comic portrays it beautifully. Also, Tanjirou's blushing in that last panel too (⁄ ⁄>⁄ω⁄<⁄ ⁄)⁄.

so normally I like love cons especially the vendor room and the artist alley but this year I'm like. Deeply disappointed. There is just simply Not Enough Gay™ for me

I think the reason the NFT grift is so successful in Japan is that even industry artists or exceptionally successful mangaka are making very little money and that's how the sell takes off

Even the demon slayer artist (no they didnt do NFTs) made fuck all from the largely successful Mugen Train movie, and it's known how underpaid animators and other artists in the industry are and even if they make shit like doujins or w/e bc of copyright laws theyre making like 5-10 dollars a book so its not actually crazy con money like people might think

Doesn't make it justified but it's just like damn, there is truly no communicating how much of a snake oil pitch those things are for a lot of artists

Doujima 2023!

This post is for 6 May 2023

I finally went to my first-ever convention! Doujima, short for Doujin Market, is a convention showcasing some 400 independent fan creators held from 6-7 May at Suntec Convention Centre. My friends and I got there at around 11am and there was already a really long queue to get the wristband to enter! It was such a shock to me since that line has been there since 10am. So many people were in cosplay and I was really wowed by the quality of some cosplays there, many of them were from popular animes like demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen but there were also cosplayers dressed up as VTubers! My friends went in cosplay but I didn't have any so I just went in an outfit inspired by a character from a famous webtoon

We got in at around 12.30 and there were already so many people queueing up at different booths to get their stuff! It was so amazing looking around and seeing the different art styles that each boother had and what made each of them unique! The hall was so big so there was alot of walking and I did get tired out once we left the hall to take a break but when we went out we saw a massive queue to get the wristband to enter! I thought it was bad when my friends and I first got there but it got 10x worse!

We walked around the outside areas and saw many other cosplayers! It kind of inspired me to cosplay too for fun! Overall my first con experience was really fun and I managed to get some merchandise for myself!

Ohhhhhh!!! I actually saw that doujin, I didn’t realize it was a thief x agent AU! The art is gorgeous, and so is the story 👀 I wish I could afford it 😩

NGL it makes me crave modern adventure rntn … modern demon slayers… (sighs)

This is a super cute story of touch-starved Inosuke wanting head pats from Tanjirou. He not only learns from Nezuko, but one-ups her with a heart-shaped garland. Awww! I love Tanjirou's expression when he receives the garland. His gentle eyes are just filled with pure unadulterated surprise and happiness! Inosuke's blushing face when he removes his boar head is so pretty too! The last scene is really heartwarming. Cinnamon roll Tanjirou deserves all the love! And it looks like sneaky Zenitsu swapped Nezuko's garland for his own since her crown has been replaced by his lol.
