So Peter travels alone in the wide world, protecting people from the strength of a cruel enemy. On his gigantic chest he wears a cross. And under a chain mail shirt he keeps a scarf embroidered by his mother. And it seems that the titan is sad which is why his head is heavy and his figure is downcast. But in the open field Petr Rataj stands up to his full height, clearly looks with his green eyes to the horizon, and longing leaves his body at the sight of the endless forest and the high sky.

And this long awaited album for Witching is one of them. Mixing blackened sludge and doom, Witching offers us a heavy and crushing music that will resonate in your bones through seven all different but all excellent tracks. Starting with a jawbreaking first track with an additional voice, the album will drive you through a variety of different music styles. The second track is

almost slowly a capella, with a witchy doom tone that gives shrills. Then the album goes on by the most ingenious track, the eponym 'Incendium' with a groovy track. The album goes on with a diversity of tones, but keeping its powerful screams and well thought instrumentation, smooth bass, thunder-like drums and unstoppable guitars.

The last song of the album, 'So Young, So Useless' speaks to a whole generation lost in a world that lets them alone and helpless.

Overall, we can remember the howls, the explosion that reaches your ears, and the raging drumming all over the place. The whole band is reaching a new level of extreme after their extremely promissive first album, switching from extreme blackened sludge to sweet pretty sing in ‘From Beneath' or 'Prowling Oblivion'.

This album is a must go for all fans of black metal, sludge, doom and everything that lies in between.

Last night I was in Lahti to see a punch of friends playing at @Maaliskuun Musta Messu - V. Yeah for once I wasn't singing and I just went to see a show. 😊 Line up of the night was @animahereticae, @pressurepointsofficial, @redmoonarchitect, @wheresmybible666, @kauniskuolematon, @andoceans_official. Ossification - Gathered in the Ancient Woodlands (full album, 2023)

Happy day to all you! Do you all want some black metal? Well you’ve come across the right post for it. Today we’re taking a ride to Cincinnati, Ohio to get our fix for some raw black metal. We are talking about Ossification and their new album, “Gathered in the Ancient Woodlands”. Ossification right off the bat are taking cue from any and all usbm counterparts. Instead of following usual Norwegian tropes, Ossification makes their sound as dirty and nasty as possible all the while still having a great production. A nice reminder of Ossuary Wraith. Something right away that caught our eye was the song, ‘The 37th Lesson of Vivic’, which many of us here, and we are sure many of you, are big fans of the Elder Scrolls series and Morrowind in particular. Seeing a reference for a 20 yr old game that deserves its love was a very pleasant surprise. Now let’s get back to the music. Remember our mention of the sound being dirty and nasty? What’s even more amazing of Ossification is that they do in a way makes it melodic. There’s a catchiness there that draws you in and keeps you in. We honestly can’t recommend this enough and are very excited for it to be in your ear holes.
