Frankenstein castle of freaks 1973 a bland horror movie that’s actually better as a movie presented by Elvira’s movie macabre. Rossano Brazzi as count Frankenstein experiments on ook a Neanderthal while another one is lurking around and befriends dwarf ( Micheal Dunn) who got kicked out of Frankenstein’s castle for groping the body of a female corpse. Gordon Mitchell as Igor and also the always great Edmund Purdom as a policeman . This Italian made movie has some good moments, but mostly bland and like I said it’s actually better as an Elvira interrupted movie. Without Elvira this movie would be a total bore. Released as a double bill with Count Draculas great love starring Paul Naschy as the count ( taking a break from playing a werewolf ) with the title castle of freaks I was expecting a castle of Frankenstein’s failed experiments . Monsters ! But all we get is ook the cave man and a Neanderthal man. WTH ? And there’s a scene where someone’s eyes peer out of a painting, something we used to see in those haunted house movies back then.
