Here I stand again, angry at myself, for finally allowing myself to feel something.

noi ci guardiamo,
noi ci diciamo cose oscure,
noi ci amiamo come papavero e memoria,
noi dormiamo come vino nelle conchiglie,

Coronavirus Reflections
Life returning to normal
After a couple years of hell
Couldn’t hang with the locals
All the market started to sell
Isolated from the world
People wearing masks
In fetal position I was curled
Would zoom if someone asked
Learned how to bake a cake
Distracted myself from life
Fantasies of an isolated lake
And a cabin with a wife
Drinking uncontrollably
There’s no good reason to not
Worrying about my family
Will grandma need a plot?
But finally it’s all over
At least it seems to be for now
I’ll keep taking boosters
While reflecting back and wonder how

may that one day we will live
somewhere we won't be afraid
somewhere we won't be surprised
by every little kindness
-
may that one day we will learn
to let hate slide off our backs
to let kindness linger longer
before the warmth fades away
-
you didn't have to hurt me
now I'll be cold forever
how long till I trust again
how long till I love again
-
long after sunset, I light the fire in hope that
by morning, the glowing embers might reach my soul

The Silence and its Companion
Printed on my recently rescued Smith Corona 3600 Personal Word Processor!
Hi Tumblr folks, you get to know more details about the machine than other websites! It's in perfect working condition... except one thing. The floppy disk drive isn't working! I've opened it up and found what was wrong, however! It's just that the belt for the drive is old and loose, so I've pulled it out and ordered a variety of replacement sizes!
Once I've done that all I need is a USB floppy disk drive and I can create, save, and transfer writing digitally from my PWP~ Super excited about that!
I'll be honest, it's kind of nerve-wracking writing on this thing currently because there's no way to save progress without the diskette drive, and thus if the power is interrupted, I lose everything. @_@

Overstimulation
05.09.23
Nowadays they say 'Go, touch grass'
And mean mental ground contact
But I got reminded today of times
When human contact was forbidden
Scary and everyone was discussing science
Back then the only help I found
For my racing mind and heart
Was actual ground contact of forrests
Trees, moss, birds, insects, water droplets
Scale changes and muscle aching
Slow but steady winding up mountains
I still find much peace in it but it feels
Different, less urgent and thus necessary
Is it less necessary? When I feel it present
It is like I was holding my breath and exhale
Suddenly one again with body, mind, earth
And it might sound boring, I guess it is
But that is the whole point in everlasting

A letter to my first love
No matter how many people I go through I still keep going back and comparing them to you because at the end of the day I feel like you’re the only one who’s ever understood me properly; the only person I’ve truly clicked with.
Some might think it’s pathetic because of how much time has passed since you and I were together, but in the back of my mind there’s still a part of me that holds on to the hope that someday we’ll meet again.

Another New Story Is In The World!
In which the author has more news about new stories in the world!
I haven’t been here on the old blog in a while. A lot’s happened since my last post. Mostly, I had some major anxiety that I needed time to work through, and I found myself on the other side of it last week. As I said on Twitter this past week, it was as though I was suddenly looking up at a clear blue sky with soft autumn breezes on my face.
In the interim, I’ve sold a tiny story that is yet to…
