He finds Wesker's knife and is shown to be on the jet with him and Claire, he took it and KEPT it?!?! (never saw anybody talk about this before and I've only just noticed this)
And the fact that he KNEW Wesker was there before he even looked...and them staring at each other like that...
Wesker showing up just in time to see Chris leave...

"No, we're just, uh... Well, we actually just met... Last night?"
All while going back and forth from Sherry to Claire, back to Sherry again only to finish his line facing Claire. Making an awkward little chuckle.
Seeking validation from his statement from Claire. As if he is saying: "Help me. What are we?"
"Friends?" "Acquaintances?"
They don't know much about each other... What they know is that, yes, they flirted... They were worried about each other. But what exactly are they?
Leon ends it with a QUESTION -, "Last night?" at Claire. Asking her to back him up here -, to which she replies with an awkward chuckle and a "Yes"
And they both end up with a:
"That would have been one helluva first date, though"
"Yeah, you have no idea--"
Leon talks as if speaking from his own experience. Probably because that made him think about the KISS he had with someone MID AN APOCALYPSE.
They gave the thought of them being "Boyfriend and Girlfriend" a chance to roam free in their head. Even if just for a second. More importantly, they were not convinced about their own words, but instead, tried to convince Sherry about something they were not sure of.
Afraid of saying anything that might give off the impression of: "I would NEVER date him/her"
They circled too much in a "Yes or No" question. Too many excuses, too many thoughts put into something as simple as just saying: "No"
Their answers were so poorly elaborated, and had so much thought put into them, that they didn't convince Sherry, who followed up the talk with her by asking them to Adopt Her:
While Claire sounds far more surprised and awkward by Sherry's words, Leon laughs and LOOKS AT CLAIRE.
And a FREE CAMERA MOD will show you he is, actually, smiling AT CLAIRE DURING THIS TIME. Not only that, but shouldn't this be the moment they should repeat and say: "Hmm, we are not together, you know?"
Instead, they let Sherry talk about her plans of "living with them", like adopting pets (a dog and a parrot) and learning piano.
And they simply allowed it... Maybe, deep, deep, VERY DEEP DOWN, they were thinking:
You know, as much as we all talk about how bad Racoon City was for Leon and how much that 'Welcome Leon' sign fucks us up, Claire went through a ton as well. Not only was she not trained on how to use more than (probably) a pistol and combat knife or trying to go into any more physical government service job like the police, she probably wasn't trying to be anywhere near any of the areas (biology and genetic stuff) of schooling she was made to learn a bit of on the spot. She most likely wasn't in college of anything like that since she doesn't really make knowledgeable comments on those sort of things.
So she put college on hold to look for her older brother, which is already a bit stressful; then she found herself in the middle of a burning, rotting, zombie infested city with an inexperienced rookie cop; and on top of that she had to take care of and protect a CHILD she found.
I'm not trying to say that either Leon or Claire went through worse things, because that's often up to how the individual handles their trauma afterwards. I'm simply saying that Leon is not the only person who was fucked up at that police station and in the events of RE2. I wish Claire was in more games so that we could see her struggles better and so we could get a more clear picture on her.
Me after beating Leon's 1st run: Wow, I really like this Leon character! I wonder if I'll like playing the alternate character's story as much? Probably not.
Me after beating Claire's 1st run: Leon who? Claire is actually the best protagonist in this game with the far superior storyline and I'll defend her until I'm dead. Also if anything bad happens to her in this franchise past this point, I'll blow up the world.
