Look I don’t normally post anything serious on this acc(because I am here to distract myself and this is valid) but something very alarming and disgusting came across me today
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
GRINGOS who doesn’t know anything about what happened and that took the images out of the context! Saying that “Brazilians deserved to die on the flood because they were making “fun” of god” which btw is simply NOT TRUE!
I will just say facts about Brazil that they probably don’t know and didn’t care to searche before saying all of this xenophobic thing:
This was not a “devil parade” it was part of Carnaval, a party that was introduced to us by Portugal during their colonisation.
Btw Brazil have 170 million Catholics (64% of the country entire population)
Tumblr media
This was a spread fake news that said that the actor who played the devil in the parade in Anhembi suffered a car accident and ended up dying. "No one mocks God," says the publication shared on social networks that brings the lie. The choreographer states that the boy has been suffering threats and that he has even deleted social networks because of the criticism, but that he is fine and that the story of the accident was nothing but a lie!(this link also explain the amazing idea these artist had and how beautiful and meaningful it was)
Plus flood, unhappily is not a strange thing to happen in Brazil, during the summer it is pretty common and the blame is all in our shit politicians who doesn’t actually do nothing to prevent this of happening every beginning of the year.
The actual photos of this beautiful and amazing event:

I just can’t understand how Christians who claim that their god is a god of love and mercy can also say that 457 persons deserved to die and 7,8 million people deserved to be affected by the rains, having to leave their homes permanently or temporarily because they felt their religion was threatened.
⬆️This is not a religion of love…. This is a religion of hate and hypocrisy

“The “unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn.
You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe.
Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.”
Methodist Pastor David Barnhart

“Why is it when I ask a Christian why they oppose same-sex marriage they say ‘because it says so in the bible’, but when I ask that same person why God allows people to own other human beings as slaves I get a twenty minute lecture about the social economics of the day, cultural and societal changes over time, and a breakdown on the nature of the history of language and how the certain meanings of words don't necessarily translate?”
Xians pick and choose their morals because they know their bible is complete and utter bullshit too.

Those so-called “Christians” in the west that endorse the Israeli Diaper Forces’ terrorism will definitely turn a blind eye to Bethlehem, where Jesus himself came from, being forced to cancel its Christmas celebrations because of the Israeli Diaper Forces’ terrorism. It’s clear those so-called “Christians” only care when the Christians in danger are white Americans/Europeans.

Burning of the Library of Alexandria by Caesar is used by Christians to divert attention from the much greater number of books that were lost during the decline of the Roman Empire and rise of Christianity. Then they boast of how much monks copied and preserved, which is like 1% of all ancient literature, which the Christians themselves either destroyed or let to rot in the first place.

ok so let me make sure we’re on the same page
so christians aren’t trying to judge you based on (mostly) uniquely christian beliefs
some of which aren’t even christian beliefs just christians being dicks
but instead they are trying to save you from a uniquely christian problem
and the way they’re doing that is by trying to convert you to christianity
therefore making you part of that uniquely christian problem
which was created by christians who claim their god is loving and all powerful despite willfully putting you in a scenario where because you didn’t follow their rules exactly(including small mishaps) you will be eternally tortured
and they somehow see no issues with that?
seems legit

The traditional GOP “nuclear” family Boebert style consists of a formerly married mother and father, each with mug shots and criminal charges, and at least one child with a mugshots and criminal charges of his own.
Oldest son Tyler Boebert was arrested and faces 22 serious criminal charges, but why was he not charged with attempted mustache?

Christian homophobes are so funny because smoking your whole life with no intent of quitting is fine but being LGBT your whole life with no intent of quitting is a problem. Changing your body by using insulin is fine but using hormones is a problem. A kid with abusive straight parents is fine but loving gay parents are a problem. Like just admit you're a hateful ass and this has no basis in religion.

It’s taken me the better part of 4 decades to realize that when some people say “Christian values”, they mean it differently from me. See, I thought Christian values were “Love thy neighbor,” “do unto others as you would have others do unto you,” “give alms to the poor,” “feed the hungry,” “clothe the naked,” “shelter the homeless,” “treat the sick” but apparently the people who speak the loudest and most adamantly about “Christian values” mean “gays are bad,” “premarital sex is bad,” “anything other than white cishet-centric Middle American mid-20th century traditions is bad,” and a whole bunch of things that I can’t recall Jesus ever saying.

Christians and their churches will raise themselves up as moral authorities who have a clear moral standard to live by and yet when other people, particularly non-Christians and non believers hold them accountable to the doctrine and ideas that Christians are supposed to live by, they throw a fit. Christians are so eager to point out the alleged "wickedness" and "sin" of non-Christians, other denominations and atheists but they can't handle someone pointing the finger back at them.
