Sort of continuation to this for day 8: during washing the dishes Curtis old friend mentions other project she helps with/ the community has. Wifey can't help but notice there's not many projects for kids and doesn't want them to get nothing from santa. So she tells Curtis the idea for a toy drive and organizes it all by herself but when it actually happens she has help from all of Curtis friends and himself ofc. Maybe she makes Curtis dress up as Santa for the kids?

Christmas Countdown Day 8 — help organize/run a toy drive

“He’s got the softest heart despite his, sometimes, cold exterior. He’s really done what he can to give back to the people who helped him get off the streets.” His friend that had been washing dishes with you hd spent the remaining hour of your dedicated time telling you about Curtis’ good willed tasks. She had informed you that there was really no end to his philanthropy, that he had given as much as he could despite his previous wife demanding more of his time than he had.

“She was never one to want to be hands on. She had always avoided the kind of work needed to be put in to help others. His ex-wife had quite the high society mindset that left quite a bad taste in the mouths of others.” The conversation had led you to a late night search of all the things Curtis had been involved in, and by extension had given you the idea to add one more to the list of charitable events.

“A toy drive,” you had let it slip within the next few days when he caught you sneaking a few numbers from his office, “I didn’t want to burden you with another thing, but I just…you inspired me-“

“It’s a perfect idea, sweetheart. But why didn’t you just ask me to help?” Curtis had sequestered you and himself back in the office with the regular tasks handled by his hired help, giving the two of you time to go over your plans and ideas.

“I kind of wanted it to be a surprise, ya know?” You spoke quietly when he had pulled you into his lap and wrapped his arms around your waist. “I wanted to help.”

“God,” Curtis whispered against your neck, smiling into you as he laughed low in his throat, “you are such a darling. You’re beautiful, absolutely stunning.”

“So…you want to help?” You questioned, squirming on his lap. “I wouldn’t turn the help down.”

“This can be our thing, this can be our shared event. You and me-“

“I love it.” you kissed him silent, easing into his hold.

It was planned for two weeks later, the Christmas toy drive that Curtis had helped you plan and set up for kids and families who needed help or couldn��t afford to buy toys. There was no small measure taken to make this event a success, with Curtis volunteering himself to be Santa for the night and the few people you’d met at the soup kitchen helping wrap and organize the toys by age. The fire department and local paramedics had done a food drive and had made bags for families to take at the end of the night if they needed it, adding another generous avenue to help the people in the community.

“It’s all I hoped for,” you confessed to Curtis on the way home, exhausted but grateful, “it went off without a hitch.”

“Next year will be even better.”

(Over) Analyzing Pokemon Hints (8)

Busy week! For announcements and for personal stuff.

Indigo Disk releases tomorrow! In Pokemon Masters EX there were still evee evolution events ending on the 7th, the same day the final Indigo Disk trailer was released. On the Pokemon Masters EX Twitter/X account there was some promo with screenshots of Nate’s new event, which I’m hoping is hinting at what will happen soon. (Because it involves spoilers, I won’t go into it for now).

Viola has just gotten an event. It’s most likely a just because Winter event with Viola. I am wondering if it has anything to do with Perrin, who I’m assuming we’ll be seeing in the DLC. It could also be a hint to Perrin being added soon, but I don’t think that will happen for a while yet. Probably not until we get a few more Hisui character events (like maybe Calaba and Palina?).

Pokemon Cafe Remix will be getting a special event where you can get a Holiday outfit Torterra. Maybe this has to do with the Sinnoh Legendary events in Scarlet and Violet?

Pokemon GO will be getting a Wyrdeer Raid event on December 23rd. I know it’s probably because Wyrdeer is a reindeer, so Chirstmas themed, but I’m still wondering if it’s hinting at something else.

The final episode for Paldean Winds was released today. I didn’t expect it to come on the day right before Indigo Disk comes out.

In my Indigo Disk trailer post I didn’t realize the code for the Mystery Gift Darkrai is “new moon is coming”. ...For some reason that scares me. I’m… I’m sure it’s just because Darkrai’s Mystery Gift Sinnoh events took place on New Moon island, and it’s because there was a new moon, but I feel like this is hinting at something big.

If it is hinting at some sort of connection to the Sinnoh games, something like a follow-up to PLA (whether this is in the DLC, the anime, or hinting something for next year). I’ll be really happy if it does mean something, but this still scares me.

The UK Pokemon Twitter/X account posted a gif of the Sitting Cuties plushie line, two of which were Hisuian Voltorb and Hisuian Electrode.

The UK and US Twitter/X accounts posted a countdown promo for Indigo Disk’s release tomorrow, featuring the Unova starters. I wonder if this is hinting at Unova characters appearing in Indigo Disk or if it’s hinting at Unova remakes next year. It’s most likely just what it is, countdown with Unova Starters, but I still find it interesting they specifically chose the Unova starters for this one.

The Japanese Pokemon Twitter/X account has promoted really cute iPhone SE cases. One is pink with Pikachu and Eevee, and the other is black with Espeon and Umbreon.

Possibly hints to Johto remakes. I just wanted to mention them because they’re really cute.

PokePark Kanto was announced. I don’t know if it’s like a special event or if it’s something more permanent. From what I’ve read on Serebii it seems to be part of an amusement park where you can find wood carvings of Pokemon in their natural habitats. PokePark Kalos and Paldea have also been trademarked, but it’s unknown if they’re placeholders or will be happening. I’m wondering if these parks will be appearing in their real world equivalents.

I don't plan on posting a review or anything for Indigo Disk. I'm going to try to avoid the internet as much as possible so I don't see spoilers, because Youtube really likes recommending them, lol.

Jullian Devorack x Aprentinace!Reader

Julian paced the floor of his practice. He was anxious all of a sudden, nothing was sticking and time was getting thin. He needed to make this right. A knock pulled him from his trance and his feet drug him to the door. He swung it open and a mop of white hair slipped in under his arms.

“Hello to you Ilya, how are you today? Here is some sage for what you needed and- Julian!”

The auburn-haired doctor jumped.

“I’m sorry Asra, thank you.Yes.”

Asra handed over the pouch of sage to the doctor and looked at him hard. Asra was concerned. They hopped up on Jullian’s desk and crossed their legs. Jullian replaced a jar and kept up his busy work. Asra checked their nails and watched their friend frantically work around his shop.

“So are you going to explain to me what’s wrong or am I going to avoid my responsibilities forever and wait for you to tell me?” Asra inquired.

“You avoid your responsibilities anyway, (y/n) basically runs you guys shop.” Julian snapped, “I’m sorry.”

Julian’s face was flushed as he collapsed into himself. He felt like something was odd. He sighed to himself and looked at Asra utterly defeated and Asra wanted to understand why he looked so upset.

“Ilya, you can talk to me.” Asra edged.

“It’s just, winter is upon us here and there is just a feeling around and I feel it. Tell me, how it (y/n)?”

Asra smiled to themself.

“Tis the season for sharing feelings, I guess?” Asra waved off.

Julian looked at them with a slight glare to his gaze. Julian was thrown off by what Asra commented.

“Excuse me?” Julian asked, eyebrow arched.

Asra winked and hopped down. He waved his hand and made a slight twinkle happen in his eye. Julian glared at the back of his head on his way out. He never answered how (y/n) was and that simply won’t do.

“I’m head practicer I’m going see how my favorite magician is doing, darn it.” Julian huffed whipping off his jacket and leaving.

Julian walked a few shops down to the shop. He knocked, announcing his presence and walking in. There was a bang and Julian rushed to where the bang was. There you were sitting trying to clean up vials that you knocked over in fright.

“Oh Julian, I should have known, hello, may I help you? Did Asra actually bring you the sage?” you asked.

“Yes, he did. Thank you. I needed to cleanse the, you know.” Julian referenced.

You looked up at Julian who was on his knees with you cleaning up. Your hands lightly brushed and his cheeks ignited. You looked at him confused.

“How are you?” Julian asked.

“Oh I’m grand, things are kind of crazy with the holidays and people coming in and out trying to make sure they are well enough,” you responded.

“Yeah, yeah. I understand.”

“Well bye, Julian.” You waved getting up.

Julian got up and nodded and walked with you to the front of the store. The store was festively for the holidays coming up. There were holly leaves and ivy around. The garland was snow-covered and there was a charm to keep everything smelling like cinnamon and twinkling lights.

“I’ll have to get you to come to help me decorate my clinic.”

“I would love to come to help you Julian!” you beamed.

Julian was taken aback by how excited you seemed to get. He found himself smiling with you.

“You’re cute..” he muttered.

“I’m sorry?” you asked not paying complete attention.

“I mean, I’ll see you soon.”

And Julian rushed out. You quickly waved and dropped down under the counter.

“He called me cute,” you whispered to yourself.

Julian felt his heels clicking as he walked down to his clinic. Running through what he said. He called her cute. Instead of going to the clinic, he just went to see Portia, maybe she had a solution.

Fran: Oh hello there.

Reporter: We are going around asking about feelings on Christmas and traditions you may be excited for this year. Forgive me, but you stood out as the only Viera here, so we wanted to talk to you before the night was over.

Fran: Makes sense. You want to gather opinions from different cultures and races. Those of us who may not believe in, or celebrate such a holiday.

Reporter: That's exactly right! So, are you looking forward to any celebrations?

Fran: But, of course I am. I live with the humes now. Balthier celebrates this holiday, so I will oblige.

Reporter: No one is making you take up this holiday as your own. What makes you go to the extent you do, to fit in, regarding this holiday and the celebration of it?

Fran: It's not a matter of "fitting in", as you would have it, but of duty to my surroundings. If I am to live with humes, I am to forsake my former self. This isn't about forcing myself to celebrate. Quite the opposite. This is who I am now. I chose to leave behind all previous notions of opposition to such a celebration, I chose to start over and be free.

Reporter: *In slight aww* That was...very powerful.

Fran: It is only me. *turns head with a bit of attitude, then walks away.

Today's lesson: Christmas always has it's accepting, loving and forgiving arms open to even those who have scorned it's very existence. No matter your past, and no matter your previous ideals, you can fully experience the joy of Christmas with acceptance in yourself. The Lord and the spirit of Christmas doesn't discriminate and will accept you into it's loving embrace, so long as you have confidence in yourself.

Day 4: Black Ice-Lucien

“Don’t worry about the weather/ Baby don’t leave me”- Baby don’t leave me (All alone on Christmas), Echosmith

“Lucien, this isn’t funny.” you pouted as you sat in the doctor’s chair, watching as you boyfriend stood in the doorway, one hand covering his mouth as he hid his smile, but his eyes were clearly full of mirth.

“You’re right, Princess. It’s not.” Lucien continued to smile, as he made his way over to you, arms outstretched.

You pouted further and turned your head in defiance, not letting Lucien sweet-talk you out of your anger, but unfortunately, the movement put pressure on your leg, causing your face to twinge in discomfort.

“Are you in pain?” Lucien tone lost humour, and as he gently turned your head back to him, his eyes showed nothing but concern.

You slumped against Lucien, as you waited for the doctor to return with your prescription, keeping the weight off your leg, as Lucien rubbed your shoulder comfortingly. You turned and wrapped your arms loosely around his mid-section, sighing heavily as you looked down at your leg cast. The soft click of the door, pulling you out of your musings as you lifted your head to attention. You nodded along as the doctor ran through your x-rays and told you that you’d have to stay off your foot for the next 6 weeks. With a tired smile on your face you thanked the doctor, and shuffled yourself over to the edge of the doctor’s chair, putting all your weight on your good foot, the nurses passed the crutches to you and you slowly and uneasily hopped out of the hospital. Lucien remained a quiet, constant presence behind you and you furrowed your brow with the effort you put in to hop on the crutches.

As you left the hospital the chilly winter air hit you like a wall, and you wobbled momentarily on your crutches, Lucien’s hand hovering just below your elbow in case you needed steadying. You threw him a tight smile over your shoulder, before breathing out, rolling your shoulders, and then placing the crutches in front of you to make your way across the car park. Luckily for you, Lucien had parked close to the entrance of the hospital, so you didn’t have to hobble far. After opening the door for you, and then placing the crutches in the backseat, Lucien shut the door with you safely inside and then made his way to the driver’s seat, where he began the drive back to your shared apartment.

Clambering out of the car awkwardly you took the crutches from Lucien gratefully and made your way over to the apartment. Then in a sick twist of fate, the crutches landed on a patch of black ice, and you lost all stability, the momentum was too much for your good foot to handle and you felt that dizzying feeling of falling backwards, you shut your eyes, waiting for impact. With a dull thud you found yourself safely nestled in Lucien’s embrace. Your eyes fluttered open and your eyes locked with his, tears pricking at the corners of yours. Lucien without skipping a beat, swung you into a bridal carry, bending his knees so he can also pick up the crutches from the floor. He bounced you lightly to check you were stable, and then walked into the apartment building. Once safely enclosed in the lift, you started to sniff, ashamed at your own incompetence.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Lucien kept his voice soft and stable.

“I broke my ankle, walking, and then nearly slipped on the same thing again.” you spat bitterly,continued to sniff.

Lucien’s deep chuckles stopped your self-loathing, your head snapped up to see his eyes filled with mirth, “Dummy, do you know how many people are injured by black ice every year? It’s fine, I’m just glad your injury is what it is, it could have been a lot worse.” He finished his speech with a soft kiss on your forehead just as the lift beeped to signify you had reached your floor.

Once inside the apartment, Lucien placed your carefully on the sofa, helping you out of your outerwear, and propped your foot up on the coffee table on top of a couple of throw pillows. You giggled as Lucien hovered over you like a mother hen, before disappearing into the kitchen. He then returned with two cups of hot tea, passing one to you, he took off his outerwear and then sat down beside you. You leaned your head against his shoulder and Lucien locked eyes with you, the two of you sharing soft smiles at each other.

“I’m glad you’re smiling again; I can’t watch you cry.” Lucien pinched your nose playfully, causing another bout of giggles to bubble from your throat.

“Hard not to as I watch you look after me.” You beamed up at him.

“I’ll always be here to look after you,” Lucien punctuated his promise with a firm kiss to your lips before finishing his statement, “no matter how silly your injury may be.”

We had a Christmas exchange party, We got a fruit bouquet,

Ah, yesterday I was in high spirits,

Since Santa-san hasn’t come for many years now, there isn’t any excitement going on

In fact, when asked, what do you want~?

Unexpectedly I’m sufficient, I normally properly have what I need (lol)

Things that I don’t have enough of are,

Time,

A stomach that doesn’t get fat no matter what I eat, I want wisdom, I want skill with technology,

Those things…

Those aren’t just things I can ask others for, it’d be outspoken for it to come out! I can’t, I can’t do that! Lol

But now, I really want time~!

For 1 day to not be 24 hours, it could be about 30 hours! I think about that regularly

1 performance would be extended by about 45 minutes!
