-Cedric Diggory x female reader-
18 and up only
Warnings: Unprotected sex, creampie, riding, thigh riding, semi public sex, praise, Ceddy fucks you while wearing a suit, literally so many pet names, some errors
(I feel like this sucks sorry)
Word count: 1781
Summary: After seeing your boyfriend wearing a suit for the first time, you can’t help but wonder what it would be like if he fucked you in it
It was a few days before the Yule Ball and all of the Tri-wizard champions and their dates had to dress up and take photos for promotion of the tournament and the ball. You sat on a sofa chair, legs crossed as the rest of the champions and their dates were in the next room, preparing for the photographers
Tired of waiting for Cedric, you uncrossed your legs and stood up, heels clicking on the floor as you walked towards the door. But before you could get through, you ran into something large and tall that blocked your exit.
“Hello darling.”
Cedric's grinning face peered down at you, reaching an arm behind him to shut the door.
You took a step back to get a full view of him.
Your eyes looked at his shined dress shoes and the creases that were sharp in the pant legs of his slacks. Underneath his suit jacket he had a white collared shirt and a black silk tie that fit around his neck.
You had always found suits attractive, but seeing Cedric in one? You were done for. You couldn't help the idea of him fucking you in that suit consume your thoughts.
“You look ravishing,” he said smoothly, his hand going down to brush away some of the hair that framed your face in your updo.
“And you look absolutely handsome,” you breathed out a reply.
He chuckled and stepped towards you a bit more, his well built frame towering over you as he rested his hand on the curve of your waist and the other on your hip, his thumb brushing over the silky silver fabric that hugged your body and cascaded down your legs and to your ankles.
“So beautiful,” Cedric murmured, pulling you closer as you rested your hands on his chest, fingers grazing over the black tie that was tucked neatly into his suit.
“Are the photographers ready?” You asked, looking up at him and biting your lower lip slightly,
“Not for quite some bit,” he said, releasing you to sit on the nearby couch, spreading his legs and leaning back, his hands folded as he looked at you.
You swallowed, thinking about how his position made his cock perfectly accessible to you.
“C’mre,” he jerked his chin up in your direction, signaling you to come over to him, his gaze never leaving yours.
You looked down uncomfortably and hesitated. The closer you were to him, the throbbing in your pussy got worse and you felt more and more need to for him to fuck you then and there.
You slowly walked over to him, standing in front of him before he took your hand.
“Sit on my lap love,” Cedric said, pulling you down onto his knee so you sat on his strong thigh.
Shit.
This was even worse.
Cedric's brow furrowed slightly and he looked at you, placing his hand on your cheek.
“What's wrong baby?” he asked in slight worry, noticing how flushed and hesitant you were. “Is something wrong?”
You shook your head quickly.
“Nothings wrong,” you said, your thumbs running down the edge of the lapels on the front of his suit before stopping to lightly grip the material in your thumbs.
He took your chin in his forefinger and thumb so you would look at him. His pretty blue eyes bore into yours and he smiled softly.
“You know I can always tell when somethings up. You cant hide anything from your boyfriend,” he mused, a playful glint in his eye.
“Well, its just…” you mumbled, shifting in his lap, making his thigh rub against your soaked panties for a brief second, causing you to inhale.
“Its just….?” Cedric prompted you to continue, never looking away from you.
“Seeing you in a suit is just…”
“Just…?”
“Making me feel things,” you muttered under your breath hastily, almost not wanting him to hear.
He cocked his head to the side and raised his eyebrows.
“What things?”
You felt embarrassed, not knowing how to explain how you felt, and not knowing how he would react if you told him.
“Y/n,” Cedric said, forcing you to look at him again.
You sighed and closed your eyes for a moment.
“It makes me really horny,” you admitted.
Cedrics face changed into a look of surprise before his eyes darkened with lust and and smiled.
“Is that so? Seeing me in a suit gets my pretty girl all turned on?” He whispered, running his thumb over your jawline.
You nodded.
Cedric could already feel his pants tighten.
“You would love it if I fucked you in this suit huh darling?” Cedric said softly in your ear, his lips brushing over your earlobe as you shivered.
“F-fuck, please Ced,” you whined, tugging at his tie.
He tsked and grinned, placing his hands on your hips possessively, encouraging you to grind on him.
“I’m not gonna give it to you that easily, you're going to have to earn it,” Cedric murmured sensually.
You whimpered in frustration and buried your face in his neck, slowly grinding your hips against his thigh, moaning softly in his ear as your throbbing clit got some sense of relief.
He bit his lower lip, enjoying the sight as he nodded in approval.
“That’s a good girl,” he praised, gently forcing your face up to look at him.
He pressed his lips onto you fervently, capturing you into a breathless and heated kiss.
You kept rocking your hips rhythmically, seeking more friction as you slid your hands over his chest.
He groaned and kept his grip on your hips, tensing his thigh to give you more pressure on your clit and causing you to whine into his mouth. You could feel yourself getting closer and closer and he knew it.
“Stand up princess,” Cedric suddenly ordered, forcing your hips to stop it’s movements.
You blinked in surprise and looked at him.
“B-but I’m close,” You whined, giving him a pout.
“I know.”
You looked at him for a moment before reluctantly standing up and he reached up under your dress to grab your lacy panties. You felt the rip of the fabric and he had your wet panties in his hand.
“Cedric!” you gasped.
All he did in response was smirk and shove your ruined panties into his pocket.
“Don’t worry sweetheart, just saving it for later,” Cedric chided, his eyes glinting as he stared at you.
He then went to unbuckle his belt and your gaze instantly dropped to his pretty hands, about to free the cock you were so hungry for.
You heard the clink of his belt being undone and the distinct zip of his dress pants before he tugged down his dark grey boxers just enough for his fully erect and large cock to spring out. You almost moaned aloud, staring at his pretty length with a bead of precum glistening from his pink tip.
He then pulled you down by your waist and slammed his hips upwards into your dripping pussy.
“Ah!” you exclaimed, your hands flying to steady yourself on his broad shoulders.
He was entirely sheathed inside of you and you could feel every inch of him.
“Gonna ride me like a good girl?” Cedric growled, his hands holding your hips tightly as you were seated on his lap.
You whimpered softly and nodded.
“Here, I’ll guide you,” he purred, moving your hips back and fourth, making you both gasp in pleasure.
With his help you got the hang of it and started rolling your hips, sweet pleasured moans leaving your lips as you held onto his shoulders desperately.
“Oh, f-fuck, you’re so tight darling, you feel so good,” Cedric grunted out, starting to buck his hips upwards to match your movements.
You almost screamed, the pleasure increasing as you started to go faster, practically bouncing on his thick cock.
“That’s a good girl, riding my cock like a pro,” Cedric groaned thrusting his hips faster and harder, making you almost fall off. You clawed at his tie and shirt. Not taking your eyes off him as you felt euphoric and cock drunk, hardly believing how handsome he looked in that suit, and not being able to believe he was actually fucking you in it.
“Oh Ced, so- so big, a-ah!” you babbled, feeling yourself start to become incoherent.
The only thing you could hear was gasps and the sound of your two bodies moving on the velvet couch rapidly.
“So close love, gonna cum,” Cedric told you through gritted teeth, his jaw clenching as he slammed his cock up into you over and over.
So were you, but you couldn’t even speak, his tip hitting your g-spot with every thrust.
“Is this what you wanted? To make a mess on my new suit baby? Hm? While everyone else is just outside?”
Cedric looked primal, staring at your tits spilling out of your tight dress and bouncing up and down with each movement, and his hands gripping your hips harder than ever.
“Gonna, g-gonna! Cedric! O-oh Cedric please!” you cried out, your walls clenching around his cock as you came,
“That’s it angel, that’s it,” Cedric whispered in your ear as his breathy moans tumbled from his lips and his muscles tensed.
You collapsed in his arms and then you felt his warm cum shooting out and filling you up, covering your folds with his seed. His movements ceased and left you both panting and trying to catch your breaths.
He remained inside of you while he ran his hands up and down your back, your body limp against him.
“Are you happy now love?” He asked tenderly, a smile painted on his lips.
“Very,” was your response.
After a moment he slid himself out of you and buckled his belt up once more. He smoothed out his suit and helped you stand up, holding your waist tightly as you stood on shaky legs.
“We should get going,” Cedric said, about to pull you to the door.
The doorknob then turned and both of you looked to see the door swing open and Viktor Krum appeared in the doorframe.
“Er, everyone is ready for ze photographs, I vos sent to find you,” Viktor said awkwardly in his thick Bulgarian accent, eyeing both of your slightly disheveled states.
“Right, thank you Krum,” Cedric said friendly, giving Viktor a smile. Viktor nodded and walked out.
“Let’s be off darling,” Cedric whispered in your ear, grabbing your hand and following after the other champion.
You could still feel Cedric’s warm seed drip from your folds onto your thigh, and you knew you’d feel that for the rest of the evening.

you sigh as you take a seat on the bench, family long discarded in favour of resting your aching body from the shopping and sight-seeing you've been doing for the past 5 hours and reading a book instead. you fail to notice the boy taking a seat at the exact same time as you and so you startle when he chuckles and asks "long day?"
"sadly," you groan and stretch your neck to the side, closing over your novel "you in the same predicament?"
"sadly," he huffs and ruffles his hair as he leans back, legs spreading slightly in the process "where abouts are you from?" he asks shortly after.
"live in central london," you turn to properly look at him "what about you?"
"near devon, england." he seems to be around your age, brown hair mixed with golden highlights that seemed too soft and fluffy to be dyed. his face was certainly something to admire, high cheekbones dusted with pink and freckles that accompanied them, lips wide and full and jawline sharp in its edges. his eyes are a mix of hazel and green with specks of gold similar to the ones in his hair, once you notice you've been looking for a bit too long you clear your throat and look to the side.
.
"how long are you staying here for?" the boy asks you, head tilted to the side as he scans you, your face seemed familiar but he wasn't sure where he recognised you from.
"i think two more days," you ponder "i'm not sure, i'm just tagging along with my family." you shrug and he smiles in return.
"same here, though i think we're staying for the week." you nod and he follows it with "how have you liked it so far then?"
"it's been pretty alright actually," you respond with a grin "i mean apart from the heckling of being with family and having siblings, the sights here are so pretty and the food is delicious."
the brunet agrees with you, the same amiable smile decorating his lips "it is quite beautiful here, though i don't have any siblings to put a dimmer on my experience."
"oh lucky you," you sigh "i wish i was an only child."
the boy laughs as he shakes his head "i often wished i had a sibling to play with."
you glance at him with a cheeky look "want to trade?"
"i'm afraid i'm too used to being an only child." he shrugs and you pout.
"bummer, i could've been having the time of my life had you agreed." you shut your eyes as you allow the sunlight to bathe you in its rays, peeking an eye open after a few seconds, you focus it on the boy beside you "you sure?"
"you didn't exactly sell it out to be the greatest thing," he pauses and hums "might need some convincing."
you tap your fingers against your thighs as you ponder "well for starters, i guess they're somewhat cute—" you're cut off by a yell of your name. the two of you turn to see a 6 year old running towards you with a cup full of fruits.
"mama said you have to come back, we're going to another place." the child rushes through her words and almost chokes on a pineapple during the relay of her message and you send the boy next to you a look which caused him to chuckle.
"slow down, you're going to choke." you pat her back gently and shake your head as you stand up, sending her away as your bags go back in your hands and your book is put away.
"well, it was nice chat," you smile at the guy still sitting "i'll work on the pro's for the next time if i see you around."
"i look forward to it, farewell, my chatting companion." he waves and you try to mimic him with a tiny wave of your own as you follow behind your sister.
it's a shame you met the handsome stranger in a foreign country and not back at home. alas, it was probably worse that he was most likely a muggle who you could not communicate with. a bummer how all the good ones you're destined to only meet once you think to yourself.
Tumblr media
the bustling of the students feels familiar as you take your seat beside your friends in the great hall.
"how was your holiday?" asks emma from your side, nudging you with her elbow the second dumbledore announced that the feast shall commence.
"emma, had you not slept the whole ride from kings cross to here, you would've known."
your other friend, ben, interrupts as he places a hand on his chest and haughtily stares down at emma "since i was actually awake to converse with my friend like normal people do, i had the opportunity to hear about [name]'s first crush on this british boy she met on holiday."
emma ignores bens attitude as she turns to you with her mouth open, a gasp escaping her lips "no. way." she whispers and you roll your eyes.
"it's not a crush, ben just wants to mess with you." you retort at her wide eyes and disbelieving expression.
"come now, [name], it's not everyday you compliment a boys look to us, he must've really swooned you." ben teases and you sigh.
"you make it seem like i've never complimented anyone." you deadpan and your friends scoff.
"fine, i'll never tell you anything again." you mutter in spite and ben and emma hurriedly attempt to placate you throughout the rest of dinner as they try to coerce you to spill about the handsome stranger who caught your attention and affection.
towards the end of dinner when conversations take over and everyone is only lightly taking bites of their desserts, ben finds his eyes drifting behind you before his expression changes into one of curiosity "say," he interrupts you and emma, you two turn to him with an unimpressed look "does anyone know why the diggory boy keeps looking back here every now and then?" he gives you a look "any of you associated with him?"
emma wistfully sighs as she places her head on her closed fist "i wish, i'd totally get with him if he wanted." you give her a look and clear your throat.
"umm, who's diggory?"
the two sigh "cedric diggory? the captain of the hufflepuff quidditch team?..." ben asks as if that'll help you and you turn to emma "he's blondish, tall, absolutely dreamy?" she quips and you hum.
"he sounds like the perfect package, how come i don't know about him?" you ask and they shrug.
"merlin knows how in your world you are, as a slytherin, it will do you good to build connections." ben adds and emma taps your shoulder to get you to turn around and show you who exactly cedric is. as you turn your head however, you catch the eye of a certain quidditch captain, you're met with the sight of the boy from your holiday and your breathe hitches as he stands and makes his way over.
"okay, now why is he coming here?" ben asks once more and emma shrugs as she watches the two of you stare at each other.
"it's you." you both utter at the same time and his face breaks out into a smile that you can't help but reciprocate.
"i thought i'd never see you again." the boy scratches the back of his neck as his cheeks colour a rosy hue.
"and i you." you nod in reciprocation.
"well since luck seems to have found me, i think i have to take full advantage of it and ask you on a date." you hear one of your friends choke but you choose to ignore them and put up a front of a thinking face as cedric waits for your answer "i just have to find out what the pros are."
you sigh as you cross your arms "i did try to come up with an extensive list..." you look up at the boy and nod "fine, i'll free a day and make a compelling case for you."
you did not think cedrics grin could widen anymore and yet you stand (sit) corrected as his teeth show "i look forward to it!" he waves you goodbye as he heads back to his table and rejoins his friends.
"turns out this priss not only knows diggory but managed to bag a date with him."
"prick."
"dear merlin, why don't i have their luck?"

treat you better - cedric diggory x fem!reader (part 4: the finale)
read first: part 1, 2, 3 summary: all is well in love and friendship wc: 1.4k follow @lovebirdupdates to join my "taglist"
Tumblr media
a/n: dear reader, thank you so much for following this series - i never imagined you would like it so much. i hope you enjoy this final fic, and please do reblog if yes! i’m sad to leave ceddie and harry, but i like how i've ended it :)
The morning after Cedric’s surprise party, you’re woken up by the soft sunlight streaming in through the huge windows of the Hufflepuff common room. Lifting your head up, you hear Cedric grumble, arms tightening around you. The scene feels so cozy that you don’t want to return to reality - but there’s a Herbology midterm coming up, and you’ve never been a natural at the subject, unlike a certain Hufflepuff. And so, you begin extricating yourself from Cedric’s embrace, which is no easy feat.
“How’s it feel to be seventeen, Ceddie?”
You get a groan in response.
“Alright, alright, then you stay put, but I’ve got to go study. I’m not a genius like you,” you tease, squirming in your efforts to slide out of his grasp.
“‘M not a genius, Y/N/N. You help me all the time. Don’t go, I know you’re ready for it, you don’t need anymore studying,” comes a sleepy protest.
“Mm… thank you for your confidence, but I assure you I am not in the least prepared. And what is all this bad advice coming from a prefect,” you raise an eyebrow, before finally slipping out of Cedric’s arms, and standing up immediately to avoid being pulled back in.
You feel the loss of Cedric’s warmth around your shoulders, and it weakens your resolve far more than it should, so you figure you need to leave as soon as possible, before grey eyes melt you into a puddle and back into his chest.
“Oh, fine. Leave me right after spending the night,” Cedric jokes, fully awake at last. He chuckles at the flush on your cheeks from this statement, and dodges your hit to his arm. “Just kidding, darling. Thank you for the party. Now go do what you have to do, I know you’re a busy girl.”
You smile softly, before tiptoeing up to ruffle his hair, and turn to leave. The gray eyes don’t leave you until you’re fully out of sight.
******
Climbing through the portrait hole, you see Ron and Harry sitting on the carpeted floor in front of the hearth, playing Wizard’s Chess, and Hermione engrossed in a book on the nearby couch. The scene is so familiar and comforting that it brings an involuntary smile to your face, before you wipe it off, the fight replaying in your head.
Ron is the first to see you, freezing mid-check, and gives a weak wave. Harry turns, and so does Hermione, with the former also stiffing up, and the latter offering a sweet smile. Hermione then looks back, and, finding the two boys silent, rolls her eyes, and jerks her head in your direction, glaring at them.
Spurned, Ron and Harry stand up, and walk over, looking so dejected that you almost feel sorry for them.
“Y/N - it’s nice to see you again,” Ron begins, his expression sheepish. Harry nods to echo the sentiment.
“We just wanted to apologize for that night. For the mean things we said. None of it was true, and it was of no fault on your end,” Ron confesses.
Your eyes soften, and give him a pat on the shoulder, “thanks Ronnie. And I expect you’ve said the same to ‘Mione?” giving him a pointed look, to which he nods fervently. At this, you offer a smile at last, and seeing this, Ron seems to realize he’s forgiven.
“I’ll give you two some space then,” he says, guiding Hermione away, and leaving Harry alone with you in the Gryffindor Common Room.
Harry gestures for you to sit, and the two of you settle in on the carpet.
“Y/N/N - I’m really, honestly sorry. I had no right to say what I said, and I’ve felt horrid about it every day since then. I know you’ll always have my back, and some Yule Ball date would never change that. I hope you’ll forgive me,” the black haired boy finally blurts, the words spilling out of him.
Your resolve crumbles. I mean, this is Harry. One of your best friends. You could never stay mad at him, no matter how much he messes up. It’s like he said: you have each other’s backs. So you lean forward and hug him, breathing in the smell of broom polish and treacle toffee that you had missed incredibly, feeling the boy physically relax into your touch.
“You really like him, don’t you?” Harry chimes, as you pull out of the hug.
“Yes, I do. And I hope you’re okay with that,” you share, crimson spilling onto your cheeks.
Harry nods, a grin spreading across his face, “I am, really. I know I acted in jealousy at the ball, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually felt romantically towards you - not that you’re unlikeable, you know, just -”
You laugh out loud, cutting him off, and offer a nod, “I get it, don’t stress yourself out, mate.”
He nods in relief, “you’re my best friend, Y/N/N, and that’s it. I love our relationship, and I do not want it to ever change.”
You nod, feeling better than you have in nearly a month.
Ron and Hermione choose that exact moment to enter the room, the guilt of eavesdropping written on their faces. But you’re far too happy to care - the gang’s back together.
******
Over the next month, life returns to normal, or rather, a new normal. Hermione is hanging out with Krum as much as possible, to make the most of their time together before the tournament ends and he returns to Durmstrang. You don’t see her nearly as much anymore, but it’s understandable.
Instead, you spend your days either studying out on the greens with Harry and Ron, or hanging out with Cedric, going to Hogsmeade’s various little cafes.
The second tournament task comes along, and you, Hermione, and Ron are pulled into the headmaster’s office then sent to the bottom of the Black Lake. When you awake, Cedric is treading water to keep the two of you above the lake, and you’re quickly pulled out and given a warm towel. Since Cedric finished first, the two of you rest in the champion seating section, and the boy keeps asking you if you’re okay, despite your fervent exclamations that you’re probably doing better than he is.
His friends soon surround him, arriving with endless teasing about how you’re the person “he’ll sorely miss,” and Cedric flushes scarlet at their words, refusing to meet your eyes. Eventually, he manages to shove them all away, and looks down to see you grinning.
“Ced, just so you know, I would’ve sorely missed you too,” you admit, before pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
Suddenly, Cedric could care less about his friends. He feels warm and dry and cozy, not a trace of the Black Lake’s eeriness on his mind.
******
A few weeks later, and it’s your birthday. Cedric had wracked his brain for ways to top your surprise party for him, and enlisted the help of the trio to do so. Hermione contributed all your likes and dislikes: she knew you like the back of her hand; Ron got Fred and George to put together a little sparkler show for you, and Harry was in charge of inviting all your closest friends.
The day of, you wake up to Cedric’s voice, before he gives you five minutes to pick an outfit, then promptly blindfolds you and leads you out to the courtyard, where the cutest picnic party had been set up. You laugh in delight, ecstatic, and after a quick kiss for Ced, rush over to meet up with your friends.
As you catch up over drinks with them, two boys, one Gryffindor, one Hufflepuff, are standing a distance away, both looking at you with slight smiles.
Soon, the sky is darkening and the party growing more and more uproarious. You spin around to see Harry and Cedric talking, and grin. Strolling over, you place an arm around each. Cedric kisses your hair, and you give Harry a tight hug.
“Thank you for all of this,” you say, “seriously. I’ve never been happier.”
Before they can reply: you were never one for cheesy emotions, you (forcibly) pull them toward the karaoke machine, where Ron and Hermione are singing their hearts out.

changing room shenanigans

Cedric Diggory x fem!hufflepuff!reader (1.8k words) take this blurb. i haven’t written in awhile, too. Especially smut. but God forbid I starve, because I'm surviving off crumbs at this point. So-- i'm making my own food! :3 the fic is posted here, but you can also show some support on ao3. <33 https://archiveofourown.org/works/55057882
Warnings: smut, bjs
Summary: Eagerly, you watch Cedric during his quidditch practice, and even more so to finish. Getting a little impatient, you decide to follow him to the quidditch locker rooms.
or
Soft dom Cedric tries out being a hard(ish) dom.
You yawned as you stretched your stiff arms to get some movement in after a long night’s sleep, and your eyes still quite droopy. Eventually, you got yourself up and groggily got dressed in your uniform. As much as you’d like to stay in on such a fine Saturday morning, you didn’t wake up at the crack of dawn for nothing. Of course, being the supportive girlfriend you are, you promised Cedric you’d watch him during practice this weekend. You wouldn’t miss it for the world. Heading out of your dormitory, you decide to hang around in the common room. Cozying yourself up on one of the couches, you wait for Cedric. You see some of his teammates leaving for practice already, greeting you as they pass by. After a few minutes, you finally spot him already dressed up in his quidditch attire, broomstick in one hand and offering his other to yours. You gladly take it. “G’morning, love,” he says in a low tone, almost whispering. He yawns as he talks to you, pressing a soft kiss to your temple. “Morning,” you mumble in response.
“Sorry you had to get up so early.” He said sincerely.
“S’fine, really,” you assure him.
You two started to make your way to the quidditch pitch. The journey was mostly silent, though being interrupted with an occasional yawn. It wasn’t an awkward kind of quiet, though– it was a comfortable kind, something you could bask in.
Words didn’t need to be said right now to express any emotion. Sometimes it was silence that spoke the loudest.
Upon arriving, you rush up to get on one of the tall, empty stands. The team quickly gets to work, wasting no time in practicing.
Time passed by slowly, but it wasn’t necessarily boring. Though you wouldn’t admit the fact that you liked seeing your boyfriend progressively get all sweaty and dirtied up from it a bit too much.
As much as you liked watching practice, more specifically Cedric, you would like it even more to end.
After what felt like a while, or long enough, it finally came to an awaited end. It must’ve roughly eleven o’clock by then.
You hurriedly get downstairs and meet him on the quidditch pitch, watching him as he slowly descends then dismounting his broom and as his teammates do the same. Whilst the others head straight for the locker rooms, he runs up to you and gives a warm smile.
“Hey.. I’m a mess, aren’t I?” He chuckles, seemingly amused at himself. He keeps a distance yet still remaining close enough, not wanting you to get dirty. “I don’t mind, really,” you say as you peck his cheek. “You look good. You did great back there, by the way. Surely we’re going to win the cup this year.”
He feels a blush forming on his cheeks at your comments. “Thanks.” A brief pause before he speaks again, “I’ll be on my way to the locker rooms to take a shower. Just wait for me, okay, love? I’ll be quick.”
He’s gone off before you even get to speak.
A few minutes go by, and you start to get impatient. You know you weren’t supposed to, but you did it anyway. You snuck in the locker rooms. By that time, it seems that the rest of Cedric’s team had been gone by then.
You look for the changing rooms, and by some miracle you walk in on just the right time. The only occupied stall’s door flung open, only to reveal Cedric walking out with his trousers on and is in the middle of putting on his blouse— but you were able to get a peek of what was underneath. He looked fresh from the shower, too, with his hair all wet.
If this is what you get to see after every game, you might just sign up for the quidditch team at this point.
You admired the few moments you had when he was shirtless, how the droplets of water ran down his toned body. It was as if he were carved from marble. He takes notice of you, his face flushing at the unexpected visit. He was putting on his golden striped black tie at this point.
“Hi,” was the first thing he said. “Hi,” you reply back, the two of you grin at each other during the awkward exchange.
“Why’re you here?” He stammered, still a bit surprised. It wasn’t that you haven’t seen him getting dressed before, no, you have plenty of times. It was just completely unpredictable of you to barge in like this.
Feeling a bit mischievous, you don’t answer his question and push him back into the changing room, joining in as well. It was obvious that it was definitely fit for only one person.
The air in the room shifted quickly to something hot and heavy, filled with enough tension so thick you could probably use a knife to cut it. Cedric didn’t waste a minute, crashing his lips against yours. He slithers his hands onto your waist, pulling you closer so that you feel yourself press up against one another.
You didn’t think it’d escalate anything beyond a make-out session. Oh, you were so wrong.
Your breaths became shallow, too caught up in the moment to think of anything else. Taking you aback, he suddenly, but gently pushes you down so that you sink onto your knees. Before doing anything else though, Cedric makes sure that you’re okay with this.
Too worked up already, his hand tightly grasps your hair as he shoves your face onto his pants, which does a very poor job of hiding his hard on. “Ced–” you try to speak, but before you could say anything he’s already unzipped his pants and is currently shushing you up with his cock.
“Shhh, just take it.”
Compliantly, you let him take the initiative of the situation. He wasn’t touching you– or more specifically touching you in a sense to please you. Right now, he was trying to get himself off. Using you. Which you found incredibly hot.
It definitely is way out of what Cedric is used to, since making you feel good is always his top priority. It wasn’t until a couple of days ago you had a talk about this, you encouraged that the both of you try something new.
While he was hesitant at first (of course he wanted to put you first), you assured him you’d feel good all the same. In the end, you both agreed on Cedric trying next time to be more.. selfish? Selfish. And rough.
You just didn’t think the “next time” you talked about would happen now, of all situations.
You feel your stomach churn. (You felt like you were going to explode, honestly.) He made you feel all sorts of things, even if you weren’t really his main priority right now.
He slowly pushed himself into your mouth, still careful not to cause any discomfort. To tease him, you swirl your tongue around his dick as you hollow out your cheeks. He grunts at the sudden action. He bucks his hips against your mouth in response, causing you to gag as you take more of him in.
You grab onto his thighs as if you were holding on for dear life as he begins bobbing your head. You look back up at him, seeing him with a really pleased expression– eyes closed, panting heavily, his jaw hanging, leaving his mouth open in an o-shape as he lets out soft groans.
You could hear him curse under his breath while also muttering words of praise. He only roughens his pace more, beginning to thrust into your mouth as you try to keep up by breathing through your nose, getting all teary eyed too.
“Merlin, you’re doing so well f’me,” he says breathlessly. All you can do is hum in response.
Each time he practically drives himself into your throat, you can feel the wind getting knocked out of you. (In a good way, of course.)  As much as Cedric loved to be slow, sappy, and romantic, he definitely had a filthy side to him and a thing for shanking around in places you aren’t supposed to.
Yeah. You’d never forget the quickie beneath the staircase in the Yule Ball, or when he went down on and fucked you in the prefect’s bathroom.
Since you’re unable to control your pace nor take any breaks, saliva wells up in your mouth– escaping your lips as you drool onto the floor, and all over his cock. It only serves to fuel Cedric even more, and he only proves your point when you spot him with a slight smirk on his face.
The rush it gives you is overwhelming, you felt as if you’d come like this– untouched. You can’t ignore the wetness pooling in your underwear.
The firm grip on your hair gets tighter, his thrusts more erratic, and you were sobbing, gagging and drooling on his cock. You could tell he was close.
“Yeah, that’s it,” he pants, “just keep letting me use you,” his voice rough and low, that familiar tone he uses unconsciously in bed that you like. He would always be so into every moment that he does little things like that which he doesn’t notice– but you did. You loved taking note of them.
“Oh, m’gonna–” He pushes your head, forcing you to completely take every inch of his dick. He cums as you’re being held securely in place, nose pressed up against his groin and all.
Your head jerks reflexively, also gagging as hot spurts of cum hit the back of your throat. You swallow desperately. Your poor attempts leave his seed overflowing from your mouth, dripping down your chin.
Cedric pulls you away, his hand letting go of your head as he tucks his cock back into his pants. He was seemingly satisfied with himself.
You swallow the rest of his cum before you speak. “You should do this more often,” you manage to say, in a hoarse tone. He grinned at that fact, quite delighted at his work. “Yeah, I think I got a bit carried away,” he says, not a hint of sorry at all in his tone.
“You did,” In an effort to look presentable, you wipe your chin, ridding any excess cum on your face. Also combing your hair, which had gone all frizzy, to straighten it out. Or trying to, at least.
“T’was good, though.” You say while flattening out your skirt, giving him a peck on the cheek afterwards.
“Glad you liked it then.”
Both of you hurried on to the great hall for lunch. His teammates exchanged suspicious looks. One asked why he took an unusually long time in the locker rooms.

better than words | cedric diggory smut
this a repost. unfortunately, tumblr has deleted the original post as it was said to have violated community guidelines.
Tumblr media
pairing: cedric diggory x fem!reader (gryffindor) warnings: smut/nsfw content, cedric diggory being an angel but a devil in the sheets oml kinks: overstimulation, daddy kink, dom!cedric, sub!reader, oral (female receiving), breeding kink, slight innocence/corruption kink if you squint prompts: “don’t worry, i’ll go easy on you,” “you say that as if hooking up with you is something i should be concerned of” “i like to take my chances”
a/n: in response to this request. thank you for this! again, this is situated in hogwarts. which means, this follows a personal fanon where hogwarts education started at 14. added: ergo, as this fanfic is set where they are already in 6th year, the students are technically 19-20 of age.
summary: cedric diggory was one innocent lad with not-so innocent desires. not everyone knew - not even y/n. and when they were locked up in a room because of a harmless party game - all thanks to fred and george.
Y/N was fucked. Absolutely fucked.
What might’ve triggered it, she doesn’t know. But she awoke with heavy breaths and a sweaty forehead, all because of a certain Hufflepuff that she had been dreaming about at night.
Her mind wanders off to the dream vividly. Even Y/N herself couldn’t deny that even in her subconscious state, it seemed that Cedric Diggory consumed her thoughts. What had been harmless pining over him because of his rather innocent nature quickly escalated to Y/N trying to get herself off on her bed as her roommates quietly snored in their deep slumber.
She envies them, really. Having to not have felt hot and bothered over someone that she finds attractive to the extent that they’d be dreaming of them and having them almost as sexually frustrated as her as she is right now.
“Good Merlin,” she groaned, wiping her forehead with the back of her hand as she regains composure from the explicit scenes in her head. Scenes she was positive she’d be thinking about again tonight - if, she would have some alone time tonight, she thinks. Especially when the infamous Gryffindor twins are hosting a party; and her, Y/N, being a student known to many in her dominant stature and easy-going attitude, being expected by many to attend to.
Considering she had so many things to attend to these days – that including daydreaming about corrupting Cedric Diggory’s innocent facade.
“Ah, Y/N!” Fred cheered as he sees Y/N take her seat at the Gryffindor table, face depicting such annoyance and frustration from being interrupted in her dream as well as the persistent dread of classes - with Potions as their first class in fifth year.
Y/N rolled her eyes, trying her best to ignore the older twin’s remarks on her bitter attitude by supplying herself food on her plate, but as she was about to fill her goblet with much needed orange juice to soothe down her dry throat, her wrists were stopped by Fred and was instantly squeezed in between the bodies of the two beaters.
“What do you want, Fred?” snarled she, making Fred and George exchange amused grins at each other, “Good morning, too, Y/N.” George laughed, taking a bite of her toast that she had just held for her to eat.
“So, Y/N, we’ve been thinking,” George started, turning his body towards yours, “Certainly doesn’t end well when the both of you think,” Y/N muttered, earning a light shove on the arm as Fred turns his body as well to face you, “How you offend us, dear,” Fred mocks a fake offence, laughing it off as you return a look of annoyance.
Fred cleared his throat, “You know about the party tonight, right?”
Y/N nodded, “You pretty much don’t shut up about it,” George laughed, “Right!” as he takes her goblet to drink from it despite Y/N’s gaze of warning.
“So, we have this game,” Fred started, then taking Y/N’s goblet from George’s hand for him to drink from as well. “And we -”
“if you keep on drinking from my cup, I’m not interested.”
In an instant, Fred brought the goblet down, chuckling slightly as he runs a hand through his hair, “Fair trade.”
“Seriously, what do you want?”
“Well, we know your attraction towards a certain Hufflepuff,” George smirked, raising his eyebrows at Y/N which she responded with an eye roll, “You didn’t really have to tell us, Y/N. We know just how you stare at that pretty boy.” Fred winked, laughing at her exasperated expression.
“And we have been dying to test out these products that we have just invented –” George starts.
“And some of it requires pyrotechnics,”
“Fireworks,”
“Sparks,”
“Those stuff.”
“And you need the help of a Prefect to not let you be caught.” Y/N finished for them as she swallowed the toast that she had been chewing rather slowly as her gaze wandered off to the boy who was silently eating his breakfast, laughing along with fellow Hufflepuffs.
Her breath hitched and she almost choked as their eyes locked, and the twins, noticing how Y/N had spaced out, followed her gaze, smirking afterwards as they landed on Cedric.
“Like I said, we know about your attraction,” Fred tapped her on the shoulder, drawing her attention back to them.
“And we can certainly set up a game that could let you have a shot with him.”
Y/N scoffed, drinking down her goblet, “Please,” she wiped her mouth, “Cedric’s too pure for the games that you have in mind. I bet he wouldn’t even go to the party, knowing you two.”
“Oh, but you are certainly doubting our charm, Y/N!” gasped George.
“George’s pretty good at inviting everyone in our parties, so that means we can surely invite your Diggory.”
Y/N, despite her disbelief, knew that Fred and George wouldn’t stop pestering her, had she not agreed to the deal. That’s why, as she wiped her hands with the napkin on the table, she shook each of the twin’s laid out hand, stating proudly, “You got yourself a deal, Weasleys.”
The day went by quickly as expected. And it certainly did not help that she had classes with the Hufflepuffs, enabling her to involuntarily stare at Cedric - as well as watch the twins successfully invite him to the party, mouth agape in surprise; to which the twins laughed at as George pushed her mouth close, with Fred patting her on the head.
“Told you.”
After a dinner with a very much unoccupied Great Hall, she found herself getting nervous over the party. Not that she wasn’t fond of parties nor was she excited of it, it was more of the curiosity she had withheld on the game Fred and George were planning tonight.
As she enters the rather crimson-lit Common Room, she finds herself being ushered by Lee towards the forming circle at the centre of the room with a glass of Firewhisky being pushed towards her.
“Oh, there she is!” George smirked, taking a swig of the Daisyroot Draught which he retrieved from the table behind him. Fred’s eyes wandered to her figure which was approaching the circle, winking at her as he nods his head towards the direction of the Hufflepuff who was leaning on the wall, hand tucked in the pocket of his trousers as he fixed himself with a Quintin Black.
Their eyes locked yet again, and she swears her heartbeat has increased as Cedric shot him a lazy grin, nodding at her to acknowledge her presence.
As she situated beside Fred who was congruent to Cedric’s position, the twins had introduced the game called 7 Minutes in Heaven (which the twins had explained they knew from Hermione who was a muggleborn, making the witch blush), Y/N couldn’t help but notice how many times she and Cedric have locked eyes. This interaction was not let unnoticed by the twins - however, this was unknown to Y/N.
Especially when as Fred spun the bottle for the next pair after Ginny and Pansy stumbled out of the room with hollers and cheers, George had discreetly pulled his wand from his back pocket, muttering a spell that has made the bottle point at Y/N first, then Cedric afterwards.
“Oh,” George grinned in a taunting manner, “looks like a soft Hufflepuff would be with a feisty Gryffindor.” he says, eyes flickering between the two whose faces - they knew, were as red as the room’s lights.
“Don’t worry, Ced,” Fred assures, sipping on his own bottle of Daisyroot, “we’ll make sure Y/N doesn’t scratch. Isn’t that right, Y/N?”
“Fuck you,” Y/N muttered, standing up as she sees Cedric pushing himself away from the wall, chuckling as he shakes his hair, amused with the situation at hand.
“Well, you know the rules,” George winked, “Lee?”
Lee nodded with a smirk, wand waving to turn on the lamp beside the door that the trio had set up for the game, “It’s free of use.” stated Lee, tucking his wand away as Fred nudges him by his arm, grinning to themselves.
“Don’t worry,” Cedric whispers as he leaned towards her ear as they walked upstairs amidst the whistles and cheers erupting from the group. “I’ll go easy on you.”
“You say that as if hooking up with you is something I should be concerned of.” Y/N scoffed, hands folding on her chest to conceal the wavering pride in her voice.
The tall lad chuckled, “I like to take my chances.”
“Now remember, seven minutes, mates!” Fred called out, “Or you could take longer, just don’t go out of the room after the bell!” George added, making the people laugh. “Thanks for the reminder!” Cedric called out, locking the door as he pushed Y/N inside.
As they found themselves in a rather small room, Cedric sat on the edge of a bed that he internally laughed at - the prankster trio, he thinks, certainly knew what they are doing.
“Look,” Y/N started as she grunts in frustration when Cedric had done nothing besides stare at her in a gaze she was almost lost in as she paces around the room, “I don’t know why you’re agreeing to do this. I mean, I understand if you don’t want to let the twins down and all, but we could just pretend we’re moaning and everything if you’re not comfor -”
“Who said I wasn’t comfortable?”
“Well - uh,” she stammered, stopping in her tracks, “I - I was just guessing!”
She watched as Cedric stood up from the bed, his hands finding its way to her hips as she felt her chin being hoisted up to meet his face, “Well, daddy doesn’t like girls who aren’t sure, Y/N.”
Her eyes widened, “Wha -”
Y/N was cut off as Cedric immediately caught her lips in a needy kiss, pushing her towards the wall, erupting a moan as her back hit the cold stone wall.
Moan after moan erupted as Cedric took no time in undressing her from the dress that she clothed herself with. Hands immediately finding her breasts which were bare the moment the dress had landed the ground, “Merlin, no bra? What a daring little girl you are.”
Cedric’s mouth went down to suck on her breasts, with Y/N arching her back towards him. Her pussy dripping with arousal as she finds herself going dizzy about what’s happening right before her.
She finds herself being hoisted to jump as her legs were wrapped around Cedric’s torso, her hands immediately finding its way to hold on his dark, brunette-blonde hair to tug on the nape, emitting a low groan from Cedric.
A gasp escaped from her as Cedric laid her on the bed as Cedric travelled her body with nothing but just his tongue as he locked eyes with her, “So nice skin, just how soft I imagined it would be.”
He took his time in licking her body, sensually and painfully slow. Making Y/N impatient, knowing about how seven minutes could be just around the corner.
“Don’t be so impatient, angel,” Cedric chuckled, biting on the flesh of her thighs making her jolt up. The lad kissed the exposed skin of her thighs, “I bet that sweet pussy tastes so good,”
Y/N visibly shivered at his words, heart beating fast at the side of Cedric she didn’t know he had. All the while he looked so innocent, she never knew how Cedric had placed her in a trance that had her writhing on every word.
Cedric lunged forward, giving a kitten lick on her clit, which had her arching in such minimal movement. That man, Y/N swears, he would be the death of her. “Hm, angel,” he ghosted a finger over her glistening folds, making Y/N whimper at such feather-light touches.
He laughed, “And here you were moments prior thinking I wouldn’t fuck you.” he rolled his eyes, softly easing a finger inside of her, moaning at how her walls had engulfed his long finger.
All Y/N could respond was a moan, anticipating as she feels his hot breath against her pussy, just where she needs him the most. Cedric was taking his time, curling his finger every now and then to the spot which stimulates a reaction from her.
Her hands started to make its way to her breast, making Cedric halt, “Touch yourself and you’d be getting yourself off.” he warned, making her open her eyes in an instant, shaking her head after as she gripped on the sheets.
“I don’t like how you think you could touch yourself, darling,” Cedric tuts, now opening her wide by scissoring her, “especially when I’m touching you like this.”
Y/N toes curled, wanting to push Cedric’s face towards her cunt so badly. Eventually, her desires were soon answered as Cedric lunges his mouth yet again, his tongue and lips finding its way to her clit as he thrusted an additional finger inside of her.
“Oh, fuck!” Y/N exclaimed, “No, don’t close your eyes,” Cedric said, left hand pinching her on her thighs making her squeal, “look at me, I wanna see you fall apart.”
The Gryffindor so desperately tried in locking eyes with Cedric’s lust-blown gaze, trying so hard to not let her lash flutter against the top of her cheeks. Especially trying so hard when Cedric gives a soft bite to her clit then pulls away for him to play around with the pointer finger of his left hand.
Sooner, her thighs quivered around his head as Cedric simultaneously ate her out while fingering and scissoring her harshly, “So good, Cedric, oh god - oh!” she moans as her hips involuntarily bucked towards him, earning yet another pinch on her right thigh as Cedric bit on her labia.
“Stay bloody still,” Cedric groaned, fastening his pace as her walls tightened around his finger, “Needy little girl, you are,” he laughed, biting his lips as he finger-fucked her in a relentless manner.
“Cedri - oh, gods - please, please, please - shit!” Y/N exclaimed as the coil at the pit of her stomach snaps, Cedric muttering praises on how she had came hard.
He immediately went to lick her cunt as she emptied herself, wincing at the stimulation, eyebrows furrowing together as she feels Cedric pushing another finger in, “Hold that,” he orders, “Just to remind me of the first orgasm tonight.”
Y/N’s head shot up, “F-first?”
“Yes, darling,” he shot her a wicked grin, “you didn’t think we were finished, did you?”
“Cedric - wha - oh, fucking shit!”
“Daddy,” he corrected as his tongue yet again swipes over her folds, tongue lapping at the entrance of her pussy as his finger toyed on her clit, drawing circular figures faster than he did before. The Hufflepuff was devouring over the cries of his name, ego boosting as he knew that he was the one who was making her writhe, the instructions of the game at the far back of his mind.
He had kept his right hand on her stomach, pinning her down as she was trying so hard to pull away from the overbearing sensation. “Baby, you’re shaking,” he smirks, his condescending words going straight towards her cunt. “does daddy make you feel good?”
Y/N merely nodded as her back arches off the bed, she opens her eyes to see Cedric bucking his hips against the mattress to relieve himself off the desire to take you then and there, pounding into you as if there’s no tomorrow.
“Words,” he whispered, eyebrows furrowing at your stubbornness. Y/N exclaimed, shaking out a breathy sigh and moan, “Yes, daddy - yes, please, it’s too much!” she cried, as tears welled up in her eyes; a tear escaping as Cedric pinches her clit in between of his index and middle finger.
Her hands tangled in Cedric’s hair, trying so hard to ease the sensation as she finds herself approaching her high yet again, “Daddy, pleas -”
“You were just telling me you wouldn’t be concerned about me fucking you,” he spat, “now that I am, it’s concerning you now?” he taunted, kneeling on the mattress while holding her hips.
He opened her legs wider, pushing up a leg upwards as he orders for her to hold it above him, enabling the lad to have a deeper access to her overly sensitive cunt. Y/N moaned and whined in a drawl, squealing every so often as she hears the words of Cedric taunt her, “Be the daring girl you are and bloody take it.”
Cedric was practically making out with her cunt, and sooner enough, she was coming yet again on his mouth as she winced when Cedric didn’t stop in lapping at her entrance as if she never came, “Daddy, daddy, please - ” Y/N whimpered, gasping as she felt his tongue push her cum yet again inside her. He was driving her crazy.
“Since you asked nicely,” Cedric smiled as he licked his fingers clean, making Y/N sigh in relief, which was soon replaced by a gasp as she watched him kick himself out of his trousers.
“I’ll be trimming it down to three orgasms tonight.”

her friends had been quite adamant about the outfit that she was currently wearing. it was a period-type: long dress, hair pinned up into a half up-do. it was supposed to be the character of rose from the titanic. the red, seemingly expensive, fabric of her dress wrapped around her figure snugly, and she couldn’t help but find herself gazing just a bit too long at her own reflection in the mirror.
“move your hair out ‘f your face, hon.” she turned to look at her good friend, mavis williams, who was currently giddy at the thought of painting her friend’s face. she complied, pushing the straggling locks of hair on her face behind her ears. she tries to sit as still as possible as mavie attempted to place the light dust of blush on her cheeks and accentuated her eyes just slightly by adding a swipe of eyeliner to each. she marveled at her friend’s ability, knowing that she would have used much more time to complete the same task to the level at which her friend could.
after she was done, she stood up to smooth the wrinkles in her dress, grasping on the necklace at the vanity while mavie went on to do her own makeup - having dressed as cher from their collective favorite movie: clueless.
dottie had left about a half-hour ago to meet up with her ravenclaw friends, and martha had just left to go find her boyfriend. on the other hand, mavie and herself would meet with mavie’s hufflepuff boyfriend, and all three of them would head down to the gryffindor common room, where fred and george, with the help of angelina johnson, had organized a halloween party - advertised as transcending house boundaries, cause no one should be able to recognize anyone anyways.
she was excited to go, not seeing her own friends outside of classes that much and now finally getting a chance. she also did love the weasleys’ parties, a common sentiment shared through the school.
she watched as mavie finished up her own outfit, popping the signature stick of gum in her mouth, before - as if on cue - they both heard a knock at the door. mavie rises up, a smile she tries to suppress still beaming over her cheeks, as she opened the door and greeted her boyfriend. well, she says greeted - the girl pulled him into a jovial kiss almost immediately, having not been able to spend much time with him over the past few weeks. after the show, she joined the cute couple, and nodded at her friend’s boyfriend. he’s quick to greet her, friendly smile ever-present on his face.
“hey, connor! josh, right?” she refers to cher’s love interest in the movie, pointing at his boring-for-anyone-else outfit. truly, it didn’t work without the appearance of his girlfriend, but it didn’t really seem like the two of them would separate for much time tonight anyways.
as soon as they near the stairs, they can already hear the heavy bustling and chatter standard of a weasley party, seeing the common room flooded with people in all sorts of costumes as they ventured down. many were the standard: zombies, vampires, werewolves. there were a few fairies, elves and the like. then, there was an assortment of movie and tv characters. she glanced around for her friends, immediately finding dottie - who was in a white shirt and tight corset - with her ravenclaw friends, emulating a team of bloodthirsty pirates. martha went to greet her, with her boyfriend in tow, and she marveled at the cute outfit: baby and johnny from dirty dancing.
her friends were all talking amongst themselves, being shockingly distant to her and, for the life of her, she couldn’t tell why. deciding to ignore it, she broke away to go find the refreshments counter - a butterbeer had never sounded better. she filled a glass with the stuff - the sweet drink having been infused with something slightly more potent to really make this a party, and she absentmindedly glanced at who else was attending.
well, she says absentmindedly, but, truly, she’s looking for one person: cedric diggory. see, the girl had had an almost embarrassing crush on the boy for some time now, and the only people who knew that were her dorm-mates and close friends. half the reason she’d come to this party was because mavie had heard that he’d be here and, as pitiful as it was, she was really excited to see him.
“’lright there?” she’s broken out of her thoughts by a loud voice - voices. in the blink of an eye, she’s surrounded by hogwart’s double trouble, and fred and george both have somewhat expectant looks on their faces.
“hmm? yeah, yeah, i’m great! ‘t’s a nice party.” she nods back at them, plastering a smile to make it look like she was more tuned in to their conversation that she actually was.
“how come you sound surprised? all our parties are nice -” started fred, but george was quick to cut to the chase, knowing they had other guests to talk to (see: bother).
“we just wanted to say that you’ve got a cute outfit. pretty original of a couple this year, y’know? most of these other ones are pretty similar.” she’s nodding along, but, suddenly processing what they said, she’s a bit confused.
“couple? wait, what?” fred and george look at her for a moment, before looking at each other.
“uh, jack? like jack & rose?”
“yeah, we tend to zone out when dad puts muggle movies on but even we know that one.” then, suddenly fred smacks his brother’s shoulder.
“oh, george, she’s just messing with us,” if there was one thing the weasleys hated, it was getting beat at their own game of sarcasm, “good one, but you won’t pull fast one over good ol’ freddie that easily.” he laughs at his own comment, before him and his brother waved her off. except, the issue was that she truly had no idea what they were talking about. of course, she was well aware of the implication of jack when she was rose, but it was fairly obvious that she had come alone, right? and that jack, in fact, was not here with her?
she figured that the boys had just been messing with her, deciding to gulp down the rest of her butterbeer and make her way back to dottie. she was struggling with clipping on her corset as she spoke with a friend, so she went up behind her and helped her out.
“hey, dot.” she mumbles, and she tightens the clasp. her friend gives her a sweet smile of gratitude. suddenly, dot’s friend gasps and looks at her.
“oh my god, your guys’ costumes are so cute!” she smiles back at the friend, a little confused by her way of speaking but grateful nonetheless.
“yeah, haha, thanks. mavie really helped me out and, honestly, dot looks like she’s really gone all out for this -”
“oh, no, not dot!” the friend’s quick to clarify, “i mean the handsome jack to your beautiful rose.” she sent a playful wink to her confused face and, when she turns to look at dottie, she sees her suppressing a smile.
“dot? dot, what did you do?” she hisses to her friend, and all she does in response is shake her head.
“ask mavie and connor, it was their idea!”
“what was?” dot just shrugged. a little exasperated now, she left and set off on the quest to find mavis, infinitely more confused now than she was before.
as she weaved her way through the groups of people, she found herself looking back to apologize to someone whose toes she'd stepped on, prompting her to walk right into someone. they grasp at her biceps to steady her, a polite litany of apologies already leaving their mouth. as soon as she hears them speak, she recognizes them, hoping her ears haven’t gone too red.
“it’s - um, cedric, you’re fine. it was my fault, i wasn’t looking-” as she glances down to look at his own outfit, she stops. he does the same. for a moment, they’re both examining the other, the gears in their heads clicking into place with each second.
“connor…”
“i’m gonna kill mavie.” they both mutter the names of their traitors, before cedric looks up at her, and laughs lightly.
“god, i’m so sorry, this must be so awkward.” she immediately goes to shake her head, laughing as well.
“no! it’s not awkward. just…oh, mavie’s always been a bit extra about things like this.” she mumbles, trying to find a way to diffuse the situation. luckily, cedric’s much better at that then she is as, after taking a half-step back, he daintily grabs her hand in his and presses it lightly to his lips.
“rose.” he says it with affection, and she blinks, having to remind herself that it’s for the sake of the bit.
“jack.” she curtsies lightly in response, hoping the low light covers her blush.
“i was just about to get myself a drink, would you like one?” god, he’s such a damn gentleman, she thinks, before shaking her head.
“i’ve already had one, but i’ll go with you, if you don’t mind?” there’s the faintest hint of desperation in her voice, and she’s just hoping to god he doesn’t pick it up.
“that’d be lovely.” he holds his arm out for her, and she takes it delicately, knowing anything more would come off as too intimate. he’s really playing into the bit.
after getting himself a drink, they find seats near the edge of the room, the place slightly more reclusive and giving themselves an environment to talk.
“how’s your night been so far?” he asks conversationally. she sighs in faux exasperation.
“it’s felt pretty orchestrated, to be completely honest,” he laughs, and she does too, “y’know, mavie’s always trying to play matchmaker, but i usually figure out her ploys ahead of time.” he nods in agreeance.
“it’s the same with connor - he seems to be a bad influence on his girlfriend.” he says it in humor, with a fake accusatory tone.
“oh, i’m sure it’s the other way around.” there’s a beat of silence.
“we do make a cute couple.” he lingered on the word, before rephrasing, “a cute couple’s costume.” then, having noticed her face perk up at the first sentence and then again depress at the next, he attempts to hide a smile behind his glass, “i think we’d make a cute couple too.” she stares at him with narrow eyes for a moment.
“y’think so?” it’s a mumble, because she really, really hopes he isn’t playing games with her right now. he’s silent for a moment, before clearing his throat. his usual air of confidence had dwindled slightly, and she looked at him with big, questioning eyes.
“i’d - uh, i’d hope we make a cute couple.”
“you hope?” he laughs, before shaking his head and moving closer to her.
“i am trying to ask you out here. can ya, uh, help me out?” the last bit’s a joke, but she’s too busy processing his first sentence to notice.
“you - you want to ask me out?” she’s baffled, having assumed that all her previous affections towards him had been one-sided.
“i mean, if you’d let me. ever since connor introduced us, i thought you were just so sweet and i - uh - i guess i just didn’t have the courage before.” still in shock, she doesn’t answer for another moment, and he looks down at the ground, “i’m sorry, you can just say no, i didn’t -”
“no!” he deflated at the exclamation, ready to accept the rejection, before she shook her head, taking his hand, “no, i mean yes! i’d love to go out with you.” he looks confused, and it makes her laugh, “cedric, please. i would really enjoy going on a date with you.” he smiles, pressing another soft kiss to her hand.
“y’think we should tell them that this worked?” he said after a moment, in reference to mavie and connor. her eyes widened.
“oh, absolutely not!”

Series of Pleasant Firsts - Cedric Diggory
Tumblr media
Pairing : (F/M) || Cedric Diggory x Reader Word Count : 3k Warning : None. Notes : When the walls between love and friendship starts to crumble, will any of them be brave enough to take the leap of faith and tear it to shambles? Idk how to describe this story. It’s just fluff. Thank you for requesting!
She watches as he tries to break his own record at stone skipping with a wide smile. He’s always been so gifted with outdoor activities. Both muggle and wizard sports, he seems to be a master of it. How his cheeks are always tinted with rose colour from the burn of the sun, his skin gleaming from the sheer layer of sweat. Cedric Diggory is a one beautiful boy, indeed.
She misses this. Spending quality time with him, just the two of them. Having separate houses in Hogwarts were starting to create distance between them. It didn’t help either that the friends they made with were not of the same circle. Him with his popular little Miss and Mister Perfect friends while she finds comfort with the more quiet and reserved flock.
“Come and take a dip with me.” Cedric says with a smile, panting as he takes his top off.
“No.” She says short, looking back to her book “I’d rather stay in the dry area, thank you very much.”
“Oh, come on! You’ve even got your swimsuit on, it’d be a shame to not test it in the water.”
She didn’t budge, glueing her eyes to the pages.
“I promise your book will still be here once we’re done.” Cedric says, taking her book away gently as he tosses it to the picnic basket “Besides, you kind of owe it to this lake. Remember how we would always go here every other weekend? It’s been ages since, so you have to take a dip.”
He didn’t let her have another minute of thoughts as he pulled her by the waist, practically dragging her to the body water. Her scream echoes as he throws her in, soaking her entire body with the cold water. She wanted to be angry at him for not giving her the chance to take her cardigan off but it’s hard to stay mad at him. Especially when his eyes glisten as he chortles like this.
Their smiles bloom even wider as she begins to splash water on him. They playfully drown each other until he admits defeat, evidently letting her win just to please her. Now they’re standing close in front of another with smiles still tucks on their lips, making the most of time to study each other’s features.
A lot has changed in him. Cedric was always a beautiful boy and yet somehow he’s grown even more beautiful as if it was ever possible. His jawline is more defined, cheeks more hollow as he lost his baby fat. It was as if his face was sculpted by a Greek God and Goddesses themselves.
“You’re staring.” He says, biting down a smile.
“So do you.”
“Have I ever told you how pretty you are?”
She blushes.
“Any guy would be lucky to have you.”
And there it is. Any guy. Not I would be lucky to have you.
It’s frustrating at times how gentle and tender Cedric’s gesture could lead her on. There are more than a handful occasions where she could have sworn that he sees her more than a best friend. The way he treats her has changed to how he did when they were still children. To admit embarrassedly, she feels like Cedric is treating her like a lady instead of a mere friend.
A lady he wishes to win their heart.
“Let’s not talk about boys, shall we. I have just enough girlfriends chirping in my ears about them at school.” She says with rolled eyes, walking to the edge of the lake “I’d have my head if you too decide to lecture me about them.”
Cedric smiles, amused as he swims further to the middle “Why, what do your friends talk to you about?”
“You know, how everyone is apparently dating everybody else. How they’ve got their first kisses already and how pleasant a date in Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop is. All those sappy things I’m sure your friends are also on about.”
“You say it like it’s a bad thing.” He chuckles lightly “I’m sure they’re not half as bad as you moan them to be.”
“Easy for you to say. You’re always swarmed with beautiful perfect girls who are willing to drop their knickers down for you anytime around the clock. I, on the other hand, am not so lucky with a romantic life.”
“Come on, that’s hardly ever true. I’ve heard a lot of my guy friends talk about you.”
“Well the next time you hear any of them talk about me, do send them my way. I’m tired of waiting for some guy to finally ask me on a date.” She groans, feeling pathetic on herself “I haven’t even had my first kiss yet.”
Cedric raises his brows, “You haven’t had your first kiss?”
“Nope.” She shakes her head, getting off of the lake “Pathetic am I not?”
She walks to their picnic spot, placing her wet cardigan on a tree close by so it could dry. She dries herself with a towel, brows slightly furrows at the sight of Cedric coming out of the lake too. He’s usually not out until the sun’s down.
“I have an idea.” He says, looking quite unsure of himself “But you have to promise me you wouldn’t kill me and throw my body to the lake.”
She raises an eyebrow, “How do you mean?”
“To tell you the truth, I haven’t had my first kiss yet either.” Cedric admits, cheeks looking rosy at the confession “I’ve only lied to my friends so they would get off of my back.”
“Who did you tell them you had your first kiss with?”
“You.”
She went mute.
The flush on her cheeks are probably more crimson than his now. His eyes were still glued on her, intently examining her reaction. For the first time in her life, she’s seen Cedric being this flustered.
“So seeing that we have a common problem and how I had dragged your name into my lie, I was thinking.. Maybe we could just.. You know, have this over with?”
She blinks rapidly, trying to process his words. He’s still standing there, unnerved. His eyes were still anticipating an answer, fingers fidgeting as he waited patiently for a sign.
She asks hesitantly, “You want to.. Kiss me?”
“Only if you’re fine with it.”
She silently pinch herself, trying to make sure that she wasn’t dreaming. Cedric Diggory is really asking her for a kiss. Though his reasoning is plainly based as a friendly favour, she still finds it hard to accept the fact that he wanted to kiss her.
“Alright.”
He grins, sighing in relief, “Brilliant.”
“So how would we do this?”
“I- I don’t know.” He admits, sounding unsure himself “I mean, we’d just.. You know, kiss.”
“Okay. Of course. Right.” She nods timidly, trying to maintain her composure “Should I keep my eyes open? Or would you find it more comfortable if I close them?”
“Open them, please.” He says softly as he takes a step closer, placing her hand on her jawline “I’d like to see your eyes.”
She nods.
It’s getting harder for her to stay relaxed. With every inch he’s closing in, she finds her body to be more rigid, afraid that one wrong movement would make him pull away and change his mind. She wanted this, Godric knows how badly she’s prayed for this. She could only hope that he wouldn’t hear how loud her heart is thumping right now.
“I’m going in, okay?”
She could only reply with a nod.
She closes her eyes as his warm breathing meets her face. Within seconds she could feel Cedric’s soft lips touching hers, gently brushing over each other. She could feel the electricity jolting through her body with every peck. For a first kiss, he surely knows his way around.
“Wow.” He breathed as he pulled away, eyes still closed as if he tried to cling onto the feelings longer “We should’ve done that sooner.”
“Shut up.”
She shoves his shoulder playfully, trying to hide her tomato face.
The kiss would certainly haunt her mind for days, if not months from now.
“So, uh, we’re still friends, right?” Cedric asks, rubbing his nape “I mean, the kiss.. It didn’t change our friendship anyhow, right?”
She bites down the heartbreak, nodding and smiling instead, “Of course.”
“Brilliant.”
Again, she could have sworn she saw the disappointment reflecting on his eyes. As if he was feeling the very same bitterness she’s feeling right now. But as he said it himself, the kiss changes nothing. They’re still friends. Just like they’ve always been.
Just friends.
____
The Hufflepuff boy runs to her, a smile plastered on his face. It seems like he’s been searching for her around the castle with how many beads of sweat trailing his face. His face was slightly red, panting as he tried to control his breathing.
“Hello, there Champion.” She teases, fixing his shawl that was slightly misaligned from all the running “Fancy seeing you here.”
“I’ve been looking for you.” He says in between his pants “You would not believe what has just happened.”
Her brows furrow, intrigued at what he’s saying, “What, what happened?”
“I’ve asked Cho Chang to be my date for the Yule Ball and she said yes!”
The smile on her face starts to dissipate. Her eyes were starting to look blank as she let the words sink in. He’s asked another to be his date. How foolish of her to have expected him to ask her instead.
“That’s brilliant, Ced.” She says with fake excitement, smiling though it could not reach her eyes “I’m very happy for you.”
“Thanks.” He nods, looking proud of himself “I have to be honest with you, I was worried she would’ve said no because I heard Potter was planning to escort her too. Thank Merlin she chose me instead.”
She nods, still forcing a smile, “Good for you, Ced.”
The rest of his words went in and out of her ear with no remark. Only becoming a background noise she tries so hard to quiet down, feeling suffocated at its ringing. Though he’s always been surrounded with girls, there has never been one Cedric was evidently interested in. Everyone just comes and goes, becoming one of the many names mentioned in his stories.
She’s always known that one day or another she would have to face the day when he would find a girl and have his world gravitate towards her. Leaving her alone as a lost satellite. No matter how much she wanted him to know that he is her sun, she knows that in his universe, she was just another passing star.
“So, uh, how about you? You’re going with McLaggen, so I’ve heard.” Cedric says, bursting her bubble back to reality “I didn’t know you two are close.”
“No, no we’re not.” She says flatly, not looking at him “He’d asked me but I haven’t said yes. I was waiting for someone else but I supposed I’ve hanged McLaggen for too long, I should give his answer now.”
“Wait, you were waiting for someone else?” Cedric asked, stopping their pace “Who?”
“It doesn’t matter, Ced.”
The sparkle on his eyes dulls down as the puzzle clicks, “You were waiting for me, weren’t you?”
“Just forget it. It’s not like we owe each other anything.” She says harshly, her tone coming out a little bit more rude than she intended “Besides, not everything has to be shared with a friend.”
Cedric’s eyebrows rose, looking offended, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I’m just saying,” She turns to see him, hands balled into a fist as she tries to control her disappointment that is now transforming into anger “We should stop gatekeeping each other's feelings because it’s getting toxic.”
Cedric was appalled. He doesn’t understand where all her anger was coming from. If anything, he should be the one to be angry at her. She was the one who’s gotten a date first before him. He should be the one saying all these hurtful truths.
“Consider said feelings gone. From now on we don’t know each other.”
She nods, holding in the tears threatening from her eyes, “Done.”
____
Ever since their fallout about their Yule Ball date, neither of the two has exchanged a word to another. Still, that does not mean he doesn’t get her full support through his tasks. Her worry was growing deeper and deeper with each task passed. Though Cedric won first place on the second task, knowing how Harry barely got out of the water in time was enough of a nightmare for her to live with.
Screw their argument, she thought. She’d rather have him break her heart daily than to live with the thought of him away, not knowing if he was safe or not. If she has to live the rest of her life with him being oblivious of her feelings then so be it. Any of that would be better than not being able to comfort him when he’s in trouble.
And so she finds herself struggling to meet Cedric. She squeezed herself into the crowd of Champions and their supporters but the blond boy was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he’s gone elsewhere right after the second task score announcement was made. Helped Cho to get warm or something.
But just before her heart turns desperate, she hears her name being called.
She could recognise his voice anywhere, anytime. Before she could call him back, Cedric has already wrapped his arms around her, engulfing her in a big wet hug as he pulls her close. Her body heat is his only source of warmth, gritting his teeth in coldness as he rests his head on the crook of her neck.
“I was so worried they’d taken you to the lake.” He says, frantically examining her face “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine. It’s you I’m worried about!”
“Merlin.” Cedric sighs in relief, pulling her back close to his chest “They’re trying to get me killed, for real. If not from the tasks then from a heart attack, I swear it.”
“Don’t say things like that.” She protested, feeling scared of the thought “You know I hate it.”
Cedric couldn’t find a word to utter. Instead he just chuckles lightly, tightening his embrace on her. Helga knows how much he misses having her in his arms. He peppers her forehead with kisses, trying to ease both of their worries away.
She didn’t know what happened but the waves of emotions made her cry. The worry, the stress, and frustration of not being able to be there with him has driven her crazy. Now that he’s here, giving her the very embrace she’s longed for, she couldn’t help but to shed a tear or two.
“Hey, listen,” Cedric says, breaking the hug as cups her face, gazing on her eyes deeply “I know that things haven’t been pretty lately and I know I have the bigger part at fault in that, but I really can’t spend another day without you anymore. If you want to hate me, then hate me but hate me close so I can still see and touch you.”
“Ced-”
“No, I’m not done.” He cuts fast, still frantic from the jolt of adrenaline “I know we’ve been friends for as long as I can remember but I’m willing to burn that bridge and build another one with you. I don’t want us to be just friends anymore. I want you to continue being my first. My first friend, my first kiss, my first heartbreak, everything.”
She cries, nodding to his words.
“And if you’d have me, I’d try my best to be your very last. I know we’re still young but being there in the lake- Screw it.”
Spending no other second, he finally seals their lips. The very same feelings they felt years ago when they shared their first kiss by the lake washes over them. In fact, this time the feelings were magnified. Their despair and crave for one another has certainly enhanced their hunger.
She finds herself melting under his touch. Cedric’s kiss was more demanding than she last remembered them. This time he kisses her with greed, trying to make sure that she knows just how aching he is without her. He wanted her to know that she is the only remedy to his thirst.
“Wait,” She says as she breaks the kiss, earning a confused and disappointed look from him “What about Cho?”
“She understands.”
Cedric paid no mind to his words before continuing the kiss. He has certainly found something new he hates most in this entire universe- being interrupted as they kiss.
“Wait, Ced.”
Cedric lets out a huff of exasperation, “What? What is it this time?”
“Mr. Diggory.” An authoritarian voice calls from behind. Cedric has to bite the embarrassment down when he turns to see Professor McGonnagal eyeing them two with her strict eyes “You are expected at the Headmaster’s room along with the other Champions. I’m sure the two of you can continue your business later.”
Cedric nods, pursing his lips in embarrassment, “Yes, Professor.”
Professor McGonnagal gives one last nod before turning her heels to go into the castle.
She has to bite down her laughter as Cedric turns back to see her. Her cheeks were pink, embarrassed yet feeling blissful at the same time.
“I have to go now.” Cedric says softly, smiling yet looking like he wanted to stay “I’ll find you once I’m done.”
She nods, grinning, “Alright.”
“I’ll come back to that.” He says as he plants a chaste kiss to her lips “And that.”
“Just go.” She says with a giggle, smiling in between his kisses.
Cedric smiles, pulling her into another kiss before finally walking away.
She watches as his figure slowly drifts away. Her heart is still swelling from the new reality she’s trying so hard to comprehend. She bites her lower lip, trying to prevent herself from grinning like a lunatic. From then on, she knows that whatever first she has to do, she’s sure that they would only be a series of pleasant firsts with him.

afterlife | c. d.
nav. | m.list
request: hiya, so i'm currently obsessed with Cedric I've been watching Goblet of Fire over and over again. what about a Cedric Diggory x fem!reader. Where a new teacher arrives at Hogwarts with the last name Diggory. (He’s like the youngest professor at Hogwarts). One day the class finished early and one of his students asked about his father and mother. So he tells them the story about his parents. How his father died and his mother was left to raise their child by herself months after his death. And how she died sacrificing her life for her son since she was a muggle born. And as well how legend says that they’re still in the castle but as ghosts, happier now that they have each other in the afterlife
pairing(s): cedric diggory x fem!reader, charles diggory (oc) x mom!reader
a/n: sorry this took so long to get to, this probably isn't exactly what you had in mind but hopefully it still works? thank you for the request! flashbacks will be in italics.
trigger warnings: character death, shitty writing, unedited work, swearing
wc: 1.8k
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
Professor Charles Diggory was known around Hogwarts as the kind-eyed History of Magic professor, but more commonly, the offspring of deceased Triwizard champion Cedric Diggory and his girlfriend, Y/N L/N. He was one of the youngest teachers Hogwarts had seen till date, charms genetically inherited from his father, but his wit was his mothers alone. Upon laying eyes on him for the first time, surrounded by other first years in the Great Hall, Professor McGonagall had nearly broken down; for he was a carbon copy of a certain Hufflepuff she had taught years ago. And when Charles returned to Hogwarts aged 21, to apply for the teaching position, she had actually done it: he was older than both of his parents lived to be.
There was comfort in the thought, though, that this orphan had survived. That Y/N’s sacrifice hadn’t been for nothing.
It was a cold winter day and class was nearly finished, when a rather plucky Gryffindor finally summoned up the courage to ask Professor Diggory the story about his parents. “It is historical,” the witch with the scarlet tie reasoned, “Since it was a direct effect of the war, and History is always more interesting when it’s told through stories. No pressure, though.”
Charles sighed, running a hand through his hair- if anyone had caught sight of the back of his head, they would have mistaken him for his father- before speaking, “Fine, I’ll tell you, nosy lot.” The class chuckled, for his tone bore no malice, but quietened quickly as he spoke again.
“My mother, Y/N L/N, was a muggle born witch in Cedric’s year. The two of them met in their first year, but it wasn’t till the fifth that they finally started dating.”
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
“Oi, L/N! Wait up!”
You turned, taken aback by the six foot frame running frantically towards you and slowed your step, your books balancing precariously in your arms.
“Yes, Diggory?” you asked, noting the way Cedric appeared to fumble with his words with a raise of your eyebrow. His cheeks pinked darker the longer your eyes stayed on him, and when you threw a glance over his shoulder, you saw a small crowd of his friends gathered in a cluster, both of your names thrown into the mix of the conversation they were having.
“Let me carry your books,” Cedric blurted out, already reaching for them as he spoke, “I’ll walk you to Potions. You do have Potions, right?”
“Yes,” you said, letting him relieve you of your items, “But you have Charms. That’s on the other side of the castle, Flitwick will have your head-”
“Let him,” Cedric cut you off, offering you his free hand before heading to your class. It was a testament to your relationship that the two of you had each other’s schedules memorised, he knew that, but he wasn’t going to ask you out while his friends ogled at the two of you. No, he didn’t want it to seem insincere, even if he was anything but. You had gone from being a stranger to someone he believed was his soulmate, and he wasn’t going to fuck it up.
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
“Wow. You look like shit.”
“Way to win a girl’s heart, Ced.”
He laughed, sliding into the seat next to you, getting his own books out. He had spent most of the day searching for you, before Nearly Headless Nick had finally taken pity on the lost Hufflepuff, directing him to the library, where you were frantically cramming for your OWLs next week.
“I don’t even know why you bother studying,” Cedric said, noting the way your hand shook in exhaustion as you scribbled down notes after notes, the dark circles under your eyes etching black holes in his heart, “We all know you’re going to ace every subject. Wouldn’t be surprised if you topped the entire grade.”
“I won’t,” you said with conviction, “Not if I don’t drastically improve my understanding of Herbology in the next five days.”
“I can help with that,” the words were out of Cedric’s mouth before he even knew it, but judging by the way your head snapped up to finally look at him, your tired eyes somewhat filling with relief, it was worth it. “Really? But don’t you have your own OWLs to study for?”
“I do,” he agreed, “But I can’t really study on my own, as you probably know by now. So why don’t we help each other out?”
“Alright,” you responded, nodding your head slowly as you considered it, “But don’t you dare try to distract me, Diggory. These exams are important, and I don’t want to fuck them up.”
“Promise,” Cedric said solemnly, holding a pinky up like you had told him muggles do. You just laughed and swatted his hand away, before the two of you hit the books.
Five long days later, it turned out, you were the one who distracted him. Cedric was just about to walk into his first examination when he heard his name called, and upon turning, found arms thrown around his neck and soft lips on his mouth.
“For good luck,” you had cheekily whispered to him before running off, leaving the poor boy standing dazed in front of the classroom door, one hand touching his tingling lips.
“Well, Mr. Diggory?” McGonagall’s voice cut into the poems of praise he was inwardly writing for you, but she sounded almost amused. “Planning on entering anytime soon?”
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
“In my father’s seventh year, as you all know, he was chosen for the Triwizard Championship. His competition was Viktor Krum, Fleur Delacour, and Harry Potter. My father placed second in the first task, after successfully defeating the Swedish Short-Snout dragon. For the second task, it was my mother who was held hostage underwater, something I like to assume is what propelled him to finish first.”
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
You were pregnant. It wasn’t something you had expected would happen, but now that you knew, you more than welcomed it. Your only regret was that you found out before Cedric had entered the tournament, maybe the knowledge that it was more than just you who needed him to stay alive would have held him back. Or maybe it wouldn’t have, you’d never know.
At school, you found yourself thrust into newfound popularity. Cedric had always been a social butterfly, having a friend in almost every corner of the castle at all times, but it had never extended so much to you. Everywhere you went, you received a clap on the back and a cheer, but you also had your fair share of jealous girls and guys, wondering what exactly it was that Cedric saw in you. What was curious was that you had barely caught sight of your boyfriend himself, but you reasoned that you’d see enough of him when all this was over.
The summons from Dumbledore was curious, but once he explained what the task was, you found no choice but to consent. Maybe it’d even give you a reason to finally talk to Cedric.
You were underwater for a long time, but it felt like mere seconds before you resurfaced again, Cedric’s hands desperately clinging to your waist as the two of you gasped for breath after breath, until your breathing finally returned to normal. Your hands found his shoulders, and you stayed there for a second, Cedric’s forehead pressing against yours as he asked you if you were okay in quiet, worried whispers. (A picture of the scene would make the cover of the Daily Prophet the next day, but neither of you knew or cared.)
“I’m pregnant,” you whispered into his ear as the two of you sat on the docks again, wrapping your towel around the shivering boy because he had given up his own to someone else. His arm came to wrap around your shoulder and pull you closer, before your words finally registered and he looked at you with wide eyes.
“Are you serious?” he asked, eyes searching yours for any hint of deception or mischievous. When you nodded yes, Cedric meshed his lips with yours, and though the crowd roared, the only thing that mattered was his hand tilting up your chin, and your own resting over his derailing heart.
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
“My father,” Charles said, but his voice cracked on the words, glass splintering on the floor, “As you know, died at the hands of Voldemort. It was my mother who was left behind to raise me, and she did the best she could, for the three years following my birth.”
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
You weren’t safe anymore. Voldemort had put a price on the head of all muggle-born witches and wizards, and you were one of the last ones to survive. You had fled from city to city, finding refuge in the short moments you shared with your son, the few moments of peace where you could just hold him and shut your eyes, pretending your life wasn’t the nightmare it really was. A part of you knew that when they found him cradled in the hands of a Mudblood witch, they would consider your son poisoned, his magic tarnished. They would spare neither of you.
Currently, you were hiding out in Amos Diggory’s home. Your son, Charles Cedric Diggory, seemed happier with his grandfather than he had in a long while. Watching the two of them together, you felt an odd sensation of peace. An odd feeling of acceptance.
It was why, when the Ministry came calling, ripping the neighbourhood apart, you gave yourself up quietly. You wrote your son a letter explaining everything that had happened, explaining why he had no parents, and entrusted it to Amos to deliver when your boy was old enough. You were silent till the end, even when Umbridge taunted you, asking for any last words, you tipped your chin up defiantly, your mouth sealed shut.
You died quietly, but the silence was deafening.
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
“She was executed, along with countless other muggleborns, before Harry Potter finally trumped Voldemort.”
The class was silent, save for the sniffles and sobs of a handful of students, silent tears streaming down the face of the witch who had asked. Charles took a shaky breath to regain composition, his own eyes glistening, before he continued the story.
“Legend has it,” he said, softer now, “That the two of them, Y/N L/N and Cedric Diggory, the brave people who I am proud to call my parents, are still in this castle, but as ghosts. Hidden away somewhere, maybe, no one knows exactly where they are. But a fortunate few have been lucky enough to glimpse a girl walking to class and a boy with a Hufflepuff tie scrambling behind her, her books in his hands. They are happier now, because although they missed out on time while they were alive, they have plenty of it in the afterlife.”

hiii!
i was wondering if i could get cedric diggory x fem!ravenclaw!reader + basically just mutual pining until they smell eachother in their amortetia potions or sum?
tysm ❤️❤️
Cedric Diggory was not in love with you. He was perfect, and beautiful, and altogether far too good for average, boring old you. That's what you told yourself when he caught your eye across the classroom, or when his hand lingered on yours far longer than it needed to, or when his cheeks were dusted with a rosy pink when there was no one else around.
No, Cedric Diggory couldn't be in love with you. He couldn't be in love with you because you were in love with him.
You trudged into the potions classroom, prepared for the utter embarrassment Amortentia was going to bring you. The potion smelled of whatever you were attracted to, which in your case was cinnamon, firewood, and chocolate - Cedric. Cedric, who happened to be your partner in potions.
"I want you to describe to your partners what you smell," drawled Snape. "I don't care if it's embarrassing, I don't care if you think it's pointless, it's in the curriculum so you're going to do it."
Grumbles sounded around the classroom, fading into nervous chatter as students embarrassed themselves publicly.
"I'll go first," Cedric offered kindly. He took a deep whiff of the potion. "I smell..." He took another whiff. "It's like a mix of trees, fruit, and flowers." He smiled at you. "Your turn."
You were in shock. The scent he described was exactly the way your perfume smelled. You couldn't deny it anymore. Cedric Diggory was in love with you.
You shook off the thought and smelled the potion. "Cinnamon, firewood, and chocolate." Just as you had expected.
Cedric tilted his head with a confused smile. "That kinda sounds like the way I smell." Then it dawned on him. "Oh."
You smiled shyly. "Yeah..."
Cedric grinned. "I guess I kinda gave myself away too. I basically just smelled your perfume."
You giggled. "So..."
"Do you wanna go to Hogsmeade with me?" Cedric can't stop smiling, and neither can you.
"I would love to."

— summary : in which reader gets lost in hogwarts and the hufflepuff prefect helps.
Tumblr media
you ran through the barren corridors in the large school, the remainder of your fellow students already in their designated lessons. regret had flooded your emotions as you began to have a conscience about your overly optimistic decision to have a mere five minutes extra in bed. as anyone could predict, those five minutes ended up being much much longer.
even though you had gotten more sleep than you bargained for, the sudden rush and adrenaline that circulated in your body as you hurried to get changed and eagerly run to your first (luckily, not your second) lesson, causing you to sprint absent-mindedly down the school halls and turning corners hoping that they successfully get you to your destination as soon as possible.
soon enough, your keenness inevitably led you to a corridor in the school that you have never come across before. you came to an abrupt halt as realisation dawned on you, not waiting much longer before you bluntly began to make a sharp u-turn. once you turned, you banged into a person that had suddenly appeared near you.
your books fell out of your grip and you had to quickly steady yourself otherwise you would have fallen to the ground.
“oh gosh, i’m so sorry…” you quickly apologised as you started to crouch down to collect your belongings off the floor.
“no, it’s fine. here, let me help you.” the boy followed in pursuit and assisted.
as the two of you were gathering your hoard of books, your fingertips accidentally brushed over each other’s and electricity began to flow through your veins. you recognised this boy instantly; it was none other than cedric diggory, a hufflepuff prefect and hogwarts’ golden boy. practically every student knew of him. you’d only ever seen him from a distance and never had the chance to appreciate his piercing blue eyes and his soft brown hair that complemented his appearance entirely. soon, you found yourself quickly looking back down at the remainder of the books on the floor in order to break the intense eye contact as you began to stutter when you next spoke.
“oh, yeah, thank you. i’ll try to, erm, take better notice of my surroundings in future.” cedric chuckled lightly at your statement. the pair of you stood up and he kindly passed your books back to you. you shyly remade eye contact with the hufflepuff as the conversation began to unfold.
“it’s hardly your fault. i shouldn’t have stood so close to you without your knowledge — an accident was bound to happen.” he shrugged. you gave a small nod in response. “though i do have one question,” he began once more, worry beginning to wash over you slightly, “what are you doing out in the corridors during lesson time?”
“oh, i may or may not have accidentally over slept and now i appear to have found myself in a part of hogwarts that i’m unfamiliar with. the past fifteen minutes have been sort of a blur, really.” you gave out a low and awkward titter in hope to slightly whitewash and humour your stupidity of the morning. you gave a mental sigh of relief when cedric, once again, let out a friendly chuckle.
“typically, as a prefect, i should be scolding you for your lack of decent time management and your absence in lesson,” he smiled, “but your beauty has convinced me to let you off the hook.” you could feel your cheeks heat up and knew that they were displaying an embarrassing amount of red blush at cedric’s unexpected, but nonetheless appreciated, compliment.
“oh, erm, thank you so much.” you stumbled. cedric’s grin widened as he watched you avert your eyes, looking anywhere but at him.
“though, i suppose i could ask you what you are also doing out of lesson, diggory.” you quickly stated, eager to change the conversation topic, hoping you sounded tough. your eyes now looking back into his cheerful ones.
“i was escorting a lost first year to their lesson just here. but apparently he wasn’t the only lost student this morning…” his voice trailed off, as though he was beginning to analyse how you would respond. again, embarrassment consumed you as you realised that you had admitted your silly mistake regarding sleep to the ever so handsome boy in front of you. “perhaps i could escort you to your lesson, if you’d like? which class are you supposed to be in?” cedric continued.
“that would be appreciated, thank you.” you spoke, you’re voice awkwardly squeaky as you answered the sudden question, “divination.” the grip you had on your books tightened as you wished this conversation would now end swiftly.
“we’re not far from the divination classroom actually… it’s this way.” and so cedric began to walk by your side as you allowed him to lead you to the classroom. as the adrenaline that filled your veins began to calm and as cedric ushered you closer to your destination, you came to recognise your surroundings. but you couldn’t bring yourself to mention that you were now no longer lost in fear that cedric would then leave you too soon. shortly, the two of you came to a halt as you reached the entrance of the divination classroom. cedric turned to face you.
“thank you,” you said, “i just can’t believe that after six years of attending this school, i’m still getting lost.” you hung your head low in defeat.
“don’t worry, it happens to the best of us.” cedric reassured.
“well, i better go in, i don’t want to be even more late than i already am.” you slowly began to saunter your way towards the classroom.
“yes…” cedric answered, he looked as though he had more to say. you placed your hand on the ladder when he spoke up. “i think i’d like to see you again and get to know you more.”
“oh,” you snapped your head back around to look at him so fast that your neck began sting, “i’d very much like that too.” cedric smiled in triumph.
“great. i’ll catch you around sometime, then.” he beamed as he began to step backwards, “however, i realise that i don’t know your name.”
“y/n.” cedric quietly repeated your name after you, looking pleased as he did so.
you both bid each other your farewells, and soon cedric disappeared back down the north tower. you began to ascend up the ladders into the classroom, your heart beating rapidly. however, you couldn’t help but feel disheartened about the uncertainty around getting to know cedric better. but for now, you tried to focus on what to tell professor trelawney when you reached the classroom.

Champagne Problems
Tumblr media
C. Diggory x OC (Yuna) - 3.9k words
Warnings: swearing, food mentions, social anxiousness, panic attacks, mentions of Cho x Harry, slightly out of character characters?
Summary: As a fifth-year muggle-born in Slytherin, Yuna was used to the stares and whispers thrown at her. She was used to letting them slide past her with a cold stare and an icy reputation. But when her greatest weakness and best friend, Cedric Diggory, asks her to the Yule Ball, the emotions she tried to desperately bottle up erupt all at once and she'll have to learn how to face her feelings than run away.
Here's my masterlist!
A/n: I just listened to champagne problems and afterglow nonstop and suddenly this appeared in front of me, I don’t know why or how. This is very self-indulgent and niche but it feels like doing it an injustice if I re-wrote it to Cedric x reader so here ya go. Hopefully I'll come back with more fics though, both x reader and OC. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Yuna wasn’t weak. Ever since her first day at Hogwarts, and essentially her first day of being a witch, she never allowed herself to be weak. The sorting hat proudly declared her a Slytherin with a purpose. She had the ambition and pride to defy all odds as a muggle-born witch. For the past five years, Yuna had carefully built herself the strongest front she could muster, but who knew that a single dance could bring it all down. Yuna wasn’t weak, but she sure as hell felt like it. It reminded her of her first day as a naïve witch hearing the hesitant claps at her house declaration. She hated it.
Tumblr media
It was a cold December morning and the students were buzzing with far too much excitement for a Monday morning. Yuna was on her way to the great hall, already dreading sitting in the Slytherin table. An unfortunate side effect of her self-built fortress is the isolation or intimidation of others from her, which often lead to silent breakfasts, lunch, and dinners alone.
Hopefully this morning would be as uneventful as possible, as the last one lead to an unfortunate first year running off. Merlin, if the dumb houses didn’t exist, she’d much rather sit next to Cedric Diggory, her safe haven and long-time friend, rather than the cursed crowd that is her own house.
How she and Cedric ‘golden boy’ Diggory even stayed friends was beyond her, but she vividly remembers the first time they met. After searching for the platform 9 ¾ for more than an hour, she stumbled into a father, a son around her age with unruly brown hair, and an odd-looking owl. Cedric helped her in navigating the train station and the entire wizarding world, and she couldn’t be more grateful for him.
But when she learned about the housing system and sorting ceremony, she was terrified at the fact that she would be split from her very first and only friend. Fortunately, she was wrong, because however stubborn she was to keep up the intimidating Slytherin reputation, Cedric was more stubborn in keeping her at his side.
As Yuna stepped inside the great hall, she silently prayed to Merlin that this breakfast would be as uneventful as possible. The stress of the impending Yule Ball only adds to her misery that is Monday mornings. Her game plan was to quickly and silently assemble a sandwich and bolt to her first class. And it all went smooth, until a certain Hufflepuff student decided to interrupt her process.
“Good morning Yuna,” Cedric greeted.
“Diggory.” Yuna replied back, not taking her eyes off her plate and her unfinished sandwich.
“Well, glad to see you all bright and cheerful today.”
“Diggory, you know I’m not a morning person.” Yuna finally looked at him.
Cedric waved her deadpan expression off. “I know, I just thought you’d be more excited today because of the Yule Ball.”
Yuna cracked a small smirk, “Oh right, Mr. Hogwarts champion,” Cedric looked downwards, flustered.
“Good luck finding a date, although I don’t think you’ll have much of an issue with all the people willing to throw themselves on you.”
“Sounds like you’re jealous,” Cedric smirked. Now it was his turn to strike back.
“Oh, not at all, in fact I feel sorry for you and your owl, with the amount of fan letters that poor bird has to carry.” Unfortunately for Cedric, Yuna is a tough nut to crack.
“I quite enjoy it actually, the title of Hogwarts champion.” He boldly stated.
“Maybe try to work on your lying skills Ced, we both know you absolutely hate the constant attention.” His eyes flickered to the groups of girls and boys alike watching him and his conversation with his best friend. He sighed and decided to give up on the act.
“You’re right.” Cedric huffed.
Suddenly, he bolted upright as if he was struck with a brilliant idea. Yuna eyed him wearily on whatever idea his mind suddenly came up with. Cedric was a good student with his head on his shoulders but she was still cautious.
“Go to the Yule Ball with me.”
Yuna choked on her bite.
Cedric quickly gave her a glass of pumpkin juice and rubbed her back as she tried to recover from the mild heart attack, he gave her. Attend the Yule Ball with him??? The Hogwarts golden boy and champion??? Had he officially gone insane? Yuna thought he truly had.
“Diggory? You can’t just suddenly spring it to me.” She exclaimed. There goes her uneventful Monday morning.
“Why not? You’re my best friend, there’s no one else I’d rather go with.”
“No, Diggory. Just no.” She abandoned her sandwich, appetite completely leaving her body. “You know who the fuck I am right? Having me as your official date is basically social death! You hate attention, you know I do too yet you ask me this? To put me, us in front of everyone? I’m sorry Diggory but no.”
The pressure of the entire table and possibly the entire great hall witnessing their conversation was too much, she needed to get out immediately. She stormed out of the great hall, not caring where her feet took her, as long as it was away from anyone. A part of her consciousness felt guilty, so guilty for leaving Cedric alone and rejected on the Slytherin table, but in the end, she couldn’t bring herself to care.
He knew how much she dealt with everyone’s attention on her ever since her first year. Cedric witnessed how she was bullied and isolated due to her blood status and Hogwarts house yet he still decided to put her on the spot not only in the ball but in the great hall this morning. And to top it all off, he wanted to go as best friends. It made her feel like a sick joke to him and this entire school. It made her want to stomp out any spark of feelings she felt for Cedric, even if it was a bon fire burning since the first year. It made her panic.
What a great start of the week.
Tumblr media
The entire week of Yule Ball preparation was hell. The stress of the event preparation on the teachers and staff plus the hormone-riddled nervousness of students asking out their dates was nothing short of a nightmare.
Yuna had a headache ever since the incident on Monday, the guilt and shame from rejecting Cedric haunting her like moaning myrtle with a personal grudge on her soul. And now, as the sun set below the castle grounds, as she stood amidst the girls running to perfect their make-up, Yuna felt hollow. The sickening nervousness and dread from the entire week culminated into an emptiness she hated. Cedric found a date, easily, apparently to the whispers of her dormmates.
Yuna’s relationship with her dormmates were civil, some could even be her acquaintances, not minding her blood status and in fact being impressed with her reputation, but others were less than stoked at sharing a room with Yuna. It did end up resulting in a feud in her first year and a few stolen clothes and items, but professor Snape was strict with dorm assignments and they all grew up past the immaturity. (If they didn’t Yuna could easily take a few things of theirs to even it out, after all, they did share a room together.)
Yuna’s dormmates were how she ended up standing in the chaos with her dark blue, almost black, ballgown sprawled around her like a centerpiece around the bustling people. She stuck out like a sore thumb.
“Yuna, why haven’t you done your hair yet?” Hannah, one of the kinder dormmates asked the girl. “I just learned a spell to create curls, I can teach it if you’d like?”
Pansy puffed at her offer. “I doubt her hair would save her now. Bold of you to even attend the ball after rejecting Diggory.”
“Poor Cedric, he looked so heartbroken at the table. If he asked me, I would’ve said yes in a heartbeat.” Flora sighed wistfully and continued to apply mascara.
“How’d you even do it? Did you slip an amortentia in his cup or something?”
Pansy’s comments were getting were making Yuna’s patience run thin by the second, but she knew that storming out of the room would only give Pansy the satisfaction, so Yuna stayed and pretended to fuss about her appearance like the rest of them. She took up on Hannah’s offer and helped Daphne with her dress. At least the intricate lacing can distract her for at least a moment.
Tumblr media
It was exactly twenty minutes before the grand start. Students gathered in the hallway in their extravagant dresses and robes, multicolored glitter and sparkles shining endlessly under the light.
Yuna stood slightly in the back, the onslaught of color making her eyes hurt. She tried to rub her temples to ease the pain. Amidst her stress and color induced headache, Harry and Ron descend the staircase, stopping at the last step as they look into the crowd of students.
“Hey Potter, Hi Ron.” She greeted the two.
Although they were a year apart and from opposing houses, she still had respect for the infamous golden trio and the shenanigans they went through every year. To go through that many near death experiences in such a short time is impressive and slightly concerning, which is why she tries to help them out to the best of her abilities such as turning a blind eye whenever she encountered them beyond curfew and maybe slipping a few secrets and rumors only found in the Slytherin common room.
Yuna just thought of it as a repayment of sorts by being the new talking point of the school rumor mill, essentially distracting others from talking about her. And also sort of saving the school multiple times.
“What are you two whispering about?” Ron and Harry were caught off guard, not expecting her to be next to them.
“Oh, uhm, we were just talking about Hermione, haven’t seen her today much.” Harry replied timidly.
“Nice robes Ron.” Yuna nodded at him. He grumbled in reply, miffed at her comment. Yuna had never seen robes as… eccentric… to put it lightly. It was odd even by muggle fashion standards, which wizards and witches often found eccentric.
“What happened to Hermione?” She kitted her eyebrows in worry. Hermione was a good kid; it would’ve been a shame if she missed the ball.
“She doesn’t have a date, probably crying in her dorm right now.” Ron answered.
“What? I thought she was asked out by Viktor.” Harry looked surprised while Ron furrowed his eyebrows in denial.
“Viktor? As in Viktor Krum?” Ron exclaimed in shock.
“Well, at least I think so. Heard it from some Gryffindor students on Thursday.” The girl responded back.
“There you are, Potter.” Professor McGonagall suddenly approaches them. “Are you and Miss Yuna ready?”
“Ready Professor?” Harry asked, caught off guard.
“The dance. It’s traditional that the three champions, well in this case four, are the first to dance. Surely, I told you that?”
Judging by the boy’s expression, the Professor, in fact, did not tell Harry about the first dance. “No,” He replied.
“Well, now you know. As for you Mister Weasley,” The Professor pauses, taken aback by Ron’s shocking dress robes. “You may proceed inside to the great hall.” Professor McGonagall turns to another student behind them, in a rush to keep all the people in order.
Yuna panicked, she couldn’t dance with Potter, not in front of everyone as his guest. Not in front of Cedric and Cho.
She stuttered out an excuse. “Oh, I’m horrible at dancing.”
She looked at Parvati and her twin sister Padma, who were conveniently close to them. “Patil? Would you like to dance with him?”
Yuna didn’t wait to hear the girl’s reply before rushing off to the great hall, blending in with the crowd. But amidst the tule and bowties, she caught a glimpse of grey eyes.
“What’s up with her?” Ron asked Harry but the boy just shrugged, not knowing either. As Ron begrudgingly made his way into the great hall, Harry’s eyes drifted to catch Cho’s own dark brown eyes. She had her arms linked around Cedric’s whose eyes and thoughts were on someone else in the crowd.
Tumblr media
Yuna stood at the sidelines, shielded by other onlookers as the champions began to dance. The violins were light and magical but her heart felt like the heaviest stone weighing her down. Her heartbeat was in sync with the music in the most dreadful way. A loud clock ticking to her doom.
She watched as they danced and flowed effortlessly like water in a stream. She watched as they lifted their partners with the swell of the music. She watched as Cedric smiled at her-
She couldn’t keep on watching.
Yuna felt sick, claustrophobic under the magical winter sky. Her iridescent gown felt like a dress of barbed wires and the ground felt like a fragile sheet of ice, ready to crack under her and drown any moment. She needed air. And as always, she ran away. From her problems, from her reality, from him.
The little remaining common sense in her rang alarm bells at the weather outside, but the rest of the panicked thoughts overwhelmed it. She couldn’t care less of hypothermia if it meant escaping the scenario in front of her. Yuna would rather freeze than watch them, being frozen would be more merciful than being shattered.
The girl slipped out of the great hall, luckily most were distracted by the dance. Her face was taut, trying not to cry, as she marched out towards the open castle courtyards. Maybe the cold will distract her from her pain, maybe it will finally freeze her heart, she hoped so.
The warmly lit hallways turned into the dim corridors until the open courtyard was finally in reach. The fountain was frozen over in ice, with the trees bare or a shade of brown. Everything was illuminated by the moonlight and sparse candles in the courtyard. Yuna could finally breathe again.
Instead of shaking and complaining about the cold, she relished how the crisp winter air made her lungs sting. She let the snowflakes seep into her skin and hair, covering her in speckles of white, like small diamonds from the sky. She was never more grateful for winter.
Yuna made her way towards the center, brushing her fingertips against the old tree in a silent greeting, her constant silent companion. She sat on the ledge of the fountain and stared out into the darkness of the night.
Sometimes, with the stress of family expectations and her reputation made her forget the things she took for granted. Some of these things are her magic, being the first witch in her family line. Another was that Hogwarts was located in the mountainous region of Scotland, meaning civilization was hours away and nothing could disturb her and the stars.
When she was a little girl, she always loved looking at the stars. She thought they were like gemstones hidden under the thick blanket of the sky. And as she grew older, the more she sought comfort in the distant stars.
She told them stories of her adventures as a child, running around her family home, she told them about the letter she magically received one day, sent by an owl, she tells them about her fears and thoughts. Thoughts about the brand-new world she was suddenly thrusted in, about her peers and the disgust or fear in their eyes around her, about her closest and only friend.
Yuna exhales, a cloud of breath floating to the sky.
Tumblr media
Cedric danced with the grace and poise of a gentleman, lifted Cho at the perfect moment, held her waist with the perfect pressure, yet everything seemed too perfect. Like a rehearsal of the actual event, his eyes were stern in concentration instead of wonder. His mind counted every beat with precision. Although his body was here, dancing in perfect harmony, his mind and heart was somewhere far away.
His gaze wandered away from his partner and onto the onlooking crowd, he carefully scanned every face and dress, searching for a familiar set of eyes and a dark iridescent gown. Finally, he caught a glimpse of an iridescent movement, weaving in between the sea of people. It made him falter, the consistent grip on his partner loosening and his steps stumbling slightly. It made Cho look at him in surprise and concern, but he quickly recovered, remembering the next move to be a turn.
As he turned in tandem with the rest, she disappeared from his sight, leaving nothing but a door ajar in her wake. It made him frustrated and restless, counting every second until the grating violins stopped playing.
To Cedric’s relief, the dance finally ended, and the music shifted from a formal waltz to energetic punk. Waves of people came rushing into the center floor, barricading the boy from following what he was searching for. Cedric at least had half the mind and decency to apologize to Cho before running off.
“It’s okay, I know.” She spoke, giving an understanding hand to Cedric’s tense shoulders. Cedric gave her a grateful smile in return, and turned to leave the great hall, making his way against the crowd.
Cho’s smile waned as she watched him pursue his true feelings, knowing he never truly saw her, although it was fun and easy to pretend he did when he asked her in the corridor to be his date to the ball. But she knew how stubborn he was, how stubborn feelings were, and how it would always lead you to the one you love the most, even in the most uncertain of situations.
She turned to look behind her, sensing a presence. Cho’s eyes locked with bright green ones hidden under circular glasses. It was Harry, the infamous boy who lived, the boy who kept looking at her since the fateful meeting in the train. Cho smiled at him and he smiled nervously back. Maybe she could still have fun tonight, with a different person that finally saw her.
Tumblr media
“….Yuna.” The way he said her name, light and airy, could rival any symphony. It made her warm and hopeful in even the coldest of winters. It made her love her name.
“Yuna.” Okay maybe the cold really was getting to her. Were auditory hallucinations a side effect of hypothermia?
“Yuna!” Her trance was finally broken, she tore her eyes away from the stars and the inky black sky behind her to a figure. It was difficult to see the face from the distance and the dim moonlight but she knew it was him.
“Yuna! What are you doing outside here in the cold?” Cedric worriedly exclaimed.
She didn’t know what to do, or how to respond, she was like a deer in headlights, or a child getting caught doing something she shouldn’t. After a while, she simply breathed out his name. That’s when the cold finally seeped in, where the weight of the snowflakes finally melted into her bones.
“Merlin, what were you thinking?! You’re going to freeze to death at this rate!” Cedric pulled her up and into his arms, rubbing her skin frantically in hopes of warming her up. She slowly leaned into his touch and laid her head on his broad shoulders, his familiar scent of cologne and warmth enveloping her instantly. The metaphorical dam cracked inside of her at the scent and touch of him.
Cedric paused as he felt Yuna start to shiver, her tears dampening the collar of his robes. He had seen her cry plenty of times before, in the shadows of the corridors, in the nights past curfew, with him always beside her, and every time he swore that he would do anything for her to never cry again, even if it meant fighting the biggest dragon or carrying all the stars, as long as it was for her. It was a promise he made to himself when he was twelve years old and it’s a promise he still keeps until now.
“I’m sorry.” Yuna whispered, clinging tighter onto Cedric. “I shouldn’t have rejected you in front of everyone and ruined this night by making you search for me. I’m sorry.” She sobbed, letting the waterfall of emotions escape her carefully built walls.
“Yuna, it’s alright. In fact, I should be the one apologizing for asking you in front of everyone in the first place, I forgot how you felt with everyone watching us. I shouldn’t have forgotten that. And you didn’t ruin this night for me at all. I’d rather be with my best friend than dance in the great hall without you.”
Yuna’s heart clenched at the word. Best friend.
“I would feel horrible not realizing you were out here in the cold while I was inside.” He rubbed her back in comfort, bringing her as close as possible and leaning his head on hers.
“I’m sorry for constantly running off.” She mumbled into his neck.
“Hey, none of that apologizing now. You have nothing to apologize for.” He held on tightly and started to gently rock the both of them side by side, a silent waltz under the moon.
The movement made Yuna feel slightly better, the overwhelming emotions replacing with a calmer sadness and a hopeful comfort. “I don’t know how you deal with me, Diggory.”
“I choose to deal with you because you’re smart, and funny, and so unbelievably kind in your own way. You defy expectations and help people in need of help. You are so much more than what other people say, Yuna.” Cedric confessed. In his mind, I choose you because I love you.
Cedric looked down at Yuna and the small smile on her lips, relief flooded his body at the sight of it. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.” He smiled. Even in the freezing winter air, Cedric found a way to melt her icy exterior. It made Yuna feel soft, weak even, but in the best possible way.
“Now, let’s go inside and get you all warmed up, yeah?” Cedric softly murmured before reluctantly unfolding from the embrace.
Yuna missed the warm embrace almost immediately, only now realizing how cold it actually was. Maybe it was because she wasn’t clouded anymore by jealousy and sorrow, or maybe because the warmth from Cedric made her unaccustomed to the temperature, she loved moments ago.
Cedric noticed how she stiffened and shook more and removed his jacket, wrapping it around her shoulders. Yuna blushed at the act, thinking what a sight she must have been, draped in the Hogwarts champion’s jacket.
Cedric stared at her with a mix of emotions in his grey eyes that neither of them could decipher, just the sight of her in his jacket stirred something in him, maybe protectiveness, or awe, or admiration.
It was a silent conversation held between the two, not knowing where it ended and where it began. But Cedric moved first, stepping closer until his shoes touched hers, and Yuna closed the gap, leaning on her toes. He raised his hand to hold her cheek gingerly as she pressed her lips onto his.
The kiss was gentle and scorching at the same time, like embers that sparked into a burning fire. Cedric felt whole as he held her in his palm. Yuna felt warm as she finally embraced her feelings for him whole-heartedly and without hesitation.
For the first time in a long while, she smiled sincerely and full of love. Her mind was quiet, the anxious thoughts of others replaced by warm thoughts of him. Yuna thanked every star in the sky for Cedric, and Cedric thanked the universe for her.

✰  ✰  ✰
“Blaise, move your big arse away from my comfy spot.”
You had a tiring day of classes, and wanted nothing more than to just relax for the rest of the night. You had gone back to the Slytherin common room to hopefully see some of your friends and just wind down for the night.
Everyone in Slytherin knew there was one special spot on the lounge couch that was reserved for you. You had spent countless hours and dozens of nights in that exact spot either studying or just hanging out with friends. That was your spot, and when you came into the common room, everyone knew to make way for it.
Blaise chuckled and raised his hands in surrender. “Sorry, (Y/N), didn’t realize you’d be back so early.”
“Early?” You exclaimed as you jumped into your spot. “I’ve been busting my butt all morning for these stupid exams. I’m exhausted.”
Pansy groaned from her spot on the floor. “Why don’t you just cut yourself a break once in a while? It’s no fun when my best friend is too busy for, like, anything anymore.”
You frowned. “I’m not too busy for you! I’m here now, aren’t I?” You grabbed a blanket from the stockpile you kept in the common room, and wrapped yourself tight in it.
Pansy rolled her eyes with a smile. “Yeah, yeah. You’re just in time to hear about the latest shit with Emma.”
Pansy had a wild grudge against this poor Hufflepuff girl who didn’t even know that Pansy was beefing with her. It was quite funny, honestly, but you loved Pansy enough to let her moan on about what annoying thing Emma does everyday.
“Oh goody.” Draco came out from the stairwell into the common room with a roll of his eyes. “Another go round of how insufferable you think that Hufflepuff is.”
He glanced over to see you cocooned in your blanket and let out a soft laugh. Draco took his seat next to you and laid his arm over the back of the couch behind you.
Draco intrigued you. Over the last year, the two of you had grown quite close. You considered Draco a good friend, but you would be lying to yourself if you said you didn’t wish it were more. Draco was kind. He was flirtatious and charming, but he was sweet and gentle with you as well. Sometimes you thought Draco may have feelings for you in return, but you were far too scared to confront him about it.
“Well, for starters, we already know how much of a know it all she is, but for some reason she has to showboat just how smart she is. You’d think she was a Ravenclaw what with how obsessed she is with being correct.” Pansy said.
Blaise started to respond to her squawking when Draco shifted closer to you. Blaise’s voice drifted away as you focused your attention to Draco.
“You alright, Dray?” You asked.
He smiled slightly. “Yeah, just trying to get comfortable. Salazar knows Pansy will be talking about this nonsense for hours.”
Draco dropped his arm from the back of the couch to wrap around your shoulder and pull you into him. You could feel your heart beating out of your chest, silently hoping Draco couldn’t feel the intensity of it.
You tried to hide the grin threatening to break out on your lips as you snuggled closer to his chest. This was definitely a first for you guys. Though you and Draco had been quite flirty, he’d never been so open with his physical touch before.
“Then she had the nerve to choose me as her partner. Like I would ever consider her!” Pansy glanced over at you and did a double take when she saw you wrapped up in Draco. Her eyes grew slightly, but she averted them with a clear of her throat as to not make it obvious.
“And then, she had the audacity-“
“She really is quite obsessed with this hufflepuff, huh?” Draco whispered to you, quiet enough for Pansy not to hear.
You looked up at him. His face was so close to yours, your noses were practically touching. You bit your lip as a smile threatened your face.
“Yeah,” you whispered back as you stared into his eyes. “Leave her be though, it keeps her entertained.”
Draco chucked, his minty breath hitting your face due to your close proximity. Your own breath caught in your throat. You hadn’t realized just how close you were to him. You could feel your stomach doing cartwheels as you took in all of his glorious features up close. The glimmer in his eyes, the point of his nose, the curve of his lips.
“I didn’t see you earlier,” Draco shifted the conversation, pulling your gaze from his lips back to his eyes. “What were you doing all day, busy bee?”
You blushed at the nickname. “I was just in the library writing up essays and study guides for our finals.” You let out a yawn, the reminder of your morning making you realize just how exhausted you were.
“Sleepy?” Draco murmured in your ear.
You nodded your head with a mumbled ‘yes’, then rested your head on his shoulder. Draco wrapped his arm tight around your waist, pulling you as close to him as possible. With his other hand, he softly combed his fingers through your hair.
You hummed as you closed your eyes. “You’re comfy,” you sleepily mumbled.
Draco chuckled. His fingers brushed against your cheeks every once in a while as he gently continued combing through your hair.
As you felt yourself falling asleep, you could hear Draco shushing Pansy and Blaise to ensure they didn't wake you.
✰  ✰  ✰
The next morning you wake in your bed, unsure of how you got there. You must have gone up sometime in the night and just not remembered.
With a shrug, you stood up and stretched your arms over your head. Pansy was snoring in the bed next to you. You tiptoed over to her and gently shook her awake.
“Pansy,” you called as you shook her some more. “Come on, babe, time to wake up.”
She just grumbled and swatted your hand from her shoulder. You huffed. Pansy was terrible in the mornings, and for some reason unknown to you, she didn’t believe in alarm clocks so you got stuck waking her up every morning.
A mischievous idea came to mind, and with a smirk you jumped on top of her sleeping body.
“Ahh!” She shouted as you frantically shook her awake.
“It’s wake up time, Pans! We’ve got to get ready for our charms exam this fine, beautiful morning.” You said with a laugh.
Pansy sat up and pushed you off of her so you laid on the bed instead. “Geez,” she grinned as she rubbed at her sleepy eyes. “Who knew a night with Draco would make you so chipper this morning.”
You sat upright in crisscross as your smile fell. “Wait, what?”
You had spent the night with Draco? But that didn’t make sense, you woke up by yourself in your own bed. Plus, you would have remembered if something had happened between the two of you.
Pansy saw your confused expression and chuckled. She grabbed a pillow and gently swatted you in the face with it. “Not like that, you silly. Salazar knows if you slept with Draco you’d have probably died of happiness.”
“Hey!” You whined as a blush started creeping on your cheeks. “I’m not that crazy for him.”
“Oh, please,” Pansy scoffed with a slight smile. “I saw the way you cuddled up with him last night. I almost had a heart attack for you when I saw how close you were! Go (Y/N), go (Y/N)!” She cheered.
You laughed and pushed Pansy away from you. “Shut up!” Your giggles died down as you recalled how you laid with him last night. “Was it really that obvious?”
“Girl please! I thought Draco was gonna scoop you up and run away with you. You should have seen the look on his face when you fell asleep on him. He looked at you like you hung the damn stars in the sky.”
Your heart fluttered. You knew there was something going on with you and Draco, but by the way Pansy was talking, though she had a knack for exaggeration, it sounded like he really did have a thing for you.
“So, what do I do now?” You asked as you slightly rocked back and forth on her bed.
“Are you joking?” Pansy deadpanned at you. “(Y/N/N), you gotta go get your man! I’m tired of watching you two drool like little puppies over each other just for nothing to come out of it.”
Your cheeks flushed. It had been a long time of this back and forth with Draco, and you decided you were ready to see where it got you.
“Okay, I’m gonna tell him next time I see him.” You said.
Pansy cheered. “Yes, finally! Now hurry up, I’ll help you pick a cute outfit that has ‘date me’ written all over it.”
You chuckled as Pansy eagerly jumped up and ran to your closet. She grabbed your shortest skirt, a white button up top, and your Slytherin robes.
“Pans, how is this any different than my usual outfit?” You asked as you stood from the bed and joined her near the closet.
“Ah, my sweet (Y/N), it’s not about the clothes you wear, but how you wear them.” She grinned as she threw the clothes into your hands. “Put them on so I can work my magic.”
You chuckled and stripped out of your pajamas to put on your school outfit. Turning back to Pansy, you said, “Okay, now what?”
She devilishly grinned. Pansy pulled your skirt even higher up your legs to expose just a bit more of the skin there. She unbuttoned the top two buttons of your shirt and fixed your boobs so they popped out a little bit more. She wrapped the robe around your shoulders, but let the front open so you could see everything underneath.
“And no tie,” she added, “that way your shirt can stay that way.”
You chuckled. “You get me into all these crazy shenanigans, you know that right?”
“You know you love me.”
“Yeah,” you added wearily, “but what if it’s too much? I mean, we still have to go to class. It’s not like I'm only going to see Draco.”
“Who cares?” Pansy asked as she started to dress herself in a similar manner. “Let the other boys stare and show Draco that you’re a hottie who other boys can get at if he decides he’s gonna be a wuss today.”
You laughed. Pansy always knew just how to make you feel better. “Alright, let’s get out there, then. Don’t wanna keep all the boys waiting.” You winked at her.
Pansy smirked and wrapped her arm with yours. You walked out together and down to your first class that you shared.
Luckily for you, Draco did not share the same period for charms as you. You thought if Draco was in the class you would have surely failed your final.
You felt pretty confident in your answers, and soon enough class was dismissed.
Your heart beat out of your chest as you said your goodbyes to Pansy and walked to your next class: one you shared with Draco.
Nervously, you picked at your clothes as you walked to potions. On your way there, you couldn’t help but notice all of the random students staring at you. Boys, and girls, sneaked peaks at you as you walked past them.
It felt nice to be noticed, you just hoped Draco would react in a similar way.
Speak of the devil.
There Draco stood in all his glory. He leaned against the wall outside of the potions room looking you up and down. Draco’s lip was trapped between his teeth and he sized you up.
“Bloody hell, (Y/N).” Draco mumbled, just loud enough for you to hear over your rapidly-beating heart.
Draco pushed himself off the wall and started walking towards you, meeting you halfway. He didn’t say anything. All he could do was stare. Draco knew you were gorgeous; he’d be a bloody fool to not have noticed it before, but there was something about the way you looked that made his head spin.
While he shouldn’t say it, Draco had always imagined how you would look after he’d had his way with you. He didn’t ever want to seem like a creep, you were too sweet for that, but that just made him more curious.
In all honesty, he didn’t know you had this in you.
“Uh, Draco?” You asked. Draco had zoned out as he stared at you. You could feel your cheeks getting warm and you took in how awestruck he looked.
“Hm?” He glanced back up into your eyes. “Sorry, sweetheart, you just- you just look incredible. Well, you look gorgeous everyday, just you look gorgeous and sexy if that makes sense.”
You raised an eyebrow almost teasingly. “Oh, so you think I look sexy now, huh?” You don’t know where this newfound confidence came from, but you liked the way Draco’s eyes widened as you crossed your arms over your chest, pushing your boobs out ever so slightly.
Once he recovered, a smirk adorned his handsome face. “I always think you look sexy, now I'm just seeing it in person rather than my dreams. And speaking of dreams,” Draco grinned devilishly, “how did you sleep last night, darling?”
You had almost forgotten about the confusion of the night. “I slept well. I think.” You chuckled as you pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. “I don’t exactly remember getting to bed, though. Care to enlighten me?”
Draco chuckled, “You fell asleep, quite adorably I might add, and I as the gentleman I am had the privilege of carrying you up the stairs and tucking you in for the night.”
You smiled, “how come you didn’t just wake me?”
Draco’s cheeks tinged pink. “I, uh, I just knew how tired you were from your morning and I didn’t want to disturb you. Hope that was okay.” Draco rubbed the back of his neck a little awkwardly.
You grinned and reached up to squeeze his arm. “It was really sweet of you, Draco.”
The two of you stared at each other for a minute, the silence held some tension, it had some longing imbedded into it.
“Draco…”
“Do you want to go out sometime?” Draco cut you off.
You gaped at him. “Like a date?”
Draco smiled, “yeah, exactly a date. I knew I’ve liked you for a little while, (Y/N), but when you cuddled up against me last night, I had this thought that I wanted to do it again. And then again after that too. You held onto like you needed me, and, uh, I really liked that.”
Draco blushed a little at his confession and shuffled his feet around nervously.
You couldn’t help but grin and wrap your arms tight around his neck. Draco was a little taken aback by your quick movement, but surely sunk into your hug and wrapped his arms around your waist.
“I’d love to go out with you, Dray,” you whispered as you were pressed so close to him. “I’ve been hoping you would ask me out for a long time.”
Draco pulled away, but still held his hands on your waist. “Sorry for keeping you waiting so long, darling.”
You giggled and grabbed Draco’s hands to pull him towards the classroom. “Come on, Slughorn doesn’t wait for anyone and I need to do good on this exam.”
Draco chuckled and let you pull him along to class. He couldn’t wait to finally take you out on a date.
