Anyway, we are in the tutorial stages so lemme sum up except with there's weird shit I wanna pontificate on.

Reverie missed a bunch of school on his first day with frankly doesn't look amazing for him. We met Ryoji GODDAMN RYUJI on the roof, because all Persona games love the school roof, and he wants to go back to the App World so he can poke around on Kamoshida.

There is palpably some Beef between Ryuji and Kamoshida. There is some fucking t-bone 3-inch cut that I have seasoned in mushroom salt and fresh ground pepper and left to air-dehydrate for three days, there is soooo much beef between them.

In the Not-Velvet Room-- Look, I am gonna start calling it the VR for efficiency's skae but be aware I do not think this is actually the Velvet Room, or if it is then someone has booted Igor and is pretending to be him.

But yeah Notigor says our rehabilitation can begin and I just wanna claw my hair out. What's funny is I know for a lot of fans, Persona 5 was their entry point. Did they know this was as severely fucked as it is? I feel like the game is pushing Fucked As Hell vibes pretty well, so maybe it was obvious even to the initiated.

Oh so Notigor is the one pushing the unauthorized APK onto my phone. I think Reverie is rocking a Samsung, it's got that Chonk to it.

Also, I dunno what it's called in the Japanese... hang on, to google!

Isekainabi, or "Otherworldnavi" that's pretty good. Which, the adjustment of "navi" to "nabi" reminds me that Japanese doesn't use 'v' does it? Or.... wait.... R is also a no, right?

(That is shit I learned from fucking Metal Gear Solid 2 actually, because my beloved Problematic Fave Kojima called the big villains the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo, because they were 'invisible', they weren't even a part of the language, metaphorically speaking, which when I understand that I thought was fucking smart as hell, though I imagine the original voice actors who had to say it a lot and rapidly did not agree.)

ANYWAY I AM GETTING DISTRACTED, POINT IS, I picked a hilariously un-apt name with Reverie Vantas. That is a tongue-twister and I am sorry.

I find it cursorily interesting that Persona has many different manifestations of the whole Jungian Collective Subconsciousness. P4's TV World was fully separated and impossible to access without the power of Persona. But Reverie and Ryuji stumbled like idiots into the....

wait, that cutscene from the start, that was Reverie's awakening to Persona. So what caused it. Also: Is that relevant to the mystery here like it was in P4, because in P4 that was super important, and I would prefer it wasn't Super Important again lmao.

Kamoshida's influence over everyone is kind of baffling to me. It's a VOLLEYBALL TEAM. Oh is that the Japanese equivalent of a football team? Because then I TOTALLY GET IT, CARRY ON.

Like, I understand sort of academically that having sports teams is good for students but also I fucking hate school sports culture. Dunno if its as vile in Japan as in America but if its even half as bad, yeah, abolish it.

Ryuji is so far not the brightest bulb on the tree, bless him. He keeps trying to locate a castle and getting frustrated. Finally, we put him out of his confused misery and use the app to make castle happen.

HE IS JEALOUS! In almost every jock there is a theatre kid's soul, crying to get out.

Ryuji has like no indoor voice, Morgana, I am sorry.

Also, I have so far zero indication of Morgana's gender, which I do like. 8) Gender don't matter, just don't call me a fucking cat.

There is a huge tutorial section, and I immediately understand why this game is +100 long, these sequences are much more complicated now. There's psuedo-stealth mechanics? Blurgh.

Ryuji wants to save the volleyball slaves and Morgana explains that these aren't actually them, they are cognitive copies that are.... essentially the projection Kamoshida has of each person in the school.

I don't wanna be a jerk Persona but this is adding more and more complexity to your already complex world. But maybe I am still in P4G mode, where every aspect of how the Midnight Channel worked was a clue. At this point, there is no central mystery.

Acually i have a perticular tale of going into this fandom, bc cc!fundy was the first new age mcyt i regularly watched! I joined the fandom uhh like 1 week after sad-1st first "war" animatic, and what acually got me invested was The soot family drama lol, after watching wilbur's war vid.

So my main povs For Pogtopia were Fundy and Wilbur. Hoo boy wasn't that a roller coaster. I knew c!Fundy was a spy but he also was struggling with that before the festival so i was at the edge of my seat. Man The disownment scene broke me and later all of the early season 2 family drama with Phil Fundy and Ghostbur.

BUT yeah! I remember Pre-festival but with tnt plan wilbur mentioning Fundy before he spiralled so far he said "i despise you" and he was just so sad.

"Fundy? Fundy is very clearly on Schlatt's side, look- Fun- I-I- Im- Fundy was the- Fundy was the- was the closest thing i had to something i cared about in- in L'manburg when it- when it all began, y'know when it started? The closest thing to anything i cared about was Fundy. Fundy was my- he was my- y'know? He was my boy! My rock! Y'know? And hearling what he said about- about L'manburg and stuff is just-"

But with c!Fundy like being the only character (i think) who OUTRIGHT acknowledged and called c!Wilbur's death what it was. A suicide. So im ready for them to play into that with their reunion.

Lol I have a tale about how I found the DSMP too - I think the first member of the DSMP that wasn't in the OG MCYT community was Wilbur, I watched the Skyblock Randomized Item series and I got emotionally invested in this story about a dude hanging out with a fish on a floating chunk of blocks in the Sky.

For some reason I didn't catch SMPEarth, but I think in late December-early January I discovered Dream, and I watched his content to get through the pandemic, but I didn't find the DSMP until I didn't stumble upon SAD-ist's animation, which I found around the time the Techno vs Dream duel happened, aka early October. I watched the War animatic and basically this was me:

Me: *sits down and sips water as animatic starts* Oooh interesting I didn't know Dream had an SMP

Wilbur: Independence or death!

Me: *spits water* is that Wilbur motherfucking Soot?!

Yeah for some reason I never fucking watched Wilbur's Dream SMP videos until that moment lmao

Anywayyy I think I watched Wilbur's War video, got confused on all the new people I didn't know (obviously I knew the Dream Team but Tubbo, Tommy, Eret were strangers to me, I even confused Tommy and Tubbo at one point lol. Fundy I knew because I watched a couple of his vids before, but I didn't recognize him in the animatic) and then looked for something that had all the story in it, so I found like a 1-2 hour cut of everything since Tommy joined to the Indepence War, and watched it in one sitting.

I then sat back and thought "ah, that was a good story" and I headed to watch the animatic again, to understand it. And then the comments about Schlatt and Wilbur going "insane" popped up, and... Oh, what is this? There's more? Schlatt, the Apple dude is the villain? Wilbur had a fallen hero arc?

So basically after a couple of days I speedran Wilbur's vids on the story. I couldn't watch the Festival one til weeks later due to personal reasons but yeah I'd say that my main and only POV was Wilbur's, through the vids he uploaded.

Which made it funny that I discovered plotpoints through animatics because my first livestream was Techno's November 16th lol.

But yeah I gotta say, not watching the other POVs made stuff soooo much more interesting. Not ony I got a POV that showed me that Wilbur wasn't insane (and I related to him a lot due to me having paranoid thoughts) but I could see why he would act certain ways.

I was so sure Tubbo was a double agent for Schlatt, you have no idea lmao. It took him being set for Execution for me to fully believe Tubbo was just being a bad spy. And then Fundy...

My God Fundy. It hurt, man. I didn't know Fundy was working against Schlatt in secret. It hurt to see Wilbur in pain from this betrayal. And then to find out that Fundy was trying to help all along? Dayum.

It made him one of my favorite characters. I really liked the dynamic they had. Honestly I so hope these two reconcile. It'll be a bumpy road, sure, but, hey, Fundy... You can finally address your grievances with you dad, my guy. And maybe, just, maybe... Help him go on a trip? Where he can get redeemed? Because it seems you are kinda the only one that got that his death was, uh... Yeah.

Oh boi it'll hurt when the Soot-Minecraft family drama returns lol

“Do you think if we met differently, we’d be friends?” Jack and Jarvis

“Cooling off”

Their mission for the day hadn’t gone over particularly well. Not that they ever really did to begin with. Though this one was really one for the record books.

“How could you mess this up?!” Jarvis shouted as he pushed his way through the dense undergrowth that blanketed the ground of the Nowem forest. Congealing greenish fluid and chunks of spongy organic matter covered him from head to toe. “Only you could make getting some stupid fruit so complicated.”

“How was I supposed to know that that thing was alive?” Jack argued, drenched in the same sticky, putrid smelling gunk as Jarvis. Only Daniel was the clean one out of the group, choosing to stay as far away as he could without being left behind and keeping quiet as the other two argued.

“You practically climbed right into its mouth! Is that what they teach you in the knights? How to run right into things and die without thinking?”

“If you knew that was it’s mouth then why didn’t you say anything? Isn’t it your job to, you know, be a leader or something?”

Jarvis spun around, pointing a finger at Jack and opening his mouth to make a retort. He quickly clamped it shut when he realized he had no argument to make that didn’t reveal he had known just as little about the weird plant creature as Jack had.

“I should have just left you in there to get digested.” Jarvis huffed, waving a hand with finality as he returned to pressing his way through the foliage.

“Yeah about that, you got swallowed up to. Talk about running into things without thinking.”

“REALLY wish I had left you in there!”

“Hey, at least you’re both okay. And we also got the fruit that...we came...here…” Daniel attempted to lighten up the situation but was cut short by two sets of glares. Accusatory glares that; without words, berated him for standing by and doing nothing while the owners struggled to hack their way out of a creature's stomach. Daniel fell back into silence as the two carried on with their bickering.

The row didn’t last for much longer though, as the party came across a section of river.

“Finally! Now we can clean up a bit and follow this back to that dark elf village.” Jarvis said, sounding over all pleased with the situation despite Jack’s incredulous look.

“Have we been lost this whole time?”

Jarvis paid minimal attention to the accusation. Instead kneeling by the water's edge and removing his helmet so he could clean the mess from his face and hair.

“We just need to follow this upstream, use the pig statue there to get back to Radiata, and then we can be done with this day.” Jarvis explained as he finished with his face and dunked his head gear into the rushing water to try and clean the grime caked to the inside and outside.

“I think the Forest Metropolis is the other direction.” Jack disagreed, frustrated and feeling defiant against the idea of cleaning up, purely out of spite. Though that feeling was waning quickly as his skin began to itch from the mucusy feeling substance on his skin.

Jack heard the long sigh and could picture the eye roll his comment earned.

“Well it doesn’t matter what you think because I’m the one who’s in charge.” Jarvis shot a patronizing look over his shoulder at Jack, reigniting his frustration back into anger.

“I dunno, your leadership hasn’t really been very useful to us so far.” Jack didn’t have the chance to see the expression on Jarvis’ face. Before he knew it a helmet full of water was being thrown at him, forcing him back a few steps as he sputtered in shock. 

When Jack cleared the water from his eyes, he found Jarvis snickering up at him with the most punch-able smirk plastered across his face. Without missing a beat, Jack planted his boot on the older man's shoulder and shoved him with enough force to send him sprawling into the rushing water.

The self righteous smirk on Jarvis’ face was quickly replaced with rage as he scrambled back to his feet. He glared Jack down for a long moment, growling when the boy refused to back down or show any hint of subordination.

Jack didn’t move a muscle until Jarvis lunged for him. He tried to jump out of range but failed when Jarvis managed to catch him by the wrist and pull him into the water. The two grappled for a brief moment, paying no mind to Daniel as he yelled for them to stop. Though the river bed was rather muddy, Jack’s foot managed to find a slick rock which caused him to slip and lose balance. The slip caused enough of an opening for Jarvis to successfully throw the boy over his hip and into a deeper part of the river.

“There! How do you like being thrown onto YOUR ass for a change?” Jarvis waited for Jack to resurface, expecting him to have finally learned his place. As the seconds went by, Jarvis’ expression shifted to concern. He scanned the area for any hints of Jack’s body, but the shade from the trees and the sediment constantly being churned up by the current made it impossible to see anything under the surface.

“Hey, this isn’t funny kid! Knock it off.” Jarvis tried to maintain the irritated edge to his voice as he waded out into the knee deep waters, but he failed to hide his growing concern. Had Jack hit his head and was now lying unconscious at the bottom of the murky river? Was the currant stronger than it looked and had he been swept away by some river undertow? Was that even how rivers worked?

Jarvis didn’t notice the grip on his ankle until it was too late and he was being dragged down into the water as well. He thrashed around for a few moments before eventually righting himself to sit on his knees, coughing and gasping for air. He glanced over his shoulder, finding Jack sitting in the water, pouting at him a couple feet away.

“Why you manipulative little piece of…”

“Serves you right!”

“I should have just assumed you’d drowned and left you here!”

“Are you trying to say I should be grateful you bothered to come check on me after you smashed me into the water like that?!” Jack turned his head away and downward as Jarvis slapped a wave of water in his direction.

“Insolent, half-witted runt!” Jarvis raised his arms in a futile attempt to block the sheet of water Jack splashed back at him.

“Washed up, old wino!”

They continued on, hurling water and insults back and forth with no signs of stopping. They’d long forgotten their third squad member as he watched on with fading patience.

“STOOOOP!” Daniel screeched, catching both their attention. Jarvis and Jack stared in shock at him from where they still sat, chest deep in water and huffing from their shouting match.

“Sarge, you’re always scolding me and Jack whenever we start arguing with each other. You should be setting an example by not doing that ether!”

Jarvis practically bristled indignantly at being scolded by yet another subordinate.

“You don’t get to…”

“No!” Daniel cut him off with a petulant stomp of his foot. “You don’t get to have a double standard like that! And Jack, you need to stop egging him on when he gets like this!”

The smug grin Jack previously had in response to Jarvis being scolded quickly melted away, being replaced by a look akin to a scolded puppy.

“I’m so sick and tired of listening to you guys fight over the messes you both make.”

The duo remained silent for a long moment, the only sounds being the trickle of the water as it sloshed past them and the rustle of the leaves in the trees. It was this time that they realized just how late it was starting to get, with the sun no longer visible through the canopy and the light pink and orange hues in the sky alerting them to the oncoming twilight. Had they really spent that long aimlessly trudging their way through the forest, arguing the entire way?

“Hey, Sarge.” Jarvis snapped his gaze back to Jack, finding him starting sheepishly at the water. “Do you think if we met differently, we’d be friends?”

The question had caught him off guard, and he found he didn’t readily have an answer. If Jack hadn’t absolutely floored him on their first meeting, would they have gotten along better? Even then, would their personalities end up eventually  clashing anyway? Jarvis huffed and shook his head.

“Honestly, I really don’t think it matters how we first met. We’re stuck together now and I guess we really need to make the best of it.” Jarvis pushed himself to his feet, and extended a hand towards Jack to help him up.

“So are you going to get over the fact that I kicked your butt that one time?” Jack willingly took the offered hand, now smiling his usual dopey puppy smile as Jarvis hauled him to his feet.

“Tell you what, I’ll admit that I wasn’t at my 100% and accept that you were lucky. So long as you cut the attitude and at least try to follow orders.”

“Only if you don’t send me to climb up man eating plants again.”

“Fair enough.” Both men shook on their deal and started making their way back to dry land, with Jarvis pausing to collect his helmet which had luckily snagged on an exposed root.

“Soooo, is that it? Are you guys going to get along now.” Daniel asked, surprised his outburst had given positive results.

“I dunno. I guess so. At least I don’t think Sarge is going to throw me into a river again.” Jack shrugged as he busied himself with wringing out his clothes..

“Hey, at least we’re clean now. And as for you.” Daniel gulped nervously as Jarvis approached him, suspiciously holding his upturned helmet. Before he could think to run, Jarvis had already swatted off his own hat and replaced it with the piece of armor, making him shriek as cold water and mud splashed down his face and the back of his neck.

“And that’s your punishment for yelling at me.” Jarvis hummed as he patronizingly patted the boy's helmeted head. “Now come on, let’s find this stupid tree village so we can go home. I need a hot shower, dinner, and drinks.”

“Sounds really good right about now. Minus the drinks part.” Jack agreed.

“Great! Should be this way.” Jarvis pointed off in his initial direction of upstream and both he and Jack hurried off, leaving Daniel behind once again.

Daniel grumbled to himself as he wiped the mud from his face. In the process he noticed lights not far downstream from them, in the opposite direction that his two squad-mates stalked off in. Deducing it must be the Forest Metropolis, Daniel turned to call out to Jack and Jarvis, only to find them quite a distance away already. He watched after them for a moment with an unimpressed look before turning and making his way back to civilization alone.

Another WIP Preview

Here’s another random update on some stuff that I’ve been working on. Anything posted here may possibly be a huge chunk of the fic, or just a snippet. 1. Love At the Shore, requested expansion from a fic title request. RAMI X READER

Getting invited by your best friend, Alicia, from college to hang out with her in her hometown of LA for the last month of summer before you headed back to school was the best thing you’ve ever done. Glad to be free from your toxic family for a few weeks left you feeling excited, and perhaps way more than willing to let loose. So when Alicia suggests that you head to the beach for the afternoon, you were more than happy to go. You were going to miss this though, as the summer was quickly coming to a close, soon enough it was back to the grind of textbooks, tests, and the stress that accompanies college life. 

Maybe it’s because she’s from LA, or just part of her personality but Alicia is a force to be reckoned with. She doesn’t take shit from anyone and is the biggest badass out of everyone you’ve ever met. Her enthusiasm and energy was relentless and also somehow infectious. She has always had a way of lighting up a room and brings the fun to everything. Most people assume that her attitude and demeanor makes her stupid which couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s pre-med, always made the deans list and is in the top 1% of your graduating class. 

“Y/N did you grab the beer from the fridge and put them in the cooler?” she asks, as she throws her gorgeous brown hair up on top of her head.

“Yes. I also put all the snacks in there. Why do we need so much food?” 

“The boys are joining us for some sun and fun, and they can eat.” she laughs out.

“Oh God Al-is this a good idea? I mean that suit is-it’s tiny.” 

Her laughter was infectious and her brown eyes full of amusement. 

“That’s the point. You are here to party before you get bogged down by school responsibilities. It fits you perfectly and honestly, you’ll have no problem finding some decent dick later if that’s what you are aiming for. And Sami’s brother is fucking hot. I mean, I may be biased, but they are also identical twins.. soooo.” she continues laughing.

“It always comes back to getting dicked with you doesn’t it?”

“Not always, I don’t get any when I’m at school unless Sami or I decide to visit each other. The pain of having been in a committed relationship for well over six years. So I guess, I don’t know, I need to live vicariously through you.”

“Living vicariously through me? You’ve pretty much been getting dicked the entirety of the summer, and you’ve disappeared on me several times while I’ve been here; for Sami’s dick.”

“The boy will be here soon, so go get your ass into your suit!”

Doing as she said you went to her spare room to change. Silently cursing her for insisting that you wear the tiniest black bikini known to man. It barely covered anything, and you felt uncomfortable. Throwing on the cutoff shorts and off the shoulder top she picked for you to wear over your suit, you head into the living room in search of your sandals your body.

“Hey Allie, can I borrow your-” you started, as you came around the corner of the hallway into the living room you collided with someone.

“Oh! I’m so sorry.” you mutter out an apology.

“It’s alright. You must be YN, I’m Rami, Sami’s brother.” 

“Yeah I kind of figured.” you smile, as he shrugs and you watch something you think is amusement play across his face.

“C’mon babe it’ll be fun! Seriously, there is no privacy for us anywhere and I’m tired of sneaking around just to get an opportunity to give my girl some proper lovin’” he whined, in your ear. “It’s bad enough that neither of us have been able to travel as much since I left for school, and I miss you so fucking much. I  get so much crap from my classmates about how much time I spend thinking about you.”

You were laying down in the backseat of his car, with him still on top of you, as you had just finished have some pretty incredible sex. And now he was trying to convince you that both should go on your first random road trip together. Or rather a spontaneous adventure as he kept referring to it.

“I don’t know. I have to work and you are only going to be home from school for a very short period of time. Your family misses you a lot and I don’t want to take you away from them more than I already have. I don’t want them to hate me more than I’m sure they already do.”

“Well, that’s up to you. I know you have quite a bit of savings, as do I. Believe it or not, I’ve managed to put away a decent chunk of money, even as a poor college student. Mama taught me how to be frugal. And don’t talk like that because you know for a fact that my family adores you. My brother keeps giving me shit about the fact that we aren’t married yet. He said that he was certain that it would have happened the day I turned eighteen.”

You couldn’t help but laugh at that statement because marriage was something that both of you had talked about since we were sixteen. Both of you are fairly certain that it was an inevitability for you both.

“You know what? We are young, in love, so why the hell not. Let’s do it. I hate my stupid fucking job anyway and there will always be other job opportunities.”

“That’s the spirit! I love you. I’m so happy that you decided to say yes, because I have a few surprises that I had planned, if you had said yes to this.”

“When should we leave?”

“Tonight?” 

“Great, but what time tonight? I get off work at 10, but I don’t want to smell like the diner so I’d want to go home and at least shower first.”

“Since I was going to drop you off at work, I can pick you up and take you home so that you can shower and then we go after that. Does that sound like a plan?”

“Yes. Now come here lover boy. I want you so bad right now. We’ve got time to make up for.”

“Again? Didn’t we just-” you cut him off mid sentence with a kiss. His mouth not putting up much of a fight against yours. Your fingers threading through his wild hair as you pull him closer. 

Your naked bodies already tangled together in the backseat of the car, your hips bucked into his, and you can feel his hardening member against your thigh. He stops momentarily to grab his jeans off the floorboard to grab another condom out of his pocket, and he wastes very little time slipping it on. 

“Mmmm baby.. I want you so fucking bad.” you murmur against his ear.

Your body so easily turned on by him, was already slick and ready, and you couldn’t help the low moan that escapes you as he slides into you. Wrapping your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist you buck your hips in time with his thrusts. 

The only sounds you could hear was the squeaking of the car as it rocked in time with your joint movements, and the quiet moans that you were both letting out.

His laugh was loud as he playfully shoved you, before he opened the back door of the car and climbed out, stretching his body. God you almost started drooling watching his body as it stretched. Next time, you are definitely going to leave a little mark there, right above the ‘v’ of his delicious hips. You followed his lead and exited the back of the car, smoothing your dress down over your hips before leaning against the drivers side door waiting for him to wander his way back to you. Once he was in front of you, you throw your arms around his neck and give him a sweet chaste kiss. 

“I love you so damn much. How the hell did I get so damn lucky?” you smiled, tears filling your eyes from all of the random emotions swirling around inside of you.

“Aw baby don’t cry. I love you too! Don’t doubt yourself love, because I’m the lucky one. The luckiest man alive because I have you.” he reassured as you sniffled into his chest. 

“No way. Me. I’m… I’m.. I’m.. just.. I’m so plain.” you gestured to your body as if to demonstrate your point.

“Excuse me. No. I wish you could see yourself the way that I see you. I see a beautiful woman with the kindest eyes, beautiful hair, and a generous heart. I’m the lucky one because have you seen me? The guy with big eyes that looks so different from the majority of my peers.” he tried echoing your earlier movements.

“NO! DON’T YOU EVER SAY THAT! You’re eyes are so expressive and gorgeous. I’ve known you forever and I still can’t figure out exactly what fucking color they are. They are… I call them ‘ocean eyes’ because they are ever changing from green to blue to sometimes gray. You are so talented and anyone that doesn’t see how talented you are is a fucking loser. And you will be successful no matter what because you want it, your live it, you fight for it. You are the love of my life, and I will stand behind you and support you no matter what!” holding him a little tighter now, because you know how insecure he can be about the way he looks.

“Oh babe. Look at us, arguing over our looks. If anyone overheard this conversation would think we are the two most shallow individuals on the planet.” he laughs, trying to lighten the mood.

“Rami, this is fucking LA, ninety-eight percent of the population is made up of a bunch of shallow assholes. So for someone to overhear a conversation about our looks would just think we are another bunch of wannabe somethings.”

Another bark of laughter from him before he kisses your forehead. 

“Okay, we need to get going now or both of us are going to be late.”

It was your turn to laugh again before you pointed out the fact that his name should actually be Rami Late-For-Everything Malek. To which he actually just flipped you the bird and that made you laugh so much harder than you already were. That was your Rami, playful and fun, sarcastic and just.. he was always making you laugh.

Sighing you climb into the passenger seat and buckle up, he puts the car in drive and cranks the radio up. You both singing along loudly and off-key to nearly every song that came on. Time seemed to pass by all too quickly and before you knew it, you were outside your house. You lean over to give him a not so chaste kiss, pulling away all too quickly. 

“I’ll see you in a few hours baby. Oh, I forgot to tell you, bring your birth certificate and passport with you, just in case we decide to do something reckless on our little trip.” he smiled conspiratorially at you, before giving you a wink. He can’t wink for shit, but it's adorable watching him try. 

Confusion racking your brain, but not questioning his motives you shut the door, and watch him drive away. Feeling like you were floating on air you nearly dance your way into the house that share with your parents and begin packing for your trip. 

You decide to pack fairly light, even though you have no clue how long this trip is going to last for and you grab the documents that he requested that you bring with you, putting them in a plastic Ziploc bag, and shoving them into your backpack. 

Deciding to lay down for about an hour to take a small nap before work, your body a little tired from the vigorous activities earlier this afternoon. Waking with your alarm, you get up and take a quick shower, and then get dressed in your ugly work uniform, grab your bags and head out the door. Standing at the end of your driveway waiting for Rami to show,  a little late like always, your mind wanders to what he had said earlier. What could he possibly mean by ‘if we decide to do something reckless?’ The thoughts rolling around in your brain, you must have looked like an idiot standing there lost in thought that you barely registered that he had pulled up. 

“Yoooo babe!!!” he hollered out the window which snapped you out of your thoughts. 

“Sorry, I’m comin!” you holler back. “Oh pop the trunk I’m going to throw my shit in there.”

He does as you ask, and you toss your backpack and small duffle bag into the trunk of his car, and you notice that he has several bags already in there, including what looked like a garment bag.

“Hey Sami!” you smile, as you climb into the backseat. You hadn’t even realized that his brother was in the car with him when he pulled up.

“Hey Y/N. How’ve you been?” he asks, a small smile on his face. 

“Great. But you don’t have to ask, I just saw you last week before Rami came home. So compared to how I was last week I am doing so much better. Happier. Ugh babe, I can’t believe the seat isn’t dry yet. Jesus it’s had a few hours to bake in the sun and it’s still wet. Now my ass is going to be all wet when I get to work.”

Sami nearly spit his water all over the dash as his brother was now speeding down the highway towards your place of work, and Rami just wore a smirk.

“You two are fucking disgusting. Animals.” Sami grumbles.

“That we are Sami-cakes, but the sex is always worth it.” you managed to get out between fits of giggles.

“Dude, she just called me ‘Sami-cakes’ like.. Seriously?”

“She calls me Rami-cakes, so Sam that just means that she likes you. She did tell me earlier that she thinks perhaps she fell in love with the wrong twin.”

The twins laughter rang through the car, against the noise of traffic.

this one literally makes me cry. i get chills what the fuck. definitely one of my favs. am i a bitch? maybe. i like the song by itself but like the way the rise/general shape of the melody flows with the visuals its like oh god oh fuck. again fuck jiraiya but like the role his character serves as a link between these disparate groups of people and the way thats used in this opening… how it starts and ends with him writing and this is the arc where naruto reads tales of a gutsy ninja and he learns about how he got his name and jiraiya wrote the book and hes WRITING and im going CRAZY!! i’m starting to tear up watching it rn. the shot of konan and the pains in that moment just before they leap forward. DIVERRRRRRR. FAV literally like naruto is drowning. hes drowning and everyone is pushing him up so he can breathe again everyone is fighting to save him and thnen he s ouf ot the water and then he sees sasuke drowning and he JUMPS BACK IN. Banger! nico did indeed touch the walls again. i like that this one is like visually thematically consistent thru the whole thing, i like the nighttime dimly lit atmosphere with the bursts of brighter colorful lighting, also whenever i see tsunade i freak out. narutos cute at the end

SILHOUETTE IS a banger… not as much so as some of the others but its a lot of fun. very colorful op, we got some naruto pining for sasuke, classic. also love the thing where ppl are running and they age as they do and they sort of grow into their present selves, a fun visual bit. the end where narutos like obito be nice now look at all these people behind me who think youre a meanie please be nice :(((((((((

Hello! I’m here to give you my complete fanmeet experience to the best of my abilities~ I’m going to preface this by saying I’d been feeling ill the past few days, so it took a lot of my willpower just to keep myself standing for a fair chunk of the show…. Which means 1) my memory is a bit fuzzy and 2) I just did not have the brainpower to focus on every member, so this is a very Jinwoo-biased fan account (not that any of you should be surprised tbh).

P.S. I’m sorry I wrote a literal novel;;; this is largely to help me remember it all both now and in the future, but I also wanted to share!

The Beginning:

The girl who did the cover dance absolutely rocked it, and the crowd had no problem hyping her up - she performed Again and we were fanchanting and everything~ And then when she finished the lights dimmed, she left the stage, and we all waited very anxiously for the real show to begin.

Now. I knew going in that Jinjin would be the first on stage with his dance solo, but that did not stop him from still completely taking my breath away (like I actually gasped and put my hand on my chest/over my mouth). It was the moment of realization that he’s real! And really here!! And he’s doing his thing!!! Like I’m still processing the feeling of seeing him in real 3D space, seeing his body as a real human body, with depth and warmth, not just a flat image (I hope that doesn’t sound weird??). And man did he kill that solo. I always love when he gets a chance to bust out his house dance skills 💕 (I should actually check cams from the other shows to see if he was doing a set choreo or going freestyle 👀). And then, of course the Rocko man himself came out, and proceeded to just destroy us all (and booooy was the crowd Rocky biased - the screams for him were REAL yall).

Once that section was done the rest of the boys came out and!! Myungjun was in just a black tshirt and jeans!!! How dare he attack me so soon into the show!!! 

They performed Again which was stellar as always, and then they segwayed into Baby. And things got LIT. Their demeanor changed, the crowd energy changed, it was just. Exactly the mood you’d expect from Baby~ The boys got really smiley and just looked like they were so happy! Just rainbows and sparkles all around haha

After baby finished they did their intros! Jinjin went first and of course intro’d himself as the leader and main visual. Eunwoo said a good bit in English but so help me if I remember any of it 😰 Moonbin gave his whole intro in English too! And you can seriously tell how hard he worked to be able to do so!! Like he really said a lot and you could tell he was thinking carefully as he was talking, I was so proud of him :’) He’s adorable, his voice is adorable, hearing him say ‘puppycat’ is deadly 😂 Mj introduced himself as the happy virus, and I unfortunately don’t remember the rest of his or Socky’s intros :( After intros, the staff brought out chairs and they sat down for q&a time!

Q&A:

If you had drawn a line directly from my seat to the stage, that’s where Jinwoo was sitting :“”“”“”) So basically I had the perfect view of him (even if I was like 12 rows back). I cant remember everything that was asked/said (im sure there are 100 fancams anyway) but some highlights include:

♥ The first question was who pays for meals the most, and they did the 3-2-1-point thing; everyone pointed to Jinjin. Then they said some stuff I couldn’t hear/catch, but it ended with Jinwoo saying something (in English!) about no longer having access to his mom’s card 😂😂

♥ Someone asking Bin his workout routine, and him genuinely telling us lmaoo And every time he would name an activity (running, weights, etc) Jinwoo would be in his chair just miming it out like a NERD 😂 (Jinwoo was just generally very animated and interactive, and he was smiling soooo muuuuuch you could just tell he was in a good mood!!)

Rocky said mask pack, Jinwoo said Arohas love 😑, I didn’t catch what Eunwoo said??, I think Bin also said Arohas love, MJ said contacts and something else genuine, and Sanha said?? He brought Jinjin??? And Jinwoo was just like ???????????????? What are you talking about 😂😂

♥ Someone asked who’s the best cook/who cooks the most and what do they make. Immediately Sanha just goes “not me!” and everyone laughs. They said they really don’t cook much at home, but Bin likes to cook and wants to make food for the upcoming birthdays! :’)

After the q&a they introduced/moved into Run which, again, Jinwoo’s position was DIRECTLY in line with my seat for a lot of the song; I was #blessed. Also at the very beginning when they were passing the mic down the line, Eunwoo teased Sanha and almost didn’t give him the mic in time - the baby got a little flustered 😝 (P.S. Sanha is the most adorable and pure being on this earth, and I’m pretty sure his giggle could cure cancer. I still can’t believe I got to hear it in person.)

So Run was good, the crowd def didn’t know the lyrics as well as the other songs but the spirit was still there! And then then segwayed into Crazy Sexy Cool and for some??  reason??? I have very little memory of it…. I do remember the fanchants being STRONG though, esp for rapline haha

After that I think they took a short break while the MC did his thing, then they brought the boys back out for gaaaaame tiiiiiiime 😀😀

Game Time:

The first game was the mystery box one, and the members were divided by staff into Hyung line vs Maknae line. The grandpas being on the same team were, of course, being goofy and extra af lmao (And Eunwoo just stood there laughing as usual). They r/p/scissored to see which team would go first - it was Jinwoo vs Rocky, and Jinwoo decided to be Extra™ and do it by turning away from Rocko and sticking his arm out behind him. Rocky won, and I’m like 99% sure he totally cheated and waited a split second for Jinjin to throw his hand before showing his own….

But either way, Maknae team won so they made Hyung team go first. Before they brought out the box there was some hyping/smack talk~ Eunwoo said (approximately) in English “Just one thing: we win >:)” and then our precious child Sanha goes, also in English (approximately) “Just one thing: You lose!” It was seriously the cutest ah my heart 💖 So they brought out the box, and the thing they had to guess was…. Raw egg 😫😫 Maknae team peeked at what they’d have to guess and omg their reactions 😂😂 They were thoroughly grossed out and excited for the other team to suffer lmaoo

So Jinjin went first, and he took off his jacket and rolled up one shirt sleeve and he;;;; has a very nice forearm;;;;; You should find fancams for their reactions tbh bc there’s no way I could do them justice, but watching Jinwoo’s face distort in discomfort and hearing him let out a small scream was sure something 😂😂 Because it was raw egg it was suuuper wet and drippy and gross and you could seeee it dripping off his fingers when he took his hand out of the box 😣😝 (the staff had towels at the ready, don’t worry). He removed his hand from the box, wiped it off a bit, and then smelled his fingers and as soon as he did that we was like “…aaaaaaaaah 😈😈” so he probably figured it out right away. Mj was next and of course he had to be a little extra when putting his hand in, walking his fingers around the opening a bit before diving in. And then as soon as he touched it he just full on screamed 😂😂 And he kept screaming and making weird noises for a bit, then he got a little used to it and was like “ooooh 😳” I can’t remember anything he might have done after that 😩 Eunwoo went third and was def the most anxious. He stuck his hand in and I can’t remember if he even touched it or not before he freaked and pulled his hand back out 😂 Again that’s really all I can remember from him 😢 Then they had 15 seconds to collude as a team and settle on their answer, and they guessed it right!! Also once the crowd heard what it was they had touched we were all just like “eeeeww oh noooooooo!! DD: ” And then. And then the Extra Bros™ Myungjin start acting like chickens =w=;;;; There were fair amounts of butt wiggling. (MJ started it of course).

So! They guessed right! Which meant if Maknae line couldn’t get theirs then they would have to do a punishment. So. The staff brought out the next item, which was white and round and squishy. Hyung line snuck a peek and they were just standing there poking it 😂😂 And then freaking troll Eunwoo said to the other team “guys be careful! Its moving! Its alive!!!” And Myungjin went along with him on it lmao Maknae line didn’t really know what to make make of them lol

Rocky went first, and he really Did Not want to stick his hand in there - you could just see the classic suffering smile on his face. He definitely yelled several times when touching it (not a scream, but a very Rocky yell haha) Once he was done he seemed to have an idea what it was, and started whispering in Bins ear. Sanha went second and he was… well…. Sanha lol Very squirmy, very screamy. Bin went last (I think, he and Sanha might be switched aaah I’m so sorry), and I don’t really remember Bins reaction while his hand was in the box at all. I do know that he was like full-on squeezing the thing and the MC was losin it at him, and after he took his hand out he sniffed his hand and then licked it =w=;;;;; and all of us were just like Bin no!!!! Then he went back and there was more Moonrock ear whispering.

Once all 3 went they had their 15 seconds to decide, and I didn’t understand what the answer they gave was (it was hard to hear Rocky and the MC didn’t repeat what he said for us) buuuuuuuut it was wrong! The right answer was a ball of mozzarella cheese~~ Hyung line of course started taunting them for losing (mostly led by Jinwoo) and even got the whole crowd involved 😂😂 And thus the losing team was introduced to their punishment: they had to spell their names. With their butts. Sexily. (And I was like you’re going to make the Maknaes do what?????). So Bin went first and he pretty much died of embarrassment one letter in, but he powered through! Rocko was next and he was also internally dying (and externally yelling 😂) but the dancer part of him took over and booooy does he have balance and body control. I’m pretty sure after he was done he ran and hugged Bin to deal with his embarrassment and the crowd LOVED that 😂 Sanha went last and the MC had to torture him!! And make him do his full name!! 😭😭 Of course it was more awkwardly cute than sexy, and him saying the letters as he went was unbearably adorable. (I honestly covered my eyes/turned away to laugh/cringe for most of the punishments =w=)

The next game was guessing the song based on choreo. They split up into teams by randomly selecting colored papers and somehow!! Binu still managed to be a team!! How many times has this happened now????? The other teams were JinHa and RaMyung. They were deciding who should go first and Bin said the “maknae” team should go first (referring to RaMyung) and literally everyone was just like what are you on about????? 😂😂 Fake Maknae MJ strikes again! They r/p/scissored for team order again and I’m like 80% sure Rocko cheated again 👀👀👀 But either way the order ended up as Binu, RaMyung, JinHa. Binu actually did really well!!! with Bin dancing and Eunwoo guessing, but I have to shame Woo for not getting Sistar’s Shake It like boy come on! I think they got 6+ right? RaMyung were…. less successful, but it was honestly more on Rocky??? I think he just like panicked and couldn’t straighten out in his brain what he should actually be doing with his body, then the ones he did actually do the dance to MJ was pretty hit or miss 😂 But they still got a few!! Aaaand then came JinHa… For some reason they decided Sanha should do the dancing, and well…. He passed like every other one, and I don’t think Jinwoo was able to guess a single one 😂 It was just a lot of panic and failure lmaoo So needless to say their team came dead last.

It was decided both losing teams had to do punishment, and that punishment was 40 pushups per team. However the MC said they could divide that any way they wanted, for example Sanha could do 1 and Jinjin 39. JinHa team went first, and Sanha volunteered to do his share first. And the kid got down, wiggled into position, did 1 pushup, and stood back up like “all done!” 😂😂 We got to witness Jinwoo’s legendary ‘possibly contemplating murder rn’ face 😂😂 But then Sanha got back down - and as he was going of course Jinwoo was starting to take his jacket off to prepare for his half but then we reached 20… And 21… And 22… And Sanha kept going all the way to 40! So Jinwoo didn’t have to do anything, and he seemed really pleased :) and was like *shrugs* alright then and put his jacket back on. Mj went first for RaMyung team and bless his heart he did the whole 40 too so Rocky didn’t have to.

The final game was random play dance and there wasn’t much to it really, they just ran through the point parts of 2 other group songs (BTS Dope and Apink No No No). They all did fine for BTS of course, but Binnie KILLED it with Apink lmao to the point where the rest of the members kinda stopped and just let him shine. The final song was one from Dream Part 01 but I cannot for the life of me remember which one it was 😩 I want to say Dream Night or Dreams Come True?? (Watch it be neither akdbsj)

And that was the end of game time! I think they maybe took another quick break, but maybe not idk;;; and then we segwayed into Breathless!

And boy let me tell you, Aroha get PUMPED for Breathless. Confession too tbh, like I don’t remember much from CSC but I definitely remember people just going hardcore with love for these songs haha And I’m pretty sure the boys could feel the passion for them too~ Also during Breathless when Moonrock have their dance bit and then it switches to a rapline dance bit, Jinwoo’s shirt came up a little bit and idk why that suddenly affected me so much but I literally like gasped said “oh my god” out loud 😳

They then moved into the final ment, which worried me at first as I thought maybe we had to skip You & Me due to time or something, but nope they just did the ment first!

Final Ment:

I don’t really remember much of what they said, but I do know Eunwoo said that when he was younger DC was one of the cities he dreamed of visiting, and that it was a beautiful place~ And I think it was MJ(??) who said DC Aroha are the best of the 3 shows so far of course~ 😂😂 Omg and Rocky, when he was in the middle of his ment (I think that’s when this happened anyway aksbaj my awful memory) he just stops like mid-thought and goes “I can’t see” and does the most epic hair flip to get the hair out of his eyes, then just stands there for like 10 seconds basking in his new-found vision. It was so majestic and unexpected I doubled over laughing 😂😂😂 They also said they know it’s hard for us to see them and they were grateful to us for waiting for them, and they would be waiting for us in Korea as well~

For You & Me they first asked if everyone knew the choreo, and enough people said yes that the were like “alright then, show us what you got!” and the music for the chorus played and we all did our darn best to remember the choreo (I failed, I didn’t refresh my memory beforehand and couldn’t remember it well enough =w=;;;) They seemed genuinely impressed by how we did overall though! After that they had Sanha teach us how it goes cutely, and yeah, it’s exactly what you’d expect from that sentence 😂 Once everyone had learned from Captain Sanha and practiced a couple times, they started the song for real! And I already posted about it, but it really is softest, warmest, sweetest experience. To have everyone in the crowd doing choreo and interacting with their neighbors whether they knew them or not it just, i don’t even know how to describe it, it’s just nice?? And lots of people were giggling and smiling, including my right-side partner, which was so fun to turn to each time 💕💕 I definitely got a little emotional during it (but I didn’t cry! Go me!) Edit: Also I forgot but when Jinwoo started to move to the front to do his rap, MJ pushed him out of the way and did it instead! Jinwoo was hyping him up and laughing his butt off 😂😂 And MJ genuinely did really well

 After Y&M they gave their official goodbye and left the stage, and almost immediately the crowd started chanting “encore!” and as expected, after a bit they came back out~

Encore:

Our encore was I’ll Be There and they were throwing out bags of gummy bears. Also for the encore a TON of people rushed the stage, including like everyone to the front and right of me. Soooooooo~ When Jinwoo threw some into our area, there was nobody but me to retrieve it :’) (I maaay have accidentally body slammed the seat in front of me trying to catch it 😅) In my wildest dreams he threw it to me on purpose, but in reality he never actually looked at me so I doubt it (it’s nice to have dreams though 😂) Some people who were up at the stage got some great footage of Jinwoo getting right up into their camera’s business so I look forward to seeing those 👀👀

Once they ran out of candy and the song ended it was officially time for them to say goodbye 😢 They gave their last “Wanna be your ☆” and took a bow, then headed backstage to chill until perks began!

Hi-Touch:

The staff decided to do hi touch first, and since I had both perks it took me a hot minute to realize I needed to get in line too (since I was sitting in P1 and nobody around me was moving lol) The girls I was in line with were very cute and nice - one of them was newer to the boys so she had a hard time telling Myungjin apart haha We tried to help her get them straight~ The line moved really quickly and when it was my turn my brain switched to auto pilot……

Jinwoo was first bc apparently the universe likes to see me Suffer. I don’t even remember what he looked like, all I remember is him seeing my shirt and saying “aaaah, slow~  😉” and all I could get out was a “yes!” 😂😵😵😭😭 Sanha was next in line but my brain was so busy processing the first interaction I have absolutely 0 memory of him, if I even managed to hi five him at all akdbaj like I completely just blacked out for a few seconds. Eunwoo was third and I regained myself enough to actually start looking at their faces, but I still couldn’t make my own sentences, so instead I started parroting what I was hearing from the members which was “thank you” - which is a fine thing to say and I wholly meant it, but I do wish I could have said a bit more… Bin was third and I also Do Not remember him, like, at all 😣 I’m so disappointed, he deserves better. But then came Rocky. There really must be something just inexplicably striking about Rocky, because I remember him pretty damn clearly all things considered! He had his big Rocko smile and it was strikingly beautiful 😪 Finally was MJ and I remember seeing him and thinking “I have to make sure he knows I genuinely love and support him!!” So I looked really hard at his face, but my brain was still *static noises* so all I could say was thank you :“) I tried to really sincerely say it and show him with my eyes that I meant it though!! And then it was over, and I took a big ole breath as I made my way down off the stage and back to my seat. And thus began the waiting for group pic. (The girl I had been sitting next to laughed when I came back 😂😂

The line for P2 was pretty much a free for all, but the line for P1 was specifically done row by row. I was at the back of Orchestra Center, so I wasn’t first by any means but I was probably in the first 1/3. The setup was there were 8 chairs, and the boys stood behind the chairs. They were all doing different poses and switching it up for each pic while I was waiting in line (I’ve been told staff made them stop later on which is dumb af if you ask me like people are supposed??? To pose for pics??? Also have you met Astro aksbaj but ANYWAY).

Jinwoo was last this time, which meant if I wanted to be in front of him I had to be #1 in the group of 8. Well, they counted us, and I was #7. The girl behind me was 8, and her friend ended up being #1 of the next batch. The two clearly wanted to go together, and I wanted the #1 spot, so when staff wasn’t looking we quickly switched! And I got to sit directly in front of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he of course remembered me from when I did the hi touch like ~10 minutes ago lol I made sure to look at all the members again as I was walking up, esp Sanha since I missed him the first time! And again I���ve got Nothing on Bin (rip 😢), but Rocky’s smile seared itself into my psyche yet again 😂 When I finally walked up to Jinwoo I said “I get to sit by you! :DD” and he was like “yeah!” We sat down (god I wish I had actually clearly looked at his face, I have no memory of it from either interaction 😢😢😢) and I kinda tried to do a hand heart with him but he had other plans and was like “let’s do this instead!” (retrospectively I think maybe the girl behind me was also a Jinwoo stan so he wanted to do something with us both). So he LEANED DOWN BETWEEN US SO HIS FACE WAS SEVERAL INCHES FROM OUR EARS and made finger hearts for the first pics, then he said “cheeeeese!” (or it sounded like that to me anyway) and switched to peace signs for the second. I honestly have no idea what my face was doing the whole time soooo the pics could be fun >w>;; (I WAS JUST FOCUSED ON THE FACT I COULD FEEL HIS PRESENCE/BODY HEAT HOVERING OVER MY SHOULDER AND HIS HANDS WERE RIGHT NEXT TO MINE AKSHAJ). And then we were done! And I think I turned and smiled at him one last time as I was heading off the stage, and I think he smiled back, but who knows!! Certainly not me!!!

And that was that.

I went out into the theater hallway and just….existed for a bit (and yelled into all my chats lol) and more than one fan came out hysterically sobbing :( I think it was a mixture of happy and sad tears, like some people overwhelmed with happiness and others crying cuz they didn’t get the place in line they wanted.

All in all it was an amazing night, and completely worth being absolutely nuts and dropping everything to fly literally halfway across the country to attend. 100/10 would give all my money to these boys again (I mean they already own my heart and wallet anyway)

Also I didn’t know where to fit these tidbits in, but the members overall:

Jinjin - I mentioned it already but he was just a goofy happy boy! So many smiles, so many silly actions. I didn’t think I could love him even more and yet :”)

MJ - He sunshined a number of times but overall seemed really tired, which is COMPLETELY understandable (I really feel like he’s an introvert, and I can imagine how draining an international tour would be) and I just hope he’s feeling ok and was able to enjoy himself!! 😣

Rocky - He was also quite lively and just giving fanservice left and right! I didn’t watch him too much but even then I could see him waving and throwing hearts and smiles to people 💕

Eunwoo - I really didn’t watch him at all but I’ve been told he was also giving out just tons of personal fanservice~

Sanha - My favorite son, he just had us all cooing and giggling the whole night. He really did seem to be in good spirits!

Moonbin - I’m sorry Bin stans….. I’m sorry Bin….. I don’t know why my brain just decided to completely block him out but 😢😢😢 I barely remember anything he said/did besides what I already talked about. His muscles were probably too powerful 😣😣

Tripping on LSD on June 27, 2020

1:00 pm bout couple minutes ago I took lsd. Let’s see how it goes

2:00 feeling lightheaded. Feel spaced out right now. Alex and Dani are watching some videos. Interesting things. I’m just vibin in my own listening to we all have dreams.

4:00 pm walking outside, feels like a new experience. Everything around us is new. I’ve been here before, but not at the same time. My fov slider is at max.

4:10 were sitting in the pan handle. Again everything around me feels like a new experience. When I look at the clouds it expands my bubble. The bubble expands more and more. Then I look at

4:50 sitting at public bench project. Things are warpy. Typing this message is soo difficult. Holyyyy it’s not straight. Things areee goin wilds noww

5:40: holy this is hard to type. This is max effect of it. Typing is really warpy. But it’s a different vibe . Fog rolled in and I could see it go in and out.  I can’t even type lul

4:52 am next day

I thought I’d wrap up and take you along the journey from where I am now. To get this off my chest, that whole ~14 hours felt like an eternity. The come up started when I started to walk up Parker. The long hill felt like it could take days to reach the top. By the time we got to the top of the hill, it felt like 10 minutes pass. We decided to go to the Gleason plaza. I noticed the tiles on the ground seem to pop up and I see different colors, that were always there. This point, this would be the shrooms high, where things popped up more visually. The sky felt like it expanded my view. We decided to walk to tank hill. Before the steps to embark on our journey, we notice the layer of hills to our destination. This was cool. We made our way down on Clayton st and made it to a bench in the panhandle. We sat there for a bit and notice the vibrancy of the landscape. Then we decided to continue our journey. As we’ll hike up, sometime along the way, we decided to grab a drink. We thought it would be a smart idea to hydrate ourselves before we embark further. Throughout the series of this, Alex would bring up how he is a mech. I giggled and this would be our way of describing the feeling of ourselves. Continuing to find a store, we stumble upon a public bench project. We pass it and says that’s cool. We went to the the store but there was a line outside. We decided to go to a liquor store down the st for a faster way to grab a beverage. We arrive at the destination, but it looked like it was a bar to order drinks. We laughed at how dumb we were. And we decide to wait in line from the other store. As we pass another liquor store, this store was our destination, but even though we arrived it was just wine inside. We giggled furthermore on how dumb we were. We pull up to the line waiting. I look at the outside and I look at the ground . I was questioning if we were waiting in the right line, as the line says for a hardware. I ask Alex and he’s unsure too. We reluctantly left the queue and just went into the store to buy the beverage. I remember looking at the drinks and people were around. People’s presence was around but I also felt like they were out to get me. But to keep my self collected and calm I didn’t really react. Me and Alex purchase the drink, in which the interaction with the cashier felt really jumbly. I couldn’t process what she had said other than just guesses: we rush out the store and return to the public bench project to chill. Me and Alex we’re talking and I remember I pulled out my phone. I tried typing what I was feeling and the warpy hands were kicking in. My body felt a bit disconnected with myself when I was typing on the keyboard. I felt at unease so I stopped typing. Some conversation was happening and we decided to continue the journey to tank hill. I’m remember waking up and the hallucinations were kicking in. The cars felt wobbly. I remember passing this lady on the walk and she was short. But as we passed her, she became this normal size human. Towards the stairs of tank hill, I felt my body heating up and breathing hard. Alex mentioned how his mech was overheating. We walk up the stairs and we arrived at tank hill. I walk to the open area. I felt like the openness of the area was not like this. Alex told me this was always this open. I went with it and we decided to go to the benches. Sitting on the benches was something else. Alex recorded us and it was windy. The fog was slowly rolling into SF on to the houses we saw. I suggested we go somewhere else than the benches, as I get like I was floating. We just said fuck it and sat on the ground where we took photos with Dennis. Settling down, Alex called rayan. Seeing rayan was weird. Like my perceptions were throwing me off. His face was like the filters of swirling and enlarging the middle of his face. I thought rayan was an Indian dude calling Alex for some tech. Yup I knew myself for being a stereotyping rayan in this. Rayan was also intentionally was being goofy on FaceTime. But I kept second guessing myself if rayan was using filters to make his face look unreal. Rayan also looked like he was in a motion blur on. Then Rayan wanted to let us go or something and he hung up. It was at this point I felt like looking in to the city was the best. I felt like being cemented to where I was at. I felt like I could have been a rock, a grass, dirt, or anything. But I was an entity on top of tank hill just being able to look around. I would let the wind take control of my movements. The winds were very strong up there as well. The best part was looking at the city slowly clear up and you could see across the Bay Area. Then the fog rolled in again and shrouded the city. Witnessing that was pretty cool. After what felt like hours, we decided to go back to the panhandle. We walk down and we saw these skaters going down. We stopped before going down the stairs to watch the skaters. They didn’t do anything so we decided to walk down. We then looked at the skaters again, but I felt weird just looking at them so I told Alex we should continue to walk down. We walk down and I play music. Keep in mind, I was playing music throughout the journey here. We go down to the bottom of tank hill and I said can we just chill here for a bit. I told Alex to queue footie slide or something. He laughed and said the song was called Toosie slide. We then continue to make our way to golden gate park. We decided to take a different route to get back. Going this route felt like a whole new experience. Alex’s dad was calling him. He decided to pick up. I remember saying nihao and when I looked at Alex’s dad’s face, it was a bit distorted. I was like wtf but continue to say hi. We stood there for a bit and Alex ended his call. Then was walked down this road for what felt like hours. Playing music here was enveloping the scene around. Turning on Alex’s noise cancelling was nutty. It felt like I was in a room, but the room consisted of whatever was in my vision. We continue to walk down the hill. As we reach the bottom, we make a comment on how this was the street that we said could have looked like any other neighborhood, unless you look at the hill. We continue to make our way to the golden gate park. Alex was saying he was getting hungry. I too was getting hungry but didn’t crave anything particular. We also came to a decision to go tot the skate park. We went and it only had one person. We watched for a bit and then we decided we should head back. Walking back we went to out old bench to just sit in for a bit. I remember I felt the comedown happening, but not like a lack of serotonin. Just the lack of hallucination, but here I felt just really high. The only hallucination if anything was how more aware of what was in my field of vision. We sat there for a while and then we decided to go back to Gleeson plaza.

Okay it 5:28 pm, but there is literally soooo much more to write. But I think I should continue my thoughts tomorrow. Hopefully I will still have them in mind. But if you stuck it out here I congratulate you on making it far in this chunk of text.

So as I did this post a little early, I didn’t get to catch everyone’s blog following so there may or may not be an update to this post. I am going to start in this paragraph by just doing a rundown reaction to all the cool class blogs I saw. First  All thats interesting  followed by Aapeli, I thought was a bit odd but interesting it sort of had a rabbit hole effect in that you wanted to understand what you were seeing or to actually see more. Second Missy followed the Boston page which also being a fellow Bostonian I think you forget sometimes to really appreciate whats around you and its beauty like train tracks over Chestnut Hill Station, Ive seen a hundred times quickly driving by but really seeing it from this photographers angle makes you think about it differently, so I loved that! Missy also followed Boston City Archives, which I found to be super interesting, you learn so much about the cities history its crazy to see how drastic it has changed since the 19th century and all the documents are in themselves just wicked cool! Next Michele followed Health and Fitness Motivator, which I found the graphics to be perhaps an effective visual that could inspire me to actually work out and make miracles happen. She also followed endless puppies and really who would complain about that lovely dose of cuteness every other day! Next I salute Marc’s interest in SailNavy very noble and an interesting page with what looks like a lot of good information about sailing and the Navy. At number five we have Michael who followed American Great Outdoors which having been to Yellowstone , The Grand Canyon , & The Badlands , I can attest to their beauty and I personally love to learn about them and have a desire to see many more and Yellowstone again because it was maybe some of the best days of my life at least thus far, so great page haha! He then followed Wooden dreams which is a cool page about nature which I think is awesome because nature is awesome so 100 points to you sir haha ! Last one that I thought was cool that Michael followed was This is Why Your Fat and everyone likes food but that is just such a funny but true title that I was like wow haha I have to like this one too good! Then I moved to Zoe’s and I have to say at first I go really excited when I saw Zelda Fitzgerald but although it is not really related to Scott’s wife it is still a pretty good page with great photography as did the other page she followed everything fox which is another awesome name for a blog and a cool invite into foxes!?! Lastly Zoe followed Fashion which is one of my biggest passions , you may not be able to tell by the way I rock sweats and oversize sweaters now days but tis true, I am all about the ever evolving art of dress. Next I looked at Jesper’s followings and I was a fan of both CartoonPolitics and Ifpaintingscouldtext, both are really different, interesting, out of the box, witty, funny and creative! I then moved to Julius who followed smartstockcharts and I thought that was an interesting, different and practical choice. Next up is Michael K. Who like a few others also gushed over puppies because you really can’t go wrong and I appreciated Killarhouses living with an architect and being into different houses which are really a functional art and many of them are really beautiful so that was cool.  Last but not least is Casey who followed the Boston Bruins which is of course a good choice haha and I really like positive advocates because it was bright , colorful, different and sometimes its just nice to have a reminder that you’ve got this so I liked that. And thats a VERY long wrap run down on every ones now Ill briefly, if possible for me, talk about my favs!

So here comes the favorites rundown and hopefully this will be a lot shorter! First my absolute favorite was ifpaintingscouldtext, I just thought that was really humorous and creative its different and it brings a lot of thought and positive energy to it! I also love art so that may be another reason I appreciate that as well! Second was Boston City Archives, because first off I didn’t even know or would have never thought of that as a blog and I just find that wicked cool and interesting, a really great resource to be able to look at some of those documents in a tech public environment ! Third up is Health and Fitness Motivator, I mean the graphics were just so convincing! I wanted to get a smoothie wear Lulu lemon and jump on a treadmill after looking at the posts haha so it could be effective and if nothing else inspirational! American Great Outdoors is another blog I never would have thought to look up but in which I think any one can really find a sense of beauty and value in, they truly are remarkable and I love to learn about them so I thought it was a great pick! Next up is Cartoon Politics which was another out of the box kind of pick but one that is creative, witty and you can in someways learn from it so I thought it was interesting pick! Positive Advocates was another great page I really loved the artsy graphics, the color schemes and the overall joyful positivity which I think is important to see and hear !  SailNavy was another page I wouldn’t have thought of but it is also really interesting and a chunk of history in public domain which is really nice and it also teaches viewers a little about Navy ships which being more into sailing and different kinds of ships I found that to be interesting and then the fact that it has also a personal tie I thought was rather noble. Lastly, Killarhouse I liked because the art of architecture and it's the sort of page I thought about following myself because as I said earlier there really is a beauty to a building and so many dimensions and ways to see it and then of course we also use and live within these spaces of art so its kinda interesting and cool to look at.

It was funny this time around how many people were thinking the same things I was compared to the last class! This time Both Michele , I think Marc and I followed a travel blog. All three of us also followed the same page Music and Quotes , I followed that last class but found it to be a good page and kinda funny that people in this class found it to be as interesting as I did kinda a coincidental moment. Both Marc and I followed Inspirational quote pages which was pretty cool. And lastly soooo many people followed either meme or joking pages Zoe, Julius, Marc, Michael, Casey and I so I guess they are on board with wanting to have the craic ! And thats a finally a wrap guys on blog reactions!

Day 12: Lucerne

Update from last night, since this happened after I made the post: there is what we assume is a hostel cat!! Makes up for the lack of WiFi and power. Saw the cat on our way back from the lounge to our rooms to go to bed last night. It was just dozing away on the rug next to the cow statue in the lobby of the hostel. He/she was soooo sweet and let us pet it even though we woke it up accidentally. Back to today - long post ahead, we did a LOT with our full day in Lucerne.

Woke up at 9:00 for the hostel's free breakfast, since their breakfast ends at 9:30 instead of 10:00, which is when all the other hostels' breakfasts have ended. They had a pretty generous spread of food, and I sampled almost all of it. They even had vegetable soup and rice, so I had a very healthy helping of those. I also had a bowl of their homemade muesli (a Swiss-German food), which is a really good combination of food that I had never thought of before. It's strawberry yogurt, oatmeal, and chunks of fruit (blueberries and strawberries, in this case). Deeeelicious. I also had a bowl of regular yogurt, two orange slices, an apple slice, a glass of orange juice, two slices of ham, and part of a slice of swiss cheese. It was a thick slice of cheese, not the thin ones we usually have in the US. Apriet finished the rest of my cheese, since I wasn't a huge fan. Apriet had toast with salami and cheese, toast with butter, orange juice, rice, and yogurt. I definitely ate enough to be able to skip lunch, which we pretty much did unless you count chocolate as lunch, but I'll get to that. After breakfast, we tried to get WiFi so we could look up which bus stop to get off at in order to go to the Glacier Garden. However, the WiFi seemed to be out, even in the lobby where it normally works, so we decided to just go and figure it out. We got off the bus and made a short walk to the Lion Monument, which is a sculpture of a dying lion who has an extremely distressed look on its face. It was sculpted in 1820 by Lukas Ahorn to commemorate the Swiss Guards massacred in the 1792 French Revolution. Mark Twain said it was the most moving piece of rock in history, or something like that. You'll see it in the pictures. We both wanted to go pet it and comfort it, but it sits on a cliff that is located on the far side of a pond, so nobody could get to it. In addition to its terribly sad expression, the lion also reminded me of all the other animals in the world that are dying or have died at the hands of humans, be it from poaching or hunting, and that just added on a whole other level of sadness. ...Anyway, we wanted to get access to the glacier garden, because once we had a ticket, we would be able to explore the natural monument, the glacier museum, geoworld lucerne, the Amrein house, the observation tower, and Alhambra mirror maze. Tickets were 15 francs per adult, and the first time we went to the window to try and purchase a ticket, the lady thought we wanted to go to the 3D panorama of Lucerne for some reason, so she told us to go to another window that was a minute away. We thought she was saying that's where all the stuff we wanted to do was, so we tried to find it. We never did find it, but in our attempt to get back to that window, we went up a ton of stairs that led to a path through a quiet and pristine Lucerne neighborhood. We went on a pretty long stroll, but we eventually looped back around to the glacier garden, and actually purchased the tickets this time.

First up is the natural monument, a preserved area where glaciers stood during the Ice Age. The monument was uncovered by chance in 1872 when Josef Wilhelm Amrein-Troller was doing building work on a wine cellar at the site. The glacial polish, glacial potholes, and boulders found at the site prove that Switzerland was covered by glaciers during the Ice Age. Some of the potholes were gigantic, almost cave-like, and they are caused by the erosion of sand and gravel at the bottom of a glacier when the glacier's melt water seeps into the glacier through fissures. Under high pressure, the water at the bottom of the glacier forms vortices that erode the rock. Pretty wicked, no? I had fun exploring all the exhibits in the museum, reading almost everything I could. I followed along with the guide we were given when we purchased tickets, because the exhibits are numbered and you can go through and read all about the subject matter both on the guide and on the exhibit itself. Museums are so much fun. Today I learned that woolly mammoths have six sets of teeth! And because they spend so much of their life eating and chewing their food, they wear their teeth down very quickly. When one set of teeth gets worn down too much, another set moves up to take its place. And when a mammoth runs out of teeth, it can no longer eat, so it starves to death. That's why mammoths typically don't live to be more than 60 years old. Isn't that fascinating? There was also a lot of sciencey stuff in the museum about ice, snow, water, glaciers, and crystals. Pretty rad stuff. The Amrein House was where the Amrein-Troller family lived, and it was full of Renaissance furniture and Swiss historical motifs. It was built in 1874, and it was very cool to get a sneak peak into how people lived in Switzerland during the 19th century. All the furniture was super fancy, and they even had a display of models of typical old Swiss houses. They also had a room full of the different types of rocks and minerals that can be found in the Swiss Alps. After the Amrein house came the observation tower. The path up to the observation tower was as enjoyable as the tower itself. They labeled all the different types of plants you could see on the way up to the tower, and I absolutely loved it. They also had a model of a glacial mill that illustrated an old theory of how potholes are formed. There was a diorama of an old mountain hut, and an arched stone tunnel. At the top of the observation tower was a glorious view over the city of Lucerne. My favorite thing about Lucerne is that you pretty much have a solid view of the Alps from wherever you are. You can even see them in the distance towering over everything when you're standing on the city streets! It's pretty wild. After the tower, we came to the mirror maze. It was suuuuper trippy. At first I kept almost running into the mirrors because it's very hard to tell when the mirrors are reflecting back space that it looks like you can occupy. Psych. After I got the hang of it, it wasn't too hard to find my way to the exit. At the end, there's a room with four mirror-related interactive exhibits. One was just two pieces of taut string, reflected by two mirrors at a 90 degree angle, creating a triangle. When you pulled one of the mirrors closer together, narrowing the angle, the shape made from the reflection of the strings would change to a square, then a hexagon, then an octagon, and so forth. Whew, that was a lot. Apriet was hungry after leaving the Glacier Garden, and when in Switzerland... where else did we go but a Swiss chocolatier? Their truffles were super fancy, and they also had numerous other types of chocolate for sale. I considered getting a set of 5 swiss chocolate bars (3 milk chocoolate, 1 with hazelnuts, and 1 with raisins) for 8.40 francs, but it was a lot of chocolate, and I figured it would melt in the heat anyway, so I just opted for some truffles that I could finish the same day. Apriet got a single hazelnut truffle, and then we shared another bag of 8 truffles for $13.39. I had three and Apriet had five. They were all delicious, of course. You can't go wrong with Swiss chocolate, let me tell ya. All of mine were dark chocolate with different types of ganache inside. My mouth is still watering. After the chocolate store, we went to a castle tower lookout area. It was a series of nine connected towers, but only three of the towers are open to the public. It was free to go in, so we climbed the very steep stairs up to the top of the first tower to soak in more views of the city. We then walked across a rampart that was halfway up the tower in order to get to the clock tower. It was super cool to see the pendulum swinging back and forth, and the machinery that moved the hands of the clock as we climbed the tower. At the top we saw the bell, but we didn't get to see it ring since we weren't there on the hour. We made our way to the third tower and descended the stairs to the bottom. We walked along a gravel road surrounded by wildflowers, with the rooftops of Lucerne to our right, and a castle wall to our left. It felt very European. After that, we just sat on a bench by the river and watched the pigeons for a good 15 minutes. I never tire of watching birds. Their feathers are so beautiful, and the way they move turn their heads all jerkily is pretty entertaining. I also think it's fascinating that they have a top and a bottom eyelid, so watching them blink is also entertaining. We decided to go to the lake after that short break, so we made our way to a covered bridge - different than the one we crossed yesterday. This one had a souvenir store, and we bought some souvenirs. Apriet says she spent too much, but we're only going to be in Switzerland once, right? We wanted to get at least one thing from each country we visited, but we’ve already messed up because neither of us got anything from France. Oh well, we had a puppy. When we got to the lake, we decided to see how much the paddle boats cost. We agreed that if it was 20 francs or less, we would get one, since that would really only be 10 francs per person. It turned out to be 25 because it was a weekend, but we did it anyway for a half hour. Folks, we were paddle boating on Lake Lucerne among the swans, with the city all around us and the Alps in the distance. Literally couldn't have been any more peaceful or serene. We made it back in time to not get charged extra. When we paid for the boat, we had to make a 20 franc deposit, and it scared us into not returning the boat late, because there was a chance they'd just keep the deposit if we returned late. After getting off the lake, we found a restaurant in the train station that had take out, since it had been a long day and we wanted to get back to the hostel. The restaurant was self-serve - you just grab a take-out box and fill it with anything you want, then you weigh it and pay. They had all kinds of food from all over the world - pasta, eggs, seaweed salad, kimchi, quinoa salad, lentil salad, curry, carrots, bread, peas, cheesecake, mousse, you name it. We each got a box for 10 francs each, then took the bus back to the hostel where we ate our food. Tomorrow we leave Lucerne for Munich, Germany!

Good times were had by all today. :)

Greyhounds, Goon and G'days

For the past six weeks I've been making my way down the east coast of Australia on the good old Greyhound bus. The journeys have been looooong, like very long, like up to 15 hours each time! To save money on accommodation, I've been pulling the oldest trick in the 'How To Save Money As A Traveller' book and done them all through the night. Unlike New Zealand, most places are so far away in Aus and when you look outside the window on any stretch of the coast, there really isn't much to look at but when you reach your destination you begin to realise why soooo many people choose to visit this country. I flew to Brisbane first and caught up with a few friends including one I met in America and the other I'd met in Hebden Bridge UK back in July. She kindly put me up for a few days and it was an amazing start to my adventure in Australia. I got to experience the buzzing atmosphere, the amazing shops (Tree Of Life being my personal favourite Australian chain) and the free, city hopper ferry. I would definitely recommend South Bank as being the best attraction of the centre. Finally we had a trip to the beautiful Sunshine Coast and I learnt that a Blue Bottle in Australia is not the insect we know it as back home but a stinging jelly fish, which viciously wraps its tail around you before stinging! Luckily I managed to dodge them but equally wasn’t impressed by the sand crabs lurking around you whilst you sunbathed! I suppose the wildlife is what you have to put up with in Australia in general and amongst its coastal line. I then flew to Cairns and although I didn’t make much of the boozy, British cultured town itself, I still got to experience the Great Barrier Reef, which genuinely amazed me. A side note to Cairns.... if you are 25 and over try not to be tempted to stay at Gilligans you will feel old! Anyway back to the Reef! A lot of travellers on the trip decided to dive but I just chose to snorkel and Im really glad I did because when swimming in the reef, you look down and like looking through a window you literally see right to the bottom of the ocean floor anyway and all the wonderful fish and colourful choral. When snorkelling you can float along on a noodle and just chill out and its cheaper! On top of that I was lucky enough to swim with four big turtles and a barracuda fish, which at first glance I thought was a shark and its safe to say I was very relieved to find it wasn’t! I tried swimming with reef sharks in Fiji and it really wasn’t my thing lol Next stop and 14 hours later was Airlie beach. A pretty coastal town, which was much more atmospheric and picturesque than Cairns. I met a lot of lovely people in the hostel and on the first day we spent some time relaxing by the lagoon. A lot of northern Queensland coastal towns tend to have lagoons, free to use, which sit right in the centre. In my opinion it is very necessary for the towns to have them as the temperature far north can be stifling hot and very humid! A few days later I went on a two day one night boat trip to the amazing Whitsundays. Ok so ill Start with the positives..... I couldn’t recommend a trip to Whitehaven beach enough. It was literally the most beautiful beach I have ever witnessed and looking down from the view point and taking that memorable picture of the swirling turquoise and white gold, it almost didn’t seem real. Whitehaven without a doubt was the best thing about the trip. The first day was filled with snorkelling, eating nice food and meeting other travellers, which was also a very lovely day.... but then came the night. If you are like me and don’t tend to research before a trip i.e. typing questions into google like 'what is it like to sleep on an adventure boat?' most of the time you will get away with it but sometimes it bites you on the ass! All night I felt like I was been cradled by a grizzly bare with so much strength you would think the boat was going to flip upside down at some points! Constant rocking side to side, which made me and some others feel like we were in a nightmare! So the point im trying to make is.... seasickness? Stick to a day trip! DO NOT sleep over! Up next was another main attraction of the east coast, Fraser Island. Fraser I have to say was so much fun and better than I expected! You and your selected group set out from Rainbow beach in a big 4 by 4 and get a ferry over to the island. Fraser is made entirely of sand so quite casually you spend your time there driving on it to get to each of the islands attractions. What I loved about Fraser was swimming in the lakes made entirely of spring water. The intense blue colours of them reminded me of the lakes I saw in New Zealand, except in Australia, the water is much warmer! The lazy river being one of my favs! You get to visit an old abandoned ship wreck and hike to the most beautiful view points. For three whole days I felt like I was part of a lovely family and with no signal on our phones, everyone just got to know each other so well and its safe to say a lot of drinking went down as each of the nights commenced! #goon The last part of my trip was spent visiting friends over the Christmas period. Stopping briefly in the hippy area of Byron Bay but mainly staying in Coogee Bay Sydney. Christmas day in Sydney was an unforgettable experience. It felt so wonderful but incredibly surreal. After being amazed by the cities attractions including the opera house, the bridge and the rocks etc and having Christmas dinner in Hard Rock Cafe, me and my friends made our way back to Coogee. Getting off the bus I was amazed to see the swarm of people covering the beach wearing bikinis and Santa hats, drinking their bags of goon and getting high. It was so weird to think of cold Britain and although I enjoyed my Aussy Christmas I wouldn’t change the way i normally experience it. After a week of visiting the beautiful beaches between Coogee and Bondi, visiting Manley, which I highly recommend and camping out NYE at 3pm for eight hours to see the spectacular fireworks right in the centre, i got on the greyhound and 14 hours later arrived at my last stop in Aus, Melbourne. A lot of travellers along the way have expressed their love of the city and I really understand why. There really isn’t a huge landmark like the opera house in Sydney but the unique, quirky atmosphere of Melbourne is something Sydney definitely doesn’t have. I just loved walking around and seeing how much choice there was for food and GOOD coffee. The side streets full of street art, which is constantly getting updated. At night I walked along the bridge to witness the colourful skyline and talented musicians busking on every street corner. The overall look and vibe to the city is something you definitely have to experience. One of my favourite spots in Aus by far and spent with a very good friend of mine to 😊 I also took a trip to St Kilda beach, which is a gorgeous spot in Melbourne that I highly recommend. Overall my six weeks in Australia, travelling completely independently has been a brilliant growing experience. There’s been a mixed bag of emotions, some sad but defiantly most of the time happy ones. The reason for this is when you get to the three month mark of travelling, you start to feel physically exhausted and the fact you are in such a hot climate doesn’t help. Moving around all the time carrying your heavy backpack and sleeping in bunk beds really does take its toll. With all that said, even though I would love the comfort of home sometimes, I would never trade this amazing experience. There is never a dull enough moment to make me want to go home as I know that moving around all the time means that no situation stays the same. I have had some days where I've been lonely and down but the next I've met people and had such a laugh. Its very important to not give up and to stick with it as the reward of travelling is seeing some of the most beautiful sights of the world and meeting people you would never normally have the chance of meeting. My time in Australia has also been a long chunk of my overall trip so including all of my experiences in this blog has been very tricky. So finally below I've listed the main things I've learnt about Aus! Enjoy and thanks for reading xxx Things I've learnt about Australia.... Don’t wear your hair in French plats! When travelling in hot heat, all you want to do is have your long hair out of your face. If you're planning on platting it like i did, make sure you put sun cream on your scalp! Yes I burnt all of my scalp sunbathing on the beach. Be careful! Be aware of hostel plugs! This is more a one off experience (and nothing to do with Aus) as I plugged my hairdryer into a plug in a hostel and got electricuted! I had to go in the back of an ambulance so they could take my heart rate etc. Not the way you want to start your night out! And its safe to say it didn’t do much for my travelling alone confidence. All was fine! So don't worry I'm ok! There is no shade on the Eastern beaches! When we go on holiday to Europe, its normal for us to hire out an umbrella and bed to protect ourselves from the harsh rays. But on probably one of the hottest coastal lines in the world... NOPE don’t expect to find them. In my opinion, I think its crazy and isn’t going to favour the countries skin cancer statistics. Everywhere I go in Aus, all I see is skin cancer clinics but the beaches arnt shaded??? Go figure 😂 There is never too much sun cream! Make sure you put a good amount on every morning and top up during the day. Its Australia, you will get burnt. Aus = LA! iv noticed that the Aussies are just as health conscious as LA people. There are so many health kick juice bars and breakfast places that sell muesli and acai bowls. If you are a health freak you certainly wouldn’t have a problem finding somewhere to eat here! Goon is the way to go! Its safe to say that Australia is one of the most expensive places to drink, except good old goon! A boxed wine which tastes like gone off apple juice but will get you very drunk is priced as little as 13 dollars! Aus has amazing wildlife! I stayed with a friend in countryside Victoria and was lucky enough to witness a field filled with kangaroos at sunset. It was a lovely moment. I also held a koala in one of those wild life places, which was also lovely but I only got to hold it for a millisecond just to get the picture as there was a queue of 20 odd tourists behind me waiting to take the same picture! Australia is only just over 220 years old! Yeh didn’t know that! Stay clear of Australian men! The ones iv met have been total freaks and I have come to the conclusion that the chat up lines are too vulgar to put on here! To sum it up, you could say that in terms of culture, the Australian east coast is a lot like Britain in the sun. There are probably more poms in Aus than Australians them selves. But the fact that you can drink from the streams and experience all the other wonderful things I’ve mentioned in this blog have always reminded me that I am most definitely on the other side of the world.
