First, they discontinue super sons issues, bringing it back for a Halloween special edition and then ghost.

Then, they have Jon age up and date immediately in time for pride, no warning.

Then, he’s Superman.

Then, we get a super sons movie where he’s 10 again (?)

Then, they have Jon and Dick team up as a protege-mentee situation—not bad! Just…not quite the character we’ve just established. Not quite Jon

Then, they have Jon and Damian babysitting wonder woman’s daughter for *checks books* 7 years????? Making Damian and Jon 21 and 24 respectively??? Ok…?

Then, they do Beastworld, and Nightwing comics, AND Superman comics AND Wonder Woman issues with Jon in ALL OF THEM at the SAME TIME and looking vastly different in all of them, with vastly different characterizations, none of them solid, consistent, or acknowledging the fact that he’s been trapped inside a volcano and travelling the multiverse and having a boyfriend all in the same breath.

What am I supposed to be believing right now, DC.

Listen, I'm so used to reboots and sequels and prequels ruining things I love, but now? Now I'm FINALLY getting what I want from one and I am going to enjoy every fucking second of it. that one youtube video about the sonic bible has literally done irreparable damage to the way the average internet user thinks about sonic. they all think the sonic bible is actually canon to the sonic lore when it isnt and every time a sonic post gets a bunch of notes outside of sonic fandom circles people who dont know what theyre talking about bring it up and it drives me insane

Ok I rambled so under the cut is my little chat

Tbh I rarely look at what creators post cuz its all old(and on deviant art which I don’t use) BUT I LOVE THIS I HAD NO IDEA SHE WAS UPDATED AT ALL I THOUGHT SHE EAS DROPPED. . I love it. not that murder is ok for the most part … but this is affirming my brain…….

my entire creepypasta au thingy or whatever kinda just redirects most of them into like, vigilantes, trying to keep peace, some aren’t even killers, some have a body count of like 2 max +++ not even slender is trying to just go around killing everyone for funsies . Jeff totally still kills for funsies tho I can’t take that from him. But now clocky… VIGILANTEEEE 💪💪

I never liked everyone being sadistic and going on killing sprees. Makes no sense for half their backstories/motivations, So tbh being able to throw clockwork into the vigilante category when actually analyzing her backstory AND IT BE CANONNNNN so real and true. It helps make it easier to separate said motivations between each character too, so they’re all just a little more complicated and I have more to think about. And I esp think my girls need more complexity cuz ppl wanna sweep them all under the “Mary sue” rug and I am TIIIIREEEEDDD of my gf clocky getting shit on for the same shit jeff is loved for 💔 also I def love the little note of her trying to get past using killing as a coping mechanism cuz ykw? I don’t think a therapist would recommend . And it would make for real good fics/comics lol

Also it’s just nice to watch people reflect on old tropes and adjust them as time goes on. I’m obv super attached and nostalgic for most things 2015 tho LOL

But like most people here I don’t really actually focus on canon details, I just run with the rough concept and design of the character for the most part (but love people who completely revamp stories and designs for fun it’s super cool). But this is smth I will be indulging in……

I hope this wasn’t too much of a pointless ramble… half of this wasn’t even about clockwork it was just me talking about my thoughts on the general fandom and characterizations LMFAOAOOA

Random Vil and Rook headcannons!

Vil is an animal person, he probably would enjoy owning a reptile to just kinda hang with, but if he could have all the time and energy, he would love a bird. But he knows they’re like toddlers for their entire lives.

Rook is an exotic lover, and would work at or even own a sanctuary. He loves deer the most because of how graceful they are.

Once a month, all of Pomfoire has a cheat day. Vil would love to partake but he’s such a perfectionist he still holds himself fairly high. He stares longingly at Epel’s apple pie every time.

Rook used to be apart of the Mountain Lovers Club, but after his first year he changed to Science club. He wishes he had enough time to do both.

Vil and his dad are SUPER close, a lot like Deuce and his mom or even Silver and Lilia to be honest. They talk almost every night, and both would kill for the other.

Rook has a big family, and kinda hates it. He loves his family as individuals, but everyone is highly competitive, and tend to have their masks on when in groups. He is closest with his elder sister Queenie.

When Vil was a kid, he would get stress migraines, so now he’s fairly strong about self care (especially after VDC, he realizes he kinda slipped then)

Rook loves photography because nature is always changing, and he wants to save every small moment. (Also his grandma probably was a big scrapbooker)

Vil’s dad fought hard to keep Vil out of the limelight until he was ten. Mainly cause Vil started to absolutely BEG to do movies like his dad.

Rook is secretly scared of the dark, but he always Carrie’s his bow and arrows so he feels prepared atleast

Vil used to have super long hair, like Jamil length, but it got caught during potions and he sobbed having to cut it short.

Rook also had long hair but viewed cutting it as a fresh start. He’s been trying ti keep up with its care since then and is quite proud of it now!
