Maria was another attendee whose look disappointed me. While she usually is one of my favorites, this look was just underwhelming. I liked the off the shoulder detail of the dress, but the rest of the look just fell flat. The dress was so simple, and then the accessories really just felt random. I didn’t think the bag or the shoes looked great with the dress. I just have higher expectations for Maria.

i think it’s rly interesting how any media of the last 3 yrs that takes place in the modern day has approached the question of whether or not the pandemic happened in universe. discounting stuff that started production before 2020 a majority of works just dont acknowledge it at all, which makes sense because it would fundamentally change the story theyre trying to tell if the characters cant go out in public or be near each other unmasked lmao
but the pandemic has changed society & culture across the entire world almost instantaneously. midshelf romantic comedies on netflix have to allude to the deaths of millions of people like haha yeah so that happened
