Feliz cumple John Ronald Reuel. Era 1983 y yo tenia dieciséis años, ya trabajaba fregando platos, había dejado los estudios de metalurgia, si, metalurgia, no veía posibilidad de estudiar algo relacionado con el dibujo, la escola Massana no estaba a mi alcance y tampoco tenia a nadie cercano que me orientara en ese sentido, yo solo conocía la Massana, éramos una familia muy pobre de emigrantes andaluces y las cosas no nos iban demasiado bien, así que cogí el primer trabajo que me salió. Durante un corto periodo de tiempo estuvimos suscritos a Circulo de lectores, esa empresa ya desaparecida que te servía libros a domicilio pedidos a través de su catálogo. El primer libro que pedí fue El Señor de los anillos, un tocho de mas de mil páginas con letra minúscula que contenía toda la trilogía. Ya había leído a Poe, Lovecraft, Kafka, Stevenson, Rimbaud, Baudelaire y un largo etc, pero no he vuelto a tener una sensación tan intensa de estar fuera de esta realidad que leyendo el Señor de los anillos en aquel momento, salía de trabajar a las 12 de la noche y me metía sesiones de 100 o 150 paginas antes de dormirme, me sumergía, totalmente en la historia, no quería que se acabara nunca, de hecho leí la última página y lo comencé de nuevo. Luego cambias, maduras, te gustan otras cosas, pero el afecto a la historia y el agradecimiento a su autor permanece.

#LOTR - 528 Merry Brandybuck - 529 Treebeard - 530 Pippin Took Bárbol es un Ent que aparece en El Señor de los Anillos de J.R.R. #Tolkien. Es el líder de los Ents y vive en el bosque de Fangorn. Es un pastor de árboles, y al ser el líder de los Ents, él es quien convoca la Cámara de los ents o el Ent-cuentro. Es el Ent más viejo de todos, y el nombre del bosque de Fangorn viene del suyo, y significa el bosque de Bárbol. Tuvo un papel muy importante en Las Dos Torres, ya que al ver la destrucción de una parte del bosque causada por Saruman y sus Orcos, lideró la Última Marcha de los Ents junto con Merry y Pippin, destruyendo Isengard y a todos sus Orcos. #Barbol y los demás Ents dominaron Isengard con la caída del malvado mago Saruman. Allí él está hablando con Galadriel y con Celeborn antes de que Pippin y Merry se fueran de su lado.
