Just in case my fellow lotr fans didn't know, there's 2 wild orcas in Iceland called Boromir and Faramir, and since they are often seen travelling closely together its possible they're brothers
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boromir
Tumblr media
Faramir
Its worth mentioning there's also orcas called ulmo, angmar and aragorn that are seen around Iceland (idk if they were named because of lotr but theyre still technically lotr names so I'm counting it)

Okay here to talk Eowyn and how the slights and disrespect she gets are more annoying than listening to Gollum talk to himself all day...
People who act like Aragorn dislikes/disdains her just because he doesn't return her romantic feelings are living in that incel mindset that women can only be admired as matrons or sexual objects. Aragorn the king of wholesome masculinity admires the heck out of Eowyn. Refers to her as the fairest thing in Rohan. He values her friendship and her place as a fundamental bullwark of her people.
People who act like she's somehow pathetic because she falls for someone who doesn't return her affection are not living in reality. They're lost in some Hollywood/porn centric view of romance where women are always sexually desired and if they aren't well then something is wrong with them. Faramir very clearly lays out what happened. She who had been treated rather like a utility in her household meets the last and greatest of the men of Numenor. Truly a man above all others. And of course she's bedazzled. Then there's the fact that he seems to truly see her (albeit on his side just platonic admiration and desire for friendship) and she matters and of course for someone who has been sidelined to tending to her aging uncle this draws her in. There's no fault on Aragorn but as any girl whose femininity and/or personhood has gone largely ignored will tell you it can be quite heady when someone actually notices you as a whole person, femininity included.
And finally her moment with the Witch-King being stolen from her like she did nothing. Ignores all these facts
1. Merry wouldn't have been there to stab him if not for her
2. It's very clearly a dual credit thing both in the passage and in the appendix footnotes
3. Nothing explicitly says that without Merry and his barrow-blade that she couldn't kill the witch-king. She's not a man while Merry is not a Man. The whole thing was based off of an elven prophecy which prophecies seldom are straightforward in their wording and don't even always come true (ask Treebeard) so there's nothing conclusive to say that her jamming a sword in his face wouldn't have done the trick with or without Merry. His role is certainly important because if nothing else prophecy or no he did distract the Witch-King with his blow allowing Eowyn to press an advantage but absolutely nothing there discredits her accomplishment in slaying the Witch-King of Angmar and people trying to act like Merry "made it easy for her" need to shove a barrow-blade where the sun don't shine
Small note here too. People who want to criticize her cooking are wrong in multiple aspects.
A. That's only in the films and a deleted scene at that.
B. It's sexist as hell to base a woman's merit off of her cooking skills. You go hamstring an oliphant and make a souffle then anonymous dudebro hating on Eowyn
C. If you think Eowyn's only accomplishments are "masculine" she does have a great talent with "feminine arts" as in she's a healer and gardener in Ithilien and by virtue of her spouse she's a freaking princess given Faramir is the Prince of Ithilien
So in conclusion if you want to diss Eowyn for any of the above mentioned off base arguments you can kiss Gollum's scrawny arse

Where do the Nazgul live?
Tumblr media
The tower is big enough that every Nazgul gets their own floor.
Sauron has several floors at the very top of the tower, mostly occupied by his study and various libraries. These floors notably lack bedrooms, as Sauron has no reason to sleep. Aside from the fact Sauron is literally the top dog and thus should live at the top, he also inhabits this space because the heat he tends to produce would make any floor above his inhospitable.
Angmar occupies the floor directly beneath his master so he can be as physically close to him as possible. This floor actually used to belong to Khamul, but when Angmar moved in he moved Khamul's stuff to the floor beneath his. (He did not ask) Khamul occupies the floor beneath Angmar's, because it was easier to just inhabit that floor instead of fighting with Angmar for control of the highest room. This was still back when he was trying to get Angmar to like him, you see, so by the time they settled properly into their hatred for each other, it was too late to try to lay claim to his previous space. Oh well, it is not THAT far from his lord's studies. Only an extra few stairs to climb if he wants to assist with paperwork.
Adunaphel occupies the floor beneath Khamul's, and the floor above Akhorahil's. This makes her space a lovely area for the three to get together and have fun playing games.
Akhorahil occupies the floor beneath Adunaphel's. This gives her good access to Adunaphel and Khamul, as well as good access to Uvatha's floor. Since Uvatha has all but vacated his floor in favor of the stables, Akhorahil's stuff has begun to encroach upon his space. He hasn't said anything about it yet, so either he doesn't mind or he has not noticed.
Uvatha has a unique floor, in that despite being close to the middle of the tower, he has his own little exit his boss made specifically for him. Isn't that nice? It lets him walk freely to the horse stables on the backside of the tower, which is where he spends most of his time. Maybe this is why he hasn't noticed Akhorahil's stuff has invaded his space?
Dwar has the largest section of the tower aside from Sauron, having several floors with few windows because he needs plenty of space for all of his dogs. No they can't sleep outside, that's mean.
Hoarmurath occupies the floor beneath Dwar, since she doesn't mind the noise. She picked this floor because Mordor is a nightmare of heat, so somewhere in the middle of the tower is actually where the air is the coldest (The volcanic fissures make the ground floors hot, Sauron keeps the top floors hot). This floor would later be shared with Isildur in the Third Age, and would become Isildur's alone in the Fourth Age.
Indur owns the 2nd to lowest form on a technical level. Yes, this floor is his. No, he doesn't tend to sleep here or really do anything here. Indur spends most of his time on Angmar's floor, following Angmar around.
Ren occupies the lowest floor, because making an old man climb up all those stairs is downright torture. Ren's floor also houses several common areas, including the kitchens and the armory. He enjoys the company these common areas attract.

We know Frodo stays abed and his wound bothers him on the anniversary of his encounter with the witch-king at Weathertop so I wonder if Eowyn and Merry both get melancholy and have numb arms and have to lay abed on the anniversary of The Battle of Pelennor Fields?
Also that must be a super bummer because while in the Shire there's probably not much to-do over the anniversary; in Gondor I'm sure it's probably a big deal and everyone would probably expect Eowyn to appear in public as both a hero of the day and wife of one of the great lords of Gondor but instead she's got depression and a numb arm... Which, to be fair knowing Faramir he probably stays home with her rather than attending the festivities. I'm sure Aragorn understands and is more than happy to allow his absence.

@minubell may remember that we had this chat like…damn 2 years ago, ok you might not remember, but yes we had this chat how they told me that their Khamul does not wear pants.
And I was like "yeah that could be some funny comic" and here it is after an ungodly time.
Has a slight dub-con aura but it ends as a comedy so ahh, just ignore this if thats not your thing.
