Destructive Emotions || Han Jisung
Author: Jade Taylor Group: Stray Kids Member: Han Jisung Type: Fluff, some angst Words: 1,632 POV: 1st A/N: I hope the spacing on this one turns out right! Fingers crossed! +++      I was sitting in the crowded cafeteria at school, alone at my table anxiously waiting for my friends to arrive. I was pretty much a loner, due to an unwanted ability of mine, before nine boys transferred to my school a few months back. Sometime before they arrived to the school, other students found out that they were trainees at JYP Entertainment, this made girls and guys alike eager to be their friends. I, on the other hand, just kept to myself, not wanting to get involved with the drama, but maybe that's why they singled me out... Maybe because I was the only person who didn't make a fool of myself trying to grab their attention, that's what captured it...      The nine boys wanted me as their friend, and they wouldn't take no for an answer. I just agreed with them back months ago and that's how I found myself here waiting for Chan, Felix, Hyunjin, Minho, Woojin, Seungmin, I.N, Changbin and Han. I was glad I had given them a chance because I was close with them all now, they were like brothers to me... Well, except for Han. I had a crush on him, one that developed after a few weeks of his charm.      Sitting at the table alone, I couldn't help but think of his smile and how sweet he was to me. Whenever the rude girls in my class made me feel ugly and worthless, he'd remind me I was beautiful and priceless... But, slowly I was drawn out of my thoughts realizing that lunch was drawing to an end, and the boys had never been late before... I decided to pull out my phone to ask where they were. To: Han Hey you guys aren't coming to lunch today? Is everything alright? -Skylar To: Skylar Can't make it. We're a bit busy with something and had to skip. -Han To:  Han Oh, okay. That's fine. Will I see you guys after school? -Skylar      I released a sigh as the grey tick turned blue signalling he read my last message, but as I waited, I received no reply. Suddenly my heart felt like a rock. I knew he was lying to me, I don't know how, but I just knew. He never spoke to me in short like that, over text, or in person. He just didn't, and this realization had me wondering if maybe they got tired of defending me. Maybe they got tired of lifting my spirits when others got me down, maybe they got tired of when I was hurt the destruction it caused...      I felt tears brimming in my eyes and the ground began to fall out from underneath me, literally...      I leaned backwards on the table's bench, falling off of it and on my ass. When my palms met the floor, I crawled backwards away from the cracking tile and concrete that was sinking into the ground. 'No, no, no. Stop! See, this is probably why they want nothing to do with you! Who would want to be associated with a girl who's sadness could bring about the end of the world?' I thought to myself before looking around, realizing all eyes were on me. "Well, someone seems upset," I heard a shrill voice come from my left. I turned to face Hana, one of my main bullies, who wore a mocking pout on her cherry red lips, "Did your friends finally realize what a freak you are?"      I shrugged in reply, not really knowing what to say. You could ask me why the earth reacted by falling apart when I was sad, but I wouldn't have an answer. I honestly didn't know, but some people speculated that I was an alien, a demon, or a freak of nature... Maybe they were right. "It's about time," She laughed, "Now they can move on to girls more worth their time." "What, girls like you?" I sneered, looking at her through the loose black waves that fell around my face, "Need I remind you that you've slept with almost every guy in this school?"      She marched over to me, her heels clicking on the floor, and grabbed a fist full of my hair before pulling. I let out a yelp thinking, 'Dammit Skylar, why didn't you just stay quiet? Don't try to be your own hero!' "T-that's not true! Take it back!" Hana wailed. I rolled my eyes at her dramatics. "I mean, I could say 'I take it back,' but that's not gonna change the fact that everyone heard it," I replied, wincing as her grip tightened on my hair. "Oh you little-" She started, pulling harder, but she was interrupted by a familiar voice. "Skylar? What's going on here?" It asked. Hana gasped and released her grip on me, taking multiple steps back. I sent her a quick glare, propping myself up on my elbows, before turning to face Changbin. "Nothing I can't handle," I told him. He rolled his eyes and reached out to help me up.      Once I was on my feet he began pulling me toward the exit of the cafeteria, "Yeah because it looked like you were handling that real well." "I had it under control," I scowled, "Besides, weren't you and the guys busy with something and you couldn't make it to lunch?" "Is that all he could come up with?" Changbin breathed, blinking at me. "So you admit he was lying to me?" I questioned. "Yes, but it was for a good reason," He defended Han, "He needed our help with a surprise for you." "Oh," I awkwardly replied, perking up just a bit. "Yeah, 'Oh,' so next time don't get all worked up when we have to hide a surprise from you," He laughed, ruffling my hair. I smiled slightly, slapping his hands away. "There better not be a next time! I don't wanna go thinking that you guys hate me ever again!" I warned him. "I honestly don't think we could ever hate you," He chuckled, "Especially not Han..." "What makes you say that?" I asked him, curiosity taking over.      He stopped walking in front of the doors to the back courtyard and motioned for me to go through them, "Find out for yourself..."      I turned to the doors in confusion, pushing them open and stepping out into the sunlit area. There was a fountain in the center surrounded by shrubbery and some benches. Han stood in front of the foundation holding a rose and the other boys stood to the right of him lined up and holding a rolled up banner. I was dying in my curiosity now... "We have like fifteen minutes left of the lunch period, so I suggest you move it along," Changbin said, walking past me and joining the others behind the banner. "What's this all about," I directed my attention to Han as I walked to stand in front of him.      He nodded to the boys and I turned to look as they undid the strings holding the banner closed. It rolled down with a loud rustle, revealing words that had my heart racing. Be Mine? -Han      I turned my head so fast I thought I'd get whiplash, and looked into his eyes as he held the rose out for me to take. I gingerly wrapped my fingers around it's stem and brought it to my nose. It's aroma was sweet, making me smile. "I hope you understand now, why we ditched lunch," He smiled at me, "I-I really like you. I... Have for a while now, and I wasn't gonna make a move because I thought you didn't like me that way, but everyone else told me it was obvious that you did. I didn't believe them, but they talked me into this and I hope you'll accept my confession and consider being mine..."      His words came out in one huge rush and once he was finished it was silent... Until I burst into laughter. This earned me a few confused looks from the boys as I couldn't stop myself. I just stood there laughing uncontrollably at how nervous he sounded. Why would he be nervous asking me out? "Oh," Han spoke with a frown, his shoulders slumping, "I see.. This was a mistake, I'm sorry I said anything. Just forget it."      That sobered me up, real quick. "No!" I shouted, just as he was about to pass me and walk into the school. He stopped and looked at me with his shoulder touching mine, "I wasn't laughing because I don't like you."      I grabbed his arm and pulled him back to the place in front of me. "I was laughing because you seemed so nervous," I smiled, "It was cute." "Wait, so you like me back?" He asked, looking excited. "Of course, you dipstick!" I giggled.      Suddenly my giggling was cut of by a pair of soft lips pressing against mine in a sweet kiss. It took me a moment to realize what was going on but when I did, I immediately began kissing him back. I smiled through the kiss at the loud groans of protest the others made. "Oh come on! We're at school!" Minho shouted. "No PDA!" Chan added in. "Cover the maknae's eyes! I repeat, cover the maknae's eyes!" Woojin panicked.      Both Han and I pulled away from the kiss, laughing at the dorks we called friends. I felt like I was soaring as I realized Han was finally mine, and that's when I noticed a flower sprouting out of the ground between our feet. Everyone looked at it in awe mixed with confusion then up at me. Did I do that? "Well, now we know what happens when you're really happy," Hyunjin laughed, making me blush. Well... That's new.
