Fanart of The Underwater Scene from @psychopomp-enthusiast's To Mourn The Living!

What if that "unnamed" expression on MC's face was awe? Surprise? At the tender look he doesn't know he's capable of giving as he takes in the view in front of him. What if he was so caught up in the beauty he saw that he didn't realise his own. What if I went insane. POV characters describing things in too much detail because they're SIMPS my beloved.

I might have spent like 12 hours total on this oh my god what the fuck. Anyway.

Did you know that Photoshop has a gradient feature? And also that Blade has a reference sheet? I didn't until I had to figure out how to draw this

I don't do fanart very often because well what if it's not good enough but nothing will ever be good enough and to be honest I really enjoyed drawing this actually! Look at the crab. MVP tbh

This is also lowkey the first time I've done highlights. I just loooove the way they did Argenti's. Like look at it. Wow! Amazing design. I still think I did it a bit weird (Just don't look at Blade too hard) but I kinda like that MC's highlights are a bit like shooting stars hehe. I think it's cute

I didn't want the swimsuit to be flat colour, so scales again! Also the Xianzhou canonically has native seahorses, so! I just felt like adding that learned fact here

Blade's shirt is very intentionally similar to his usual outfit. In the fanfic it's mentioned that he wears basically the same thing everyday, voluntarily, and TMTL is about respecting his wishes, so (I'm mostly joking).

I feel like I should've made things more reflective to get what Blade was describing, but I'm not sure how else to do that :(
