I love Canon Remus and all of his flaws. Enough of this "Casanova of Gryffindor Tower" BS, Remus is the cowardly lion of Gryffindor tower. He values bravery because it is something that he lacks and yet still strives to be. He has an ingrained sense of shame and self-loathing and an inferiority complex that stems from society's contempt and marginalization towards Lycanthropy, a condition he was cursed with from a very young age. He wasn't a leader, he was a follower. A blind follower who believed to his core that he was unworthy of love and respect because of what he was.
Which opens the door to what I believe to be Remus' greatest flaw: His unwavering, unquestioning devotion to Albus Dumbledore.
I think Remus saw Dumbledore as the perfect encapsulation of Good. He was everything that Remus desperately wanted to be, everything that society was determined to believe a werewolf could never be. And maybe, if Remus could earn (and cling to) Dumbledore's favor and make him proud, he would prove to the world and himself that he is Good, too, in spite of his lifelong curse.
Remus felt that he owed Dumbledore a debt he could never hope to repay for allowing this chronically ill little boy into his school when no werewolf before him had ever been given such an opportunity. So many of Remus' choices in canon stem directly from this imagined debt that he had dedicated his life to paying. Hell, he didn't even hold a grudge against Snape for OUTING HIM to the entire wizarding world simply because Dumbledore trusted him.
Remus trusted Dumbledore wholeheartedly. And Dumbledore personally saw to Harry's placement with the Dursleys. Why should Remus have considered, for even a moment, that Harry wasn't safe? Certainly far safer than he would have been with a monster in close proximity, as Remus believed himself to be. In his mind, staying away from Harry was what was best for Harry. Until Dumbledore needed a favor, that is.
It's reductive to suggest that Remus failed Harry (and by extension, James) for putting his trust in Dumbledore to do right by Harry. James and Sirius trusted Dumbledore, too. They all did. Stripping away all of the nuance and blaming the abuse Harry suffered on Remus is simply unfair. NO ONE helped Harry, not even those who were fully equipped to do so, and Remus was the farthest thing from being equipped to take that on, what with being an impoverished werewolf living in a society that reviles his very existence. The only person who could have saved Harry from the abuse was the very man that placed him in that home, the very man that Remus revered with blind conviction.

What started out as a redraw of a tooka cat from one of the star wars comics because it'd make for a neat emote, became an exercise in battling the Horrors™ through turning some clones into the cutest of space kitty cats.
Oh, and Tooka Rex still became an emote anyway so, win-win!

“Random Clone Headcannons p.2”
We’re back at it again! But also note that there will be another writing coming out very soon- and I think it’s gonna be a long one
Clones x Reader (platonic!)
“P.1 of the Headcannons!”
Tumblr media
•Wolffe has a few suspects of who keeps leaving dog treats around his stuff and in his bunk- butttttt to your amazement he keeps yelling at the domino twins instead of you
• Fox would literally stand up to anyone who’s bothering you (they all would but he would do it in such an unhinged way)
• Alpha 17 is actually surprised with your performance in a training simulation on Kamino whenever you can visit and gives some tips
• To second that, besides a few exceptions Alpha would think that you are a ✨tolerable natbron✨ and one he thinks is cool
• Since the clones have some pretty good immune systems (for the most part) imagine how panicked they’d be if you walked in with the flu or something
• Fives wouldn’t let you even raise a finger if you were sick
•The delta squad has been, for some reason, trusted to watch over you while your master is away- Boss and Fixer take this very seriously
• Sev somehow lit Scorch on fire and you were the one to put it out while the rest ran around like babies for help
• If you liked another padawan (maybe like Ahsoka like me *cough cough 🏳️‍🌈) Hardcase and Jesse would be ALL over that and definitely could figure it out very quickly, I mean it’s only frowned upon if you get caught so…..
• Laying on top of the Marauder with the bad batch and Omega is snuggled by your arm while you watch a meteor shower
•Tech was pushed off by Crosshair for trying to educate everyone
• You took Cody’s armor for shits and giggles with Waxer and Boil because you wanted to try it on, but no one is laughing now that a certain commander is hunting you three down through the hall of the Negotiator
• designing a few tattoos on your holopad for a few troopers to get>>>>
• Fives has a way of hugging people where you are so completely immersed and so protected- But the group hugs with Echo and Fives… extraordinary
• You secretly take pictures of everyone- weather it’s like Hardcase and his mouth is wide open when he sleeps. If it’s the look on Sinkers face when Wolffe catches him doing soemthing, or even funny videos with Fives or Wrecker
• Alpha 17 gives you ALL the dirt about all the COs- It haunts Cody how much dirt you have on him from when he was a cadet… your just waiting for the right moment

What’s one of your favourite things about Scott McCall? 👀
Tumblr media
This is going to be complex, but one of my most favorite things about Scott McCall is something that might cause many people to scratch their heads.
Scott McCall's moral courage is personal yet universal.
When Scott takes a stand, from Season 1 to the Movie, he never seeks out an evil to defeat. It always comes to him. His desires are to be a vet, play lacrosse, and have a romance. He doesn't identify himself as a 'hero' or 'protector'; it's others who label him as such. When it all starts in Season 1, it's Peter, Derek and Chris who seek him out and insist he get involved (repeatedly). When he does feel the need to involve himself in later seasons and the movie, it's not for an abstract principle that he he is seeking to uphold. While he does have principles and while he fights according to those principles, his involvement always comes about because he knows the names of the victims.
Yet, almost paradoxically, those principles -- the most important one being that all life is valuable -- are extended to everyone, even the villains, even minor antagonists like Donovan Donati. He has to defeat Jennifer Blake, and he will, but he will give her a chance to surrender no matter whom she threatens. He has hope for Peter, who has mutilated and violated him repeatedly. He approaches Tamora Monroe and Gerard Argent alone, not because he's stupid or naive, but because he doesn't want anyone on either side to die. The only villain on whom he chooses to pass final judgment in 100 episodes and a movie is the parasitic ghost of a serial killer who died two-and-a-half centuries. ago.
To me, that's remarkable. I am sure there are other heroic protagonists who meet these standards, but they are not what I see on my screen most of the time.
He's not a crusader or rebel leader, answering injustice across the world for those who cannot defend themselves.
He's not a gritty superhero, protecting a city form the shadows to put the fear in the hearts of malefactors.
He's not a police officer, soldier, or highly-trained spy enforcing the laws of the society in which he lives, tempted to bend the rules to see true justice done.
I'm not saying there's something wrong with these types of heroes. It's just refreshing to see a heroic protagonist who isn't. He's a teenage boy (or a well-tempered adult) who has the power to save others thrust upon him and, for good or ill, seeks to do just that. I can't identify with Scott; I wouldn't have acted the way he did when faced with the choices he made. I just wish I would be able to.

A bit of an early treat for y’all.
Since my move actually went pretty quick. I guess having a big family who all own trucks/SUVs makes for light work, huh?
The meta reason is that I needed a break from arranging and putting together my apartment. So, I decided to finish this piece.
Introducing Alpha Squad. They are a small part of bigger Phoenix Squadron Unit in the Rebel Allience.

And some close ups.

Tumblr media
These aren't the squads final designs. They're more of a first pass that I am comfortable with showing off. Putting faces so sorts to names.
Going from left to right.
Captian Tally. Alpha Squads fearless 2nd in command and probably one of the best hand to hand fighters in the Rebellion. She is not to be pissed off, ever. Tally is Trapper's daughter but was raised by Cody after Trapper's death.
Commander Aurora. Leader of Alpha Squad and its resident caf addic. She is well known for her calm and collected attitude even when under fire. Her father was a member of the Corrie Guard, but she was raised by Fox and Thire.
Sparks is Alpha Squad tech maniac, hacker, and general trouble maker. She loves messing with all manor of machines and tech. She is the daughter of Comet, Sinker and Boost.
Head Medic Mako. The calmest and strongest member of Alpha Squad, Mako also has the honor of trying to wrangle all of his half siblings into the medic tent when shit goes sideways. He was adopted by Woffle after his mom abandoned him, and his clone dad is long dead.
Lieutenant Arrow. The unofficially weapons master of the group and the resident grump of the Squad. Arrow would be hard pressed to admit to it, but he loves his crazy siblings. They are just way too loud sometimes. He is Longshot's son.
Twig. One of two expert pilots for Alpha Squad, Twig, along with his twin Branch, make sure that the Squad gets where it needs to go. Regardless of laws, physics, and sometimes all common sense. His dad was a member of the 501st
Branch. One of the best pilots among the clone units, Branch is fearless, loves to go fast, and is always on the go. Along with her twin brother Twig, the squad always gets where it needs to go. Maybe not always in the sensible way tho. Her dad was a member of the 501st.
And last but not least.
Max. He is the Jack of all trades among Alpha Squad. He's a mechanic, a cook, an assistant to Mako, good at logistics, and is generally a level head dude. He does tend to get overwhelmed by his siblings' antic tho. He father is Dogma.

yukiyukiyuki!!! I was so excited for this one 🤭 two things I hated to draw combined together: hands and perspectives, but tied with Yuki it became bearable 😂
paint-splattered Yuki Tsunoda with a sprinkle of ‘yuki’ and ‘sakura’ for Alphatauri!
