@moireia Alyssa Snow lifts an entire plot like from A Vow Without Honour by @damn-daemon Alyssa asks Robert Baratheon to spare Lady and he agrees because she looks like Lyanna, he has too much of an interest in Alyssa because she looks like Lyanna, she goes to Kings Landing where her resemblance to Lyanna is remarked on and causes tension. This all occurred in AVWH which was written years ago. @moireia should at least credit this author because she is copying the exact same plotline with the exact same face claim. I do not know about any other fiction Alyssa resembles but sis!fic is pretty common and Adelaide Kane is used widely. It's just really frustrating to see Ash's work being regurgitated here.

Thank you for bringing this to light for me. I know that there are only so many stories to be told, but this seems to go the extra mile. You certainly know your facts! I am going to look into this personally. Thank you for taking the time to type all this out and let me know! It can be frustrating and I hope that both parties are consulted and reach an understanding together on credit.

AVWH began on tmblr as far back as 2020, but has been published online since 2014. Myra Stark (Adelaine K.) as the main OC and noted as Jon's twin in the first chapter. She was assigned a direwolf in images around July 1, 2020. With 63 chapters it is a lengthy piece of work that would take some deep diving to duplicate. The romance follows Myra x Jaime in an enemies to lovers plot.

So in fandom right now, I totally get the concerns for theft and ideas, but I can assure you that's not the case here. I mean, I've read GoT era fic where Robert got weird about Arya looking like Lyanna.

Starks have a look. Lyanna's daughter can look like her. It's consistent characterization that Robert would be weird about someone who looks like Lyanna. It's a personality trait of his that he's obsessed with Lyanna and it Causes All The Problems. I'm not familiar with the fic that you've mentioned, but @moireia, I know has been working on this character for the past five years.

I am home alone. It is an overcast day, and rain is on the way which I can smell through the open window. The only sound is my music. I have no notifications pinging because my phone does not exist.

21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

I'd say it usually sits around 3 times that I read it through and make edits before posting. You wouldn't believe that, though — I am always always always horrified when I look back over my chapters months later because I ALWAYS without fail find a typo or a missing word or some such. It's SO infuriating!!!

28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

@akabluekat is one of them. She writes characters in a way that just feels so authentic and real — I can relate to Charlotte a lot, so of course that helps, but the way all of the characters and their relationships are written, even ones that are very different from the POV character, just feels so real and so alive! No one feels flat in her stories, even the side characters.

@booty-boggins is another one. One thing about Nikki's writing that I really admire is the pacing! I feel like she strikes the perfect balance between letting us see how a character is feeling, while still moving the plot along at a comfortable speed — just enough emotion to have a feel for why certain things are happening, but not so much that it stalls the progression of the story. Like the emotion and the plot unfold at the same time, in tandem, rather than taking turns, if that makes sense? I feel like I'm not explaining this well lmfao.

@loki-doki is a third. The sheer amount of planning and TIME behind A Vow Without Honor absolutely blows me out of the water. I'm a slow writer and sometimes I'll forget details I wrote just like 25k words ago, but AVWH feels so seamless even at 400k+ words! She's put so much love and attention to detail into the fic and it SHOWS and I have so much respect for it because that shit is hard.

Hello, I am so upset right now. I requested a outlander and shadow bone fanfictions for your livereads and you just dumped one of my requests for a game of thrones fanfiction instead. I find game of thrones hugely triggering. One of my mutuals said you've just picked all your friends fictions to read and the request system is baloney. Trying to bring the inspiration back for AVWH by forcing myself to read the whole story from the beginning. And as proof, I will post my favorite writing from each chapter.

I guess there are some spoilers here, so proceed with caution. What if Laena doesn’t die in your story? If Daemon marries Elyse instead of her, she wouldn’t die in childbirth (she could marry someone else and still die, but let’s ignore that). Maybe she could ally with the Blacks and fight for them. Aemond wouldn’t get Vhagar. He wouldn’t lose an eye either. And then he wouldn’t go and kill Lucerys. And then Daemon wouldn’t send assassins to kill Helaena’s kids and lead to her own death (assuming Helaena still marries Aegon and have kids with him). And the Battle Above the God’s Eye wouldn’t happen and Daemon and Caraxes wouldn’t die either. A lot of the Dance would be different if she lived. Also, adult Laena was too cool to have so little screen time.
