thank u so much !! and yes,, i love this idea hehe ◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜ ‹𝟹
⊹ . ⁺ 🐰🎀⋅˚₊𐙚
the first half of your weed purchasing experience went fairly smoothly, well — as smoothly as it can for someone who has no idea what they’re talking about.
you’d shown up just a little after 4 in the prettiest skirt and your lashes extra long, coated in black. you couldn’t believe you’d worked up the courage to wind up buying weed from the guy you’d had a crush on since you were little (who seemed too chaotic to ever pay attention to little old you!) but it was soon you were stood in his house, having him talk you through each strain — and you had to try extra hard to focus because he looked so good and his hands were so big and —
“i’mma take a shot in the dark and say you’re fairly new to this right? in that case i’d prooobably suggest this, s’on the milder side, just chills you out a bunch.” he slides a packet towards you, eyes flickering up to you to catch you already looking at him.
“how’d you know i’m new to this?” you start digging in your purse for the wad of cash you brought to avoid looking at him.
“oh jus’ vibes.” he shrugs, smiling when you look back up at him, cash in hand. “its cute though, i dig it anyway.” he takes the notes from you and you swallow a love confession. “want me to roll it for you?”
he rolls the joints for you, and you try not to stare like a creep before you’re out the door in no time, breathing in the balmy late afternoon air and riding off on your bike to your empty house, family away for the weekend, to smoke your maybank special.
the second half of your experience, not so smooth.
you chaotically steer your little bike with a basket up to his house not even two hours later, paranoid and practically crashing the vehicle onto the grass as you hop off it, hands shaking at your side. jj, embarrassingly is already on the porch, stroking a stray cat with a cigarette in his mouth.
when he spots you frantically moving towards him he stands slowly, tossing the end of his cigarette aside. “ohhhh boy.” he speaks to himself like he knew what was coming.
“hey, hi, uhm.” you pant, violently struggling for breath as you clench and unclench your hands at your sides.
“you good?” he frowns, stepping towards you.
“i just— i’m so sorry to bother you but i — i smoked it alone for my first time and i don’t think i did it right or maybe it’s just reacting with me super bad and now i’m shaking and i feel really weird and i didn’t know who to go to — i— i just was wondering if there was a way to become un-high, cos i — i didn’t really wanna do it in the first place i just came to buy weed from you because i have this ridiculously huge crush on you and i thought hey what the hell—”
“heeeey, hey. breathe, okay? deep breath in girlie, look at me, right here.” he places his hands on your shoulders, face right infront of yours and for a moment you’re stunned. not only because you said all of that out loud, but because his hands were on you. “thats right, now breathe out.” he puffs his cheeks out, blowing out himself like he was encouraging a baby and you copy him, wide glassy eyes fixated on him like he was your life line.
“sorry.” you whisper and he smiles, adorable dimples indenting his cheeks.
“for what? come in, you look like you need some water.” he guides you inside his house, closing the door behind you as you try your best to stay calm. your brain felt slow and fast at the same time and all your nerve endings felt alight, constantly on the verge of a panic attack. “here, sit down— yeah? mi casa es su casa, or whatever. i never took french.” he ushers you to the couch, clumsily tripping over an empty beer can before kicking it aside and skidding off to the kitchen, returning with a glass of water.
“you ride your bike here?” he realises, sitting beside you as he hands you your drink.
“y—yeah.” you release a shaky exhale, bringing the glass to your lips.
“drink that nice n’slow, atta girl. see? you’re alright!” he makes an effort to keep his voice gentle, looking like he was going to reach out to put a hand on your arm but decided against it. you put the glass aside, palm coming to rub uncomfortably over the skin on your chest where your heart was. “heart feel a little fast?”
“mhm.” you mewl pathetically, mortified. you must have fumbled it, there was nothing sexy about winding up on your crushes couch having a panic attack.
“thats pretty normal, yeah. just gotta breathe n’shit.” he nods, resting his elbows on his knees as he watches you. “it’ll feel better when you just let it do what it needs to do, trust me.”
you try and follow his advice, sitting quietly for a few minutes as you lean back and relax into his couch, taking deep breaths and letting the high run its natural course. after a little while, you feel a giggle bubble up.
“uh-oh, there she is.” you hear the smile in his voice and he’s already looking at you.
“i totally freaked, m’sorry.” you’re all blissed out now, finally relaxed.
“oh you’re good— uh, yeah. what even happened? like—how much did you smoke?”
“the whole joint.” you shrug, snickering again.
“yeah that… probably was a lot for your first time, huh?” he grins, shaking his head. “if i knew you were this clueless about this shit, no offence, i would have offered to smoke with you, ‘ya know? be your guide. your ganja guru, if you will.”
“maybe you can teach me the right way to do it next time?” you try, feeling braver under the influence. his eyes flutter with something unrecognisable in your state and he nods.
“y—yeah. yeah for sure. totally.”
“unless i kinda ruined the vibes with that whole embarrassing confession outside.” you groan, lifting a hand to smush against your warm cheek. his eyes widen and he shakes his head.
“no! no, it was cute… i had no idea man, i would’ve closed. you crushing on me? c’mon man i’d be all over that.” he chuckles awkwardly, watching your face melt into the softest and sweetest smile he’d ever seen.
“really? you mean that?”
“hey, it’s not everyday i got a pretty girl on my couch needing me to save her, okay— this is big for me.” he teases.
you spend the rest of the evening riding out your high, before sleepily riding out your dealer beneath the glow of the television. he’ll consider it payment.

Out of My League [Part 1]
Pairing: High school!Spencer Reid x Popular!Reader
Word count: 3.7k (god i don’t shut up do i)
Summary: Spencer begins tutoring you in chemistry, and the two of you bond (I would say no pun intended but fuck it that was GOOD so I’ll say pun intended)
Warning(s): Mentions of bullying, mental illness, some swearing, I made one joke about herpes??? sorry if thats a sore spot with anyone, light angst and pining, Reader POV
Author’s Note: Here it is, folks!! The first official part! I’ so grateful for all the feedback I got on the prologue, I’m glad y’all are liking it, I hope you like this part just as much!! Next part I’m gonna have some baby spencer, and by that I mean whole ass adult spencer that just looks baby
[Previous Part] [Series Masterlist]
You absolutely despised chemistry. It’s boring. It’s simultaneously stupid and ridiculously complicated. You weren’t dumb, you were a decent student in all your other classes, but science was never your strong suit. You preferred literature over litmus paper any day. Unfortunately, your failing grade was bringing down your entire GPA, just below the requirement for you to stay on the cheerleading squad. Your coach recommended you get a tutor, or else you were off the team. So you went to the library to see the peer tutoring program, and all of them were booked. The next best thing would be the kid genius in your class. He was probably a better first choice, honestly, but you figured he’d be booked with other students too.
He wasn’t like other kids in your class, not just because he actually cared and was a good student, he was also twelve years old. The kid was a prodigy. He was bullied a lot because of this because no one really understood him. That’s probably why he looked so terrified when you approached him after class one day.
“Hey, Spencer!”
His eyes grew wide as he stared back at you, saying nothing.
“I was just wondering if you were available for tutoring?”
“Oh, uh, um, y-yeah, in chemistry?”
“Yeah, what are your rates like? Like say we do an hour every other day, how much would that be?”
“Oh! N-no charge.”
“Really?”
“The first couple of sessions can be a trial run, I don’t want your money if you’re not benefiting from it.”
That made you smile, this kid was so nice and you just wished that people actually cared about that instead of the dumb shit they bullied him for. Sure, he was skinny and short and dorky and you know, a literal twelve-year-old boy, but if someone would take time to know him, they’d see he’s a good kid.
“That’s sweet of you, but I don’t wanna waste your time if you have other students.”
“I don’t, so that shouldn’t be a problem.”
“Great! Are you free after school today?”
He nodded and avoided all eye contact before scurrying out of the room to his next class.
~~~
You met up later in the library. You greeted each other politely with simple hi’s and hey’s and nothing more. Then it was time to pour over your books for an hour and try to force the puzzle pieces into place and hope something finally clicked. Balancing molecular equations physically hurt. Just when you thought you got it all right, Spencer reminded you that you still had to balance the oxygen, which was always bonded with something else, which threw off the whole equation. Every time you made a mistake you just let out a groan and set your head on the table.
“It’s a lot of math, a lot of people have a hard time with it, don’t feel bad.”
“I’m so fucking stupid.”
“You’re not! It’s an easy mistake.”
“You don’t make mistakes like that.”
“That’s because I’ve been taking advanced math classes for the past two years, I’m good at this stuff.”
“You’re good at everything, you're a literal genius.”
“There are people who aren’t geniuses who are good at this sort of thing, just look at Johnny Abrams in our class. He answers every question Mrs. Gustin asks and I once saw him put his backpack on his car’s roof and start driving ‘cuz he forgot it was there. He’s just been practicing. That’s why we’re here, right?”
He always reassured you. Always told you that you weren’t stupid. You weren’t dumb. He always smiled when you got questions right and told you you were doing a good job. When your hour was up, you said goodbye and went home.
Spencer’s mini lectures aside, most of your sessions were sparse in the conversation department. The first time he went off on a side about some chemistry facts, you couldn’t keep up. You just sat there, jaw hanging while he went into detail about saponification, which wasn’t even in this lesson.
“Sorry, I’m rambling.”
“Did we learn that in class? Cuz if we did, I’m screwed.”
“No, not yet at least.”
“How do you just… know that?”
Spencer avoided your eyes once again, something he did more than spouting random facts, “I read a lot.”
That’s how it happened the first time. All it took was you asking one question about different types of reactions for him to launch into another spiel. You figured you’d have to know it at some point, so you started writing down whatever you could catch from his fast-paced speech, taking notes in bullet points.
“And that-- Oh. Y-You don’t need to do that, that’s not even on the curriculum.”
“Well, I gotta keep up with you somehow, right?” You glanced up from your page and flashed an almost challenging smirk as you saw him stifle a smile as he avoided all eye contact with you, as per usual. He then cleared his throat and got back to the actually assigned chapter.
The more he went off on tangents, the more he realized you weren’t stopping him. He was actually able to make chemistry sound interesting to you, which is strange, but it was easier to understand through how he explained it all. Something told you that he wasn’t used to having someone listen to what he said, because he just lit up when he talked about this stuff. He was clearly passionate about it, so why would you make him feel bad about it? He always apologized, but you always reassured him it was no big deal.
You didn’t know it at the time, but the kid was falling hard. This pretty, older girl was paying attention to him and didn’t think he was annoying? The bar may have been on the floor for young Spencer, but you were perfect to him. Eventually, he was able to look you in the eyes when you spoke to one another, he even smiled at you when you joked with him. That was another thing: you joked with one another now. You both warmed up to one another as your sessions continued. You said hi to each other in the hallways, you ruffled his hair as a greeting, he accepted your high-five requests every time you got something right.
You still didn’t talk outside of class much, which is why he was caught so far off guard by you calling his name from across the cafeteria as you approached his table.
“Hey, dude! Is it cool if we squeeze in an extra session today? I got a test tomorrow.”
“Y-Yeah, no problem, but, uh, it’s Thursday. Don’t you have practice after school?”
You did. And you had to be there because you had a competition this weekend.
“Yeah, I was wondering if we could meet after?”
“When does it end?”
“Five.”
“Library closes at four.”
“I know, but would it be too much of a hassle if I just… Pick you up tonight and we head back to my house to study?”
You could physically see his brain shut down in his eyes. After he realized he needed to respond, he picked his jaw up off the floor and gulped hard.
“Or you can stay after and hang out at practice and I can just drive you home?”
“Y-Yeah, um, yeah, tha-that works, I can, uh, yeah, we can do that.”
Spencer brought his books and homework and tried his hardest to not make it obvious he was staring at you while you danced. You looked like you were having so much fun and he loved seeing you happy and smiling with your friends like that, it was hard for him to look away and focus long enough to read a sentence, which is saying something, considering it does not take him long to read a sentence.
After practice wrapped up, you told him to go wait by your car while you changed out of your uniform. The girls in the locker room were talking just as loudly as always, only this time, it was about something you actually cared about hearing.
“I mean, really, what was that little creep doing watching us today?” You heard one girl sneer.
“So fucking gross, I don’t wanna know where his prepubescent head was.” Another girl laughed.
You had to step in. You had to say something.
“I’m his ride home. He’s my chemistry tutor and I have a test tomorrow, so back off the kid, he didn’t do shit to you anyway.”
The squad learned to watch their mouths around you after that.
~~~
The neon glow of the golden arches shone through your car’s windows as you pulled into the McDonald’s drive-thru line.
“This isn’t your house,” noted Spencer, sounding confused.
You grinned, “Oh, shit… no way! Wow! I’m so glad my tutor is a genius! I would have never guessed this was not my family home!”
He let himself laugh for a moment, “Okay, okay, fine. Why are we here?”
“Uh… to get food? Duh.”
“But what about your food at home?”
“My mom’s visiting my dad, he works in D.C., and I haven’t gotten a chance to go grocery shopping this week, so I can’t cook for you. What do you want?”
“You don’t have to get me anything.”
“No, I insist, it’s almost dinner time. Lemme get you something. As a thank you for squeezing in an extra cramming sesh?”
“It’s fine! Really.”
“Hey, Reid, come on,” you attempt to stifle a stupid giggle as you gesture to the rather large window displaying the playroom inside, “you are a guest in my home!”
Spencer shakes his head and chuckles, but doesn’t dare let you think he found you funny, “I’ll have chicken nuggets.”
“Happy meal?”
He tried to look offended at your clarification, but he quickly dropped the facade, “Yes. Extra fries, please.”
“Of course, buddy.” You pulled up further to the ordering station, catching a glimpse at the menu and the ads they had displayed on it, “Oh no way! They have Strawberry Shortcake toys! I used to collect those when I was a kid!”
Spencer saw the look on your face and couldn’t help but smile at your childlike excitement, “Do you want my happy meal toy?”
You bit your lip and hesitated before throwing all shame to the wind and saying yes. Because it was Spencer. He got excited over chemistry, he had no right to judge you on your old Strawberry Shortcake doll collection.
After you got your food, you drove back to your house, and you ate together at your kitchen island while Spencer quizzed you on the last chapter. He had asked you eighteen questions so far, and you had answered all of them correctly.
“Okay, this last one is for the Strawberry Shortcake--”
“Her name is Orange Blossom.”
“Whatever, this last one is for the Orange Blossom toy: Which type of reaction is represented by this equation?” He showed you his notebook where he had written a molecular equation.
“Substitution.”
“Correct! Now balance it.”
Your shoulders slouched as the pride drained from your body.
“Please don’t make me.”
“This is going to be on the test, Y/N, you have to know it.”
“What’s one wrong question, really?”
“You and I both know she’s not going to put just one balancing question on the test.”
“Fine.” You grumbled, grabbing a pencil and sliding his notebook closer to you. You worked it out after a few minutes, but everything looked right, and judging by Spencer’s proud grin, everything was.
He reached for the figurine, still in the plastic bag, and handed it to you, “You’re gonna do great tomorrow, Y/N.”
You took Orange Blossom from his hands and danced around the kitchen with it, overwhelmed with the sudden feeling of confidence you gained from nailing this practice session. You heard Spencer’s small laugh from behind you, causing you to turn around and face the boy as he lovingly mocked you.
Studying at your place became a regular thing after that, even when your mom was home. She loved him. She always invited him for dinner if she was home. He rarely took her up on the offer, but it was nice having him around the house with you. Study sessions turned into just plain hanging out. You spent more time bonding over Doctor Who than chemistry some nights, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
~~~
When Alexa Lisben invited him to meet her at the football field you were skeptical. You had good reason to be. She was never very nice to you or Spencer. You were able to be civil with her for the sake of the cheerleading squad, but something about her just didn’t sit right with you. You tried to warn him, but he wouldn’t listen. He seemed offended at the notion that Alexa would do something horrible to him. How dare you imply that the only reason someone would be interested in him would be to pull a fucked up prank?
“I’m not like you, Y/N, I don’t have a line of people waiting around for a date, no one’s ever had a crush on me before, and-and now that someone other than you is being nice to me, you’re telling me that they have some sort of ulterior motive?”
“Spencer. I know these girls, I’ve seen the guys they go for--”
“And I’m not like them?”
“No! You’re a sweet kid, you’re nothing like those guys and they’re gonna take advantage of that.”
“I really wish everyone would stop saying I’m just a kid!”
“You’re not! That came out wrong--”
“Listen, Y/N, I’m going whether you want me to or not, so if you really want to keep babying me, by all means, stay after and wait with me.”
“I don’t wanna baby you!”
“So stop it!”
You didn’t want to fight with him anymore, you weren’t his mother. “Ok, Spencer, fine. I’m sorry. You should go. How about you meet me in the library after and you can tell me all about it over McDonald’s? My treat.”
He warmed up and agreed.
So you waited in the library until four, and then you started to get worried. You went to grab something from your gym locker before you left to look for him and heard some girls from the squad gossiping about “the little dork.” Your blood started to boil as you heard the way they talked about Spencer. Your jaw only clenched harder as you recognized one of the girls’ voices as Alexa Lisben’s.
You poked your head around the lockers that divided the aisles and tried to manage a calm voice, “Hey Alexa? Spencer actually said he was meeting up with you today, do you know where he is?”
She just laughed and said, “I can’t believe you actually care about that loser.”
“He’s my friend.” All attempts to remain level-headed were tossed aside, “Where the fuck is he, what did you do to him?”
You could feel yourself starting to cry. It’s your fault, you weren’t there, you tried to warn him, but now you don’t know where he is or what he’s thinking or--
“Check the field.”
You sprinted out to the football field and saw him stripped down to his briefs, blindfolded, and tied to a goal post. You could kill Alexa. You actually considered turning right around and unleashing hell on that locker room, but your friend needed help. He was crying so hard he didn’t hear you coming until you called his name. You immediately went to untie him and grab his clothes from the fence beside him.
“You were right.” He sniffled, “I’m so sorry.”
“Don’t apologize, I’m not mad, I’m sorry, I should have been there, I could have helped you--”
“No, you couldn’t. There were too many people.”
“How many were there? Who did this?”
“Y/N, please--”
“No, Spencer, tell me what happened.”
“I don’t wanna talk about it!”
You know when to stop, so you just shut your mouth while he got dressed, “Get in the car, I’m taking you home.”
You didn’t say a word to him as he buckled his seatbelt and you could tell he appreciated it. You just drove to McDonald’s and got him his usual. You parked in the parking lot and ate your food in almost silence, save for the radio in the background.
“You don’t have to tell me what exactly happened, you could pretend none of this ever happened, I won’t mind, it’s okay, but I just need you to know, Spencer, say the word and she’s dead. I have so much dirt on her, you have no idea, I can destroy her.”
“Don’t.”
“Okay, I won’t. At least give me names. I will personally make sure none of those boys ever get a date again.”
“Y/N, please.”
“I’m serious, I’ll tell everyone they have herpes.”
“I know you are and that’s what scares me, please don’t, I don’t wanna make things worse.”
You decide to drop it because if he doesn’t wanna talk about it, he needs a distraction.
After you finish your food, you ask him “Your house or mine?”
“Yours. Please.”
You drove back to your house and got yourselves set up on the couch in front of the TV, turning on an episode of Doctor Who that you had recorded. You made him popcorn as he curled up on your couch, clutching a pillow. You were mostly quiet for the rest of the night, but when you did talk, it was to ask him a question about the show or if any of the science was accurate. It was the best you could do to keep him mind off things. Eventually, he fell asleep and you felt too bad to wake him. He got up by himself around midnight, jolting awake as if from a nightmare, and considering how the last few hours had been for him, it probably was one.
“Hey, bud, I’m here, it’s me.” You didn’t touch him, knowing he got overstimulated sometimes when he got really stressed, but he felt around for you on the couch next to him, needing to know you were really there this time. You patted his hand when it reached across the cushion for you.
“What time is it?”
“Way too late for you to be here, let’s get you home.”
He nodded, slowly rising to his feet and looking for his backpack, which you reminded him he had left in the car. Your hand hovered above his head for a moment before he lazily drifted into you as he walked. You took this as an okay to touch him, so you ruffled his hair before loosely slinging an arm around his shoulders as you guided him to your car.
The drive back to Spencer’s wasn’t too long, thankfully, because you were sure his parents would be furious with him and the kid’s been through enough today. You wanted to take all the heat without making them think you kidnapped him. The lights were still on when you pulled into the driveway. They were probably worried sick about him.
When you knocked on the door, a frantic woman with short blonde hair opened it. When she saw Spencer, she grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him into the house, never breaking eye contact with you.
“Who are you? What are you doing with my son?”
“He didn’t do anything wrong, Mrs. Reid. I’m Y/N, he’s been tutoring me.”
“How do you know me? Spencer, what did you tell her?” She looked at him and back at you, “Get off my property and stay away from us!”
“Mom, she’s a fr--”
“Go up to your room, don’t come out.” She didn’t sound like an angry parent reprimanding her son, she sounded almost... scared.
A million alarms were going off in your head, and you needed to try to get through to her, “Ma’am, I’m sorry, he was helping me study and we lost track of time, it’s not his fault.”
“I don’t care, I don’t know you, get off my property!”
You decided it was best not to argue, so you hurried back to your car and drove home as quickly as possible so you could shower and go to bed and pray that Spencer would be okay tonight.
~~~
Your phone rang early the next morning. You rolled out of bed to answer it, sprinting to the hall table to take it off the stand. Checking the caller ID, you realized it was from a number you didn’t recognize. Answering it, you heard Spencer’s voice on the other side.
“Hello, this is Spencer, is Y/N home?”
“Yes, you woke me up on a Saturday morning, where else am I gonna be, kid?” Your voice was scratchy as you struggled to fight off the sleep still clawing at your throat.
“Sorry about that. I was just calling to apologize for last night.”
“No, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to get you in trouble.”
“N-No, I’m not in trouble, I just wanted to explain why my mother was all--”
“She was worried, I get it.”
“N- she… My mother is a paranoid schizophrenic, she doesn’t do well with strangers. She doesn’t even remember what she said to you last night, she was having one of her episodes. She was just confused.”
You didn’t know how to respond. You were so shocked by his sudden revelations, you just stayed silent. You didn’t want him to think he scared you, so you had to say something. And apparently, that something was “Oh.”
“She wanted to apologize, but she’s just a bit embarrassed, so I called for her.”
“N-No, it’s okay, I…” It was suddenly so hard to say you understood because while it made sense to you, you wouldn’t fully understand what he or his mom was going through, you didn’t understand it, but Spencer didn’t seem to mind. He was just glad it didn’t bother you. After the events of yesterday, he couldn’t afford to lose you.
“Tell her I’m sorry I scared her.”
“Will do. She said you could come over so she could apologize personally and meet her if you want.”
“I’d love to. And Spence?”
You felt him take pause. You never called him that before, “Yeah?”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t wanna scare you.”
“You wouldn’t scare me, dude, you can tell me anything.”
“Really?”
“I promise. I’ll see you Monday?”
Spencer nodded, but you couldn’t see him, so he spoke up through the lump in his throat, “See you Monday.”

Pairing: Felix x gender neutral reader
Genre: romance, fluff
Word Count: ~3,600
Warnings: none
Notes: I don’t know what it is about Felix but whenever I look at him, I get summer teen movie vibes and it makes me want to scream. Also I call Chan ‘Chris’ in this for reasons lmao
Summary: Two chaotic best friends, a questionable car, and the entire world to explore.
Tumblr media
Everything about this impromptu trip was going wrong, yet you can’t help but laugh at the sheer ridiculousness of it all.
Felix has a streak of grease on his cheek from trying to fix whatever went wrong with his old car and you’re seated on the side of the road on a picnic blanket sipping an apple juice box as you wait. This wasn’t the first thing to blow up in your face since you started this trip five hours ago.
Thirty minutes in your trip, Felix realized he left his camera at home and so he U-turned and sped a little to make up for lost time. Three hours later after waking up from a nap, you get a sinking feeling in your stomach that maybe you didn’t lock the door to your apartment. It’s remedied by simply texting your neighbor to check for you, but it did put a damper on your mood for a while.
And now, the car has broken down and the two of you are stranded in the middle of nowhere with very bad cell signal. No one has driven by in the last thirty minutes. Under the summer sun, you and Felix pushed the car to the side of the road and glared at it until you sighed and dug through the trunk for a juice box.
“Do you know how to fix it?” you asked.
He shrugged, running his fingers through his hair and pulling at the roots. “We’ll see.”
It’s been edging towards an hour now so you call Felix over and pat the empty space beside you. He scoots over on his butt and knocks every limb against yours in an attempt to get comfortable. You know he’s being obnoxious so you elbow him back.
“This is a mess,” he says.
You shrug, dropping your head onto his shoulder and sucking air from the juice box. “At least we’re hanging out together.”
Felix lets out a laugh, rubbing his fingers against the smear on his cheek in an attempt to wipe it away. “Yeah. I have you.”
You hide a smile, tingles appearing underneath your skin as Felix leans his head on top of yours. You stare at the broken down car, thinking that even if everything went wrong, at least it was with Felix.
Tumblr media
You’re two hours behind schedule when Felix gets the car going again and you make a stop to grab some food. It slips both your minds to call the hotel and tell them that you’ll be late for the room reservations so by the time you get there the rooms are gone. You’re back in the car now, sitting under a flickering streetlight, feeling a little defeated at it all.
“This was a terrible idea,” Felix mutters. He rolls down his window, huffing at how much energy it takes for him to do so. It has a manual crank. His car is that old. The evening air is a lot better than the stifling summer heat, so you roll down the window on your side too. You leave your arm hanging out of the car, fingers twitching as if trying to grab onto the breezes that slip through.
“The trip was not a terrible idea,” you correct. You tilt your head and give your best friend a soft smile. “It was a terrible start. But it’ll get better. We have two weeks left on this.”
Felix groans. “Two weeks left for things to go wrong, you mean?”
You wet your lips. “Felix.”
“What,” he pouts.
“How far are we from the beach?”
“Like a thirty minute drive?”
You pull in your arm and turn your body in the seat to face him fully. “Do you think we can make it there to see the sunset?”
Felix blinks at you, eye wide, before the sparkle in them returns and an absolutely blinding smile blooms on his lips and lights up his entire face. “We can try.”
You barely make it in time. After Felix snaps a ton of photos with his camera, you sit on the hood of his car, head on his steady shoulder, his arm around yours, as you watch the sun descend in the horizon, another warped sun reflected on the ocean waves that seem to stretch onto forever and beyond. Felix’s fingers are drumming on your arm, slightly sticky from the heat and sweat, but you don’t really mind.
There isn’t much to say, so you sit in silence. A lot has happened in the past day and it would be a lie to say that you weren’t worried for how the rest of this trip was going to go. But you don’t voice those thoughts. Felix already has enough on his mind and you don’t need to make him feel any worse for suggesting this trip.
You’re so caught up in the beauty of it all that it takes Felix’s arm slipping from your shoulder to realize that he’s fallen asleep. You turn your head slightly, just enough to see him out of the corner of your eye and not wake him up. His eyelashes lay prettily against his golden skin, dotted with the stars. That feeling hits you again, the one that makes your heart ache a little. You know what it is, but you can’t act on it.
“Felix,” you whisper.
His nose twitches first and then his eyes flutter open. “Sorry,” he says. His voice is rough with sleep and it makes you shiver.
“I’ll drive,” you say. “We have to find somewhere to stay.”
He doesn’t argue, digging through the pockets of his shorts to pull out the keys and hand them over. “Okay. I’ll navigate.”
Somehow, Navigator Felix does worse than Driver Felix, and you take a break by finding a drive thru to grab dinner.
“Get me a milkshake,” Felix whines. He shakes your shoulder in that petulant childish way.
“Bro, you’re lactose,” you say, batting his hands away.
“Your point is?”
You roll your eyes and inch forward in the line to stop at the speaker. “Hi, can I get two number fours, a large fries, and a medium soda please?”
“My milkshake, y/n!”
“And a chocolate milkshake. Thank you!” You’re not sure what your hand hits when you swing your arm back blindly to push him away, but Felix lets out a garbled sound and finally settles down. The satisfied noise that he makes when you hand him the bag of food and tray with the drinks makes you smile. “Feed me,” you say.
Felix holds a fry to your lips. “If I am not mistaken, there’s a motel five minutes down this road.”
You hum. “Another,” you say, opening your mouth and waiting for Felix to pop another fry in. “I’m going to shower, eat this burger, and knock out.”
“Are we sleeping in tomorrow?” he asks. Felix has already unwrapped his burger and started munching his way through it. “Please charge your phone and leave the ringer on so you can wake up when I call you. I don’t want to pound at your door and have people look at me weird in the hallway.”
“Yeah, whatever. I’ll figure it out then. Ahh.”
Felix gives you two fries this time. “I don’t think waking you up is something to figure out tomorrow,” Felix says.
You shrug. “I’m just trying to get through this day by day. We’ll be fine.”
You are not fine.
“We only have one room left, I’m sorry,” the receptionist says. He grimaces. “It’s summer, so we get a lot of guests during this time,” he explains. “Would you like to book it anyway?”
Part of you wants to facepalm because of course other people would also be on a trip like you. What were you expecting during peak travel weather? You turn to look at Felix and he blinks back at you slowly. He looks tired and is probably drifting into a food coma as he’s standing right next to you. In other words, he’s no help.
“We’ll take it,” you say. “Available for two nights and two days, right?”
“That’s correct.”
“Felix, go sit down.” You nudge him on the side, nearly sending him stumbling into a fake potted plant. He grabs his bags and your suitcase and drags them to a nearby sofa to crash on. You watch him go before turning back and dealing with payment.
Soon, you’re climbing up to the second floor of the motel. Felix has woken up slightly now, probably slowly feeling the effects of that milkshake. You’re going to kill him if you don’t get to shower first.
“Felix Lee, I am showering first and you cannot stop me,” you say as you unlock the door to the room and flick on the light.
Your jaw slowly drops.
“Lemme in,” Felix grumbles. He squeezes between you and the door and plops down at the edge of the bed. “Close the door so we can turn on the AC,” he whines.
You blink. “That dude just– He– Huh?”
Felix lifts his head up slightly. “What’s wrong?”
“There’s only one bed?”
He blinks before his lips form a small “o” and his eyes widen as recognition sinks in. “That is a problem.” Felix rolls onto his stomach and stretches like a cat. “Another problem is that you need to shower now.”
You huff, dragging all the luggage into the room and then shutting the door behind you. “Give me fifteen minutes,” you say.
“Not a second longer.”
Tumblr media
You can’t sleep. Maybe it’s the AC running a little too loud, or the weird shadows that slip through the blinds in the window, or whatever the people in the room above you are doing. You turn on your side one more time, letting out a long breath through your nose as you blink tiredly. You don’t know what time it is, but it’s pretty late.
Felix fell asleep a while ago, snoring quietly from where he set out a makeshift bed on the floor. He’s silent now but he lets out little steady puffs that let you know he’s still dreaming.
This position on your side is uncomfortable, so you turn onto your back again. The bed is too soft and your sweater pillow a little too lumpy. After winning a round of rock, paper, scissors, you gave Felix the two pillows to make up for the fact he was sleeping on the floor and squished a sweater into a ball for yourself. He had protested at first but you gave him your meanest glare and Felix just ruffled your hair and didn’t put up a fight.
The ceiling becomes boring to look at, so you turn the other way.
Felix rustles, turning in his sleep as well.
You freeze, waiting for the sound of his steady breath to return. But it doesn’t.
“Y/n.” Felix’s voice is rough with sleep. He kind of sounds like a demon but a cute one, if that makes any sense. You’re tired but the thought amuses you.
“Yeah?”
“You keep moving.”
“Sorry.”
“Are you okay?”
You chew on your lower lip, holding back your words long enough for Felix to sit up from the floor. His hair is a bird’s nest and he blinks sleepily at you, clutching a pillow to his chest.
“What’s wrong?” he asks.
“Can’t sleep,” you say. You count the beats in your chest. One. Two. Three. “Come up.”
Felix takes roughly five seconds to move from the floor onto the bed, scooting you over by poking your side until you move. He replaces your sweater pillow with a real pillow, and then squishes you against the wall when he lies down beside you. “Okay, sleep now.”
You let out a small laugh. “It’s not that easy.”
“Huh.” Felix lifts your head with a hand and slips his other arm under. When he lets go, your head rests on his shoulder, his other arm draped over your middle. “Okay, how about now?”
It’s summer, and normally you would hate being this close to someone else when the heat in the air is enough to make everything feel icky. But this is Felix. And instead of making your skin feel sticky and gross, he sends your mind into overdrive and your heart racing even faster than that.
Felix taps your back with his fingers. “Sleep,” he says. “We have to explore tomorrow. No naps.”
You tuck your head under his chin. In this position, your forehead is rested against his chest. You wonder if you listened a little harder, if you would be able to hear the sound of his heart beating in his chest. You wonder if it’s pounding as fast as yours.
Listening to the sound of Felix’s soft breaths, and feeling his chest rise and fall against your skin, you drift into sleep, dreaming of nothing but you and Felix and the entire world at your fingertips.
Tumblr media
You spend the entirety of the next day at the beach. Felix spends half of it in the ocean, terrorizing you with the water he manages to cup in his tiny hands, and the other half ordering to either pose or get out of his way as he takes pictures.
This time, when the sun begins to set, you two stretch out in the sand, leaning into each other’s personal space as Felix shows off his favorite captures.
“Why won’t you let me take pictures of you?” you ask.
Felix shrugs, clicking through his camera and then leaning over to show you another picture. His shoulders are pink, showing signs of a mild sunburn he’ll probably whine to you about later. His hair is still damp from where he you pushed him into the water earlier, blond locks sticking to his forehead in little clumps.
“Y/n.”
“Huh?”
“You’re staring.” Felix wiggles his eyebrows. “Can you tell I’ve been working out with Chris?” He leaves his camera on his lap to do some weird flexing thing with his arm.
“No?” you say.
Felix clicks his tongue. “Rude.” He sticks out his tongue as he picks up his camera again. “Look at this one I got. If you post it on Instagram, I better get tagged as the best photographer ever.”
You smile. “Okay.”
Felix grins. “I wanna get some pictures of the sunset, and then we can go get dinner.” He dusts sand off his beach shorts, taking care to not let any fly in your direction, and then bounces off.
There’s a warm feeling that starts from your toes and creeps upwards until it reaches the tips of your ears. As much as you want to blame it on the sand and the heat of the sun, you know there’s no point in trying. Even with something as amazing as a star slipping from the sky, you can’t take your eyes off Felix.
Tumblr media
“Why is it so hard for you to sleep?” Felix asks after you turn for the nth time in bed that night. You freeze when his arms wrap around your middle and pull until your back is pressed flush against his chest. “You’re driving in the morning.”
“Thinking a lot,” you murmur.
“You think too much.” Felix nuzzles his nose against the back of your neck. “What are you thinking about?”
A beat of silence. Felix’s arms tighten ever the slightest around your waist. “What’s going to happen after this trip is over,” you say.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, we just graduated. In a few months, I’ll be moving back home and we’ll both be moving on with our lives. We’re out in the real world now.”
“But why are you thinking about that now?”
You’re not sure. Is it because the person you’ve had by your side for the last four years of your life is literally spooning you and making you question how platonic this was all supposed to be? Is it because you’re afraid you’re looking too deep into all of this and Felix will go back to being untouchable when this trip is all over? Is it because you don’t want to leave it all behind when you fly thousands of miles away to go back home? Or all of the above?
“Talk to me, y/n.” His fingers are drumming against your hip. Index, middle, ring, and back again.
“Because I’m scared.”
“Of?”
You suppress a shudder when Felix’s lips brush against the shell of your ear when he speaks. You count the number of taps, waiting until ten before you turn around. Felix’s hand slides off your hip and he meets your eyes when you settle. He gives you an encouraging nod, eyes soft around the corners and nose scrunched up just enough that the little freckle on his nostril is visible in the light seeping through the window. Your gaze lingers on his lips, tracing his Cupid’s bow and how his lips curve into a slight smile. “Losing everything I have here…Losing you.”
The way Felix’s eyes turn into little half-moons when he smiles is enchanting.
“When you sat and watched the sunset today, were you afraid you were never going to see it again?”
You shake your head.
“Right? Because it’ll come back again every day. So even if you’re stuck in the darkness for a short time, the sun will always rise again. And you’ll start a new day, with new opportunities.” Felix’s tongue darts out to wet his lips, eyes flickering to yours before moving back to hold eye contact. “When you move away, it’s going to be hard. I understand why you’re scared. But the sun will rise and you’ll be okay.” He finds your hand and laces his fingers in between yours. “We’ll both be okay.” A squeeze.
“We?”
Felix only smiles. He releases his grip on your hand and pulls you until your forehead is rested against his chest like last night. “Sleep,” he says.
So you do.
Tumblr media
“How was your trip?”
“You would think after the first day at the beach that Felix would remember to put on sunscreen, but the dude got sunburned like every other day,” you say. You ignore the indignant squawk he makes and continue to sip on your soda. “The car broke down the first day. We missed our first hotel booking and got stuck in a lowkey sketchy motel with only one bed. I won rock, paper, scissors and I got the bed, so it wasn’t too bad,” you say, raising another finger with every recollection. “And then Felix decided it would be a great idea to get ice cream for the road and save it for later.”
Chris frowns. “Aren’t you lactose?” he asks Felix.
You slap a hand onto the table. “Exactly,” you hiss. “And he didn’t think that it would melt so we had sticky fingers until I found a gas station to stop by. And then the car broke down again.”
“Okay, you can stop exposing me now,” Felix whines.
“I wanna see pictures. Felix was hyping them up so much on the group chat,” Hyunjin says. Seungmin perks up from his phone when Felix takes out his camera. He leaves the two of them to click through the photos themselves.
“You didn’t answer my question about how the trip was though. Good? Bad? Rating out of ten please. I need to know in case he decides to spring a random trip on me,” Chris says.
“Yeah, like I would ask you on a trip with me,” Felix says with a roll of his eyes.
You bite down on the straw as you think. Felix is now giving you puppy dog eyes so you purposely don’t look at him. “Uhh, if we were to ignore all the things we couldn’t control, ten out of ten.”
Felix raises both hands into the air in victory. “This is why you’re the best, y/n!” He wiggles around like those inflatable floppy men in front of car dealerships. Seungmin has to whack his arm to get him to stop.
Chris scoffs. “He bribed you, didn’t he?”
You shake your head. “No, it was a good trip. I enjoyed it. Ten out of ten would go again.”
“Are you saying that because he’s Felix or because the trip was really good? Because I think if any one of us took you on a trip where the car broke down multiple times, you’d give us a big zero.” Hyunjin asks. He turns the camera to you and raises an eyebrow. “I hope you have a good explanation for this picture.”
“Wait, I wanna see,” Chris scoots his chair over to peer into the camera. “Oh, man, you two are gross.”
“Give my camera back,” Felix says. He wiggles an arm into the shield his friends made around his camera, but Chris swats him out of the way.
“You didn’t think to delete those pictures before you brought the camera here?” you ask. You feel the heat in your cheeks but there’s also a smile you can’t hide.
“It’s not like we didn’t know something was going to happen on the trip. Felix and y/n alone for two weeks?” Hyunjin fans himself with a hand and pulls a weird face. Seungmin smacks him. “This is not a PG distance!” Hyunjin says.
Felix leans backwards until his head is rested on your shoulder and he’s staring at you upside down. His eyes are glittering as they blink innocently at you. “Since you said, ‘ten out of ten would go again’ this means you have to take me to see the sunset in your favorite places when you go home.” He grins. “Road trip part two?”

Good Luck
Three Years Earlier
“Psst.”
Cas looked up from his computer when something hit him in the back of the head. He was trying to survive another eight-a.m. accounting class without falling asleep. He turned around.
The girl with dark, reddish-brown hair who always sat there grinned at him. She pointed at the floor behind him with her pen and raised her eyebrows.
Cas furrowed his brow and picked up the crumpled paper that had hit him. He turned around and unfolded it, doing his best not to seem too suspicious.
Solitaire? It read in a hasty scrawl.
Cas frowned. She had been watching his screen. He turned back to give her a look of confusion. She only grinned wider.
I am attempting to at least pretend I’m engaged. Unlike you, he wrote back. He reached behind him for the girl to take the paper.
He returned to his game, but was once more disturbed by the ball of paper. Other students were noticing the disruption, leading to the professor saying, “Hey, calm down over there.” Castiel turned bright red. He bowed his head, trying to make himself small as he opened the note once more.
You got me, I can’t even pretend anymore. Wanna study for the test together?
Castiel raised his eyebrows at the invitation. He was confused — he had spoken to the girl once or twice, but had never gotten her name, and never given her his.
The professor released them a moment later, and the girl hopped over her row of seats and into his.
“So?” She asked.
Cas didn’t look at her as he put his laptop back in his bag. “What?”
“Do you wanna study? Come on, it’ll be way more fun together.”
Cas put his backpack on and looked at her. “Why?”
The girl looked confused. “What?”
“Why do you want to study with me?”
“Why don’t you want to study with me?” She retorted.
“I didn’t say that I don’t want to,” Castiel explained. They began to shuffle out of the row together.  “I’m just confused as to why you offered. We don’t know each other at all.”
She laughed a little and cocked her head. “Hun, that’s kind of the point. Ever heard of making friends?”
Castiel scoffed as they exited onto the campus lawn. “Right,” he said.
“What’s your name?” She asked.
“Cas Novak,” he replied. “And yours is..?”
“Meg. Meg Masters,” she said, taking an exaggerated bow. Cas kept walking, and she skipped to catch back up with him.
“There, now we know each other,” she said. “So, now do you want to study together?”
Cas considered her for a moment out of the corner of his eye. She was bright and open and, well, everything that Cas couldn’t seem to be. Ridiculous as it was, being that a possible friend had just fallen in his lap, he wanted to say no. He just assumed he would do something, say something that would cause her to find him unpleasant.
But then… Dean didn’t hate him, and neither did his friends. He’d even had an entire conversation with Charlie about Lord of the Rings, and she’d made him promise to watch the movies with her after midterms were over. Perhaps people were more forgiving than Castiel gave them credit for.
“That sounds nice,” he said to Meg, and he thought that maybe, for once, he meant it.
“If I look at this for one more goddamn second, I’m going to lose my mind.”
Dean was lying on his stomach on the floor behind Cas’s desk chair, his ancient computer open in front of him. It was near one in the morning, midterms were coming up. Castiel’s head was swimming from staring at supply and demand graphs for the last few hours.
“What is it?” Cas asked, turning around.
“Calculus,” Dean groaned. “I can’t deal with these related rates. Everything was making sense until now.”
“I might be able to help.”
Dean moved himself to a seated position and patted the ground beside him.
“You’ve finished most of it,” Cas said, looking at Dean’s computer. “Where’s your work for the problems you’ve missed?”
“I usually do this kind of stuff in my head.”
Cas raised an eyebrow. “And you say I’m the genius.”
Dean rolled his eyes. “Can you help?”
Cas gave him a look. “I am very good at calculus.”
Dean put up his hands defensively.
“Look,” Cas said, “You just have to identify which variable is actually changing. Here, it’s the radius. So you’ll take your derivative with respect to the radius.”
“Damn,” Dean said. “If someone would have told me that, like, a week ago, this would have made so much more sense. Thanks, Cas.”
“Of course.”
Cas ended up bringing his own computer to the floor to study while Dean finished his homework. He moved onto a different subject — it was simply too late for econ. He was reviewing ancient Greek philosophers and their beliefs when Dean rolled over on his back with a groan. He rested his head on top of Castiel’s crossed legs. The action nearly made him jump. He tried not to stare too intently.
“Dude, I’m hungry,” he said.
“Hungry?” Cas repeated. “I would have expected you to say, tired,’ but not ‘hungry.’”
“Dude, I’m pretty sure they say it’s good luck to eat Taco Bell while studying calculus at three in the morning,” Dean said, pulling on a flannel.
“I’m pretty sure no one ever says that,” Cas replied.
“I’m saying it now. C’mon.”
Cas pulled on a sweatshirt — it was cold for October — and followed Dean out the door.
“I haven’t driven you anywhere, have I?” Dean asked when they reached the dorm parking lot.
“Not that I can remember.”
“Oh, wait til you see her,” Dean said, excited. “My car, my baby. You’ll be floored.”
Dean stopped at an old, black muscle car, parked at the far end of the lot, away from the rest of the cars. Castiel could see the Chevrolet logo on the back.
“It’s quite beautiful,” he said, and Dean grinned at him.
“Isn’t she? 1967 Chevy Impala. My dad gave her to me when I turned sixteen. She was a beater then — I had to drop a new engine and get her reupholstered. But she was worth it.”
“You rebuilt it yourself?” Castiel asked, impressed.
“I had a little help, but mostly, yeah.”
Dean unlocked the doors, and the two slid into the car. The interior looked as if Dean had just driven the car off the lot hours prior.
“You must take very good care of this car,” Cas observed. “I’ve never seen anything so clean.”
“Like I said, she’s worth it,” Dean replied, bringing the engine to a low roar. Cas was about to remark on the sound, when something on top of the dash caught his eye.
A half-empty package of Marlboros.
Dean turned to him, about to say something, but dropped his smile seeing Cas staring at the cigarettes.
“Uh, I don’t… I don’t smoke in here,” he said. “Only outside. Just keep ‘em in here ‘cause you know. Dorms.”
Cas nodded once. He’d never known anyone who smoked. “That’s—“
“Filthy habit, I know,” Dean interrupted. “I know.”
“I was going to say it’s good you don’t smoke in your car. Seeing as you put so much work into it,” Cas clarified, clearing his throat. Dean hadn’t shown a lick of judgement toward Castiel in the whole two months of their friendship. That wasn’t lost on Cas. He wasn’t about to turn his nose up at something as trivial as a nicotine addiction.
Dean stared at him a moment before choking out a laugh. “Yeah. Yeah, I guess so.”
“It is… Quite bad for you, though,” Castiel added after a moment. “How long have you been..?”
“Since I was sixteen,” Dean answered. “It was… Well, we were living in Terrell, Texas at the time. Not much to do down there. I was skipping class with some guys and, well, you get the idea. Man, I thought my dad was going to be so pissed.”
“Was he?”
Dean pursed his lips as he reversed out of the parking spot. “No. I mean, it wasn’t like he was proud, but more like he… Saw it comin’, I guess. He ain’t exactly a role model, anyway -- ever since Mom died, he’s had a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other.”
“How did he find out?”
“Went through my room one time -- he thought I was stealing his liquor -- and found ‘em under my bed. He didn’t tell Sammy, though, so at least there’s that.”
Castiel was quiet. The light from the streetlamps reflected on the road, wet from an earlier rainstorm. Wichita was disconcertingly empty at this hour, with most working people asleep and most college students at the library, studying for the upcoming exams.
Dean broke the silence. “I keep saying I’m gonna quit, you know?” He shook his head. “It’s harder than it seems. I don’t even know what I miss more when I’m off of ‘em -- the ritual or the buzz.”
“I can’t pretend I understand,” Cas said slowly, “I’ve never experienced it. But I know cigarettes are very difficult to leave behind. I don’t think you’re alone in that.”
“I guess.”
They pulled into the Taco Bell drive thru, which, to Castiel, was shockingly busy.
“I’ve never told anyone about this,” Dean said, pointing to the cigarettes. “‘Cause it makes me feel like a dumbass. It’s the twenty-first century, you know, what kind of kid gets addicted to cigarettes?” He laughed quietly. “But it feels good, you knowing.”
Cas smiled softly at him. “You can tell me anything, Dean.”
Dean held his gaze for a moment, something unreadable in his eyes. Cas didn’t look away, taking a moment in the dim illumination of the Taco Bell parking lot to study Dean. He had all the hallmarks of a teenage heartthrob — the chiseled face, the dirty blond hair, the green eyes — but there was something rougher there, too, something that Castiel could never discern.
Dean finally looked away and cleared his throat. “What do you want, man?”
“I’m fine, really,” Cas said.
“Dude.”
“Hi welcome to Taco Bell, what can I get for you,” a bored female voice called from the speaker.
“Hi ma’am, could I just get two crunchwraps, a large diet Coke, and a water, please?”
“Is that all?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Total is eight thirty-two at the window.”
“Thanks.”
Dean rolled the Impala’s window back up and took out his wallet.
“What’s a crunchwrap?” Cas asked him when they were able to pull away from the speaker box. Dean’s head shot up, his eyes shocked.
“You can’t seriously tell me you’ve never been to Taco Bell.”
“I’ve been to Taco Bell, Dean, I’ve just never heard of a crunchwrap,” Cas deadpanned.
“Well, ain’t you in for a treat,” Dean said.
“I told you I wasn’t hungry.”
“Yeah, and I got two anyways.” Dean shot him a grin. “Trust me, you’ll love it.”
Cas reached into his pocket for his own wallet. “At least let me --”
He was cut off by Dean pulling up to the window and thrusting a wad of cash at the man working.
“Thanks, man,” he said when he received the brown paper bag and the two drinks. He set the bag on Castiel’s lap and handed him the water, keeping the diet Coke in his hand as he sped off out of the drive thru.
Dean pulled into a parking spot back at the dorm, and the two exited the Impala. The smell emanating from the bag in Castiel’s hands was making him hungry, and he was suddenly thankful that Dean had thought to order him something.
Dean walked to the front of the car and sat down and motioned for Cas to do the same. He did, taking out one of the crunchwraps and handing it to Dean. He unwrapped his own, but at Dean’s expectant stare, raised an eyebrow. “What?”
“This is a very important moment,” Dean replied. “Go on.”
Cas rolled his eyes, but took a bite. He closed his eyes — he was hungrier than he thought — and when he had finished chewing, said, “This is very good.”
“I knew it!” Dean said, triumphant.
So they sat on the hood of the Impala, Dean emphatically recounting his worst Taco Bell-hangover experiences, Castiel laughing loudly and honestly, stealing sips of Dean’s diet Coke (“What the hell, Cas?” “Well, seeing as you failed to get me a drink more interesting than water”). And when the food was gone, Dean asked if he could smoke, and Cas felt strangely warm and brokenhearted watching his best friend light a cigarette by his side.
It was near four in the morning when they returned to their room. Dean collapsed onto a pink beanbag he had brought to their dorm days earlier. When Cas had raised an eyebrow at the new addition, Dean had said, “Shut up. They’re comfy, and this was all Wal-Mart had.”
“Shit. I’m gonna be dead tomorrow,” Dean said, sighing.
“This was definitely not the most prudent decision,” Castiel agreed as he sat down in his own desk chair. Dean reached for his TV remote.
“Have you ever seen Tombstone?” He asked suddenly. At a shake of the head from Cas, he shot up. “Dude, you’ll love it. It’s one of my favorite movies.”
Dean moved to his desk drawer and procured a DVD case. He took out the disk and gave Cas the plastic case.
“It’s a western?” Cas asked after seeing the promotional picture.
“Hell yes,” Dean said as he put the disk in his DVD player, “And it’s friggin’ awesome.”
“Dean, it’s already four a.m.,” Cas pointed out. Dean waved him off.
“Right, no point in trying to get any sleep now. We gotta commit to the all-nighter. Come on.” Cas rolled his eyes, but relaxed back into his chair, anyway, prepared to watch the movie.
Dean turned the lights off, and the title menu illuminated the dark room. He sat back down in the beanbag, but turned to Cas before he pressed “play.”
“Dude, what are you doing?”
Cas tilted his head in consternation. “Um… Waiting for you to start the movie?”
“You’re going to watch it from all the way back there?”
“Yes?” It came out as a question.
“Like hell. The screen is tiny.” He patted the beanbag. “This thing is big enough for the both of us.”
Castiel seriously doubted that, but got up anyway. Dean adjusted his position so he was only taking up half of the beanbag space. Cas sat down carefully next to him. He tried not to notice Dean’s shoulder pressed against his, the way one wrong move would land his hand squarely in Dean’s lap. Dean hit “play.”
Dean spent the first half of the movie commenting on his favorite parts (which mostly consisted of gushing about Val Kilmer’s… everything). When he started nodding off during the second half, Cas suggested that maybe they should go to bed. Dean stubbornly refused, but ended up falling asleep as Wyatt Earp killed Curly Bill.
“All-nighter,” Cas mumbled to himself upon noticing Dean’s open-mouthed snores. He, too, was exhausted, fighting to stay awake. Cas was moments away from nodding off when Dean shifted. He curled onto his side, his head now placed firmly on top of Cas’ shoulder.
Cas froze. Had he woken up? A snore answered the question with a resounding “no.”
Cas knew he should move. He should turn the TV off, set his seven-thirty alarm, and climb up to his bed to sleep. But he was so tired. And Dean was warm, pressed against his side. And it didn’t matter, anyway. It didn’t mean anything.
Cas didn’t have time to consider why he felt the need to point that out to himself in the first place. The TV remained on, his alarm remained off. He fell asleep, contentedly breathing in the scent of rain and cigarette smoke.

Now, before you throw your outdated iPhone 4 in the trash and dip, all I ask for is a chance. Tada! That’s it! A chance is all I need to prove that math can truly be fascinating (did reading that make you puke just a little?)
Frankly, I’m not very good at intros. But I am good at math, so let’s jump right in, shall we?
Tumblr media
The logic behind the dislike of math is actually ridiculous. It’s a myth. A bigger one than Medusa. Well, at least she had an excuse - those cringey snake hair (tbh, I'm more turned off than scared by them).
And usually, more often than not, this myth has been passed down through our grown-ups, be it parents, a sibling, or some random guy eating burnt popcorn (the guy version of me) at school, because of which they are even the more accepted.
“Math is boring.” “What’s dx, dy anyway? Since when does the alphabet mix in with numbers? They smashed?” Here. Pause and take a moment to think about why you hate math. And also what kind of people you're hanging out with.
Your answer might be something like “because I don’t understand it”. But that’s not the ONLY reason. It’s more of something, say, you never made the effort to understand it. And why was that? Because, heck! Our seniors told us math was going to suck before we even began doing it. They have to be right, RIGHT?
The hate has been coming down since generations. Do you realize now who is to blame? Not math. It’s Adam. He got stuck at 3+3 and started all this drama. Geez, Adam.
Tumblr media
In order to truly enjoy doing math, learn to respect + love it. Or, at least have sympathy for it (math has suffered enough, mate. He deserves to get laid too).
All the love, respect, and eye-roll provoking stuff automatically comes when you break a false belief, create a new one in its place, and take hell-bent-for-glory kind of action. This, in fact, is one of the most popular ways in the self-help department of bringing out your inner conqueror (see book recs: here) but we’re going to use it for math. Yay!
To not freak you out, let’s break it into three itsy-bitsy steps. Three steps to loving math, I got you homie. (Also, welcome to the clickbait life, we killin’ it out here.)
STEP ONE: BREAK YOUR LAME-ASS BELIEFS ALREADY, EMILY.
Here’s stepping into psychology 101. The subconscious mind, which began interacting since the moment you were born, picks up beliefs that may or may not be true. It isn’t the judge (perhaps the reason why we are effed up). Your conscious mind, the real judge, only becomes fully mature when you hit puberty and become a desperate hoe. But unfortunately, it’s late to the party. By that time, your subconscious mind is already the prom queen.
Cutting this short, the beliefs that the subconscious mind gathers, they become our truths. Even when they really aren’t. It’s sad but true.
For instance, if you saw your father struggling with accounts or your sis forgetting what tables were, then your subconscious mind might have assumed: ‘math is difficult’, ‘math needs memorizing’, ‘math leads to crying and pain’, ‘eff math’.
Taking action:
Here’s how to get rid of these false beliefs. Journal subconsciously. This means without a stop, without cuts or edits, in a flow. Next, take up each belief and understand that it was just there for providing comfort and safety (yes, we only hold onto beliefs if they give us something in return. Saying math was difficult probably gave Em an excuse not to take action. It generated sympathy and the teacher might’ve offered his free time for extra coaching).
Then, thank those false beliefs (DO NOT turn this into a self-loathing assignment) for providing that comfort and do that “shoo” motion with your hand. It’s time they ran along. Sounds absurd and simple right? It is that simple. Once you make the decision to let go of your old, fake beliefs, they really do leave you for good. Try it out.
STEP TWO: WELCOME THE NEW-NEW, SHINY BELIEFS.
Next up, we go belief shopping. I assume that if you’re reading this, your conscious mind has already come into play. If not… well, hello there kiddo! The shopping cart is not a go-kart, so please stop swinging it around, and yes, Santa is real, you get to keep that belief, but all the other ‘truths’ mommy spoon-fed you? They may or may not be. Finding out is your homework for today (welcome to my class. I teach life, sons).
Taking action:
In this step, you take up each notion and mould it into something newer, truthier (yes this is an actual word even if it sounds like Greek), and shinier. Say, for example, Emily got sick of flunking math and decided to take action (thank you for doing that, Emily. Honestly). Here’s what her journalling would look like:
“I feel dumb while doing math. It’s too difficult for me.”
This becomes: “I’ve been holding a grudge against math since childhood which blind sighted me. This time I'll give it a chance.”
“Math involves difficult calculations, which is way out of my league. For me, getting that Cali guy's number would be easier than pulling up my math grade.”
This becomes: “Through action, and not screwing around, any shit is possible. A math grade is nothing.” Also, I heard, that guy, Liam? He’s gay. Might as well go on a date with math.
This practice does sound a bit silly, but trust me, the more willing you are, the more easily will you be able to conquer math. #SaveMath.
STEP THREE: TAKE HELL-BENT-FOR-GLORY ACTION
Now that the belief breaking and making part is over, here’s the most important one. To do the goddamn math. *Drumroll*
See, nothing comes without the good ol’ hard work. That’s a fact. In the words of Lilly Singh (who is a total queen and an appreciator of cute puppies and good memes) - “The universe respects your changing of fake values for better ones. However, it respects a good hustle even more.” To get better at math, it’s important to actually do it.
Who’s excited?! *crickets chirping*
Ahem, ok. Here are my tips to get better at it:
Practice.
Math doesn’t even require making notes. Instead, it requires continuous practice. Set aside time to do, say, 10 sums every day, and build up on that. Turn it into a habit so it becomes second nature.
Understanding which way works better.
The fun part about math is that a single sum can be done in ten different ways. 2+2 can be either done by adding two choco chip cookies with two more, or you can just multiply 2 with 2 [ as 2(1+1) = 2(2) = 4 ]. Obviously, the latter works better when you have huge numbers because I know you’re broke and can’t afford cookies (same) and are way too old to go hunting for the cookie jar in your mom's kitchen. Plot twist though, this understanding, again, only comes from practice. So get down to it already.
Increase your speed but don’t compromise on accuracy.
It’s exactly what the title says. What fun is it if mom takes up the entire day to count out the cookies? And then ends up giving you one less cookie than you wanted? It’s the same with doing math. This again comes from practice so…*evil laugh*
Other quick tips (because I like tiny bullet points):
 Don’t use calculators. Stop depending on it and use your mind for once (assuming it isn’t already filled with cat memes).
Get yo’self a timer. Compete with time. If you’re a highly competitive person like me, this will motivate you to work harder and get better.
Every time you see two 2 digit numbers at the same place, (say a car’s no. plate: 2312) add, multiply, and subtract the numbers IN YOUR HEAD. This will improve your basic calculation speed. So 23+12= 35. 23-12=11. 23*12=276. [ as 23(10+2)= 230+46 ].
You can find other tips about math by scrolling through my math tag: (x) (x)
Practice. There’s really no way around that.

Grease is the Word - pt 2
A/N: Oh hey! I started this eons ago and I’m not caught up on all the recent WWE happenings so sorry if it’s a little off! This was originally going in a hurt/comfort direction with the greasy bffs but then SAnitY dropped the tag titles so it went more in a injured Dean Ambrose adopts SAnitY, pity parties with them, more at 11 sort of direction. Here it is in all it’s ramble-y glory!
Note: Set directly following SAnitY losing the NXT Tag Team titles, with Dean’s surgery a couple of days before, and goes through Christmas Raw.
Tagging: @tozawas who I wrote the original for! I hope you enjoy some more of the greasy kids! You rock my socks!
Read part one here: [link]
So maybe going to visit a bunch of batshit NXTers with one good arm isn't really doctor recommended, but hey, if he’s gonna go nuts from the boring ass physical therapy, he might as well have friends on the road to madness.
“Hey guys,” Dean calls out, arriving at the now disclosed undisclosed location Nikki had provided the address of. He enters through the open overhead door but decides to wait for the all clear before exploring further.
It’s...about as expected. Looks like some old warehouse, filled with old oil drums serving as fire pits and furniture that looks like it's been swiped from the local landfill. Kinda reminds Dean of the old Shield safehouses. Huh.
Nikki drops down beside him, hastily removing her round sunglasses and bandanna.
“Oh, it’s you! Hey guys! S’just Dean!” Nikki hollers over her shoulder.
The other members of SAnitY crawl out from their hiding places, shucking off their hastily thrown on jackets and sending warm greetings his way. False alarm.
“How you holding up?” Nikki asks, eyeing Dean’s heavily wrapped arm.
“Well as I can, I guess,” Dean shrugs with one shoulder, putting on a tough front. Getting injured sucks, and there’s a million negative thoughts that should be racing through his head, but Dean’s chosen to reschedule the self-loathing hour in favor of doing something more productive.
Well, Dean’s idea of productive anyway.
“How are you guys holding up?” Dean asks, returning the question.
“They dunnae let me fight.” Nikki’s face scrunches up in way that just radiates annoyance and anger. “I should have taken out Adam, but they didn't let me, they dragged me away.” She kicks at the ground, displacing dust in an irritated motion. “I should have bit ‘is ears off. Those titles were ours.” Her expression softens when she looks back over at her teammates. “Eric’s been up all night planning for revenge. Killian and Wolfe both think it's their fault. They’ve been fighting about it all morning.”
“Well that’s no good,” Dean declares, stepping further into the warehouse. “C’mon, I rented an SUV, we’re going for some team bonding time.”
“Where?” Nikki asks, putting her sunglasses back on.
“Surprise,” Dean says, waving over the boys as best he can. “Can’t say. Let's go! Chop chop!”
Cramming four huge guys (plus Nikki) into a five seater was difficult, but not impossible. Dean insisted on driving, even though he could only use one hand. It would have been a hazard, had Dean’s driving not already been classified as hazardous, so they let it slide.
“Dis...is a McDonald’s,” Nikki notes from the backseat, as they turn into the drive-thru line.
“You got something against Micky D’s?” Dean asks, raising an eyebrow in the rear view mirror. His sunglasses are atrocious, as always. Nikki has half a mind to ask Killian to reach across the console and smack them off Dean’s face, but unfortunately he’s piloting the vehicle she’s currently trapped in.
“I...uh, no?” Nikki responds, looking over to Eric for confirmation. He just shrugs. SAnitY is neutral when it comes to McDonald’s, then.
“Good, because breakfast food is good for the soul, and they got it all day.”
An hour later, sitting beach side and downing McGriddles and sweet tea with her makeshift family, Nikki has to admit a fast food day really was good for the soul.
But not the brain apparently.
“Jesus Alex, slow down,” Dean mutters, as Wolfe begins a chant of “ow” while rubbing at his forehead. “Brainfreeze is a sonofabitch, eh?” Dean chides lightheartedly, plucking the shake from Wolfe’s hand. “Here, let me help you save the few brain cells you got left,” he declares, taking a long, obnoxiously loud sip from the shake.
Alexander’s indignant cry is a source of laughter for the rest of the crew. Said laughter grows when Wolfe plucks Dean’s horrible sunglasses off his face and puts them on; Dean unable to retaliate with his good hand full of milkshake.
Good for the soul, indeed.
“What?!” Dean shouts, spitting beer out across the couch. Nikki gets caught in the spray, but thinks nothing of it as she tries to keep from choking on her strawberry milkshake.
They’ve spent Christmas Day thus far together; Nikki deciding it wasn't worth the money to fly back to Scotland and Dean accepting her (aggressive) invitation once she realized he’d be left alone on Christmas Day. Somehow they’d acquired some Five Guys burgers and a 12 pack of Bud Lite that Dean was now steadily working through prior to the start of Monday Night Raw.
It’s been a blast so far, watching Raw together in Nikki’s apartment. They’d been doing their own commentary to go with whatever Michael Cole and Co. were rambling on about, and cracking all sorts of jokes that probably weren't even that funny but were just side-splitting in the moment to them.
It’s been an up and down kinda Raw, but they’ve kept it entertaining, from booing the boring parts and chucking empty beer cans at the flatscreen, to Dean loudly cheering on Roman’s quest for vengeance, to Nikki singing along and imitating Asuka’s entrance as her music hit. They flipped off Samoa Joe together when he appeared, and Nikki blew a kiss to Renee for Dean, who’s one good arm was occupied holding his can of beer. Not your average Christmas, but it's been a good time thus far, Dean’s gotta admit.
God, the ending though. Not much was gonna save that.
“T’ats fuckin’ bull!” Nikki shouts, regaining use of her voice.
“Fuckin’ Jason Jordan? With the tag belt? What?!” Dean yells, eyes wide, slamming his beer can down on Nikki’s battered coffee table. “That’s fuckin’—” Dean trails off, pulling at his hair in anguish. “M’gonna kill Seth, I’m gonna wring his friggin’ neck—”
“How?” Nikki asks, halting Dean’s train of thought.
“What?”
“How are you gonna wring ‘is neck?” Nikki questions, chewing on her straw. “You got one arm.”
“This...is true,” Dean concedes. He isn't really sure how to follow that up. It's real hard to plan for vengeance when you know you’re injured and you can picture Roman Reigns making a disappointed dad face. Real hard.
“I got two arms,” Nikki states. Matter-of-factly. Mathematically. It takes two arms to choke out your idiot little brother. Dean has two but can't use one. Nikki has two arms. Can they still murder Seth freakin’ Rollins? Solve for x.
“This...is also true,” Dean smirks. He’s shit at math but that adds up. Somehow.
Nikki looks excited, wanting to defend his honor in some strange sort of (homicidal) way, and Dean’s touched, honestly. It's strange to see anyone getting that angry on his behalf besides Roman, and Nikki is...a little bit smaller than the Big Dog, to say the least. She’s no less deadly, however, and Dean is real, real glad she’s on his side. It's good to have friends. Friends who care, even better.
Maybe they’re just empty threats, (god knows Dean’s tried to bury Seth before, and no amount of steel cages and concrete would keep either of them down) but Nikki and Dean have fun plotting the ridiculous ways they could take out Seth for the rest of the night and into morning.
And maybe if he had Nikki text a couple of those threats to Seth from her phone, well...Seth could use some humbling every now and then, right?
“Question,” Roman inquires over the phone a couple of days later.
“Shoot,” Dean says, balancing his cell between his shoulder and his ear while he tries to tie his boot laces without throwing his arm out. My kingdom for some Velcro.
“Seth’s been jumping at shadows since Christmas. From what I could catch, he thinks some NXT kids are stalking him or something,” Roman explains. “You uh...wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?”
“Nope,” Dean replies.
Ro just sort of chuckles, knowing instinctively that Dean, as always, is full of shit.
Dean says his goodbyes to Roman, playing up the innocent act for Rome’s amusement. Roman wouldn’t condone Seth getting hurt, (he is their brother, even when he’s being an absolute asshat) but hey, a little paranoia-inducing rib never hurt anybody.
His phone chimes a minute or two after ending the call with Roman. It’s a text from an number he recognizes as Nikki’s. No message, just a slightly blurry photo of Eric Young waiting behind the concrete of some area backstage, with Seth in the far background, unaware.
Dean can imagine the terror SAnitY’s presence was forcing on an unsuspecting Seth Rollins. Sometimes the Hounds of Justice need a little justice of their own, it seems.
That’s for giving away my tag title, asshole, Dean thinks, cracking a smile at the mayhem. He’ll text Seth later and tell him it’s all good, but for now he’s gonna enjoy making the Kingslayer sweat a little. It’s his job as his brother to keep him in line anyway.
He texts Nikki back a thank you and gets a picture of Eric and her giving a thumbs up in response.
It’s good to have friends.

Can I ask why the guidance counselor's assistant wanted to fight you to the point of stalking? This wasn't Recruiter Scott or whatever his name was, was it? Why did you have multiple adult stalkers that's really fucked up btw
You are thinking of a different blog with the stalker recruiter story sorry, I’m like 98% sure it was @ gallusrostromegalus.
But anyway- the Assistant. It was a brand new job for her and she wanted to do Really Well. There were a couple of guidance counselors at the school, and I’m not sure if she was working for all of them or just my specific guy, but. I was apparently the only transfer student or something that year (10th grade) so she literally latched on to me. It was so weird. Like at first it was just sorta, oh, okay, she just wants to make sure I’m adjusting to the new school well, okay. But then she just…wouldn’t leave me alone? Like she kept showing up outside of my classes to talk to me, and she kept pulling me out of lunch to make me eat with her so we could discuss how stuff was going. But then she’d be like…Molly, you aren’t making any friends! What’s the problem? And I’d be like, you literally keep pulling me out of lunch where I have an entire table full of friends who are wondering where I am! But she never believed me??? Because I was sitting at an all senior table (two of the girls I knew thru theater) and she like. Didn’t believe seniors would be my friends or something?
And she just kept doing stuff like this like…I got into an academic problem at one point because my history teacher forgot to grade an important essay, but before my meeting with him she was on a tangent about how my grades are constantly in peril of failing (they weren’t) and even after the teacher showed up and literally said, “Sorry, this was my mistake, I remember Molly’s essay on Roanoke very well, I can’t believe I forgot to enter the grade” she was like…still acting like it was my fault? Like I acted irresponsibly somehow that made him forget to enter the grade for a paper I turned in and he read? And she did this with all my classes. Like she just kept really over exaggerating how bad I was doing in them (Like, I was only really having any issues in math and science, and none of those issues were Failure Worthy, like, I was still a pretty average student?) She kept trying to call Academic Emergency Meetings™ with like me, my mom and the teachers and every time they’d be like “She’s fine why are we here” it was so weird.
I think the problem was she probably had a hold of my transcripts- when I switched school’s they made me come in to take an aptitude test or an iq test or something, and I got a REALLY HIGH score on that and the school was all excited and kept telling me about their honors programs, but then they got the transcripts of my grades and were like “oh. Well. Why don’t we start you off in a nice normal class”. And I think she must’ve probably saw that and determined I wasn’t applying myself or something, but the actual problem was just I Was That Unfortunate Kid Who Did Bad On Standardized Tests No Matter What. Like, give me a paper or a report and I’m fine, but tests just never worked out for some reason, it was so annoying. But of course that’s a Ridiculous Excuse, Molly, and I think she must’ve come up with the idea that like if she can make me try harder I’d be an amazing student and she could take all the credit for it?
So it gets to the point where this woman is following me from class to class, badgering me the whole way about how I must be the laziest student she’s ever seen, and then she keeps pulling me out of lunch to complain even more about how I’m not applying myself or putting myself out there enough and that’s why I can’t find a place to fit in at the school, because obviously the fact some woman was stealing literally ALL of my free time had absolutely nothing to do with that, that’d be ridiculous. This went on the ENTIRE first semester.
And as I mentioned in the post I referenced this lady in- I had a partially torn Achilles tendon that wasn’t healing properly, so I was really slacking in gym class. Like, I just really need to paint the picture of why I was putting off gym class: I was told to stay off my feet as much as possible. But this was a BIG SCHOOL (the distract blew like all their money on it making it the huge and ridiculous with way too many features and then they were like ‘wow oops suddenly we’re poor’). I had classes all over the school. So even if I didn’t have gym one day, it’d still be enough walking that my ankle would be swollen by the time I got home. And the gym classes were like “run laps for six minutes and then do ridiculous amounts of stretches until the teacher gets bored and then get shoved into a game of soccer or whatever with the most competitive kids in the school”, and then the big ‘final’ grade for the semester was to run the mile in however many minutes. And if I can’t get through gym class without tapping out or heading to the nurse’s office, there’s no way I could have run a mile. So, I kept putting it off. The gym teacher’s still weren’t accepting my story without a doctor’s note, so I just, uh, started getting the stomach bug on days they rescheduled it to. And here’s the thing- like 97% of gym class is just showing up. By all means, I was passing gym class. If I just didn’t run the mile, it wouldn’t have even brought me to a failing grade, it just wouldn’t have been a grade up to the standard’s of this ridiculously fitness obsessed high school (I remember when I told them my 9th grade school didn’t have gym class, they all looked like they were gonna have a stroke from the sheer shock of it).
So this lady, who is 100% stalking me by this point, to the point where teachers and other students are asking me wtf is going on, I’d walk out and see her and literally feel sick I was getting so annoyed- but she’s loosing her shit about this gym thing. She kept trying to convince me that I was making the biggest mistake of my life by ditching the mile (and like first off, she had no proof I hadn’t been sick, so I was insulted by that), that not running the mile was going to leave a permanent stain on my record, this was totally going to effect my entire academic career, they were going to SUSPEND me if I didn’t run it, and like…I am a shy ass person!!! I couldn’t bring myself to ask anyone for help with this situation because the concept of talking to people was scary!!! Like, my mom new it was a Problem but she figured it was just because I was a new student. I definitely knew what was going on was an issue, but I was like 15 and couldn’t figure out how to stand up for myself and get her to leave me alone. I take ‘being polite’ to the point of a character flaw, sometimes.
So, one day, after pulling me out of class like five times to tell me I absolutely have to go to this mile run, because it’s the last after-school scheduled one before they like, I don’t know, kill me and sacrifice my body fat to the gods or something, I’m trying to sneak onto the bus because dude. My ankle was visibly throbbing. You could literally SEE it moving it hurt so bad. This woman intercepted me and like practically dragged me to the track- which was, of course: To the front office, out a secret side door, across two parking lots, up five different flights of steps, and down a winding path before we FINALLY get to the track- and I’m trying to like, not be forced into this, like hey teachers, would you just literally look at my leg for a moment- And this woman fucking snaps. Starts going off like, I’m a bitch and an awful student and incapable of making friends, I’m too lazy and I’m never gonna succeed in life, she spent like!!! 10 minutes telling me that I’m the worst person to exist!!! It was so fucking ridiculous. I tried to speak up for myself at that point, which just enraged her more and like, you could tell she was getting ready to physically fight me. Like this woman was literally going to pounce on me, one of the teacher’s made her leave at that point and she just stormed off. So I’m like, Totally Not Crying and can barely walk and just almost got punched by a guidance counselor, but, oh, well, you missed your bus, and in the time it’ll take for your mother to come get you, you might as well just run the mile!!!!
I was LIMPING by the end of it (and I finished like, 20 minutes after the other students that had to make it up, so I got a bad grade on it ANYWAY). I was then left to my own devices to get back to the front of the school where my mother was to pick me up, and I wasn’t very well acquainted with the outside of the building yet, so after getting turned around more times than I’m proud of I finally get there, literally crawling and Totally Not Crying.
My mom called my guidance counselor the next day and like- honestly, this poor man. He was this tiny old, Mister Roger’s knock-off who barely spoke above a whisper. My mom literally M U R D E R E D him oh my God the other people in the front office could hear her yelling through his phone.
I don’t know if the lady got fired or if the school just did a Very Good Job at keeping her away from me, but I never saw her again after that. She was not missed.

Some of the best worst movies I have ever seen
Here are some of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life but most of them can qualify under the so bad it's good/funny category where you can laugh with a group of friends, anyways heres the list. (Note: most of these movies are liked for the joke/meme of them, and have gained popularity for people just hating on them and stuff) (Note 2: most of these movies can be enjoyed or not be enjoyed by yourselves but if you can you should watch these movies with friends for an overall better experience)(note 3: this is the last note, I'm going for of a more critical, exaggerated, and sarcastic style in this so I hope that comes through clearly, just letting you know cause it's rare we talk about bad content on this blog series and I wanted to kind of emulate the content creators that review this type of crappy content)
Ratatoing (2007)
By that title your probably thinking it's a ripoff of the popular Disney-Pixar movie Ratatouille from 2007, well you are right about that, for the most part (you'll see). This movie is made by the animation studio named Studio Brinquedo, a Brazilian studio that has made countless ripoffs of more popular movies such as (Kung Fu Panda- The Little Panda Fighter, The Little Cars- Cars, and much... MUCH more) in the hopes of parents being fooled into thinking this is that one cool movie my child was talking about so maybe I'll buy this to entertain my kid, most times it is a nightmare of a film that the kids hate. This movie was released before Ratatouille came out so it is really just loosely based on what the movie was about because all they had to steal from was Teaser and Offical trailers. It is about a rat who owns a restaurant who is popular amongst the rats in the area, his food is very popular. He gets his ingredients from humans which is a thing that could get him killed or whatever. Yeah it's a terrible movie with terrible Animation and weird transitions. Honestly it is such a weird movie to experience but if you are going to watch it, watch with friends (I watched it with my old friend Tyler and we had fun, I also watched it with my mom and she absolutely hated it 😂)

FoodFight! (2012)
FoodFight! is a 2012 animated garbage can (*cough* *cough* FILM) is a hot mess of terrible animation, weird dialogue, and a suprising intresting history. Foodfight! started its history in 1999, with them animating the film for a 2002 release, when something bad happened. The hard drives that contained the animations for the film were stolen (OH NO!!). The people started from scratch years later and finished the movie for a 2012 release date (10 years after the atrocity that was the theft of the pirate treasure known as Foodfight!). The movie was super critically panned with most people saying it was the worst thing they have ever seen in their entire lives. I would agree with that, again watch with a friend for riffing and making fun of this cinematic masterpiece.
(Fun fact: this movie had a budget of 45-65 million dollars but only made back 74,000$ in its limited release)

Birdemic: Shock and Terror
Birdemic: Shock and Terror is a horrific horror of a bird crap movie. This movie is probably the worst live action movie I have seen, but is certainly an experience. This movie has underlying themes of Global Warming and the environment, while tackling the everyday problem of killer birds. The movie's budget was less than 10,000$ and it truly shows, with the audio sounding as muffled as a broken drive thru order speaker, the ugly animations, and laughable effects, it is definitely an experience to watch it but you should watch it to make fun of it. I watched this with my mom and we both laughed at how awfully bad and unintentionally funny it was.

Sharknado series of movies
I couldn't pick one movie out of all 6 movies (that's right 6 movies). From the original Sharknado telling the basic story of a tornado with sharks in them in California, Sharknado 2: The Second One dealing with Sharknados in New York City, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! with the Sharknado in Florida, Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens with the Sharknado in Las Vegas area I think I kinda forgot, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming with Multiple Sharknados across the globe, or the last installment The Last Sharknado: It's About Time dealing with Time Travel and the Sharknados effect on World History, I just couldn't pick one. They are probably the most watchable on this list its just such a funny and ridiculous concept you cant help but laugh at it, and with some crazy death scenes and shark killings, it is an amazing series that rivals Star Wars and The Godfather for the greatest film franchise of all time.

The Room (2003)
The most famous and notorious bad movie on this list is The Room. The movie was Written, Produced, and Directed by Tommy Wiseau, starring Tommy Wiseau as the main character and lead actor. It stars Wiseau as Johnny, a character that has a fiance named Lisa, who loves Johnny's best friend named Mark, along with other plots. It's a funny bad movie that is famous for its multiple quotes ("Oh Hi Mark", "Oh Hi Doggy", "That's a cool story Mark"), bad overacting, and famous Midnight Screenings including Throwing Footballs and Spoons at the screen, and Everyone quoting the lines out loud at once. It is a bad movie but one of the more enjoyable movies on this list.

Conclusion
Here are some of the worst but also most unintentionally funny movies in my opinion. Have a great week and stay safe!

The College Years - Freshman Year (Chapter 4) - Stiles Stilinski
Author: @were-cheetah-stiles
Title: “The First Patrol”
Characters: Stiles Stilinski & Reader/OFC
Warnings: Fluff, a teensy bit of explicit language. I think.
A.N.: Feel free to listen to any of the songs that I mentioned in the piece… or don’t let me tell you what to do. That’s also fine.
Summary: Stiles and Y/N go on your first patrol together to look for vampires in Berkeley.
Additional Note: I just realized that I have an issue with my timeline, like a very minor one, but whatever, try to ignore it as I clearly have been and will continue doing.
Chapter Three - Chapter Four - Chapter Five
Tumblr media
“So what are we supposed to be doing or looking for tonight?” You asked, breaking the silence. Stiles had picked you up in his old, light blue Jeep about a half hour before and besides small pleasantries, you two had not spoken much.
“Well, vampires… we are definitely looking for vampires for starters.” Stiles teased, grinning as he kept his face forward, watching the road in front of him.
“Oh good to know cause I was definitely not sure about that one.” You said sarcastically in return, a deep blush rising to your whole face.
Stiles chuckled softly and continued with more sincerity. “I don’t know, anything that just looks out of place, or seems shady. If you see a group of pale guys walking around at four in the morning, I think that’s a group that we follow…” Stiles glanced at you, you were nodding and watching him speak. He smiled slightly and looked back at the road.
“Okay, I can keep an eye out for that stuff… I mean, I am a New Yorker so my ’someone is being sketchy at night’ radar is finely tuned.” You joked.
“Is New York really that dangerous?” Stiles asked, skeptical.
“No.. not really, but I mean, when you are a small female, like myself, and you’re out late walking back to the train from like a concert or something and you’re alone?.. You know what your surroundings are. A measure of constant vigilance is just necessary, you know?” You answered honestly.
“That makes sense….” Stiles paused, not wanting the conversation to stop but not sure of where he should direct it next. “So why’d you leave New York? Left Coast really is the best coast?” He teased.
“You wish..” You smirked at him. “No, I just, I needed a change. Some weird… family stuff has happened in the past few years and I kind of wanted to escape… Don’t get me wrong, I love New York - it’s my home, it’s definitely where my heart is - but I needed a change and besides the vampires, Berkeley is pretty great too..”
“What kind of family stuff… if you don’t mind me asking…” Stiles was paying less attention to the road in front of him than he should’ve been and hit a pot hole that disagreed with the shocks in his car. He knew he’d pay for it later in rolls and rolls of duct tape.
You sighed. “It’s… really complicated, but I guess the biggest thing was my parents splitting up. It kind of sucked to be around and I, I really wanted out..” You explained, trying to maintain a smile, and not really wanting to tell the whole story and unload all of your baggage on this cute boy that you barely knew.
“I’m sorry, that definitely sucks.”
“It’s okay… Not a big deal.” You always underplayed how big of a deal it actually was to outsiders. “What about you?… Actually!” You stopped yourself mid-sentence, wanting desperately to veer the subject towards something cheerier. “I’m really curious as to how you became such an avid Mets fan.. did you live in New York when you were a kid or something?”
Stiles laughed. He took any opportunity ever to talk about his beloved Mets. “No, my mom grew up there. Actually, her grandparents emigrated through Ellis Island from Poland and anyway… she just got me onto the Mets at an early age because that’s what her parents raised her on.”
“Okay, well that makes sense.” You smiled, enjoying this conversation more than the previous one. “So how did your parents meet then? Was your Dad from New York as well?”
“No, he’s a California boy, born and raised, just like me. They met in college and she moved to Beacon Hills where he grew up and that’s where they raised me.”
“What do they do?” You asked, watching him drive and not watching for anything suspicious outside of the car.
“My dad is the Sheriff of the Beacon County Sheriff’s Department,” You nodded, and Stiles hesitated. “… and my mom was a teacher, but she died when I was ten so..” Stiles pressed his lips together, and stared ahead.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to….” Stiles shook his head, letting you know it was okay. You instinctively reached your hand over to his shoulder and rested it there for a moment. “I can’t imagine how hard that was.. and probably still is.” Your hand dropped back into your lap and you sat in an uncomfortable silence for a brief moment.
Stiles appreciated how sincerely and empathetically you comforted him, and glanced over at you. He smiled out of the corner of his mouth and made a right turn. He decided on a pit stop during their patrol that he hoped you would like. “It’s okay..” He finally said, catching some eye contact with you. “I miss her but I’m grateful I got the time that I did, and at least she taught me to be better than a Yankees fan….” Stiles smirked, his nostrils flaring as the devilish grin spread across his face.
“OH! I see how it is.” You smacked your lips and nodded your head, a smirk resting on his lips as well. You paused, checking your surroundings. “Aren’t we driving away from campus?” You questioned, catching what the last street sign said.
“Yea, I figured that since this is your first stakeout, patrol, whatever, that we were missing one key ingredient.” Stiles grinned and pulled into the drive-thru of a famous Californian eatery. “Have you ever had In-N-Out Burger?”
“Of course.” You laughed. He gave his order into the box and you ordered a chocolate milkshake and an animal style cheeseburger, and tried to offer to pay Stiles for her half, but he refused. You smiled to yourself thinking how his mother had also raised him to be a gentleman in her short time with him.
You took a bite of the burger and cocked your head to the side, wiping sauce off your cheek, you smiled. “Still not Shake Shack…” You shook your head and lifted the straw to your milkshake to your small, but supple pink lips, curved up in a teasing smile.
Stiles enjoyed the playful nature of your relationship so far. He knew that he needed someone who could dish it out as much as he always did with everyone. “Oh come on! Shake Shack is the worst. Nothing compared to In-N-Out!” He yelled as you two sat in the brightly lit parking lot outside of the restaurant.
“Have you ever even had Shake Shack?!” You demanded to know with a serious smile.
“I mean no, but I don’t have to to know that it’s inferior to this.” Stiles took an exaggeratedly large and messy bite of his burger, while making direct eye contact with you.
You laughed loudly, making Stiles get butterflies in his stomach, and the blood rush to his cheeks. “Okay, well, I am very serious about Shake Shack.” You grinned. “So I’ll make you a deal. If you ever come out to New York, which now you have to, I will take you to a Met’s game at Citifield, WHERE THERE IS A SHAKE SHACK IN THE STADIUM..” You raised your voice jokingly to make a point, eliciting a laugh from Stiles, which elated you. “and we can decide then who the real winner is.” You pointed at yourself, intimating that you would eventually be victorious.
Stiles was grinning so hard over the fact that this beautiful and funny and interesting girl wanted to basically take him on a date where she promised to feed him and take him to see his favorite team in the world. “You’ve got yourself a deal… maybe a Subway Series game, then we can see who’s really the best on all fronts: Mets or Yankees and In-N-Out or Shake Shack.”
“You are so on.” You put your hand out to shake his, letting him now that you meant business. You took another sip of your shake, and thought of a story he would like. “You know, my Dad is actually a huge Mets fan, but my mom, sister and I all love the Yankees, and once, when I was like seven or eight, he took us to Shea Stadium, their old stadium..” Stiles nodded, finishing his burger while you talked. “and I’m pretty sure that the Mets weren’t even playing the Yankees, but I wore this huge oversized Yankees t-shirt and baseball cap to the game anyway, and I kept walking up and down the stairs near our seats and like glaring at the Mets fans…” The two of you had dissolved into a fit of giggles as you tried to finish the story. “…and all these die-hard, lifelong Mets fan.. old men kept like yelling obscenities at me and I was just like ’The Mets Suck!’” You shook your head as you remembered how ridiculous you were that day.
Stiles was still laughing. “I’m surprised no one like threw a hot dog at you or something.”
You covered your face with both of your hands as you laughed. “I know!…. I would’ve deserved it. What a little asshole.”
“Nah, I bet you were really cute…” Stiles smiled and broke eye contact, staring down at the empty wrappers. “Uh, should we head back towards campus?” He turned the keys in the ignition and listened to the engine turn over. You nodded and adjusted your seatbelt back over your body.
Stiles watched you sipping at your milkshake and staring out the window. The street lamps highlighted your face in a way that made the butterflies come back as he drove back towards Berkeley, returning to your neglected patrol. “Do you mind if I put on some music?” He asked as he plugged his iPhone into his radio. You shook your head and listened as “Jesus Christ” by Brand New began playing through his speakers.
“You listen to Brand New?” You asked, a stunned look on your face.
“Yea, you know them?” Stiles asked, nonchalantly.
“…Of course.. They’re from New York, they’re huge around where I grew up….. I wonder what else you listen to…” You smirked at him.
“I guess you’ll just have to see what comes next on the playlist tonight.” Stiles was playing it as cool as possible. He did listen to and like Brand New but he played it especially because he hoped you would know them and it would give him some points with you.
“You know I can play this song on guitar?” You boasted, not being able to help yourself. You hadn’t felt this connected with someone since you left home and moved across the country.
“You play guitar? I play drums.” Stiles boasted back.
“The drums are super cool, and definitely way too hard for me to learn, so I’m impressed.” You smiled and looked down at your feet.
“I could teach you some simple stuff sometime..” Stiles offered. You nodded. “So what kind of music do you listen to?”
You sucked air into your mouth and grinned.“I guess you’ll just have to wait and see what comes up on my playlist when I drive on Tuesday night for our next patrol.”
“Okay, okay… I see how it is.” Stiles chuckled and nodded his head, sucking on the backs of his teeth. “What about movies? What’s your favorite movie?”
“Oh, I do not wanna say. It’s very nerdy and guys never believe me when I tell them and they end up quizzing me to see if I’m lying or something stupid like that.. What’s your favorite?”
“No, no, I asked first and, now I have to know.” Stiles laughed. You really knew how to pique his interests. “I promise, I will not quiz you or make fun.” Stiles lifted one hand off his steering wheel like he was taking a pretend oath to you.
You took an exaggerated breath. “Fine. My favorite movie is Star Wars. Not just one, like the franchise as a whole I just love so much. Even the ones people make fun of. I am loyal to Lucas.” You joked.
“No. Fucking. Way.” Stiles replied, trying to stare at you and not crash at the same time. Your eyes got really big as you looked back at him, worried about what he was going to say next. You had dug yourself into a nerdy grave, you knew it. “Who shot first?”
Your jaw dropped, and you tried to suppress a smile. “YOU SAID YOU WOULDN’T QUIZ ME!” You yelled, and playfully shoved his arm. “And Han, of course, you asshole..” You laughed.
“Oh my god. Marry me?” Stiles joked, getting red over what he had just said out loud. You grinned bashfully and scratched a non-existent itch on your nose, trying to hide how red you got over that comment. “Star Wars is my all time favorite movie too. I remember the first time I saw it so vividly.”
“Me too!” You interjected, turning your body towards Stiles who was now just aimlessly and slowly driving through the Southern part of Berkeley’s off campus housing.
“Okay, your story first.” Stiles insisted.
You giggled, and leaned your head against the headrest to stare at Stiles as he drove. You tried not to focus on the cute upturn at the very tip of his nose, or the way that he messily shoved his hair up with gel, and how you usually hated that look but for him it was really working. “Um, so we had gone up to Cape Cod to visit some family and it was 1997, so I was just five years old, and I guess it was a rainy day or something but we went to the movies, and it was in theaters because it was the twentieth anniversary so they re-released it.”
Stiles cut you off. “I’m sorry, did you say that you were five in 1997?” You nodded. “Okay, so you’re two years older than me. We’re gonna discuss that later. Continue…”
You laughed quietly. “Okay, so I sat next to my cousin, who is older than me, and he was already obsessed with the movies and I remember watching him watch the opening crawl and he was so enthralled and excited, and then I remember the big starcruiser ships coming into view and I was hooked. That was it. I remember it like it was yesterday. It has been my favorite movie ever since. I even dressed up as an ewok that Halloween and Princess Leia the following year.. I loved it.”
“I’m going to need to see those pictures one day.” He joked, the butterflies floating through his stomach again. “I was seven when I first saw it and it was a crummy summer day for me too and it was my Dad’s off day and he was like ‘let’s watch my favorite movie growing up.’ We watched it and I remember thinking that Darth Vader was crazy scary but cool and that Han Solo was the man and that Leia was like the woman I was going to marry.” You laughed. “I was so into it that we watched all three that day, and then my mom got home and she was so pissed. She was like 'Noah, have you even taken Stiles outside today?! It’s beautiful out now. Have you fed him?!’ Meanwhile, my dad and I are covered in empty bags of popcorn, potato chips and candy wrappers. It’s still one of my favorite memories from growing up, and it is my favorite movie still too.”
“That’s really cute.” You mused, with a gentle smile.
Stiles blushed. “The funniest part is that the next day… Scott was already my best friend at this point… I went over to his house and I was like 'DUDE! We have to watch this movie!’ and Scott was like 'Meh’ and he has still never fucking watched it. It kills me.” Stiles laughed to himself, and saw you shaking your head.
“His loss.”
“Totally.”
“So how did you and Scott become friends?” You asked, as you two continued driving around aimlessly, and two hours left before sunrise.
You both drove around the rest of your patrol, not actually patrolling at all, but instead completely engrossed in each other’s stories. You talked more about movies, food, and stories about Scott and Stiles growing up, and what life was like after Scott got bit by Peter. You kept each other awake during an especially long shift and the crush that Stiles had developed on you grew substantially when he learned that you were so much more than just a pretty girl. You were funny, smart, quick, and had a ton in common with him.
He dropped you off at your front door, waving as you got out of the car. He felt like he had just been on the greatest date of his life and he was devastated it was over, and furthermore, not actually a date. He wanted to kiss you so badly. Nothing crazy or intense; he just wanted to see what your lips would feel like. He’d spent most of the night staring at them. He walked in the door as Scott was making coffee before his early morning shift at a local dog shelter, and crashed his body into their long faux suede black couch.
“How was patrol with Y/N?” Scott asked, his voice still hoarse from sleeping.
“Great, man. It was so good.” Stiles yawned and kicked his shoes off, a sleepy grin plastered to his face.
Scott narrowed his eyes and walked over to Stiles, a cup of steaming coffee in his hand. “So good? Did you even patrol or did you and Y/N just flirt all night?” Scott grinned a little.
“We patrolled…. a little… there was no flirting though. I was just getting to know her, you know, talking to keep each other awake.” Stiles barely believed himself.
“Do you think she likes you?” Scott asked his best friend, in between sips of the hot beverage.
“I don’t know, Scotty. Maybe. I definitely like her. She has the greatest laugh… it’s like……” Stiles trailed off and just shook his head, smiling from ear to ear.
“Alright, well try to actually do some patrolling next time in between all your 'talking’ and maybe we won’t have to save her from vampires again.”
Stiles ignored Scott, laying on the couch with his hands folded across his chest. He drifted off to sleep thinking about how you looked in the passenger seat of his car, the warm glow of street lamps racing across your face as he drove.

im crying not only bc of your amazing writing, but bc i was scrolling thru my dashboard and i saw you answering all these asks about new rules and i’m so dump thinking that you set up new rules or sthg, i didn’t understand it so i read all those asks and fucking spoiled myself kmp, but on another note yOU FUCKING ROCK OMG NEW RULES IS SO AMAZING I LOVE IT 💘💘💘
Anonymous said:I'M LOVING NEW RULES SO MUCH just wanted to show my support. i love your writing in general don't get me wrong but new rules is messing with my heart and it's amazing
Anonymous said:Hi! I just read both parts for "New Rules" and I loved them! If this goes in the same direction as Dua Lipa sings (I guess it will) it sounds like it'll be very interesting. I love how everyone in the story is human, not just good or bad, you know? 90% of fics would've made Mijoo the stereotypical barbie bitch, but you didn't and I was pleasantly surprised! I also feel very identified with the OC. I really want her to open up and discover who JK really is, whoever that is. Keep up the good work!
jabaelashit said:Hey! i already wrote you a message on one of your posts but i just wanted to say that i am feeling so skabakks right now, I can't stop thinking about new rules and i'm torn between crying or crying but w angsty. I hope oc learns her worth and can understand she's just as amazing as mijoo, even better if we're talking about morals but oh well people fuck up:( I'm glad she forgave her but I hope she distances from her cause that gurl ain't having the same respect for the friendship as oc/1
jabaelashit said:and i also hope she gets to tell jimin her feelings not to like make him break stuff w mijoo, but to let him know she hadnt seen the note and to release some pressure and feelings cause oc bottles up so much and i just want to go and hug her and don't leave her until she understands shes fucking badass and cool and that the way she thinks is 👏👏👏 lu you've made me feel such a diverse amount of emotions i don't know what to do w myself anymore, your writing is amazing! love love loove you❣/2
Anonymous said:Hey!!:) idk if this is the right place to send compliments cause im really new to tumblr but THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR FICS. Tbh I'd buy it if you published a physical compilation;)
Anonymous said:Wow for the longest time I was searching your old username; idek why cause I’ve known you changed your username and have been keeping up to date with you LMAO this is what being sick and delirious does to me. ANYWAYS! Hope you’re not too down with the crazy anons your story is great and I’m thankful for the dynamic characterizations you create! It makes it so much more interesting cause you create many characters with depth!!
Anonymous said:Can I please just have your writing talent? The OC is just so real, and that moment when she's deciding what to do with Mijoo, and what she actually says at the end.... I can't actually put my thoughts into words. I'm legit stunned by the sheer amount of emotions I felt reading the second chapter. I genuinely adore the banter between JK and OC, I personally prefer people to be more direct with what they want, so I already appreciate them, but also Jimin's convo with OC... (1/2)
Anonymous said:Jimin's convo with OC... Idk about these other anons going off on Mijoo, I was more thinking 'why didn't Jimin chase the note?' and then he would have had his answer then and there. But that might have just been me... And also, thinking back to it now, when JK said 'I need you' and OC repeated it back to him like super softly, like she was surprised oh god, okay, my heart is breaking even more for OC now, idk if I'm reading too much into it. I love you Lu, I hope you're well, and happy! (2/2)
Anonymous said:I love your fics so much!! The sass is real esp with jungkook 😂
Anonymous said:Anyways do ya thang hunny ✨ Keep wrecking me with your writings 💞✨💞✨💞✨💞✨💞✨😩
Anonymous said:Read part 1 of New Rules and was like yeah thisll be fun, I'll have a great time. Then I read part 2 and ended up shedding some real tears at the end?!?! LU WHAT THE...... But really though its so nice to read a fic where the OC values friendship. The idea that its always girls against girls makes me sad.. we should be sticking together!!
Anonymous said:so... surprise surprise, dis gon be about new rules 😂 but I really wanted to thank you for adding so much of the oc's inner dialogue, and making her such a character in the first place. a lot of fics do not portray ocs with more defeatist attitudes, but yours does and I was glad, because I could finally relate to a fic :) also, coming back to the inner dialogue thing, it was so in depth that i could really feel what the oc was feeling, what she was going through. it was amazing ❤️ thank you!
Anonymous said:Man this is one hell of a good fic i’m highly anticipating the next chapter!!! Even though it seems like traditional frat fuckboy x ‘i hate frat bois but ye i’d fuck u’ type of girl it still is in a way a little different i just can’t quite catch how but nonetheless it’s amazing!!! Keep up the good work babe
oceanjoon said:ok so ur newest fic new rules literally is so real n relatable !! like honestly i understand seeking physical comfort in people u dont care about wen u r feeling down/insecure to validate urself n it just rlly hit home
kyarybunny said:Lu. At this point I have so many compliments to give you I can't really form it all properly. But I really am enjoying New Rules and this plot you're breathing life into! It's a different facet of your writing and I love how you can interpret every character's actions in a few different ways. Thank you for continuing to write and I hope you enjoy writing as much as we do reading/analyzing.
Anonymous said:Istg when I read the new chapter of New Rules I clenched my fist like that Arthur meme when it came up to the part about mijoo and the note. Girl got me heated lol. As usual, your works do not disappoint! I love your wittiness and how it shines in your writing. The remarks and dialogue in all of your series really proves your talent. You’re truly a gem amongst fanfic writers 💕☺️📢
Anonymous said:i was happily reblogging a few things on my dash and ch1 of new rules just came and i started reading WHERE THE FUCK DID I GET MY ASS INTO???!!!???!?! IT'S FUCKING AMAZING i don't know why i didn't start reading before. don't you ever dare stop writting, you're such a good writter and i enjoy your works very very much
Anonymous said:OC DESERVES HAPINESS JUST AS MUCH AS MIJOO. OC SHOULDVE PUT HERSELF AND HER HAPPINESS BEFORE HER FRIEND'S BECAUSE SHE IS TOO GOOD FOR ALL OF THEM DJFJFJ i hope one day jimin finds out about her feelings :(
Anonymous said:new rules just keeps getting better and better 😻😻
Anonymous said:Wow.. Okay.. I do believe chapter 2 of New Rules has officially ruined me. My heart was actually beating so fast through out the whole chapter, and it's still racing now too. I've thought this multiple times while reading your fics, but you're writing really is incredible. Your characters and the way you describe their emotions is so unbelievably relatable that the reader can't help but be sucked in. I always find myself becoming invested in your characters! Thank you for all the adventures!
Anonymous said:I felt so bad for the OC this chapter ;.; If I were in her position, I'd probably do the same since causing a scene is yes, immature and not worth the energy. But, if i could be a character in New Rules I'd probably be the other best friend who'll be like "guurl, confront her ass it isnt an excuse just because she's your friend." All in all I see the OC as the kind of person who'll go out of their way to care for someone to the point of disregarding their own feelings, which is unhealthy :( (1)
Anonymous said:(2) but thats what makes her such a relatable character. I really, really like that in your OCs. This is probably the second OC i emotionally relate to, first is Copper Girl. But yeah I'm just distracting myself from assignments lol this series is amazing and just you are amazing Lu!!!! ily!!!!! PS. Jungkook is still agsjshskll he's cocky but with OC he's quite vulnerable. I wonder why? Is it just a front or does he have other intentions?
Anonymous said:alternative ending to new rules: mijoo and mc are over their respective boys, does not bother to get into any messy scenarios like that ever again, love each other and support each other and is forever the friendship that everyone envies anD I HATE THIS SITUATION SO MUCH GODDAMMIT LU!!! UR REALLY TRYING TO TEAR MY HEART APART!!
marchxseptember said:OH MY GOD CHAPTER TWO IS UP. I HAD A FEELING SO I HAD TO CHCK UR ACC AND I WAS RIGHT. BRB GONNA READ
marchxseptember said:AND THE PLOT THICKENS. I JIST FINISHED READING CH. 2 AND I AM FUCKED UP. I HAD A THEORY BEFORE BUT NOW I HAVE LIKE 2 MORE IM CONFUSED. I LOVED IT SOOO MUCH. AND I HATE MIJOO NOW. I CANT WAITT TO SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN. THIS WAS SO GOOD LU.
omg the amount of response ive gotten for new rules is unbelievable. I dont think ppl were even this into equilibrium. the last time u guys acted like this was during the golden boy trilogy and it really feels so good to have this again.
thank you all for your thoughtful messages and for giving this ridiculous little fic a chance. I love you all

June 14th tweets...
Did you know February 2, 2020 was an event that occurs after 900 years? The date is a palindrome. 02/02/2020 - reads the same backwards and forwards… Man o man, I missed it…
Whatever happened to BTS after Dynamite?!
Christmas songs always make one feel good…the whole mood and setting of Christmas, especially a white Christmas is beautiful…
“Angels we have heard on high”- personal favorite- Gloooo-oooo-ooooo— riiiaaa
I have a friend from 14 years ago, named Zac…recently saw his 2-4 year old daughter call him “daddy” in a Facebook video…really moves a guy…around Easter I think, there was a Facebook clip of her signing “Hosanna”…smart little girl…
From Wellerman -“sea shanty” to Katherine jenkins “Sancta maria” to “adeste Fideles” to Stevie wonder “ave Maria”…my Spotify playlist just started playing this stuff…I really enjoyed it…whatever genre these songs were…maybe you will too…be warned, it’s old school stuff…
So this Church I go 2..Annunciation in Yonkers..its a nice Church..can take back roads from my house 2 get there..but whether or not its b/c I go 2 their 7:30 or 10 am Masses, theres not even 1 song…u need a song like “He will raise you up on Eagles Wings…” songs move the soul.
Aesthetics of a place, a person, always affects thoseAround u. People shouldMakeThemselves presentable &places like Churches should be aesthetically pleasing. In the sixth grade, I remember seeing Sacred Heart Church inYonkers 4 the 1st time. It was beautiful in magnificent way.-
-seeing that Church for the 1st time really moved me inside. It facilities feeling like ur in the majesty of God…
-speaking of aesthetics, Iona Prep is also a magnificent high school. You hear private school or college preparatory school, some are inclined to think about preppy kids. But we were shown a mode of life for our future. There I met teachers like Mr. Henry or Mrs. Fealy. -
- these were model teachers, exceptional in teaching. In Mrs. Fealys biology class, I struggled, but she was available after school, everyday 2 try to drill the material into the annoying kid that was me. For her, I may have been a speck in time, but for me,she was a modelTeacher.-
- at neither Binghamton nor party school, did I meet such dedicated teachers. I mean college professors have office hours, but a lot of them are professors not to teach, but to use the research facilities at a University location.-
- Binghamton is termed the Harvard of the SUNYs. But thru life experience, as appropriate FOR MY INDIVIDUAL LIFE, Ive found you get what you paid for. I think if I went to a private college, among non IVYs, like Manhattan College, facilities and instruction would’ve been better.-
- state colleges are probably the worst place to seek out a money saving opportunity. Some say focus on a good graduate school, but undergrad serves as the foundation for the rest of ur possibly continuing education and you always need a good base.-
-anyway back to the great high school I mentioned: Iona Prep of New Rochelle. The school has a motto: “Estoti Firmi”. It’s, I believe, Latin for “Stay Firm.” Over these 11+ years, I’ve had lots of time to think. That motto has crossed my mind, among other things…-
- through the good moments in life, as well as life’s storms, you need to stand tall, with your feet in the ground, and face things- or simply put, stay firm, stay strong, maintain consistency, maintain who you are in ur identity, despite all that brushes against you.-
- this situation paints me in all sorts of ridiculous ways 2get me 2react 4 their entertainment purposes. For 11+ years, Ive been abandoned by people &left alone as depicted being one thing or the other. But Ive realized I’ve got to maintain me, try to get a correcting word out.-
Great thing a grade school/high school can do is give incentive 4 a day off.-
-Iona Prep, run by Irish Christian Brothers-followers of Blessed Edmund Rice- had 1particularBrother…I believe his name was Brother O’Conner(2002). For collecting so many cans 4Thanksgiving drive, we were awarded a day off…makes school exciting
So I said state ***Colleges don’t always have the best professors…u may argue w/their graduation rates…but in a lot of cases, that’s not b/c of a particular professors teaching…its b/c of a students ability 2teach him/herself the material thru their ability 2 grasp textbooks.-
- like when you pay for college, ur paying for their reputation (if they have one), the facilities, and those select few of professors who give exceptional notes, for making teaching urself the textbook easier.
Listen to this Japanese song from the anime, “The Seven Deadly Sins” … it’s addicting…it’s called “ Netsujou no Spectrum “ and it’s by Ikiminogakari . YouTube it … makes you feel like ur on an adventure with friends or on some epic quest …
So some of U may have biases towards theChinese, in terms of American made vs. China made, or maybe even basedOn COVID . But I have many ChineseFriends (along with East Asian friends in general-Im South Asian) &the Chinese are greatPeople, a smartPeople. Their products areGreat.-
- I personally feel America is in a slump with new products ( could have to do with present day culture and mentality). The disciplined hardworking Chinese come up with revolutionary futuristic devices that can better life. (check out the Breo iDream5s Electric Head Massager) -
-Personally, today, things have been slow. Was having a hard time focusing, caffeine wasn’t helping, taking my mind off work and taking a break wasn’t working…so I searched for solutions when this happened last…and I found the -
-like I wasSaying, I foundThe“ Afunso Head Scalp Massager “ onAmazon. WorthItsPrice. It uses compressionTech 2 increaseCirculation 2the head. I suddenlyFelt able&ready 2get back 2work. How many of ourProblems areDue 2 poor  Circulation? &the meds people goOn instead..sad,America.
So if U buy 2 exact sameShirts from Macy’s -Polo Ralph Lauren or anyBrand-theyll fit differently.Same w/Amazon. Buy 2 of anything made in America/China/Wherever, &those 2things might workComparativelyDifferently. Whats goingOn w/manufacturing? Shouldn’t these things be identical?

The Future Pool Queen and the Sweepstakes Cult - Vegas Notes
by Dana Jerman
“The day is dispersed in a distraction as profound as ecstasy.” -P. P. Pasolini
Friends, I will admit to a dreadful thing. My vice at its maximum indulgence turns away from life. Read: I am slothful.
Mediocrity reigns over my time like a giant king of Boredom. I am his dutiful subject and I defend his claim to the throne of my industry with the zeal of a filthy coward.
He has said to me “Happiness with not protect you. Your efforts are mere sandgrains in a bottomless hourglass” and I have swallowed his words and made them my knowledge. I grasp instead for the calm of a hermit, and the disconnection of a toy left in the woods.
Please know, I haven’t given up completely… I haven’t moved to Key West or NOLA or another further flung seat of ultimate late-midlife unemployed hapless debauchery-laden surrender. It’s still too soon for all that…
Yet here, among my fresh initiations as an incumbent Las Vegan, I rightfully inherit poolside indolence. My father’s nickname for his mother and her cohort was “The Pool Queens.” The fever of leisure came to me through bloodline and starchart and remains to hijack my better impulses to engage proactively with society.
I take a bus to the strip and find a hotel rooftop where, amid occasional splashing and reapplication of SPF 50, RA beckons me with his omnipotent flamethrower to bathe in the extravagant rays for hours, baking my ennui in preparation for the hell to which I’ll surely be pulled under. Someday.
Not today, and maybe not even tomorrow, because King Boredom has beside him a Queen who seeks to save me from myself. Her name is Imagination.
Without obligations, and without wealth, yet diligent. Independent, but without the means to access most convenience, she gives credence to no barriers. Unoccupied, unhurried, she is grace as the clouds are grace. Clarity as the sky is clarity. Free to play and playing freely.
One day, far far out from these first hundred in my new city of residence, I won’t be broke.
At this writing no wide-eyed desperation of the homeless and hungry, mind you, but still counting change from time to time. Furthermore attaching the greatest personal urgency to the pursuit of nearly all that which is FREE.
Going on a month ago, for weeks while struggling to pick up more hours at my part time, I let the Monopoly game monopolize my life.
That’s right, you know it. You’ve seen it at the grocery. You tear those little blue tickets and attach them to a paper game board. Pop codes into your computer to win trips and cash and all that. Natch, it’s trash.
What a bunch of hogwash. Just try that website. Useless now as the game is over, but nothing but spinning wheel hangups and 503 service unavailable handling requests. Meanwhile your connection is sound as a pound.
Anyhow, because it was free to play and because I’d discovered a fair share of “instant winner” tickets good for everything from yogurt to water crackers to tissues to tin foil to cheese, I was feverishly combing the app. Going into the store every day, often after things I wouldn’t buy regularly at all. But the high of getting something for nothing got me out of bed.
When they stopped tickets after the first week of May, I was exhausted and well relieved.
This meant I wouldn’t have to muster the push to go scything thru the crop of Nevada’s finest to get what I thought I might want. My new neighbors: some dirty, a few crusty, a number sunscorched right down into ugly, some tubby like walruses with legs. Surprisingly even a few of the bitchy ones know how to smile back if you do it first. We’re all human, that’s certain.
Truly, the takeaway are the grey hairs. Old folks look at me with my fat stack of ripped up coupons, fascinated. They posit the most direct and engaging questions meanwhile looking the most messed up. I think of how my body will change, is changing, and my rose-colored glasses for humanity go back on when I chat with them. No nonsense, yet full of heart. Another day above ground and out of the house. At their best warts and all.
I joke over the phone about how many oxy tanks I see at my new job to an old pal back east. And yes, it must funny in a ridiculous way, all that getting old. But sobering too, and powerful. These are some gritty, sturdy, nigh-unfuckwithable humans. The time they have left is precious to them, and they guard it by taking zero shits from anyone they don’t care about. They are the power animals of pain.
And if you can be nice to them and get them to care about you? You’re beyond golden. Golden brown and rich with nourishment only age and experience, and saving maybe about a hundred bucks, can bring.
So anyway, on hiatus between manias, back at the free 15th story pool deck, amid rehashed booming club mixes, reclining in a chaise below the zipline, a stone’s throw from the world’s largest ferris wheel, alcohol permits my happiness a temporary throne.
So I pour a wee nip and raise it.
Long live your majesties.

Macedonia? Or is it north Macedonia? Hmmmm
Another day another blog post. Yes I am writing again, this one less out of excitement and a desire to educate my readers but to make sure I dont forget visiting the country thats name seems in the unenviable and inevitable position if needing to be changed to placate the angry Greeks. This, all to join the organisation Britain is fighting tooth and nail losing out on millions of pounds to leave. The irony. Yes we've left Macedonia now as we're in Bulgaria safe and sound. This will be a brief post as we did little owing to time pressures and illness. That brings me nicely to my current situation. I'm sat here outside a doctors surgery as Alina is getting her stomach checked for an ailment that is hitherto undiagnosed. We've had ideas that it may be a bug, a tumor or an organ infection (not a very exhaustive nor appetising list of potential maladies to have). We have also predicted her lifeline to be hours, days, years or maybe even millennia if the Bulgarian hospital system is so good it is currently working on eternal life. But who knows. I'll probs know in about five minutes. I'm not confident they are tho, but I'm also quire confident Alina's life expectancy is more than a few days. But I digress.
Yes, our time in Macedonia was brief and relatively unremarkable. We visited lake ohrid and skopja before leaving and this to.e was thwarted by an inability to be too active due to sickness, this is no great issue tho as Macedonia isn't the biggest or most exciting country in the world. Our time there however, began in quite amusing fashion on the back of the journey from sarande to ohrid, the journey I wrote my Albania pieces on. I say amusing... It was a long day... Very long. It worked out at a cool 11.5 hours of travelling. Eeeeewww. It was a slog, I'd actually forgotten how long it was tbh, now just recollecting it I'm remembering the length and sweatiness etc. So it began with a journey to a town beginning with r (the leg I posted from) then it was a hitchhike to a roundabout from a stop at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. This was followed by another hitchhike from the roundabout, we were sat on a motorway roundabout hitchhiking. Let that sink in. It was ridiculous but amusing nonetheless. We then chilled in el basan for a bit and got food before deciding to hitchhike the remaining journey because wed have had to wait 3 hours for the bus. This brought upon us the most eventful leg. We were picked up by a 27 year old guy in a VW golf sport and his little brother. We were driving, he was driving, very fast. I say this and don't mean it lightly. I think he clocked up 180km/h at one point. This was on a single carriageway with turns. We were terrified. Fearing death I proceeded to put my belt on subtlety and have normal conversation. He'd overtake every car at the last second, literally from less than a foot behind them he'd swerve out and bomb in down the road. I glanced at alina, she gave me a steely look back, I didn't want to hear her verdict... Then just before we were getting out he proceeded to ask if we smoked weed. My worst fears confirmed... They were both stoned. Lord Almighty. While I felt safe my tensions rose and we couldn't wait to be out although it must be said we did get a good chunk of the journey out of the way in that half an hour. This left us near the Macedonian border at maybe 3:30. The day was getting late and we were desperate for the last lift. We had no luck but then a bus came past and we jumped in as it drove us to the town before the border. While trying to find a lift to struga on lake ohrid our bus driver, it turned out, was getting a lift there in half an hour. Easy, €5 for the two of us and we were there. Sadly it was not this easy (it never is). Finally the car came. We jumped in and he drove us all to a garage where he began to fix the car... Really? Now? Not tomorrow? Please just get us there. There was no panic, just exasperation at this point. After another 20 minutes we left. Wicked, all we had was the border crossing and we were in the home stretch. He then proceeds to stop at another garage to chat to some guys and to the best of our knowledge pick up another man. Luckily for us (as we were crammed In the back) he didnt pick him up. We drove on up the mountains to the border, this was when the car began to give up on us. It clunked, semi stalled and whined willing us to stop. We persevered. We climbed the mountain in painstakingly slow fashion but alas, we made it. This was when the real magic happened. Waiting for our turn we mused and consulted each other on a poster next to the border guards office. It was a poster of two handcuffed hands poking thru some bars and said (in Albanian) something along the lines of "no to corruption". Then we moved forward and the guys in the front gave our passports to the birder guard. They talked and he gave over some documents and some money. He let us thru, very simple indeed and it was on to the Macedonian side. Same again, over go the passports. The guard gets aggressive. Something to do with us, we're very in the dark however, and the driver says something about tourists. The border guard shouts. Our drivers panic, grab some money put it in the documents and hand them over.... I snigger in amazement. The guard gives back the passports and we were thru ahahahah. Our drivers, we think, had been  done for not being an official taxi and had bribed both security guards to get us over, lol. Which surely must have cost them more than our agreed €5. It was great, especially as it came 10 metres after the anti corruption posters. Amazing. The last part of this journey ended in similarly incredulous and amusing fashion as they tried to drop us off 2km before our hotel for the night. We argued and got them to drive the extra 3 minutes to get us there. We'd made it. After a long old day we'd made it. Now I can tell you what we actually did in Macedonia now.
As previously stated illness thwarted our time in struga on lake ohrid as Alina felt grim the whole time. Side note she is now in a proper hospital (not just a clinic) having just had an ultrasound to work out if there is a problem in her stomach area. This is the next day by the way, I only wrote parr of the article yesterday because the examination wasn't very long. We hope there is no issue but we'll find out in ten minutes or so. Yes so we did little on the lake except for one day I went for a trip to ohrid town and charged around trying to see everything touristy in a few hours so I could be back in good time. Dont worry i saw it all, the monastery on the lake, the castle, the views, the old town, the bazaar and I even went for a swim. It was all beaut. Apart from that our time was highly uneventful and we chilled.
Next up was skopje, the capital city of Macedonia. We had a good few days there still plighted by illness. One thing that stood out about Skopje was the number of statues. There are hundreds. They come in ALL forms representing ALL of society. I've never seen anything like it, at one point we were stood next to a park and I could see 12 statues around me. They have them dedicated to shoes, mums, dancers, war heroes, politicians, couples, lions, workers, literally anything you can imagine: they will have a statue of it. Its mad, seriously. Anyhow apart from that we went to matka canyon as you can see from my previous post which was lush and the boat tour was very picturesque and atmospheric. Yep so there is little to say about our time in Macedonia but I'm happy I'm banged this piece out anyway.
We have had the news on Alina and she needs surgery for what we think is appendicitis. Although with the broken English we aren't 100% sure.
It should all be fine as she has the surgery tonight, by the time I post this it'll probs all be done. #Pray4Alina
This will probably inevitably lead to me to writing a piece about hospitals and the NHS and having issues abroad. Especially if I have time to kill while waiting for the surgery. Fingers crossed.

Are there any good arguments for requiring health insurance. Ive only heard arguments against it?
"Are there any good arguments for requiring health insurance. Ive only heard arguments against it?
Ive heard the car insurance one, not very solid. I also have heard there will be hardship exemptions and certain levels of income earned that will determine how much help will be given in purchasing insurance. Just looking for somethings to note when someone brings up this part of the bill

So is there any health insurance for those with serious medical conditons?
My younger brother who's only 20 years old has a host of serious illnesses: crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and a few more conditions that has constantly kept him sick for a good portion of his childhood. He's missed at least half a school year on a number of occasions, and despite his maturation he's still heavily affected by his conditions. Obviously, it's practically impossible for him to hold a steady job, he'll work for a while and then he'll have to take off a month or two just to deal with his illness, with that said he surely won't have employee health insurance. Currently, he's using our state's medicaid, however once he turns 21 he's no longer eligible for medicaid. With the health care system being the way that it is, is there any possibility that he could continue receiving health care despite his ineligibility? He takes a ton of drugs daily, and even takes some of the same medications that our grandparents take lol. I know some of you heartless conservatives believe he should provide his own health coverage, but how? His drugs cost thousands, and he's in the ER constantly, thus making his health-care only affordable to extremely rich individuals. When healthy, he does contribute as much as he possibly can, however for someone in his condition it would be downright shameful if he can't continue to receive any healthcare.""

Who do you think has the best car insurance rates?

Car Accident Advice: Someone hit me and doesn't want to go thru insurance?
Someone recently hit my car while it was parked across the street from my house. I almost thought it was a hit and run till I found their business card on my windsheild. I called her and she said she'd rather not go through her insurance but pay me directly for the damage to my car. I have been in accidents where I was hit but usually the other person just gives me their insurance info and I call them and get my car fixed fast, no problems. So I was already a little hesitant about agreeing to this, but I figured as long as it gets fixed it should be alright. So I did like she said and got an estimate from a body shop, then called her with it. Right off she said, Oh thats really high,(almost a 1000) and I reminded her that the damage is pretty severe, she backed into my rear passenger door, now entirely dented and scratched up. I know the estimate is fair compared to other work I 've had in the past. So anyways, I thought she'd decide right there like she had told me before, if it was affordable for her she'd pay me if not she'll go through her insurance. So since she acted like that was so much money I asked well does that mean you want to just use your insurance? She still sounded unsure and said she needs to figure this out. So it's been another day since that, still waiting, she did call again and say she's running it by her insurance agent to see which way would be better for her, insurance or pay me off. So I am still waiting, it's only been a few days since the accident but I am getting anxious because I kind of wish she would just give me her insurance info and go through it, my car would probably be in the shop already and this would be taken care of. But instead I 'm waiting for her. She still has not given me her insurance info, I don't have her license plate # or even what her car looks like, just a business card. And its a big inconvenience because I know I will be without a car for a at least 2-3 days, and even if she pays me she sure didn't mention a rental car. So my question is am I being too nice by waiting for her to decide whats best for her... and even if she wants to pay me should I have gotten her insurance info, like is that my legal right. So how long should I wait for her to decide?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as obviously I should act fast. Thanks""

Hey, I'm a 16 year old student (turning 17 this year). I'll be getting my G2 in March of 2014, and I'm having a hard time deciding which car to save up for. It was between a 2004 Audi A4 or 2006 Mustang the whole way through. Which car would you recommend for a student? I'm having trouble finding an A4 for under $8,000 with decent kilometers. I was wondering how high the insurance would be for me on both cars, also I did not take driving school. I've also heard that if I write my mother's name as the primary driver, and my name as the secondary driver its cheaper.""

Education determining car insurance...?
Here in NJ (USA) auto insurance differs by your level of education. I have an associates degree but if I were to put on my insurance that I have a bachelors for cheaper insurance would that be alright? I have been in an accident once and used insurance once and they never asked to see my degree or transcripts.
Car Insurance Companies + Excluding Drivers?
My brother and I are trying to get insurance for our two cars but are having a problem with one of the cars. My uncle gave me my car but we never dealt with switching over the title of the car. Most of the major insurance companies require that the cars be under the name of one of us. We have found some smaller companies that do an exclusion to deal with the problem but the rates are higher. Does any body know of any major company that allows this to happen? Thanks for the help.
Does each driver of a specific vehicle need to have car insurance?
Does every person who plans to drive a specific car need to have their own insurance? (we'll be living in Idaho, if that makes a difference)""
How much does car insurance cost?
Im turning 18 in November and I feel like it is time for me to buy my first car. Im really interested in buying a 1998-2000 Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Cherokee. These cars are typically on the cheaper side (They usually dont exceed $4000). What I really want to know is how much will insurance cost for a teen with that kind of car. Please correct me if Im wrong but wont insurance for a car like a jeep be less than that of a car like a mustang? Anyways, I dont really have a well-paying job (minimum wage) and I dont want to ask my parents to pay for it because I feel like this is my responsibility. Can anyone give me an average price for what you paid for your car insurance when you were a teenage driver? Thanks a lot for the help!""

Which car would insurance be higher on?
Hi, I'm 16 and I'm getting my first car. I've saved up a chunk of money to make the down payment and 2 or 3 of the monthly payments (my parents are paying for the rest). I've narrowed it down to 2 cars of about the same price. A 2004 MiniCooper and a 2005 mustang (v6). My parents will be paying for my insurance so I was hoping you could tell me which one would have a lower rate so I could make it easier on them? I already know it's going to be high because I'm a teenage driver so whatever helps really. A mustang is kind of, sort of, sports car-ish (I'm not big into cars people, ignore my ignorant terminology) so I figured that would have an effect on the insurance. On the other hand, a minicoop is very small and I don't believe they're made in the U.S like a mustang is so parts and stuff would be higher if I'm correct? Thank you very much for any help!""

How much would insurance be for me?
I'm 16 and I've had my license for about seven months now. We've had financial problems so we've held off getting insurance. But, now we have a situation where I would need to drive the spare car to and from school. (I would only be driving a total of 16 times, 32 if you count round trips) It's a Hyundai 2010 Elantra, but I may also be driving the 2012 Mercedes C250. Would it be more affordable if I were to go under my mom's insurance? Possibly my father's? My parents are divorced. My main guardian is my mother, but my father only has had one car incident while my mom has had several. All, however, have been minor. And, separate question, but is it possible to only get insurance for a month? If so, I think I would be able to pay for it myself, but if not, I would need a fairly cheap insurance policy.""

Unemployment insurance in california?
Last year I was unemployed. To make a long story short, i took a job and was there for less than 2 weeks. I was forced to pray, and listen to scripture that was muslim. I am very understanding in all religions, but do not practice myself. I was very uncomfortable and left. EDD decided that i left without cause and that i did not deserve insurance. they made me pay back what they paid me and 30% more. I did so even though I didn't agree. Now that I am laid off again, I filled out a claim and got a response saying that I was eligible, and they gave me the forms to fill out for the first two weeks, the standard claim forn. I filled it out, and now got back letters saying that i am not eligible for benefits until i have filed a claim for each of the 5 weeks in which i am otherwise eligible for benefits. I haven't received new claim forms. I am assuming that I will get these, and I will fill them out for 5 weeks, and then they will pay me? So I am looking for clarification, after claiming 5 weeks they will give me my benefits? Thanks for your help, to anyone that has gone through this. It is so unfair! I paid them so much, for something I felt I was justified doing, and now I am still being punished! I would rather be working and not have to worry about this, but it is so hard to find a job :( not a great holiday.""

Car Accident and Insurance?
On 7/24 I was at a Dairy Queen drive thru the person behind me hit the truck I was driving. I was looking at her in the rear view mirror the entire time. She had a cigarette hanging from her mouth that was unlit and she eventually backed up after hitting me. I got out of the truck and looked and I did not see any damage. She then said I didn't move you hit me I then told her No I did not hit you I am in front of you and this truck was never in reverse. Since there was no damage to the truck I did not bother getting any of her information since it was not my fault. On 7/27 I got a call from the police saying she told them I hit her. I gave them my side of the story and they said she had a witness who was a passenger in her car and they will be in touch. I also let them know I had a witness as well. The cop called me back yesterday and wanted to get my insurance information so her and I could exchange information. My question is do I have to give my insurance information to this cop? I did not hit this woman and I think she is trying to get one over on the insurance company. The cop said yesterday I'm surprised the truck does not have any damage because her car does have damage. This truck was a rental truck which was inspected at the time it was dropped back off at the rental company obviously there was no damage to it. This woman looked like she was on something to begin with and I'm guessing she was not paying attention probably looking for a lighter and let off the break and hit me. Which I still don't see how her car would be so damaged. I don't want this con artist having my information. So should I tell the cop I am not giving him my insurance information and tell her to take it to court? Should I get a lawyer? I'm not sure what to do I am 29 years old and I have never been in a accident so I am not sure how to go about this but I know this woman is trying to pull a fast one and I am not going to sit back and let it happen.

Why does the Honda Insight ('00-'05) cost so much to insure? (UK)?
Why does the 2000 - 2005 Honda Insight have group 12 insurance status in the UK?! Its such a shame, I have been looking to upgrading my small car at the moment, and have always liked the old Insight. It has a 1 litre engine, which produces just 66bhp, but is extremely efficient so achieves 83MPG and has a 0-60 time of 12.1s (top speed: 112mph). Remember group 12. Or I could pick out a Seat Toledo 2 litre Sport - produces 147bhp, 34MPG, has a 0-60 time of 9.4s (top speed: 128mph). This is a group 10. Why isn't the insight lower?!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!? Teenagers and car insurance again?
so i just posted a question asking if insurance costs more for a 18 year old. i loved all the answers they were really helpful. so the story is my friend thinks she's gonna insure a car and pay only 60 a month in arkansas but my moms insurance company says me being 18 i would pay over 100 dollars because im so young. ive had everyone tell me that thats right so it sounds pretty impossible for a new driver 18 years old to pay such a cheap price right? please give me some insight!!!

How to deal with car accident with no insurance?
FYI: this falls under New Mexico laws I drove a small 2 door honda civic and was on my way to school. There was alot of traffic being it was around lunch time and i was approaching an intersection when this dodge durango came out of nowhere and tried to cross in front of me. (I had the green light) I tried to brake and swerve but my driver side front end hit her passenger front end. I didnt have insurance at the time of the accident and she came and said it was completely her fault and that she went because the other drivers were waving her to go ahead and go. She was 19 with no DL so ended up getting 2 tickets. I, on the other hand,didnt get any tickets and took an ambulance to the E.R. being i was having bad chest pain so my husband emptied the car because it was pretty much totalled. So, since ive never been in an accident before, what steps can i take to make sure she pays for this? Car accident and insurance/how much in repairs?
I got into a minor car accident yesterday afternoon while I was parallel parking on Walnut Street in Philadelphia. I was backing up and I hit the curb. The front end of my vehicle was still sticking our quite a bit, so I pulled out a little bit so I could pull in the rest of the way. The person behind me thought that I was done parking so pulled around me and I ended up hitting her. Her fender and her door skin need to be replaced. Does anyone know around how much this would cost to repair? She had the police come so I am assuming that she wants the insurance company to cover the damage, however I would rather pay for it out of pocket. Obviously, my insurance company is going to find out about the accident, but after the insurance companies decide the breakdown of the fault, would I be able to pay for my part of the damages without my rates going up? Or at that point would it not matter, my rates are going up anyways? I ask this because I'm 19 years old and would prefer to not have my rates go up.""

""What kind of qualities should I look for when purchasing a car? ie insurance, modern elements...?""
For experienced buyers: As an entry level analyst looking to purchase a car, I was hoping to get some ideas about my first big purchase. My norm has usually been purchasing something and regretting it some time down the road ie Bought a Dell laptop, turns out it heats up a lot. Or a new smartphone (android), turns out it freezes plenty. So I want to purchase a car, and was hoping if someone who is experienced could possibly take some time off to tell me what I should look out for. I understand insurance is a *****, and even though cars are affordable on lease, the insurance will get you. My objective: Car : Lease a pre-owned or 2nd hand car, possibly 2012 or 2013 model, 4 door, sedan. Insurance : Max coverage, low payment (ideal but, shoot for the stars and....) Questions: I understand there are qualities or modern elements like lane stabilizer and effective cruise control that can reduce insurance coverage. How effective can they be? What kind of sedans have low insurance and are modernistic, such as built in navigation and those cool looking monitors? (kind of childish) Which insurance coverages are the most important, there is basic, comprehensive.... If you need additional information, I will be checking this question hourly and will be glad to provide additional information. Thanks!""

How much will I pay for motorcycle vs. moped insurance in Wa state?
How much will I pay for motorcycle vs. moped insurance in Wa state? M/19/3 accidents? First of all, I'm tired of trying to get quotes online. Could someone with some experience or knowledge around this give me a fairly accurate ballpark of what it would cost to insure myself? I live in Washington state, I'm a 19 year old male, and I've been in 3 accidents. The first was early December 2010, the second was late December 2010, both. Both were my fault, rear enders, and low speeds. The first one earned me a ticket for basically not paying attention, no injuries occurred. The first was a little over $3000 in damage, the second was 500-1000 and totalled the 99 vw jetta. The third accident was driving my girlfriends car and my insurance company was never involved. It was about 1600 in damages and was determined to be 50/50 fault by her, and the other drivers insurance companies. There will be 3 people total in the house, all of us drive. My auto insurance raised twice as much for not being insured for more then 30-days?
I had auto insurance with state farm and my policy was $180 (just liablilty)per month for 12 months. I ran into some issues with money and could not pay so I cancelled the policy and avoided driving for a little over a month. I recently went to another agency to find a cheaper insurance and they said since i had a registered vehicle that was uninsured for more than 30 days, there is a penalty. Now I pay $340 for 8 months (just liablilty). 3 agency's told me the same thing. My question is will this ever change? How long will I have this penalty ? I have a clean driving record besides this and feel this is unfair and cannot afford it. Is there anything I can do to go back to paying $180p month? When did insurance companies start doing this? I have not found anything similiar through my research. Thanks""

Is what my car insurance company doing legal?
I am in the process of purchasing a house. I received a quote from the insurance company I picked. And they said they could lower it even more if we add our 2 cars on. So they checked, and their offer for insurance on our cars was lower then what we are paying now. So saving us even more money. I went in, signed the papers for both auto's and the homeowners and was happy. They cancelled my previous auto insurance policies, and charged me my first month. Now, a week later, they are saying due to my previous car being stolen two years ago they can no longer offer me my 100 comprehensive deductible. They can only offer me a 1000 dollar deductible and if I choose not to accept they will cancel my auto insurance. This if frustrating considering my other insurance which wasn't bad to begin with has already been cancelled and I have already been charged my first month so if I don't accept I will have no insurance and my homeowners policy will go up in price. Sorry for the long explanation. I just don't think they should be able to get you in then change things up on you. Is there any law against that? Thanks for your help!!!""

Is it true that if you have full coverage insurance on a rental car... (please look inside)?
They can't ban you from renting from there for the rest of your life? OK. Back in 2005, I rented a car from Enterprise with FULL coverage insurance. 1 day I was on my way to school because I had a deadline to turn in a research paper that was 30% of our grade, & my sister 2x my age locked me in the house on purpose & thought it was funny. I got in the car, & drove it to school, & I panicked & got into a wreck & the car crashed into a tiny tree on the median. It was only a fender bender. But the company tried to say it was totaled for over $2,000 worth of damage. Everyone else who saw, said it was a fender bender. The twigs got inside the light on the left side of the front of the car. But that could've easily been fixed. Not sure. But the wheel alignment was messed up. Does that mean the car is totaled? What does TOTAL a car mean? That it couldn't be fixed? Well, I was just talking about it today, & a lot of people online had ganged up on me & attacked me. Now I'm feeling sad & hurt. About to cry. & they were calling me dumb, irresponsible, etc. Very hostile & angry @ me. They act like I wrecked THEIR personal car! People get into accidents all the time. Anxiety disorder or not. & they were saying that since I had full coverage, I shouldn't have been banned. & they were saying my story didn't make sense. But people look for any & every reason to discriminate against me. It's not fair.""
What are some tips to get cheaper car insurance?
I have a very poor driving record. Right now, I'm paying about $4,000 a year to insure my car. It will probably go up when the policy renews in Sept. What can I do in the meantime? Should I take the defensive driving course? What else? I've tried to shop around but GEICO gives me the best deal at $4000. Some other companies would not insure me at all. Others wanted thousands more. What should I do? I really like the convenience of having a car and I would probably cry if I had to sell it. I've had a car since I was 19 and I'm 26 now.""

Financed a car- car insurance went WAY up?
My husband and I recently sold our old car and financed a used low mile 2007 ford fusion. Our car insurance previously was around 60 dollars a month, now it's over $200.00. The reason our rate increased was our finance company requires certain insurance (comprehensive and collision) that we didn't have before. My question is, do we have to keep this insurance on the car throughout the financing period? They sprang this little tidbit on us right before we signed. We tried to get financing three weeks ago and suceeded, but the person working with us went out sick with swine flu and no one from the bank let us know. We ended up calling last week and they put us with someone else/ It put us in a time crunch since my husband was leaving for Naval OCS the next day. If we have to pay it, it's not a big deal, but we're a young couple and it's money we could be putting towards our student loans.""
