I am in love with the straight out of the bat, hit you in the head idea/message that the King that was viewed as kind and just is actually a power hungry tyrant and then we have the self proclaimed upcoming evil tyrant who is actually a just and kind orphan peasant dude.
Gira surely sees himself putting on this facade like he's roleplaying with the orphanage kids, hoping that his big "villainy" will bring the kingdoms together to take down the Big Bad Bug and Racles for the betterment of the children's tomorrows.

thinking about frankenstein a new musical (2008) once again and going Crazy
#carissa speaks#finally found the boots of the few songs that exist and.#I could stage it better#girl please ur score fuckin Bangs don’t do her dirty like that!!#victor frankenstein my little meow meow someone get this man to open up abt his feelings or smth#also if I was to direct frankenstein it would be so much fruitier#victor and henry were kissing on the regular TO ME#also the costumes????? the coming of the dawn fit fills me with rage the cut of the vest is all WRONG#and unbuttoned????? first and foremost king you are in the ARCTIC but also that would be like stripping!!! that’s not allowed!!#button ur vest up!!#idk if I was the directors of frankenstein a new musical 2008 I would simply up the energy levels#but maybe that’s just me#show fucks though do not get me wrong too 5 musicals of all time I am literally vibrating over here#but I did see those clips and every ounce of my theatre major brain took over#maybe a Would be a better techie#bc I know I could design the Hell out of this show#also- get rid of those fuckass stairs why the hell are there stairs they make for useless traveling#sorry not to be full of mt rage tonight I’m just so ??? they literally had it all how did they not follow through visually 😔#give me victorian gothic!!! please!!!!!!!!!!!!#I also think it’s really interesting now that I’ve actually gone through and fully perceived the book#the changes they made specifically in the instances of justine and Henry’s deaths and how that changes victors character#I like that victor gets to witness Henry’s death and I think the conflict there is neat#but I also enjoy the agency of victor deciding to take back his promise on his own#I feel in some ways him actually going through with a second one all the way to the end is a detriment to his character#like yeah he does Immediately regret it and kill her but the lack of consideration beforehand in the musical is interesting to me#it feels much more like the frenzy of the first creation whereas in the book it is a true concious choice which I think is interesting#both are good and valid takes I just think the discrepancies are neat#there are so many typos in these tags but I cannot be assed to fix them#so sorry#frankenstein musical

weallwantsomeone @ arcticmonkeys gave us one for the ages last night at Kings Theatre. A mighty return in a beautiful room which was everything fans dreamed about. New songs, the return of some old favorites, and getting a chance to sing along with all the classics. So nice to have them back.

hello if u live in the UK and have the money and opportunity to go and see Player King's (an adaptation of Henry IV part 1 & 2), please please do. Ian McKellen is in it but he is one of those rare actors who does not steal scenes as in its all so balanced so everyone can shine despite him being a POWERHOUSE.
the staging and setting was perfect it was truly amazing like idk im high off the rush of seeing it but it was superbly executed. ESPECIALLY!!!!£ the battle scenes, they were so good plus they used angel by massive attack and day of the lords by joy division. like my dude playing Hotspur gave it his fucking ALL. like amazing. i loved the lad playing Hal as well, he was stunning id seen reviews complaining about him by randos, but he was doing shakespeare like this was just him speaking, like it was so natural 10/10. EVERYONE WAS REALLY GOD. I LOVE THE THEATRE!
but Ian McKellen being Falstaff and when they were chatting about him being old made me start crying because I do not want to lose Ian McKellen.
they did cut a lot of scenes obvi but it worked for me? just sad there was no Glyndwr

facin the horrors 👍
#everyday i sit here waiting for it. when will it come if it ever does. i feel like prey being stalked#i feel it over my shoulder. behind my back. watching me.#i cant stop it i cant escape no matter how much i run or lock my doors. im in a constant battle with an enemy that doesnt exist#its getting closer. invading my mind and space and senses. im being chased#i feel fucking insane cause i know nothing is there. nothing ever existed to hunt and kill me. and yet the ever pervasive monster chases me#it hides in the corners of the dark. i close my door and it scratches at it. it claps and laughs underneath my bed#as though im just a theatre act. i feel like im losing sleep over nothing. its just a fear of the dark and a bit of paranoia.#but it never leaves. it hides outside of my home. it hides inside my home when im alone. it opens the garage door when i dont look.#i blame it on the house being old. 'of course that happened. this house is broken' but i know im lying#its only a matter of time before it catches up and rips me limb from fuckin limb#its constantly behind me. it takes form of whatever im most scared of. monsters. wolves. dolls. the dark itself. i cant take it anymore.#something is stalking me like prey and i cant escape because the predator is made up by my own mind.#i cant escape my own mind. i lose sleep everyday. i worry that statues will come to life and kill me.#i worry that the floor will collapse from under me. i am paranoid and terrified and i hate existing in a mind that terrifies itself.#drama king#cw paranoia
