christmas duets w/ 5wirl!

since it’s the last day of november it’s officially christmas so expect christmas/winter writings (I would like to do a 25 one shots of christmas think but we’ll see)

I’m editing this at 2 am I just spent two hours writing heizou and venti and they didn’t save and I’m gonna cry

characters/content: aether, kazuha, xiao, heizou, venti, visi0n reader, mean girls reference in xiao’s, characters are probably ooc, author is writing this at 1am with, please bear with her, heizou and venti are rushed cause they didn’t save and author is having a breakdown

aether: walking in a winter wonderland (matt wertz)

(small a/n: the singer in this cover sounds so much like zach/aether to me??? maybe I just have hearing issues but I swear he does)

“Y/N, your hat!” Aether exclaimed, tossing you your santa hat, pulling his own on and adjusting his mic in the backstage mirror, looking at the small countdown clock that was slowly ticking.

“Thanks, Ae!” You called back, rushing next to him, inspecting yourselves and your matching Santa outfits. Diluc and Childe had decided to do another joint group event for Christmas, but this time it was duets. The two singers were picked from a hat, and you and Aether were the two lucky winners!

You two had decided on a classic song, something simple everyone could sing to, and a song to mainly calm Aether’s nerves. He had claimed it was because since there would be less people on stage, there’d be more eyes on him, but you knew him better than that. Xiao and Lumine did too, seeing as however you mentioned it they changed topic almost immediately. You didn’t press it though, you decided to wait until after the show.

“Okay, you two! Showtime in five!” Childe called, raising his hand for emphasis. Your bandmates, who were also backstage, were ushered away by Diluc, all of them cheering encouragement towards you two. You soon after turned towards Aether, raising your hands up, giving him a smile. “Sing our hearts out, right?”

He looked back at you, before nodding, clasping your hands with a smile. “Right.” You both took a deep breath and let go of each other before you rushed out on stage, waving to the cheering crowd before you. As the music started, you two began your routine, the steps and vocals flowing out of you like a river, the mind-numbing rehearsal helping greatly.

While you two spun and slid across the stage, every time he had the chance, Aether stole a glance at you. Afterwards, when you finished and were talking to the fans, he looked up at the sky. Even though it was cold out, the sky was clear. No sign of snow for a while. He looked back at you, who was having a small bit of banter with Xinyan, giving a smile. Maybe he couldn’t walk in a winter wonderland you now, but he’d be sure to ask at the first sign of snowfall.

kazuha: santa tell me (ariana grande)

“Kazuha, Y/N. Twenty minutes,” Diluc called, walking back to take care of some more preparations as you two nodded, you shaking your hands and letting out a breath.

“Fuuuu… Okay, you got this, Y/N, you got it…” You sighed out, shaking your hands. Kazuha gave an amused smile, grabbing your hands and holding them gently, causing you to look at him.

“What, you’re nervous? Where was this anxiety at your other shows?” He asked, tilting his head a bit. Ignoring his teasing tone, you looked off to the side, subconsciously squeezing his hands a bit.

“Yeah, yeah, I know, but we don’t normally sing stuff like this. What if I mess up? What if I trip over my outfit? This is very long,” you said, reaching back to lift a piece of fabric that was almost to the floor.

Kazuha shook his head, squeezing your hands once more. “You’ll be fine,” he began, looking at you with soft eyes. “Besides, I’m here. And I always will be, even next year.” You paused to look at him, before letting out a small giggle, raising an eyebrow at him. “Did you really just use a line from our song? Seriously?”

He gave a sheepish grin, leaning forward a bit. “Yes, but it made you laugh, right?” He began, before moving one of his hands up to your cheek, rubbing his thumb across it softly. “And I meant every part of it, Y/N.” You stared back at him, your cheeks heating up, while he leaned forward, his own face a light shade of red as he planted a kiss on your free cheek, placing your foreheads together. “I’m not going anywhere, Y/N. You seem too helpless for me to leave you alone right now, anyway.”

You looked back at him with wide eyes, your mouth fumbling over your words, deciding to focus on his last comment while you processed everything else. “Wh…? Hey, I’m not helpless…!” You said, puffing your cheeks out as he grinned, leaning back from you.

“I’d prove that wrong with another kiss, but we go on in like two minutes and I don’t need you shutting down on me.”

“Wh—?! I wouldn’t—! Kazuha!”

You calmed your blush and expression as best as you could as you followed him on stage, deciding it was for the best for you to just turn off your brain and let your practice take over.

He made good on his word though, and you were short-circuited with a few pecks in no time. Well, at least you got a boyfriend for Christmas, even if it did come with relentless teasing from the others, specifically Lumine and Heizou.

xiao: jingle bell rock (bobby helms)

“Okay, you all. On in ten,” Diluc said, walking back to the dressing rooms where the rest of Visi0n was, assumingly to make sure they’d be ready to make their own appearance in time. Meanwhile, you were trying to not giggle at the boys in front of you, four of which were varying degrees of embarrassed, while one was doing a much better job of holding back his laughter, although he had a large smirk on his face.

“Not a word, Alatus,” Aether seethed, pinching his fingers for further effect, pulling his dress down. Normally, Xiao would’ve been annoyed at the use of his middle name, but the sight of his bandmates in the dresses from Mean Girls made it hard for him to be mad at anything right then.

“Archons, this is so embarrassing…” Kazuha sighed, pulling his own dress down, his hands stretching the fabric. Venti looked at himself in the mirror, twirling around a bit as he made finger guns.

“Speak for yourself, Kazuha, I’m rocking this look,” the singer said, making poses in the mirror. “I don’t actually mind losing that game of candy poker as much as I did then now,” he said, doing a catwalk you couldn’t help but giggle at, the others rolling their eyes at him.

“Normally, I’d… probably try and use my humor as well, but it’s way too cold to do that. As soon as this show is over I’m putting on the biggest puffer jacket I can find,” Heizou said, rubbing his arms.

“The choreography will warm you up. Lucky there’s no radio for you to kick into someone’s head either, isn’t there?” Xiao said, pulling a laugh from your throat, Aether squinting his eyes at you.

“Hey, don’t laugh, how would you like it if someone put you in a short dress in this weather?!” He exclaimed, your brain immediately seeing an opportunity to tease him.

“Are you saying you want to see me in that dress, Aether?”

“Wha—?!”

“Oooohh, Aether, I’m telling Lumine~”

“Shut up, Hei—“

“Lumine? Why not go straight to Childe? He’s the manager, you know.”

“Venti!!!”

As the time for you to go on stage eventually arrived, with you and Xiao singing as the other four followed through with their cosplay and performed the Mean Girls choreography, Xiao’s mind couldn’t help but go back to the comment about you in a dress. He was glad everyone was too busy to notice him or the flush in his cheeks.

Later on, you two were watching a recording of the show on the couch in his bedroom of the hotel you all were staying in, laughing at the other members, sipping hot chocolate to warm up from the cold. Soon enough, you placed your up down, adjusting under your blanket to face him, placing your legs up on the chair. “Alright, Xiao, what’s up?”

Xiao looked back at you, a bit of confusion in his face, not expecting you to pick up on him fast. Thankfully, for him, he had spent a good amount of time carefully crafting the question he wanted to ask you, the perfect wording in his mi—

“Do you want to go on a date with me?”

Well, that’s all out the window.

“Huh? Oh…!”

As he was mentally cursing himself in three different languages, you looked up at him, already being able to tell he was struggling to express himself. You let out a small sigh, leaning over and pressing a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth, causing his brain to freeze mid-thought. As he opened his mouth, you placed a finger to his lips.

“Yes, I’ll go on a date with you. Yes, I mean it. We can figure out the details later. For now, just try and get your brain unscrambled, okay?” You said, wrapping your arms around him, pulling the blanket around both of you. Xiao simply gave a nod, wrapping his arms around you, placing his chin on your figure, looking back at the laptop where you were already putting on a movie for yourselves to watch.

heizou: last christmas (wham!)

You closed your eyes as Barbara powdered some blush onto your face, Xinyan and Yun Jin fixing up your hair, Lumine holding your hand on your free side. You were all talking a bit before you had to go on stage, trying to calm your nerves.

“So you get to go on with Heizou! That’s really great, I’m glad for you, Y/N. Especially since you like him, right?” Barbara asked, you giving a small hum of affirmation, opening your eyes to look at the mirror, rotating your head to look at your appearance.

“Yeah… Although I’m nervous. You know how he is, he definitely knows. I don’t know why he hasn’t said anything about it, though. I really think he just doesn’t like me back.” You said, almost immediately being met with various protests.

“Hey, ‘m sure Heizou likes ya back just as much, m’kay? Maybe he just doesn’t know how to say it, s’all,” Xinyan said, Yun Jin nodding and adding on to her statement. “Yeah, people who are observant over others normally aren’t too observant about themselves, right?” She said, you giving a small sigh.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right… I think I’m gonna ask him later, and if I don’t get a yes, I’ll just move on from him. I don’t want a repeat of… you know.” You said, all of the girls nodding and hugging you from all sides, squeezing you gently.

“Of course, you deserve at least that much. And no matter what happens, we’ll always be here for you, right?” Lumine said, a small chorus of agreement followed as you reached up, cherishing the bandmates who meant the world to you.

“Alright, now go out there and kill it!” Lumine said, the other three cheering with her as you stood, taking a deep breath and heading behind the curtain.

You walked next to Heizou, who seemed to be in thought about something, quickly snapping out of his thoughts with a smile towards you. “Y/N! Ready to go out there and sing?” He asked, raising a hand for you to squeeze. You looked back at him, before forcing a smile, nodding and gently, briefly squeezing his hand. He found it odd, but there was no time to address it, he’d just have to ask later after his own plans for later that night.

Later on, you and Heizou had met up at a park near your hotel, sitting on the swings next to each other. You had been idly chatting about things for a while, and you had been trying to bring up the courage to ask about his feelings in response to yours. Eventually, you steeled your nerves and plunged into the metaphorical water.

“Heizou, we both know that you know how I feel about you already, so please, just be honest with me. Do you feel the same?” You ask, swallowing back the pleading tone in your voice. Heizou looked over at you, before giving a smile, pulling something out of his coat pocket and handing it to you.

“Well, it’s like George Michael said, right? With a note saying "I love you", I meant it~” he sang, watching as you took the heart shaped box, reading the careful calligraphic on the top.

‘Merry Christmas, Y/N. I’m glad I got to sing with you. Now, let’s keep doing it for the rest of our lives, okay?’

You looked at the redhead, who walked over gently leaning towards you.

“I’m sorry I didn’t say anything before, I just didn’t know how. But, I’m glad I finally did. And you are too, right?” He said, letting out a breathy chuckle as you wrapped your arms around him, leaning in.

“Yes, yes I am,” you said, closing the gap between you two, pressing a soft kiss to his lips in the moonlight.

venti: all I want for christmas is you (mariah carey)

“Thank you for coming out, everyone! And as always, we’ll see you next time!” Venti said, giving a wave to the crowd who clapped and cheered while you two went off stage. You had just gotten done with one of your many performances of the song that seemed to be the embodiment of Christmas itself. It wasn’t a bad song, mind you, but having to perform it so many times made it very tiring very fast. Well, at least you had Venti to do it with.

Later on, after your final performance for a hit, both of your bands had gathered in the hotel preparing yourselves for the night you all had planned full of Christmas movies, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and gingerbread houses.

After a long night of fun with yourself and your bands mates, you found yourself alone on the balcony, reminiscing over the night.

At least, you thought you were alone.

“Y/N? Oh, you’re still up. Is everything alright?”

You looked back at Venti, giving him a nod and a smile as he plopped down on the space next to you on the balcony couch.

“Yeah, I’m okay. Just thinking, y’know? Tonight was fun and all, but it feels like something was missing, is all…” you said, trailing off. Venti gave you a nod, before pointing up, turning your attention towards the ceiling above you.

“Maybe that’s what it was?” He suggested, your face turning red at the prospect. You liked Venti, sue, but the thought of kissing him made you sweat. He looked at you, giving you a grin and leaning forward, giving you a teasing look. “C’mon, Y/N, you know the rules~”

You took a breath, shaking off your nerves. You knew Venti wouldn’t leave you alone about it, and besides, what’s the worst that would happen, right? You resolved to kiss him on the cheek, but like how most cliches go, he ended up tilting his head and kissing you on the lips instead. You felt him softly melting into your warmth, before pulling back, almost too quick for your taste.

He looked at you, grabbing your hands and squeezing them gently, an uncharacteristic nervous blush on his face. “I… didn’t expect that to actually work. But that doesn’t matter. I like you, Y/N. And I hope you like me back too.” He said, waiting for your response.

You looked back, a small smile creeping onto your face, giving him a small nod in response. “Yes, I like you too, Venti,” you said, leaning forward and wrapping your arms around him. He let out a small sigh of relief, leaning into you.

“I’m glad. All I wanted was you. And I actually mean that, not just the song.”

You gave a laugh at his quick end comment, before pulling him back inside, the two of you heading to sit next to each other, holding hands as you drifted off to sleep.

scara – enemies to lovers

goddamn raiden scaramouche. he just always had to be right, didn’t he? god, you just wanted to wipe that smug look off his face. he was so damn blunt all the time, but it was more annoying how he was right. he’s short and he’s especially mean when he opens his mouth. what’s there to even like!? one of the things you hate about him was how he found out about one of your most embarrassing secrets and told everyone.

“i hate him! i can’t stand to be in the same room as him.” you complain to your friend, childe. he raises his eyebrows at you, “looks like someone’s got a crush.” you scoff and roll your eyes at him, “c’mon, i hate the guy’s guts!” you furrow your eyebrows. childe looks at you with a smug expression, “uh huh, that’s why you’ve been talking about him for the last 48 hours?” you didn’t even reply. you just stormed off. you hear childe in the distance, “looks like i was right!”

he turns to his phone, “did you hear all of that?”

“....yeah.” scaramouche finds himself dumbfounded. the next day, you find yourself avoiding him entirely. you saw a glimpse of him in the hallway? run to the nearest room. you saw his backpack behind a locker? run the opposite way. you see childe talking to someone shorter than him? it might not be scaramouche, considering childe is incredibly tall, but still, you choose to run away.

after seeing a silhouette that looks exactly like him in the halls, you run into the nearest room– the library. there, you hide behind a couple of bookshelves, trying to catch your breath. you turn to the right to take a peek at the entrance– what if he went inside? you sigh in relief when you see no one there, and you turn back to the bookshelf in front of you. and oh– there’s someone towering over you. the person you’ve been avoiding all this while. he’s got you pinned to the bookshelves, and you look down at the ground feeling your cheeks become hot. his right hand is over your head and his left blocking your way out.

“why are you avoiding me?” he says, not letting his eyes off of you, “it’s– it’s nothing!” you look further away. “the floor must be really interesting.” he grabs your jaw and makes you look at him, eye-to-eye. “tell me, why are you avoiding me?” you feel your body tense and your ears turn bright red. “because…”

“because what?” “i…like you..” you say in a soft voice, so quiet only a mouse couuld hear.

“i can’t hear you.”

“i like you!” it’s quiet. scaramouche isn’t saying anything. he takes his hands off the bookshelf and looks at you. “i thought you hated me.” he says, “i don’t know! i don’t know anymore, i—”

he cuts you off by placing a soft kiss on your lips.

“i… like you too.”

xiao – miscommunication

he was so confused about his feelings for you. he didn’t know what was going on with him. whenever you were around, his face would heat up and he’d become more tense. to others, he’d stay quiet, barely saying a word. but when it comes to you— oh, he doesn’t know what to do. he talks more, so much more. it’s something about you that just makes him lose it.

when he thinks his feelings will only hurt you, he’ll distance himself from you. you’ll stop seeing him around liyue, and you’ll stop hearing his voice, asking you how you’ve been. when you call out his name, he won’t appear. but that feeling you get that someone’s watching your every move, that doesn’t go away at all.

he thinks you hate him now, now that he’s gone out of touch with you. he thinks that as a human, you won’t realize how important it is to live life to the fullest, and that you should not spend your moments with someone like him. an immortal being with so much karmic debt on his shoulders haunting him every single second of the day. but, that all went away with you. you brought so much happiness and joy to his life, and you’ve made him experience so many things he never thought he’d got to feel.

but he was scared. scared of you getting hurt because of him, what if he’s the reason you don’t get to be happy? those thoughts stopped him from getting close to you— to be able to communicate with you.

one day, you catch him stumbling on his feet, walking unbalanced. suddenly, he collapses. you run over to him and let him rest on your lap, he slowly opens his eyes and breathes in deeply. “[name]?” his voice is husky, his eyebrows are furrowed, “am i… imagining things?” he blinks slowly again, “there’s… there’s no way you’d actually do this.” his breaths are heavy and when you put your hand over his forehead, it’s burning hot. “xiao, you’re heating up, what happened? are you okay?” you ignore his words. “i’m.. i’m fine. just stay here with me. it doesn’t matter if you’re my imagination.” xiao looks at you through his lashes, “i missed you, xiao. you have no idea how much i liked you– and how much i still do.”

xiao simply shakes his head. “no..no, i hurt you. you can’t do that, you can’t say–” he coughs, “you can’t say that.” he sniffs his nose, “just get some rest, xiao. let’s talk when you’re okay.” you say softly. “i’m so sorry, [name]. i didn’t want you to get hurt–”

“please get some rest, xiao. you’re not okay.”

heizou – academic rivals

heizou was one of the top students.you always ranked 2nd after him, and it infuriated you. not only that, but he was difficult to talk to, and he always seemed to be one step ahead of you. you always compared your scores with him the minute you got them, but he would always end up scoring one point higher than you.

this semester, you were set on defeating him. you studied all day and night, drank gallons of coffee, and barely slept. you thought about getting a score higher than his, how much you hate his intuition and him always being so spot on.

“wake up, [name]!” venti shakes you awake, “‘m not sleeping! i’m..i’m not sleeping-” you jot up in surprise. “you should get some sleep,” he sighs. “no, i can’t. i absolutely have to beat him this time around.” you say. “so, i can’t afford some shutter-eye right now.”

little did you know that “him” was just right around the corner, and he heard everything you said. “looks like your rival’s out to get you.” kazuha teased. “they should really get some sleep once in a while…” heizou mutters to himself.

the day of the exams, you were overprepared, you were determined, you were confident you were going to ace this test and finally beat him. you just downed a cup of coffee, and you’re ready to take the exam. a few days afterwards, you get the results for the examination. you run to see a certain maroon-haired fellow.

“heizou!” you run towards him, holding a paper in your hands. “what was your score… hah.. on the- the exam..” you pant and rest your arms on your knees. “woah there, excited much?” he takes your paper, “just- just tell me.” you take a while to catch your breath. he scans your paper, “79/80. wow, you’ve defeated the mighty shikanoin heizou.” he tells you.

“i did?”

“you did. only because i let you.”

“oh my god–” you ignore his words. “i did!” you blink. “i don’t think the entire campus can hear you yet–” you blink again. “[name]!” you collapse into his arms, he’s swift, and caught you in time. “you did great, seriously. just get some sleep now.” he mutters, he’s noticed in the past weeks that you were slouching all the time, and your eyebags got worse. your voice got croaky, and he always caught you drinking coffee, honestly, was there ever a moment when you weren’t holding a coffee?

“my my, the prince charming gets his happy ending alas.” kazuha walks from behind. "by the way, congrats on getting perfect scores."

“thanks.”

venti – friends to lovers

to be honest, you’ve gotten confused whether or not hanging out with him were just plain friendship stuff– or dates. knowing his secret, that he’s actually barbatos, the anemo archon, he uses his powers freely around you, making it easier to access beautiful city views. he invited you to watch the stars with him on the anemo god’s statue in the center of mondstadt, late at night. he uses his powers and holds your hand as you fly up to the statue’s hands, and there you lay down with him.

up there, the wind tickles your cheek, and venti is weirdly silent. it’s not like him at all to be quiet. so, you ask him, “what’s wrong?” he turns to you and says, “do you think they’ll like me back?” your heart drops. you tell yourself, you should be happy for your friend, finding his own happiness. but why not with you? “i mean, of course. what’s there not to like about you?” venti laughs. “there’s… so much i need to tell you.”

“well you didn’t even tell me about your special someone” you turn away, throwing up in the air the apples you got for venti. “hey– i couldn’t!” he becomes defensive, “it’s just… they’re amazing. all my years roaming teyvat, i’ve never met anyone so… just so amazing.” he smiles, “see? i can’t even put my feelings into words— and i’m a poet!” he pulls his knees to his chest, “i don’t know what to do…”

“you should choose me instead.” you think out loud, venti looks at you in shock. “wh-what? what’d you say?” his pupils diate and his ears become hot. “don’t make me say it again, it’s embarrassing.”

“no, no! not at all, [name], i’d gladly choose you. you’re the one i like” he gets up and holds both of your hands.

“so… does this mean we’re–”

“yep.”

kazuha – mutual pining

the crux has been through a lot, and god do they drink. it’s interesting to see kazuha not in his calm composure, instead slurring his words and his sentences full of hiccups. tonight, he drank a lot. the rest of the crew were passed out somewhere or simply sleeping. you were worried of leaving kazuha alone in this state– only archons know what’d happen to him.

“mmm–” he coos as he tilts his head at you. he giggles as he grabs a small photograph kept in his front pocket, he scooches over to you and shows you the picture. it’s a picture of you smiling. you ask him, “what’s this?”and he smiles, “the person i love oh so dearly…” he holds the picture as if it was fragile, like the slightest movement would ruin it. “don’t tell anyone, but..” he whispers into your ear, “i’m gonna marry them one day…” he giggles. he shoves the picture into your face, “look, *hic* aren’t they so cute?” you laugh, “you’re adorable, kazuha.” he looks at you, as if he’s offended. “well– *hic* i appreciate the compliment, but… you’re not [name], i’d like it if you didn’t say that, especially if they’re around.” he pouts. “y’know, i have someone i like too.” you smile at him, “really?” he entertains your sudden statement.

“yeah, he’s the nicest person i know. it’s like i can’t live without him.” the heavy weight you feel now being lifted off your chest. “you must really like him.” kazuha says, “what’s his name?” “his name’s kazuha. does that sound familiar?” you take your shot, it’s most likely he won't be able to remember this when he wakes up anyway, so why not? “it does– oh.” he’s taken aback, in fact slightly sober now. he rubs his eyes multiple times and blinks profusely.

You’ll never trust Alice, mother of Klee, founder of TEYVAT Productions, ever again.

Shikanoin Heizou thinks his mind functions only according to Descartes' System, which is divided into two parts: deduction and intuition. For his entire life, those two factors have never let him down. He correctly inferred that someone with his extensive criminology knowledge would function effectively as a private investigator or detective. The majority of the time, his estimates were accurate, and his fellow college students would sacrifice everything to borrow his brain for a day.

But his intuition states that this was not his destined path.

When he decided to audition to join the newly renamed "5WIRL" as its fifth member, several of his coworkers were startled. Everyone concerned went above and beyond to persuade him to go back to his studies, but he was undeterred. Heizou understands their dismay and is aware that seeing him change careers was like watching a kid forgetting their homework to play their brand-new game.

But if he is simply going to ignore intuition, what use is it to adhere to Descartes' System?

"My name is Shikanoin Heizou. I think, therefore I am" that was how he introduced himself to you.

Admittedly, your first words were not as grand.

"Come again?"

Heizou, in Thoma's words, "is not the easiest to get along with." He was Rene Descartes and you were his John Locke– the ex-detective couldn't phantom having you as his Pierre de Fermat. You have to experience something first before you gain expert knowledge of it. When you asked for more training, Heizou labeled you an a posteriori. Unlike Mister One-Take-Shikanoin here, not everyone can perfect routines on the first day. And most unfortunately not everyone has innate knowledge; some people start from scratch. And on their first day of work, some very unfortunate individuals were given Heizou's character sheet that had scarcely been answered.

Did you say "individuals"? sorry. The noun should be singular. By "an unfortunate individual", you were referring to yourself.

You're under contract for the next 5 years.

In a draw, this would be the misfortune slip. Not good enough to be good fortune, but not too terrible to be great misfortune– IF and only IF Heizou decides not to be a free-spirited prick. If he woke up one day and became an absolute menace, you would beg Itto's producer to switch idols instead. Sadly, your coworkers find solace in the fact that you are their "senior" and that you want them to feel secure because you are the first hire. They'll feel discouraged too if you let them know that you can't handle this assignment.

Some things are borne from chance or "coincidences", and if you were Pierre de Fermat or Blaise Pascal, you would've identified a clear answer as to how fate played you like a fiddle.

Based on the Law of Opinion, Heizou should at least be disliked by almost everyone. He shows up at business meetings late and on a whim before leaving when he wants to. This "detective" glues sticky notes wherever he wants and refuses to elaborate when confronted about his paperwork (which is, mind you, his progress is as barren as his attention span.) You pride yourself on the ability to read the room and empathize with others– Shikanoin is an outlier. An unplanned outlier.

Thankfully, you like to clean up every once in a while.

"Hey dandelion, it's time to hit the hay!" Heizou crept behind you with a small smile on his face. He placed a hand on your shoulder. "Want to join me for dinner, alone? I found a place that sells deep-fried pork and I want YOU to be the first person I take there."

You sheepishly eyed the mess his group forgot the cleanup. The rest of the staff looked weary but did not utter a complaint. It wouldn't be good to leave them here.

You're so hungry. But you cannot in good conscience let your friends work overtime just because Heizou tinkered with some props.

"... I'll take a raincheck on that."

You'd think that all of those things would be enough to warrant some animosity, but no, Mister Shikanoin is a welcomed new member of 4nemo (now 5wirl). There are even times when you find yourself doting on him. Heizou appeared to be the final component of the puzzle, waiting for the most opportune moment to fit in. He assumed Aether's previous role and put into practice absurd concepts that nobody anticipated can be presented in an idol format. Court-themed performances? Murder mystery ARGs? You were amazed that he had won their hearts so readily and you didn't know he was capable of writing such a heartbreaking narrative about a fraud friend. As his producer, you were thrilled by how his "personal jury" praised him for his wit and charisma, but more importantly–

Who knew Heizou was so good at dancing?

After seeing the bigger picture, it made sense as to why the original members were inclined to add him in. He had a similar aura to the rest of the group while bringing more to the table. Heizou managed to mix his knowledge of martial arts and criminology with an idol's art form, and it's applaudable.

... Come to think of it, his debut felt like yours as well.

Not because you were moved by his joy and victorious performance– hard no. It's because, after the final song on the track list, he pulled you in front of the crowd and publicly (humiliated–) thanked you for being his assistant.

In front of 100k people.

And this cheeky jerk was grinning like he didn't know those normal people couldn't handle being seen by a massive audience.

"This is my beloved personal assistant, (Y/n)!!! Clap for them as well!!!" Heizou winked at the crowd. "My debut wouldn't be possible without them!!!"

"Aren't they dreamy?!"

And, as Arataki Itto would say, "and the crowd went WIIIIIILLLDDD!!!"

Oh, dear... You think you might faint.

…

"Phew…"

You were positively sweaty.

Nothing else mattered as your body slumped like a sack of potatoes onto the plush double bed of the 5wirl employee tour bus. Kazuha's producer humbly informed you that the more you travel, the more tolerable this nearly unbearable exhaustion gets. You believed them since Kazuha is renowned for being a quote-unquote "wandering samurai" and they had to go through multiple states to help him find some inspiration. It feels odd that you're now taking their counsel when you're normally the one giving it to them. If only you can take your own advice about taking things one step at a time. You can't, though. You were immediately strapped on an emotional rollercoaster of a life.

You barely lifted your arms from the bed and crawled for your phone. There was still a schedule you needed an alarm for, but you mostly took it to look at some cat pictures. Once you took it, however, it made you wish you just slept with abandon.

Everything you've done in your life has led you to this moment. And thankfully those experiences helped you develop thick skin cause goodness gracious–

"What is this?"

There were already multiple edits of Heizou– no surprise there– but it rarely had him as a solo performer.

It seems as though you two are the most iconic matching pair.

You closed your eyes. There are about a million expletives you wanted to scream– but your eyelids are barely keeping up. You yawned as you gently threw your phone away.

Maybe you didn't realize it– maybe you did but you were too fatigued– but you're already entrapped in Mister Shikanoin's web. This was just the start– a little snowball to whatever he had in mind.

Because from then on, the world perceived you as Shikanoin Heizou's partner-in-crime and his alone.

In this today's chapter... (Drum rolls, please) It's Venti's turn!! (Scaramouche is now called Wanderer in here)

Xiao joined the music club that was suggested (encouraged) by Venti! Now, you're the club manager, more like a band manager.

You're currently on your way back to the clubroom after shopping for some clothes with Heizou. Both of you returned to the clubroom to check up on the others. Apparently, you assigned them tasks, such as practicing and honing their skills on their respective instruments or refining their choreography.

Everyone was exhausted from the moderately challenging tasks. As soon as you slid the door open, a chilling gust of wind and an eerie atmosphere engulfed you. The deeper you ventured into the room, the more oppressive the feeling became. You spotted Xiao hunched over the table, his head supported by his hand. Relief washed over you at the sight of someone familiar.

"Goodness, Xiao," you exclaimed. "You really startled me. What happened to the clubroom? How did it end up like this?"

You scanned the gloomy clubroom as you spoke. Xiao replied, "We pushed ourselves too hard." Heizou entered and pulled Venti and Wanderer out, asking, "What's going on?" Venti, lying on the ground, responded with a laid-back tone that contrasted with his somber appearance, "We were just working ourselves to the bone."

"Alright!! From now on, let's work hard to improve our band!" Venti exclaimed. "I think I know a live venue. I can try to get you guys in," you offered, taking out your phone to search for the live venue's location. "Ooh, it's not so far from my house," Heizou mentioned. "Maybe we can drop by Heizou's place! Hehhe..." Venti chuckled. "My mother isn't that strict, so it's fine," Heizou added. After a while, you shared all the information about the live venue and the plan

You sighed and opened the curtains and the window. "Also, where's Kazuha?" Heizou asked. Kazuha entered the clubroom with a bunch of cookies on a tray he was carrying. "Anyone want some cookies?" Kazuha said with a smile on his face and bright eyes. "YES!!" everyone exclaimed and sat down to enjoy the fresh cookies. "Delicious!" You complimented the cookies; they tasted like Subway's cookies. They all ate happily. "Kazuha always makes great cookies, nom nom," Venti praised with his mouth full of red velvet cookies. "You know, maybe you could teach me how to cook sometime!" You suggested. "Last year, I was in the cooking club, so, of course, I know how to make several snacks." Kazuha took one of the cookies and fed himself, a small sparkle lighting up Kazuha's eyes. "hmm... nom nom," Kazuha said with a contented expression.

"right, so all we need to do is to have a song!"

After the club meeting ended, everyone said their goodbyes and headed home. You were walking back when Venti quickly caught up, exclaiming, 'Hey there, Y/N! Wait for meeee!!' Venti grabbed your hand, 'Let's stop at this new maid cafe!' Venti pointed at the cafe, and you were intrigued, chuckling as you entered.

Venti may appear to be very extroverted, but he prefers to converse with those he's already friends with. Since you're childhood friends with Venti, you can probably predict his every move. He and Shenhe were the kind of people you never thought you'd need.

"Hmm!! The chocolate mint cake actually tastes good!" Venti exclaimed. "Say ahh~!!" He carefully placed a small portion on his fork to share with you, knowing you didn't have any money and just wanted to accompany him. "Ahh..! Nom." You eagerly took a bite, savoring the delightful blend of mint and the rich flavors of chocolate and peanuts. "It tastes amazing, actually!" You were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected treat. Initially, both of you had doubts about the cake's taste, but now you both realized it was quite delicious!

Talking about Venti, hes not that very interested in trends or anything, he just like to stick to his own clan instead of trying to fit in.

After paying, Venti walks happily with you all the way home, content after satisfying his appetite. Venti chuckles, then strides forward and glances back at you while still walking, saying, 'Let's dine there again sometime! I'd love to treat you once more...' He mischievously laughs as he playfully runs away from you.

You were confused by Venti's new behaviour.

AMATEUR5 || 5WIRL

masterlist characters: aether, heizou, kazuha, venti, xiao genre: fluff contains: 5wirl, probably inaccurate college things, idk i'm only in high school, could be taken platonically or romantically summary: following the success of 5WIRL, you reminisce on how the group first banded together and how, before all of the glitz and glam, they were just a group of boys you met in college. notes: ahdfjk i've been on and off this idea for a while ever since heizou released so here it is :D

you weren't really sure how you ended up here, but you wouldn't trade it. you ending up here with your boys may have very well been a coincidence or an accident, but it sure as hell wasn't a mistake.

the way they smiled and beamed at you on the other side of the camera was all you needed and wanted. to see their bright faces as they live out their dreams was more than enough to make everything worth it.

xiao was the first person you met. with your passion for film, specifically cinematography, you would chalk your meeting up to a mere coincidence. out of all of the people, you had surprisingly bonded with the stand-offish dance major xiao.

it wasn't immediate, sure. it took a good while for the two of you to start talking to begin with. it took even longer for you two to start talking casually.

he was always a stand-offish person, or at least you figured he was considering the rest of the classmates didn't bother getting to know him. except for the few girls that liked the mysterious guy trope, that is.

that might have been why he was so careful around you. he was so used to being flocked to because of some strange image people had created for him that he figured you would have been the same.

lucky for him, you weren't.

you met kazuha a few days after fulling integrating xiao into your "friend group", which was really just you and him at that point. just like xiao, you chalked your meeting up to a coincidence, seeing as how you first met at the school's library.

he had his nose buried in a book of poems while you took the chair off to the side of him, your face equally buried into a book about film techniques.

kazuha was an easy person to get along with, as opposed to xiao. it just sort of became a routine. you got used to seeing the literature major at the same table in the same chair. and you figured he had felt that same way about you.

it took a few weeks before the two of you talked for the first time. it wasn't anything special, just a talk about how the two of you were always in the library at the same time.

him and xiao only got acquainted through you when you dragged the dancer into the library to accompany you in your usual library visit. the duo got along fairly well, what with a few bumps in the road because of xiao's tendency to push people away.

venti was more of a coincidence but xiao liked to say your meeting was pure accident. apparently, the two had already known each other, something about being in the same high school and their programs being integrated with each other.

xiao didn't like to talk about it, but venti sure did. you found that out fairly day. when you found him in xiao's dorm room one day. he had a strange liking towards alcohol, yet he somehow never smelled like it. only fresh daises and pine.

he ranted on and on that day about how xiao never had any friends that he knew about ever since high school. you remembered asking him about his relationship with xiao, but he only responded with a "it's complicated" and moved on.

he was a breath of fresh air for your friend group when he wormed his way in. he was bright and cheery, a complete opposite to xiao's naturally cold demeanor. kazuha was a great medium, a fact that often helped when venti was getting too rowdy.

you were glad your friend group was evolving. now that venti had become a permanent member, your nights were filled with music and cheer. a stark difference to your old life of quiet movies droning on in the background.

you would say aether was the most purposeful meeting out of your entire group. he was just easy to get along with.

he was a transfer student, appearing in the middle of the year as a communications major that just needed help getting used to the campus.

you had met him in passing one day, the details were pretty unclear if you were being honest. you remembered volunteering to help him out the next time you saw him, noting the lost look in his eyes as he rushed through the halls.

he was sweet and kind, something you chalked up to being new to the school and in search of acceptance from his peers. luckily, his personality seemed to meld immediately with kazuha, who you had introduced aether to when you showed him to the library.

it wasn't long until venti caught wind of a possible new friend and he took it upon himself to join you in showing aether around. the blond didn't seem to mind, at least, letting out loud laughs and light slaps to the back at venti's words.

you were glad he got along well with xiao too. you only found that out when you stumbled upon aether in xiao's dorm, cooking him food and lightly glaring at the boy from his peripherals. you only learned until later that it was because xiao was being snippy and aether decided to give him a taste of his own medicine.

heizou was the last person to join your group. despite being at the school for the entirety of the year, you only met him when aether introduced you two.

he was blunt, that much you appreciated. he was easy to get along with because he let his feelings be known rather quickly. he was direct, but polite about it too. he didn't let his digs go too far, something you figured he learned through his interest in law and interrogations.

what you didn't expect was for kazuha to already know who he was. the two had already been acquainted and, according to heizou at least, had been friends for a good couple of years now. you assumed it was true when you stumbled upon the two having an animated conversation about what had been going on in the few months they lost contact.

you learned heizou was surprisingly physical. he had a tendency to show things through actions rather than words, although he had a good grasp on how to do both. you often found yourself on the receiving end of heizou's physicality when he would jump on your back in the halls when he saw you, laughing as he ran off and you would yell at him.

you loved these boys dearly. being by their side as they grew, graduated, and eventually became figures of society to so many people made everything worth it.

"(name)!" and when they returned backstage, sweat on their faces as they dived into your arms, you knew you wouldn't trade this for the world.

how could you when your world was already in your arms?

The lunch bell rang, and students poured out of their classrooms to head to the cafeteria, loud chatter filling the hallways. You weaved through the crowd as swiftly as you could, heading into the opposite direction from everyone else.

You were headed to the library, and while you would have loved to have lunch with your friends, right now you couldn't stand to be with them—or anyone else for that matter.

They were up to their usual antics, teasing you with Venti, one of the more popular kids who unfortunately gained an interest in you. He has been quite vocal about his attraction. It confused you greatly when he first started paying more attention to you but it quickly turned into annoyance, with him constantly pestering you with his babbling and hanging off of you like a leech.

He’s captivated your entire class: your friends were his friends, and it seems that the same goes for every person he meets. Even the faculty! They’re all amused by his antics in trying to woo you, encouraging his shenanigans. (You can still hear the loud cheering and whistling from your class from when he asked you if you wanted to have lunch with him today, his treat!)

Everyone seems to see his charms… except for you.

You hear familiar footsteps clicking alongside your own, the sound growing louder as you briskly walk down empty hallways that lead up to the library.

You abruptly stop walking, and you can hear his shoes skidding to a stop behind you.

An hour. An hour of peace, an hour away from him and everyone else is all I ask for. Is he really that desperate for my attention that he can’t leave me alone for one hour?

“Why do you keep following me around? I told you I didn’t want to have lunch with you didn’t I? Are you deaf?”

”But, Windblume, I just wanted to— “

”FINE!”

“...huh?”

“FINE, YEAH, OKAY, SURE! THERE. THAT’S WHAT YOU WANTED TO HEAR ISN’T IT? I’M YOURS NOW. YOUR PARTNER. NOW WILL YOU SHUT UP?”

“...”

“So? What? Nothing to say?”

“.…I don’t want you to say yes to me if you’re just forcing yourself to say that.”

”…What?”

”Windblume… do you really hate me that much? Can you really not stand my presence? Does seeing my face everyday disgust you that much, just as you say it does?”

It’s your turn to be silent.

That’s... not true, your mind immediately supplies. You don't hate his presence, per se.... Admittedly, there have been more times than you can count on your fingers where you can say that you don't find his company annoying. In fact, he's rather fun to be around. You acknowledge the nice things people said about his personality, because it's true.

You’ve asked yourself the same questions too, why do you hate the idea of becoming his partner so much? Is it the attention? The teasing from every single person you know of in this place? The jealous glares of his own fan club, muttering profanities about you under their breath?

Is it all worth it? To say no to him to avoid what others will say, think, and do when it comes to both of you? Can you really handle hurting someone who’s shown that he truly cares for you, clear as day?

But before you can respond to him, you look up and find an empty hallway.

He doesn't come to school the next day.

Or the day after that.

Nor the day after that, too.

He didn't show up for a week.

You told yourself you were going to apologize and be honest with him after that day, but how can you even talk to him if he's not even there?

You're worried, and with his loud presence missing from the room, you constantly feel eyes on you again. Nothing new, but this time it feels more distressing, probing. Everyone likely knows that something happened between you both and given your past responses... you're sure they know.

Now a villain in their eyes, perhaps.

It's uncomfortable, but you couldn’t care less. Your mind is still on him, his words and your own echoing in that empty hallway.

When he comes back after more than a week's absence, everyone gathers around him, various concerns and questions thrown at him about his well-being.

He's trying his best to seem fine and act as usual but you know it's a lie. (When did you start reading him so well?)

He used the crowds as walls keeping you from having a quiet moment with him. When he doesn't have them with him, he simply vanishes, out of sight.

Finally, after multiple failed attempts, you catch up to him after classes, and grab hold of his wrist to keep him from leaving.

"Venti, wait!"

"A-ah... W-[Name]...! Hi, haha..."

He called you by your name. Not Windblume.

"Venti... please.... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you and say such mean things—"

"No, no. I should be the one apologizing. I've been so pushy this entire time, haven't I? Constantly following you around, all the teasing... You don't like the attention and noise but I forced my feelings and reputation onto you. It's my fault, not yours. So I understand. Why you're always so irritated and why you said that. I don't know how else to make it up to you, I'll do whatever you want if you have an idea, but I'll stay away from you from now on—"

"Don't go."

"...What?"

"Don't go. You wanna know how you can make it up to me? Stay here."

"Wait what, I don't get—"

"You shouldn't even have to make it up to me... I'm the one at fault—no, don't you dare refute that. I made you upset enough that you couldn't show up to class for a week. I've been an ass, both for yelling at you and for not being honest."

"I did find you annoying. I hate large crowds and loud noises and you always had those with you. You're loud enough on your own but with everyone else in the mix… it really was annoying. I avoided you because I just couldn't be bothered by the mess and the racket because I had better things to do than to get caught up in he middle of your crowd."

"And it got worse when you started to take interest in me. Your attention constantly on me, every single day. Where you look, the crowd looks too. I couldn’t handle the attention, like you can. I hated it."

He winces.

"But I don't hate you."

Surprised, his eyes meet yours, small glimmers of hope reflected in his gaze.

A loud voice disturbs the quiet murmurs of the room. It's early next morning, so people taking quick naps on their desks grumbled from the disturbance.

Venti lets out a small apology, setting down his bag in his seat, before taking your hand, dragging you out the door and down the halls.

"Venti! Where are we going?"

He doesn't answer, instead leading you through twists and turns of various paths and halls.

You get out of the building and find yourself led into a quiet area, near one of the school's many gardens.

You find his guitar case leaning by a tree, and a bag of bright red apples next to it.

He stops and turns, giving you a fond look before engulfing you in a big hug and squeezing. Snuggling his face into into the crook of your neck and breathing in your scent, he mumbles.

"Mm, good morning Windblume... I missed you."

You let out a sigh, a small smile on your lips as you wrap your arms around him, gently squeezing back.

"’Morning, Venti. Why are we here so early?"

He breaks away from the hug, taking an apple from the bag and holding one up to you, intertwining his free hand with yours.

"Well... I thought maybe we can have some breakfast and a little relax time before class starts? I could sing you a new song I've been working on!"

You laugh, take the apple from his hands and bite into it.

"Do apples count as breakfast? Doesn't sound like a full meal to me~"

"Well it is to me!!!"

"Honestly I don't know how you get full from just apples for a meal..."

He just giggles as he takes out his guitar from its case.

"Alright! For my first song of the day..."

When you come back to your classroom five minutes before class starts, no one makes any teasing comment.

You can feel some looks on you, and some concealed smiles, but no one makes a single remark about you two coming back to the classroom together.

You're confused, and Venti doesn't say anything either, just offering you a smile as he leads you to your seat, and heads to his own.

The morning bell rings.

anyways enjoy this little drabble of my genshin smau I wrote in my anguish

The day had been a long one. Your own band, Visi0n, and 5wirl had been assigned by both your managers —Diluc and Childe— to preform shows together across the nation, actively bringing attention to both your groups. Your groups traveled in one big tour bus that you rode across Teyvat in, telling stories, cracking jokes, and poking fun at eachother. It was the most fun you had all had in a while.

It was starting to get late, with the sun setting on the horizon in the distance. You were all tired from the back to back shows, and most of you were sleeping on the bus.

He was sitting next to you, looking at you as you slept next to Lumine, your head resting on her shoulder. He looked at the rest of your bandmates sleeping in various places on the bus, before eventually reaching over to you gently, pulling your head to come to rest on his shoulder. He rubbed your shoulder gently as you leaned into his touch, the warmth radiating from him calming your sleeping form.

“Rest well, Y/N,” he says, giving you a butterfly kiss on your forehead, leaning against your head as his own rest, letting his eyes shut and his body recharge as the bus rolled on to your next stop for the night.

synopsis — Your ex boyfriend kuni is in a band called 5wirl and they're pretty well known considering him and his bandmates are still in college but you still hated his guts on how he ended things with you back then in highschool the day before graduation. So whats the best course of action in this situation? make a hate account of him of course.

Putting your phone down you prepared yourself for the first day of the foundation day festival. You sighed preparing to go out to campus. It's already noon and Lumine left early to prepare and help Ayaka.

On your way to campus seeing the colorful booths and tons of students make you calm down for a while. Surely you won't run into him? you were nervous seeing him after what 2 years? You would think you moved on but the wounds are still here and a ton of "what ifs" and many unanswered questions. To distract your thoughts you already took your phone from your pocket to calm your nerves.

You giggle at Heizou's tweet "Hey this just looks like–" you were cut off by suddenly bumping into someone "My apologies! Are you alright?" you reached for the stranger's hand about to thank them "Hey it's alright! thank y–heizou ?" Your eyes lit up seeing familiar emerald green eyes. As he lift you off the ground he gave you his charismatic smile. "Y/N! well, it's always great to see an old friend." You giggled at him, he didn't change, and sure texting him as "Scarass" His way of texting didn't change but seeing him in front of him as "y/n" and seeing him still being like himself back then in high school feels nice.

"Yeah…I was just about to head in" You pointed to the cafe, the same cafe he tweeted out. "Let's catch up! my treat" He head over to the door opening it for you "You go in first~" You only kept smiling at his gestures "Still a gentleman I see~" He only chuckled back nodding. While heizou is browsing the menu you already said your usual after all this is your favorite cafe on campus. "I take it you go here a lot?" he said before just ordering a frappe. You nodded "This is my favorite place actually!" "I see"

After receiving your orders you began talking by the window telling each other what happened over the years. "Can you believe it! your old buddy is going to be famous" You laughed at his claim "Oh please if you told me in the past that heizou from math class is gonna be a famous drummer I would be laughing my ass off" He gave you a pout before taking a sip of his drink… "Snarky as always y/n" He sighed "Why did we ever stop hanging out ?"

You bit your lip, you cut off contact with 5wirl after your messy breakup. Heizou noticed your sudden uneasiness in his question. You placed your hand over his and smiled "Don't worry im fine now and yes it is because of him". Heizou nodded "Im glad you're doing better, we actually clowned him for being stupid" You giggled at his rant about them just teasing scara. Talking about him made you uneasy at first especially since you imagined the same violet hair in the distance…its probably nothing.

if you’re not a content creator/don’t previously know 5wirl

out of everyone, the rest of 5wirl aren’t surprised that aether has an s/o

honestly the first time you meet them all aether’s already been talking about you for weeks ahead but just didn’t want the guys to scare you off and he didn’t want to introduce you until he was sure you’re the one

and after months of long distance and a bit of traveling with him to film stuff for his channel he’s very confident you’re the one

i think he waits like a solid 5 months before introducing you officially

he introduces you to them by preparing a big meal at the 5wirl house and sitting down for an informal dinner, 100% introduces you to them before introducing you onto his channel as his s/o

it’s a bit intimidating since the rest of 5wirl is protective of aether but as soon as heizou gives his approval everyone fully relaxes

it’s like, they’re obviously polite and friendly because they don’t want to make aether upset or anything but xiao doesn’t make an effort to strike up conversation and heizou is asking just a bit too many questions

venti is just vibing though cause he’s got more confidence in aether’s ability to read people and make the right call, while kazuha is just striking up conversation about your travels with aether

they’re all texting under the table in a gc before heizou makes his verdict and after that xiao starts to make a little bit of an effort to appear nicer and be more friendly

you are definitely given hugs by venti when you leave while xiao gives you a handshake, heizou gives you a pat on the arm and kazuha lets you know you’re welcome anytime, and he also adds you to a gc

venti jokingly shouts at aether to give you a kiss goodbye, and aether just shyly gives you a peck on the cheek before you’re on your way home

and as you’re leaving the house you can definitely hear venti shout out loud “THEY’RE A KEEPER”

aether is super happy for you both and reaches out to barbara about organizing a little surprise congratulations event like a cute picnic of something we stan aether in this household <3

heizou already knows everything that happened on your date he managed to find out via the picture venti sent where y’all were at and teamed up with yelan to spy

the MOST unexpected

xiao managed to not only talk to someone his friends didn’t know but also managed to date them how???

i’m sorry but this man won’t introduce you to 5wirl at all he’s an expert at keeping this a secret they only find out 7 months in when xiao invites you over when he thought everyone was out and heizou overhears someone calling xiao an affectionate nickname and xiao not giving any sign of protest like he does when venti purposefully annoys xiao by calling him his “beloved”

venti never lets xiao live this down, aether helps you hold xiao back from murdering venti and is just like “oh hey i’m aether by the way, how are you?”

kazuha just herds y’all into the living room and is just patiently waiting for xiao to say something

xiao just there like :| so you gotta say something or y’all will be in awkward silence for a long time

the minute you say anything like even just being like “oh hey my name’s [name] i’m xiao’s s/o” venti will just grab you by the shoulders and be like “DID HE KIDNAP YOU” lovingly of course, it’s his job to shit on xiao

eventually everyone will introduce themselves and xiao just grabs your hand and tries to drag you back to your room before aether suggests y’all watch some movies together

xiao volunteers you two to make the popcorn and brings you into the kitchen and lets you know if you just want to go back to his room and chill y’all can totally do that there’s no harm in not wanting to be part of a group interaction at the moment

if you decide to go back to xiao’s room the rest of 5wirl would bring up some snacks and knock on the door before just leaving them outside cause they do feel lowkey bad for overwhelming you

if you decide to make popcorn and join the movie night it’ll be chill, while 5wirl obviously care about xiao they know he’s the least likely to be ‘tricked’ into being in a relationship with someone who isn’t a good person especially considering how long you’ve been together
