Summary: They make a reference to something personal between you two while performing live. Almost putting a spotlight on you.

He met you before he was an idol. High school to be exact. You two were in the same music class bonding over how much you dreaded your music teacher. "He sounds like a divorced mom.." "isn't he married?" "Exactly" you flop onto your desk

You two have been in almost every class together years afterward, just so you didn't have to work with a stranger for group projects. People would would find you two around school alot and walking home together. "And they were roommates," one of your classmates giggle as you two casually hold hands while speaking to eatchother, in reality, you both didn't notice

He was always so calm but also somehow could smell your problems?!? "Ughhhh" "Lemme guess they chewed gum loudly again?" You spring up placing your head back down. "Stop knowing based off my grunts!" "And you're mad at me for not noticing something earlier" "HA!-" "nm it's because I didn't let you sleep in" "...I genuinely despise you"

He started catching feelings midway through your first semester of the new school year. You did notice he sometimes hugged you tighter, looked at you a little longer, he even got small trinkets for you, noticing how fond he looked when you casually wore them.

It was by the end of the year he had told you he got a scouted as an idol, it took alot for him to tell you but it worked thank god you didn't ditch him like he thought.

"So uh..." "?" "I got scouted" your eyes widen, he thought all his fears came to life before you hugged him tightly and squealed. "I TOLD YOU YOU HAD A NICE VOICE!!" "You didn't have to yell" "Shut up you cry over stuff like this!" Now you were the one that oddly knew things about him...you were right...he did cry...alot like the whole group knew the next day.

The group try to hype him up into asking you out. "DUDEEEE COME ON THEYRE NOT GOING ANYWHERE" "I can ask to hangout" he mutters holding his phone in his hand "COME ONNN" venti and heizou sync up kazuha speaking up "ask them to go for dinner" his cheeks turn pink almost instantly "UH MAYBE NOT COME ON- WHAT IF-" "and sent" "WHEN DID YOU TAKE MY PHONE?!" "You'll live" Xiao rolls his eyes as aether bickers with him, his phone noti goes off. "Sure what time?" There's a silence in the room as Xiao gives him the phone. "At 4?" "bet ☆" you and those star emojis how are you like this. "ITS A DATE!!" "YEAAAAAAA" they sounded like a frat house.

He gets all giddy on that date and when you two finally go on one you finally hit the maybe were dating phase but you both don't wanna admit it to eatchother. So the rest of 5wirl planned something for you two. "Alr we know he likes them nowww...." "we...." "Why don't we perform for them" "on their friend ani?" "How do you know that..." they turn to heizou "because he saved it on his calander" "..." and so they planned out your ani for you two.

And so their evil plans acted out perfectly, you two went out on another date and later that day you dropped him off at the concert. What you didn't expect was heizou dragging you to a seat. "Stay right here and don't move alright" you watched them get on stage aether seeming to be looking for you, they get to performing when one of the lyrics hit you. "Hey why don't you meet me at four?" An almost slured pronunciation followed by aether finally finding you. His eyes so tender yet teasing. You felt your heart skip a beat a small wink only making you more bashful.

To think the performance would end there nope. As you tried to get off your seat aether greets you with a cheeky smile a small ring in his hand. You turn around quickly. "I guess I flustered you more than he ever will" he leans on you wrapping his arms casually around your waist while you continues to fluster you. "He was just a small crush..." "enough to have you gush for 4 months about it" he laughs softly kissing you cheek. "When did you even gain this much confidence" "small words of advice" your mind immediately goes to Heizou. "Alrighty then..." without a warning you pull your face closer forcing him to slouch over you. "Did heizou tell you what to do incase of this situation aswell?" Thank god that concert hall was almost empty and the seat you were at made it almost impossible to see you two because the next thing you see and hear are a bunch of idiots going YEAAAAAAAAAAA. Aether x y/n shirts and a poster held up by Xiao. They ship it.

You made cute accessories! He's seen your work on social media and reached out. "You're accessories are so cute do you have a store?" "Nah I only sell locally near my college" turns out you both went to the same college he's never did a double check so fast in his life. As soon as he saw you he cupped one of your hands, his eyes sparkling in pure joy. "GIMMIE EVERYTHING IN STOCK!" "HUH?!"

Number one fan he's following you around. He'd be your personal advertisement always wearing your stuff and flexing it to others. He WILL be the most annoying person on campus

When you tell him to stop he just kinda tilts his head until he realizes what your saying as if he finally loaded. "Oh! Alright!" That's when you make an almost massive mistake "I did enjoy your support tho but youre-" "SO YOU LIKE HAVING A FAN?!" And so began the simping. He's all over you. Every class your with him? He's leaning into you, whispering random stuff in your ear. Your eyebags got darker everytime he did this but he was more chill than your online fans.

The days you also leaned into him are the days you've never seen someone more flustered. "Hm?" You lift up your head watching him cover his face quickly. "Venti?" He turns away from you even more. "Don't look at me! Where did you even learn that-" "I mean you do that to me all the time" "don't say it outloud-" "did you just whimper?" He stops suddenly using is braids to cover his face as he mumbles to himself. You bring that up to traumatize him

He had to get used to you showing affection, you weren't even dating yet! Come on, don't do this! Even a small smile he'd tease you for it but he'd definitely scream into his pillow about it.

He only asked you out when you made your feeling for him known. A small note under his door telling asking him to meet up at an amusement park later that weekend was where it clicked he looked and sounded like a little girl you could hear his "YEAAAAAAAA" from your room.

He's doing everything he's on a call with the others he just needs them to hear his my story animated from start to finish. "Can you not play that effen punk music main stream shit can barely hear you" "Shut the fuck up hot topic this is important!" "This is why you fucked up your eyeliner" "I DID?!?!" They all mostly wave at the camera before hanging up leaving you and him alone for the evening

He loved it. He was like a child pointing at things he wanted. "Do you have the money?" He looks away pounting "not an actual question I'll play for it" his eyes widen almost sparkling. You two left flexing your carnival game knowledge and venti covered in plush prizes you won for him.

As payback for the newfound plush army, he invited you to a concert. "Oh so you did have money" "Shut up" "hehe" your teasingly small laugh is so cute stop doing that. What you didn't know is that he strapped some keychains you made on his belt, and he NEVER STOPPED WINKING, if you had to drink everytime he found you in the audience and winked you'd have five drinks...per song. It was cute seeing him smirk whenever you slightly blushed at him.

"Y/n!!" He smiles as you wait for him outside the concert hall. "Lets go to another amusement park!" He giggles embracing you "right now?" "Yea!" You beat him at a rhythm game he liked. You got first in a video game event he liked since then him he's declared you his rival. He wanted to let off some steam at an arcade only to find out he got beat in that game also! With the same name tag as the rythum game champ. He nearly smashes the machine when he notices you step up to it. "Shame, this games kinda better when I'm kicking someone's ass..." You sigh only now, noticing him, smirking at this chance you take it. "You mind playing this with me?" You perk up. Thinking this is a good way to let off steam, he accepts. "I won't go easy." "Alright!" You let him pick the song and almost immediately grab the handbar

Strange, he thinks he doesn't need it. As soon as the song starts, he hears your feet absolutely slam on the board. He's shocked but doesn't look over he's focused on his side of the screen. By the end, you huff heavily, looking up. "You won." You put your fist up for a fist bump. "Ah that songs so annoying~" he dosent give you one back putting in his names for national ranks. That's when he noticed that you put in the name the person on every rythum game had and as soon as you pressed confirm he nearly pounces on you. "SO YOURE THE ONE TAKING THE NUMBER 1 SPOTS EVERYWHERE!" "Yea what about it-" he looks at you angrily, calming down a bit before turning back to you. Ever since then you two have skeduled days to go to the arcade to whale on eatchother and going out to eat afterword. You'd eventually open up to him more and invited him out to places more often. He didn't wanna say it outloud but he genuinely enjoyed those moments

One of the times you two went, you try to teach him gutair hero, he kinda mumbles to himself. "You can just play on your lap" "hmmhmm mhm em You can't be this msm hm" "what-" he realizes he said that outloud and covers his face nearly dropping the gutair. "I didn't hear that last part" he sighs in relief "but do you think im cute?" And so he's even more ashamed of himself. He looks away looking back at you,his eyes softening "I'm fine with the thought of kissing you..well maybe a little more than fine but-" your words were cut off as you feel his lips touch yours. Quick yet soft, his hands wrapping around your shoulders. You lean back trying to catch your breath "...how long have you've been waiting to do that?" Ever since then he's more willing to hang out a little more clingy too. Whenever he had a show he would ask you if you were busy that day before sending you the ticket link. He actively looks for you in the audience. You would text him where you were sitting beforehand, yet he'd still look like a lost puppy. As soon as he finds you, his eyes sparkled. He forced himself to calm down before giving you a small wave

It was by the end of the show where he was performing the last song and you noticed something about their dance it kinda looked like what you would do on a song you knew well. It was then that you realized Xiao made a dance routine inspired by your sweaty gaming dance. You covered your face in embrassment but peaked through your hands. You couldn't believe he paid that much attention to you. He smirks noticing this

As the show ends, he runs over to you, "That was...a little embrassing" you blush a bit. "..." "dosent mean I didn't like it tho!" Trying not to offend him further you mumble on of how great the performance was. At first he's pretty stiff with his arms crossed you'd think he was annoyed till he kissed you again leaning in to hug you. "I'm glad you liked it" he whispers ever so softly in your ear.

He offen saw you working on projects for bands he likes and decided to commission you. He invited you to a studio and you both began to focus on what he commissioned you on. "I'm looking for something calm yet something someone would listen to in the morning to wake them up..." "hmmm" you play a calm chord progression on your gutair. You two always worked together after that whenever he would be lost in thought you'd just play hall of the mountain king behind him. He'd turn around slowly as your playing got more intense. "You think of something?" "..."

You pretty much became 5wirl's offical gutairst after kazuha recommended you. They'd make fun of him for how long you two stayed at the studio together. "Kazuha~, you left us sleeping in the shopping cart again!" Venti grins ear to ear "must really like that gutairst." Kazuha smiles."They're just a friend I find it easy to get along with" he thinks about what you two were talking about his eyes softening as if it were an old fond memory "and he's doing it again" heizou sighs jokingly

A few months of performing together, they treat you as family, almost apart of 5wirl. As soon as Kazuha ever left the room they'd turn to you in a heartbeat. "You sure you don't kiss when we're not looking?" "Eh?!" "Does kazuha usually get all mumbly around you" "he does but-" "I KNEW IT" "dose he show you his unironic leaf collection" they all lean in expectingly. "No wha-" You made sure kazuha was too far to hear what you were about to say "...OK so this one time..." they listened to you like their lives depended on it.

The day you told them about that is the day you regret the most, they always looked you and kazuha up and down. Snicker to themselves. "How much you wanna bet they might kiss today" "CAN YOU TWO CUT IT OUT" you let out a sigh walking into the recording studio to practice, a familiar humming following you in a few secounds later. You two sing together and when you finish he finally speaks up. "You know... this the song I was playing when I first realized I was into you" "heh really" you stop strumming, realizing what he said "wait what-" he laughs softly at your reaction placing a hand on your cheek. "That songs kinda special to me..." he holds your hand tenderly with his unbandaged hand. "Reminds me of how much I love you" your eyes widen a bit as he looks at you with the most soft eyes. "I love you too kazuha" you smile gently, letting him lean in to kiss you

All of them noticed you two were dating it was odvious, the way you two acted around eatchother gave litterally everything away. "You two give eatchother less personal space than before are you dating?" "What?" "And you smell like him-" "how do you know what he smells like" "so you're dating?!" "How did you come to that conclusion?!" You and venti would bicker trying to hide your relationship with kazuha after he forgot to tell you he already told them.

Finally a show came along a small gig surprising a popular idol group would show, but still nice. You looked at the music sheet for the song looked up at him, sighed, and looked back. He looked so pleased giving you a few riffs and you look down to see another reason to go to therapy.

What he didn't put on hell on paper was a very veryyy familiar cord progression. He played it himself and put it in post. Making another version so if you ever asked you wouldn't notice, and a few weeks later they went live

You watched them in the audience, hearing the song you helped on and felt your smile fade into a straight face as you heard your solo along with the memorable melody gutair. He saw this trying to avoid a giggle while performing, he's suffering from you brainrot the rest of the show, some fancams caught him getting kicked by heizou or Xiao.

"So how did you like the show~" "Xiao almost kicked you off the stage..." There's a silence. "He dosent kick hard enough for that...but at least you enjoyed it" he smiles, pinching your cheeks and rubing your face, you look away hearing him giggle at your behavior. "I'll make you a coffee-" "don't you dare make a reference" he smirks at you "hehe"

You were online friends usually playing main stream games or random stuff you found. Youd always play together though, never single player! He hates that

When you combine both these loves, his love for you playing a co-op detective game with you has become the best thing for him to ever experience. "Who will be first to solve this?" Didn't help when you two first saw eatchother. The persons face dropping looking around."Yea?" Without typing back, you walk over sitting infrot of him. He's been going to your house at least once a week now "we should play together" he overbites his lip "I barely charged my secound controller" you overbite your lip back at him "then let's just hang out then I got news bby" visibly cringing at that last bit you let him in with him near instantly showing you a picture of him being accepted into an idol group. "Ohh you're gonna have real fangirls now" "Shut up!" "I'm gonna lead them just to make fun of you" "you're the only fangirl I'd date" "..." You visibly cringe "OH COME ON" "HAHAHA"

And so you were invited to the hell known as a debut concert and dear god was it near impossible to not be as hype as the crowd. Especially catching the fancams with him winking at you. Anyone could tell he was super inlove with whoever he was winking at especially after the group stopped in between a song witch you were barely paying attention to until you heard "I hope you guys never have to play solo!" Could have swore you felt him glare at you "speaking of solo the next songs title is-" all you paid attention to yet you look like you just woke up from a really loud noise.

"Y/n! Did you see it! Did ya like my moves" he smiles at you like a happy little dog. "It was surprisingly great Heizou" "surprising huh?" He pouts as if saddened by that comment. "But the show was amazing Heizou I'd go again" that bright glow of a smile you had is something hell never let go of, without hesitation he holds your hand "marry me" "come again?" "I mean it we should date!" Accidental slip up. He's screwed, you're gonna reject him so blatantly he's never gonna bother you again. "Heizou...that's so sudden" your eyes meet warmly "but I've been thinking the same" kissing his cheek you walk off letting him process what just happened. "WAIT WAIT WAIT YOURE NOT DITCHING ME AFTER SAYING THAT" "MAYBE I AM!" You had to run home that day but it was worth it laughing at him trying to keep up.

Synopsis: How the 5wirl boys + Tighnari react when you move their hair aside to kiss their cheek. Otherwise known as you shamelessly flirting with them.

Venti

It'd been a while since Venti had last invited you out to lunch. Whether the reason had been work related or just a need for space you weren't sure. Though today you felt a surge of confidence. A sort of push like every cell in your body was telling you to finally admit your feelings. As though you'd never get the chance again if you didn't. So you bit the bullet.

"Oh hey, you've got something on your cheek." You stop him in his tracks brushing his braid aside and trying not to physically combust at his cute little hm?

He leans in a little closer, just enough for you to press a quick peck against his cheek. His eyes enlarge for just a quick second and you're almost ready to spurt out some apologetic words when he mutters,

"What's on your lips?" His kiss is soft yet fleeting. Cold from his drink and yet sends heat roaring through your body.

His grin is shitty when he pulls back, a chorus of raucous laughter soon falling off his lips. "You should see your face, it's so cute!" He soon devolves into breathy giggles stopping when he realizes you haven't said a word. Or blinked or.. wait were you even breathing?? "Wait! Name, breathe!"

Your head rests against his knee while he summons calming breezes to your side. "Geez, you kissed me first and yet you could barely handle reciprocation." He tsks teasingly.

"I didn't know you would kiss me back!" You pout

"Ugh the point is we're even now." He retorts with a playful roll of his eyes.

"I guess.."

"So, wanna kiss again?"

Your heartbeat slams against your rib cage. One hand sliding up to your chest entangling your shirt in your fist. "I-I need a minute.."

Heizou

You'd been waiting for what had to have been a full month for Heizou to come back from vacati- his private investigation. And the second you'd heard the rumors that he'd been found and was returning. You knew you had to snag him up before you didn't see him again for another couple months.

"Look at this beautiful view." He cycled on as you rested your face in your palms. "I took this picture the moment I set foot on the island. It truly is a sight to behold. This picture doesn't quite do it justice either because during the night time when the water is bathed with glowing moonlight.. ugh it's quite majestic."

"Hei, you've got a little something on your cheek." You tap your own face with the palm of your index finger.

"Oh." He slides a hand across his face, eyebrows creasing as he looks at his fingers.

"No, right-"

You shift your face to the side, brushing long red strands aside quickly taken aback when your lips are snagged. Pressed against his so suddenly that you nearly snap your head back. But he doesn't allow it, keeping you close with a hand on your cheek. His kiss so firm yet gentle. Before you can even get used to his taste however he's leaving you high and dry.

"There?" He finishes

"Wha-" You ask or well try to as he continues to hold your face. His breath fanning the bridge of your nose as he chuckles.

"I believe your next question is, how long have you known?" He remarks "The definitive answer would be: I've always known. I notice your little lip bites when I make corny jokes. I've noticed the way you absolutely must rub your knee against mine whenever we're sitting close, just as we are now. And I've seen the way your eyes flicker to my lips when you think I'm not watching. I assumed you'd just come out and tell me you like me. I mean I have been waiting for so long, my heart was starting to break." His chuckle is far deeper this time. Far more teasing than the first.

"You're such an annoying little tease." You hiss, shakily entangling his shirt in your grip.

"Come now, you must find some enjoyment from it." He pecks your lips. "Otherwise you wouldn't be clinging to me like this."

Aether

The two of you had finally made plans for the first time since he'd left Inazuma. While you'd always felt like the two of you had a not dating but acts as though you are, kind of relationship today you wanted to take it a step further. Before you'd met up he'd shooed Paimon off to the teapot and prepared a basket of food fit for a banquet. He wanted you to try all his new favorites after all.

"Ae, I think you've got something on your cheek."

He blinks in between bites before leaning closer to your hand. Your thumb slides beneath strands of silky blonde hair brushing them aside before pecking his cheek with a quick kiss. His eyes dart towards yours and without warning he pulls a tissue from the basket bringing it up to his cheek with a quick swipe.

"The wind wiped away your kiss, you have to do it again."

"Why can't you just ask for another kiss like a normal person."

"Lips this time please." He retorts puckering up.

Xiao

Not seeing Xiao for a couple weeks was pretty normal usually but you found yourself missing him these past few days. Which soon lead you to the Wangshu Inn kitchen to prepare a bowl of almond tofu for his return. Once you'd finished and tidied up the space you'd used, you headed back to the balcony. The view swept you away for a moment, quickly entranced by the way the landscape could stretch for miles. Almost so taken in that Xiao's entrance nearly caused you to tip over the bowl in your hands.

"You're here." He greeted simply taking the bowl from your grasp.

"Mhm, How was your patrol?"

He simply huffed heading downstairs to grab a spoon. No surprise there, Xiao never had been ready to conversate after a long patrol.

"Oh hey Xiao, what's that on your cheek?"

You could feel the roll of his eyes despite his back being to you. "I've told you not to dote on me." He stops at the bottom of the staircase, halfway facing you.

"Well you should want to get cleaned up right?" You reply curling a handful of strands around his ear.

"I can do that on my own. Just leave I-" A sound you'd never believed Xiao could make escaped the adeptus in front of you. His face soon hung, the bowl of tofu hanging between shaky fingers. You giggle as you watch his cheeks flush with red, briskly rushing to the tips of his ears.

"Xiao.." You mummer close to his ear unsurprised by the faintest shiver being his only reply. "Thank you for all you do for Liyue." You whisper, without another word you head back upstairs to allow Xiao the space and comfort to eat in peace.

Kazuha

When Kazuha came back to Inazuma he always made sure to spend at least a week at your place. A time in which you'd found that Kazuha took up very little space, he'd always kept his area neat and if he was gone the whole day he'd make sure he'd bring you back some goodies.

This time had been no exception: It was only twelve am when he'd arrived home but he quickly insisted that he whip up a, "thank you for letting him stay" dish. You sat a ways away allowing yourself to become swept up by the intoxicating aroma wafting into the living room.

"It should be ready soon, Name."

Suddenly an idea floated into your head. You stood from your seat softly inching up behind Kazuha. Though it soon proved to be worthless as Kazuha's eyes quickly drifted behind him. A small smile brightening his features.

"Oh, have you come to sneak a taste?"

"Actually, you've got a little-" You smooth his hair back and before you can hesitate further you give his cheek a quick peck leaning back to anxiously take in his expression.

"Hm so that's why you've been so distracted tonight?" He places the spoon in the pan before removing it from the fire. He slowly turns back to you deep crimson eyes filled with adoration. "Is it ok if I kiss you too?" He asks

"Sure.." You're not sure how loud you said it but you soon find Kazuha's lips pressed to yours. The only description you could come up with to describe the way his lips felt against yours being airy, light almost feather-like. As though he had some internal fear he could break you with a single touch.

Before long he's leaning away and you can't help your childish huff. "Don't worry, we can continue once you have dinner." He smiles softly.

"I eat all the time. Kiss me."

Tighnari

Today was kind of special. Tighnari wasn't busy with the usual training of forest rangers and he'd finished his patrol early which meant the two of you had time to take a leisurely stroll. Which for Tighnari meant he could point out random flora and facts about them as you walked. While for you it just meant you could bask in his every word while barely keeping pace because he walks surprisingly fast.

"Are you still listening? I was on a roll there and you missed it."

You trot along till you catch up to his side. "Sorry Nari, hasn't anyone ever told you, you walk super fast?"

"No, I don't believe I've heard that until now actually." He retorts with a small lift of his chin.

"Well anyway for your information I actually was listening. You were explaining the temperatures at which Sumeru roses grow the best in." You reply

"Exactly, excellent!" He perks up, smile broadening "I don't think I'll ever understand why you didn't come with me after we graduated. I don't really need to explain this stuff to you the way I would a rookie forest ranger. Plus you're so skilled with medicinal remedies you'd be such a big help to me and Colliel."

"The akademiya begs for you to come back and you try to talk me into becoming a forest ranger someday. Somethings never change."

His chuckle is dry and you soon realize just how close you're standing. Your elbow resting on his shoulder. The tips of his ear twitching as your breath flutters against them.

"Hey Nari, what's on your cheek?" A small hum leaves his throat as he checks his left cheek with two fingers.

"Huh, did I get it?"

"No I mean this cheek." You whisper, his hair is silkier than you'd thought it would be and when you press a kiss to his cheek you make a mental note of his deep shudder. "There it's off now." You giggle immediately pleased at how quickly his entire face blooms pink.

"Wh-what was that for?"

"Consider it my thank you for a lovely afternoon."

since it’s the last day of november it’s officially christmas so expect christmas/winter writings (I would like to do a 25 one shots of christmas think but we’ll see)

I’m editing this at 2 am I just spent two hours writing heizou and venti and they didn’t save and I’m gonna cry

characters/content: aether, kazuha, xiao, heizou, venti, visi0n reader, mean girls reference in xiao’s, characters are probably ooc, author is writing this at 1am with, please bear with her, heizou and venti are rushed cause they didn’t save and author is having a breakdown

aether: walking in a winter wonderland (matt wertz)

(small a/n: the singer in this cover sounds so much like zach/aether to me??? maybe I just have hearing issues but I swear he does)

“Y/N, your hat!” Aether exclaimed, tossing you your santa hat, pulling his own on and adjusting his mic in the backstage mirror, looking at the small countdown clock that was slowly ticking.

“Thanks, Ae!” You called back, rushing next to him, inspecting yourselves and your matching Santa outfits. Diluc and Childe had decided to do another joint group event for Christmas, but this time it was duets. The two singers were picked from a hat, and you and Aether were the two lucky winners!

You two had decided on a classic song, something simple everyone could sing to, and a song to mainly calm Aether’s nerves. He had claimed it was because since there would be less people on stage, there’d be more eyes on him, but you knew him better than that. Xiao and Lumine did too, seeing as however you mentioned it they changed topic almost immediately. You didn’t press it though, you decided to wait until after the show.

“Okay, you two! Showtime in five!” Childe called, raising his hand for emphasis. Your bandmates, who were also backstage, were ushered away by Diluc, all of them cheering encouragement towards you two. You soon after turned towards Aether, raising your hands up, giving him a smile. “Sing our hearts out, right?”

He looked back at you, before nodding, clasping your hands with a smile. “Right.” You both took a deep breath and let go of each other before you rushed out on stage, waving to the cheering crowd before you. As the music started, you two began your routine, the steps and vocals flowing out of you like a river, the mind-numbing rehearsal helping greatly.

While you two spun and slid across the stage, every time he had the chance, Aether stole a glance at you. Afterwards, when you finished and were talking to the fans, he looked up at the sky. Even though it was cold out, the sky was clear. No sign of snow for a while. He looked back at you, who was having a small bit of banter with Xinyan, giving a smile. Maybe he couldn’t walk in a winter wonderland you now, but he’d be sure to ask at the first sign of snowfall.

kazuha: santa tell me (ariana grande)

“Kazuha, Y/N. Twenty minutes,” Diluc called, walking back to take care of some more preparations as you two nodded, you shaking your hands and letting out a breath.

“Fuuuu… Okay, you got this, Y/N, you got it…” You sighed out, shaking your hands. Kazuha gave an amused smile, grabbing your hands and holding them gently, causing you to look at him.

“What, you’re nervous? Where was this anxiety at your other shows?” He asked, tilting his head a bit. Ignoring his teasing tone, you looked off to the side, subconsciously squeezing his hands a bit.

“Yeah, yeah, I know, but we don’t normally sing stuff like this. What if I mess up? What if I trip over my outfit? This is very long,” you said, reaching back to lift a piece of fabric that was almost to the floor.

Kazuha shook his head, squeezing your hands once more. “You’ll be fine,” he began, looking at you with soft eyes. “Besides, I’m here. And I always will be, even next year.” You paused to look at him, before letting out a small giggle, raising an eyebrow at him. “Did you really just use a line from our song? Seriously?”

He gave a sheepish grin, leaning forward a bit. “Yes, but it made you laugh, right?” He began, before moving one of his hands up to your cheek, rubbing his thumb across it softly. “And I meant every part of it, Y/N.” You stared back at him, your cheeks heating up, while he leaned forward, his own face a light shade of red as he planted a kiss on your free cheek, placing your foreheads together. “I’m not going anywhere, Y/N. You seem too helpless for me to leave you alone right now, anyway.”

You looked back at him with wide eyes, your mouth fumbling over your words, deciding to focus on his last comment while you processed everything else. “Wh…? Hey, I’m not helpless…!” You said, puffing your cheeks out as he grinned, leaning back from you.

“I’d prove that wrong with another kiss, but we go on in like two minutes and I don’t need you shutting down on me.”

“Wh—?! I wouldn’t—! Kazuha!”

You calmed your blush and expression as best as you could as you followed him on stage, deciding it was for the best for you to just turn off your brain and let your practice take over.

He made good on his word though, and you were short-circuited with a few pecks in no time. Well, at least you got a boyfriend for Christmas, even if it did come with relentless teasing from the others, specifically Lumine and Heizou.

xiao: jingle bell rock (bobby helms)

“Okay, you all. On in ten,” Diluc said, walking back to the dressing rooms where the rest of Visi0n was, assumingly to make sure they’d be ready to make their own appearance in time. Meanwhile, you were trying to not giggle at the boys in front of you, four of which were varying degrees of embarrassed, while one was doing a much better job of holding back his laughter, although he had a large smirk on his face.

“Not a word, Alatus,” Aether seethed, pinching his fingers for further effect, pulling his dress down. Normally, Xiao would’ve been annoyed at the use of his middle name, but the sight of his bandmates in the dresses from Mean Girls made it hard for him to be mad at anything right then.

“Archons, this is so embarrassing…” Kazuha sighed, pulling his own dress down, his hands stretching the fabric. Venti looked at himself in the mirror, twirling around a bit as he made finger guns.

“Speak for yourself, Kazuha, I’m rocking this look,” the singer said, making poses in the mirror. “I don’t actually mind losing that game of candy poker as much as I did then now,” he said, doing a catwalk you couldn’t help but giggle at, the others rolling their eyes at him.

“Normally, I’d… probably try and use my humor as well, but it’s way too cold to do that. As soon as this show is over I’m putting on the biggest puffer jacket I can find,” Heizou said, rubbing his arms.

“The choreography will warm you up. Lucky there’s no radio for you to kick into someone’s head either, isn’t there?” Xiao said, pulling a laugh from your throat, Aether squinting his eyes at you.

“Hey, don’t laugh, how would you like it if someone put you in a short dress in this weather?!” He exclaimed, your brain immediately seeing an opportunity to tease him.

“Are you saying you want to see me in that dress, Aether?”

“Wha—?!”

“Oooohh, Aether, I’m telling Lumine~”

“Shut up, Hei—“

“Lumine? Why not go straight to Childe? He’s the manager, you know.”

“Venti!!!”

As the time for you to go on stage eventually arrived, with you and Xiao singing as the other four followed through with their cosplay and performed the Mean Girls choreography, Xiao’s mind couldn’t help but go back to the comment about you in a dress. He was glad everyone was too busy to notice him or the flush in his cheeks.

Later on, you two were watching a recording of the show on the couch in his bedroom of the hotel you all were staying in, laughing at the other members, sipping hot chocolate to warm up from the cold. Soon enough, you placed your up down, adjusting under your blanket to face him, placing your legs up on the chair. “Alright, Xiao, what’s up?”

Xiao looked back at you, a bit of confusion in his face, not expecting you to pick up on him fast. Thankfully, for him, he had spent a good amount of time carefully crafting the question he wanted to ask you, the perfect wording in his mi—

“Do you want to go on a date with me?”

Well, that’s all out the window.

“Huh? Oh…!”

As he was mentally cursing himself in three different languages, you looked up at him, already being able to tell he was struggling to express himself. You let out a small sigh, leaning over and pressing a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth, causing his brain to freeze mid-thought. As he opened his mouth, you placed a finger to his lips.

“Yes, I’ll go on a date with you. Yes, I mean it. We can figure out the details later. For now, just try and get your brain unscrambled, okay?” You said, wrapping your arms around him, pulling the blanket around both of you. Xiao simply gave a nod, wrapping his arms around you, placing his chin on your figure, looking back at the laptop where you were already putting on a movie for yourselves to watch.

heizou: last christmas (wham!)

You closed your eyes as Barbara powdered some blush onto your face, Xinyan and Yun Jin fixing up your hair, Lumine holding your hand on your free side. You were all talking a bit before you had to go on stage, trying to calm your nerves.

“So you get to go on with Heizou! That’s really great, I’m glad for you, Y/N. Especially since you like him, right?” Barbara asked, you giving a small hum of affirmation, opening your eyes to look at the mirror, rotating your head to look at your appearance.

“Yeah… Although I’m nervous. You know how he is, he definitely knows. I don’t know why he hasn’t said anything about it, though. I really think he just doesn’t like me back.” You said, almost immediately being met with various protests.

“Hey, ‘m sure Heizou likes ya back just as much, m’kay? Maybe he just doesn’t know how to say it, s’all,” Xinyan said, Yun Jin nodding and adding on to her statement. “Yeah, people who are observant over others normally aren’t too observant about themselves, right?” She said, you giving a small sigh.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right… I think I’m gonna ask him later, and if I don’t get a yes, I’ll just move on from him. I don’t want a repeat of… you know.” You said, all of the girls nodding and hugging you from all sides, squeezing you gently.

“Of course, you deserve at least that much. And no matter what happens, we’ll always be here for you, right?” Lumine said, a small chorus of agreement followed as you reached up, cherishing the bandmates who meant the world to you.

“Alright, now go out there and kill it!” Lumine said, the other three cheering with her as you stood, taking a deep breath and heading behind the curtain.

You walked next to Heizou, who seemed to be in thought about something, quickly snapping out of his thoughts with a smile towards you. “Y/N! Ready to go out there and sing?” He asked, raising a hand for you to squeeze. You looked back at him, before forcing a smile, nodding and gently, briefly squeezing his hand. He found it odd, but there was no time to address it, he’d just have to ask later after his own plans for later that night.

Later on, you and Heizou had met up at a park near your hotel, sitting on the swings next to each other. You had been idly chatting about things for a while, and you had been trying to bring up the courage to ask about his feelings in response to yours. Eventually, you steeled your nerves and plunged into the metaphorical water.

“Heizou, we both know that you know how I feel about you already, so please, just be honest with me. Do you feel the same?” You ask, swallowing back the pleading tone in your voice. Heizou looked over at you, before giving a smile, pulling something out of his coat pocket and handing it to you.

“Well, it’s like George Michael said, right? With a note saying "I love you", I meant it~” he sang, watching as you took the heart shaped box, reading the careful calligraphic on the top.

‘Merry Christmas, Y/N. I’m glad I got to sing with you. Now, let’s keep doing it for the rest of our lives, okay?’

You looked at the redhead, who walked over gently leaning towards you.

“I’m sorry I didn’t say anything before, I just didn’t know how. But, I’m glad I finally did. And you are too, right?” He said, letting out a breathy chuckle as you wrapped your arms around him, leaning in.

“Yes, yes I am,” you said, closing the gap between you two, pressing a soft kiss to his lips in the moonlight.

venti: all I want for christmas is you (mariah carey)

“Thank you for coming out, everyone! And as always, we’ll see you next time!” Venti said, giving a wave to the crowd who clapped and cheered while you two went off stage. You had just gotten done with one of your many performances of the song that seemed to be the embodiment of Christmas itself. It wasn’t a bad song, mind you, but having to perform it so many times made it very tiring very fast. Well, at least you had Venti to do it with.

Later on, after your final performance for a hit, both of your bands had gathered in the hotel preparing yourselves for the night you all had planned full of Christmas movies, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and gingerbread houses.

After a long night of fun with yourself and your bands mates, you found yourself alone on the balcony, reminiscing over the night.

At least, you thought you were alone.

“Y/N? Oh, you’re still up. Is everything alright?”

You looked back at Venti, giving him a nod and a smile as he plopped down on the space next to you on the balcony couch.

“Yeah, I’m okay. Just thinking, y’know? Tonight was fun and all, but it feels like something was missing, is all…” you said, trailing off. Venti gave you a nod, before pointing up, turning your attention towards the ceiling above you.

“Maybe that’s what it was?” He suggested, your face turning red at the prospect. You liked Venti, sue, but the thought of kissing him made you sweat. He looked at you, giving you a grin and leaning forward, giving you a teasing look. “C’mon, Y/N, you know the rules~”

You took a breath, shaking off your nerves. You knew Venti wouldn’t leave you alone about it, and besides, what’s the worst that would happen, right? You resolved to kiss him on the cheek, but like how most cliches go, he ended up tilting his head and kissing you on the lips instead. You felt him softly melting into your warmth, before pulling back, almost too quick for your taste.

He looked at you, grabbing your hands and squeezing them gently, an uncharacteristic nervous blush on his face. “I… didn’t expect that to actually work. But that doesn’t matter. I like you, Y/N. And I hope you like me back too.” He said, waiting for your response.

You looked back, a small smile creeping onto your face, giving him a small nod in response. “Yes, I like you too, Venti,” you said, leaning forward and wrapping your arms around him. He let out a small sigh of relief, leaning into you.

“I’m glad. All I wanted was you. And I actually mean that, not just the song.”

You gave a laugh at his quick end comment, before pulling him back inside, the two of you heading to sit next to each other, holding hands as you drifted off to sleep.

A/N: recent event got me back in my xiao lover era

a senior that always gets mistaken as a freshman </3 sophomore at best

got adopted by the sophomores and juniors back in freshman year and hung out with them predominantly until they all graduated leaving him behind to suffer

has gotten into fights before cuz man indirectly pisses people off - won all of them since he knows when he can’t take someone on - man’s a short king

him and the other boys in the friend group jumped a few people for making negative remarks about the girls

the kid always in the back that’s in their own world and that you’re 90% sure is on something half the time

surprisingly amazing in group projects - always gets his assigned work done days before the set deadline

not necessarily sporty but when it comes to gym and picking teams he’s normally picked first due to how he’s unintentionally a menace how fast he is

plays the flute and is in art club

however he always got frustrated because of whenever they were supposed to work with paint or clay it always ended up on his clothes

wears artist gloves all the time which shows off his black nails with his ring fingers painted teal

has the most stable hands ever known to man - there’s a reason why his iconic eyeliner’s always on fleek

wears headphones instead of earbuds

got made fun of for being short in middle school so he wears shoes with platforms

good luck finding this man in something that isn’t black or silver jewelry - the most will be accents of teal

speaking of teal, he dyed it himself bleach and all.

sometimes gets asked what his haircut is called and he always freezes up and doesn’t know what to say so they all assume he’s gatekeeping which he isn’t - he just took a pair of scissors in the middle of the night and chopped some of his hair off

bro’s accessory collection is lowkey astounding - rings, chains, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair clips - which leads for him to be ostracized from most boys at school; them claiming he wasn’t “masculine” enough leading him to feel even more out of place than he already does

girls love him but are soon put off by his lack of social skills

teachers love him for how chill and mellowed out he is but some despise him for how little he’s willing to work with others and how little he participates in class

isn’t doing the greatest in the league of social ladders

frequents the guidance counselor’s office which so happens to be his legal guardian - zhongli - for anger management

has naturally sharp canines

has the potential to get all A’s but sticks to B’s since he has barely any respect for the school system and doesn’t see the need to put in his full effort

but then again most of his classes are AP so-

writes really small and just slightly messy

doodles in the margins of assignments and notes are so real for him - mainly consisting of flowers, anatomy of skulls, and spiderwebs in every corner

sometimes when he wears sleeveless tops and his zip-up hoodie you can manage to spot a glimpse of his arm tattoos if you’re lucky

his backpack for the first semester is horrendously messy and has a singular mechanical pencil along with crumpled paper, a pristine sketchbook, and the rest of his classes textbooks

the second semester however he’s got everything in there - gum, highlighters, multiple pencils, sticky notes, hand sanitizer, fake hall passes, lotion, and backup jewelry

Aether:

Aether was the first cat you adopted. You had been lonely lately, so you went to your local shelter, and found this beautiful golden baby with a white starburst on his chest.

The staff told you that he'd been separated from his littermate a while ago, and seemed quite sad.

You couldn't resist him after that, declaring that he was now your baby. You named him, signed the papers, and that was that.

You brought him home, made him comfortable, then settled in for some relaxation, hoping to give him some time to adjust.

After exploring your home some, he hopped up next to you, and gently put his paws on your lap.

"What is it, Ae baby?"

He licked your nose, then curled up next to you.

Aether is exceptionally good when you have company, the politest baby, always asking before cuddling someone. He also gives everyone thorough sniffs.

Eventually, though, your vacation ended, and you had to return to your job.

Aether always seemed so sad when you left, and so happy to see you when you returned.

But you could tell he was lonely. So you decided to adopt another cat to keep him company.

Venti:

The next cat you adopted was a shiny black kitty with turquoise eyes and a green sheen to his fur.

He had been biting his kennel when you came around the corner to see him, but as soon as he made eye contact, he rolled onto his belly and chirped at you.

You were captivated. Once again wasted no time in naming, signing papers for, and taking home this beautiful baby.

He took to Aether very well, though Aether looked a little bit steamrolled.

The first thing Venti did upon being released into your home was roll on top of a sleeping Aether.

Aether woke up very confused, and immediately dragged himself out from under Venti.

You could swear that Venti pouted.

Venti is a chatty kitty. Even if he's not with you, you can hear him meowing away in the other parts of the house.

The only times he's not talking are when he's sleeping, eating, or hiding.

The first time Venti disappeared, you freaked out.

You realized you hadn't seen him since that morning, and it was approaching dinnertime.

After calling his name several times, Aether caught your attention with a demure meow. When you looked at him, he trotted to the fireplace and meowed up the chimney.

"Aether, what- VENTI?!"

You dragged Venti out of the chimney. "How on earth did you get up there?!"

He continued to disappear randomly.

After a while you just gave up, figuring Venti would show up when he was hungry.

One time, he crawled out of your linen closet, disheveled and not quite aware of his surroundings yet.

You were pretty sure he'd slept in there for three days.

Venti was not allowed to come out whenever you had company.

Too rambunctious and mischievous.

He would steal anything and everything.

Before you started keeping him in your room when you had company, he'd taken a cap, a ring, a necklace, and someone's hairtie.

He'd even shoved his face in someone's drink. That was the last straw for him.

Xiao:

Xiao was an unplanned adoption. He didn't even come from the shelter!

His story was possibly your favorite.

It was midnight when you heard the sounds of a catfight outside.

Fearing for Venti and Aether, you woke up immediately and began looking for the source of the sound.

You're actions disturbed the golden cinnamonroll at the end of your bed, his face fur all smooshed on one side.

An insistent meow came from the living room, and you found Venti pacing the windowsill there. Petting him soothingly, you looked outside, your porch light casting an orange glow.

A flashing of eyes caught your eyes, and you gasped when you saw a small , and medium-haired black and dark gray tabby with golden eyes fighting off at least three rats, maybe more. You ran to your linen closet and grabbed a towel before running out the door.

The rats scattered as your front door opened, but the cat didn't. He remained in place, breathing heavily with his head down.

You cautiously moved towards him, then before he could run, scooped him up in your towel. He hissed at you, but even through the towel you could tell he had wounds.

Luckily, you had the necessary medicines and vaccines.

When you closed the front door, Venti hopped off the windowsill, and then sat at your feet, quietly meowing at the writhing bundle in your arms.

"Sorry, baby boy, but he's not in a good mood right now."

You gave the dark tabby a brief bath, Venti still meowing from the floor.

Aether came in while you were tending to the other cat's wounds, and before you could stop him, he'd darted forward and licked the other kitty on the forehead.

To your surprise, the other cat then immediately relaxed. He fell asleep! Aether purred smugly, and you had to wonder if he'd met this cat before on his brief ventures outside.

You kept the new cat exclusively inside for several weeks, eventually caving and naming him "Xiao". He wasn't very happy about being kept inside, but he tolerated it as best as he could.

Picky eater. Hated the dry kibble you had, so you had to set his food aside separately and drizzle water over it.

Eventually, you removed the last bandage from Xiao, and as you were leaving for work, you finally let him out.

You didn't expect him to come back, but when you came home, he was sitting on your porch, vigilantly scanning the yard below.

"Hi, brave boy!" you cooed. His ears flicked at you, and he stood up and arched his back.

Then he meowed at you, and you thought you were dreaming. He'd never meowed at you before, only hissed or growled.

When he followed you inside, and then joined the cuddle pile on the bed that night, you could have cried for how happy and proud of him you were.

Xiao is easily provoked and also quite shy, so he very rarely meets company. He only comes out when he's heard or smelled someone several times before, and even then he only watches from a distance, sitting straight up on the farthest stool, his golden eyes narrowed at the perceived interloper.

Kazuha:

You woke up to an unfamiliar weight on your chest and a strange purr rumbling around you.

You pried open your eyes at a wailing from Aether, and were immediately faced with crimson eyes.

A long haired, cream colored kitty with an orange spot on his right ear, and a few other speckles scattered through his fur stared down at you from your chest.

"What the-"

Xiao jumped up beside you and bapped the newcomer on the head, causing him to hiss.

"Xiao, no! Be nice!" You scolded, still pinned under the cream cat loaf.

"Excuse me, sir, I would like to get up. How'd you get in here?"

Venti chirped from your windowsill then, and you could swear he looked more mischievous than usual.

"Welcome home, vagrant," you mumbled as the cream cat stretched and removed himself from you.

You closed your window with a glare at Venti, who was washing his face, pointedly ignoring you.

"Okay, now what did you come here for?" You ask the newcomer, who is being intently inspected by Aether, and glared at by Xiao.

You give him a few strokes, and immediately noted several mats and knots in his fur. You probe farther and find a few scars, and an open wound on one of his front paws. He only hissed when you tried to get a closer look at his paw, curling it up to his chest in pain.

You got sick the next day, so you spent the next couple of days taking care of both yourself and this new kitty cat. You combed out his fur after a bath, tended to his paw and a few other wounds, and investigated his scars to make sure they weren't infected.

By the time you were well enough to return to work, the cat you had named "Kazuha" looked much healthier and happier.

He liked to follow Xiao outside, but opposed to stalking around the yard like he was on patrol, Kazuha preferred to nap in the sunny flowerbeds.

Occasionally, he'd wander off like Venti, but he always came home in time for dinner, even sometimes dragging Xiao or Venti with him.

You figured he'd leave when he was ready.

Kazuha was another cat that you let your guests meet, as he was gentle, quiet, and not easily provoked. They especially loved his fur, and one time, someone suggested that he might actually be a fairly prestigious breed.

Regardless, you didn't have a birth certificate, so you couldn't do anything about that.

Heizou:

You were at work when you saw this dark ginger and black tabby pacing in front of a tree.

When you clicked your tongue as a greeting, he swiveled his head around, and piercing green eyes met yours. He yelled at you, but didn't leave the base of the tree.

You saw him again the next day. And the day after that. Sometimes, you had your lunch break outside where he hung around, and he would join you.

He liked to sniff your food, then he'd wander off and try to catch whatever insects flew his way.

You even watched him stalk a squirrel once. He caught it, but then he let it go, tilting his head as it ran away in a panic.

After asking around, you'd determined that this sweet, playful ball of energy was just a stray. Somehow, he'd avoided Animal Control each time they came around, and they'd given up on him.

You resolved to take him home.

The first time, you'd called him over, calling him "Heizou", but when you'd tried to pick him up, he'd bounded away, his tail held high.

What a brat.

He knew it too, you could tell by the way he watched you as he washed his paws.

Eventually, you gave up, and on your next lunch break, you made a small sacrifice.

You opened a can of fish and left it in the passenger's seat of your car, as well as a small dish of water, left the window down a bit, and went back to work.

You came back to your car later to see the sassy tabby sleeping in the seat, the can knocked to the floor.

Your hands were shaking as you quickly unlocked the car, opened the door, and got in. You were rolling up the window when he sleepily opened an eye. Then he yawned and stretched his paws out.

You brought him home without an incident.

And when you opened the door to your house to let your kitty parade in, he fell right into line.

Heizou immediately got along well with Aether and Kazuha, and Venti to some degree.

Xiao was not a big fan at first, especially since Xiao was very possessive over Aether as his cuddle buddy, and Heizou stepped all over that.

You'd occassionaly let Heizou out to play when you had guests over, but usually only if there were kids who would play with him like he enjoyed.

Heizou enjoys yarn, cat toys, and scratchpads. You even caved and finally bought an indoor cat tree, one with enough space for all of your silly boys.

Scaramouche:

Scaramouche wasn't even your cat.

Xiao had discovered him first, and the fight was enough to bring you running from your office.

He had apparently decided that hiding under your porch was the best way to escape from his real owners across the street.

You had no idea how those ladies put up with him.

He was mean.

Still, you couldn't just let him starve, so you set out his own dishes of food and water, then explained to your neighbors where he was.

They patted you on the head and gave you their gratitude. They said he was "in a phase", but they were glad he'd found someone who would let him get over it.

They'd actually tried to come and get him back several times, but he always managed to vanish.

Whatever his problem was, he's occasionally get over it enough to slink out onto the porch and glare at you.

Don't you dare look back at him, though. As soon as you make eye contact, he runs away.

And avoids your place for several days.

That bothers you and his owners, but there's nothing you can do about it.

Still, it makes you sad that such an obviously pampered cat would have such a mean streak :(
