right, little hamilton (the musical- not based on the real events) theory and bear with me (i dont know if this has been sent before but i sure as hell havent seen it):
in 'Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down)', Hamilton says that hes nit gonna throw away his shot until the world turns upside down, yet later on in the song (and hell, even in the name) it says the world turns uoside down.
fast forward, after that when has he needed to use a gun himself?
In his duel with Burr, thats the first time after the battle of Yorktown he's needed to use a gun. he threw away his shot after then. THE BRITISH SOLDIERS PREDICTED IT (with their drunken singing). IT ALL TIES TOGETHER AND ITS BRILLIANT
(idk i got at like 3am and i probably have thought way too deep into this lol)
I guess it's a special kind of moment when you evolve from the usual altar-mounted candlelit ritualistic magic stuff to something more compatible with hectic day-to-day life, like fogging a mirror or polished table and making an automatic drawing sigil and giggling or scowling at it to fire it, like some Constantine-looking urban working-class 'gician.
“day of death” feels like an episode that would have aired around this time, and yet we got it in s2, and us chenford clowns have been on a crash collision course ever since.
being vulnerable is so hardddd its so harddd its hard and it's hard not only bc it's hard and ur opening urself up for possible hurt but because people who not vulnerable are constantly working to convince you that u would be better off not being vulnerable too. that ur vulnerability is smth to be mocked or laughed at or smth that will make u an easy target and u should hide. but the thing is? life is infinitely better when engaged with earnestly. the pain ur protecting urself from by not doing that is nothing compared to the joy u would feel by doing it.
One of my new favorite hobbies is writing a character that the fanbase (for some reason) has decided is a womanizer/manwhore and turning them into an absolute rizzless loser
