i dont wanna be saying ‘happy’ tdov, but i wanna be saying its been my DREAM to get to 10 boy-years old. its amazing to me that at some point, i will have lived longer as a man than i did as a girl.

i have dreams of becoming an old man. old and skilled with trembling hands and skin that lost elasticity. an elder. a grandpa.

aging as a transgender, transsexual person is such a beautiful gift. aging as as an NDN is a gift. i’m more transgender today than i was yesterday and so on for every day to come

What exactly "terfs" are

I see a lot of young people say "lol fuck terfs" or something similar and then I see them say stuff like:

"you can only be a lesbian nonbinary if you're AFAB, otherwise, you're not a lesbian" - this is anti trans and nonbinary statement (aka "terfs")

"transgender people can't be gay or lesbian" - this is anti trans and nonbinary statements (aka "terfs")

"2spirit people aren't in the trans umbrella, they're just spicy cis" - this is xenophobic/racist towards indigenous populatons AND anti trans and non image statement (aka "terfs")

And so many more things

Terfs = trans EXCLUSIONARY radical feminists.

They hate transgender people. They hate nonbinary people. They can be "seemingly harmless" or "just superficial" things that make trans and/or nonbinary people "YIKES 😬" . They can be as severe as screaming trans people are p3d0s. They can be as severe as funding anti transgender government representatives and/or sending their money to organizations that are pro-conversion therapy for transgender people.

Because why the hell would you try to control how your community chooses to identify on behalf of your oppressors? And why does the language we use have to conform to western/colonizer ideals of "normal"? And why is your scale for validity dismissive of anything that doesn't conform to the colonized, western ideals of gender?

Performing for them and doing their colonial little patriarchy dance won't save any of us from their hate crimes.

But it will show us who you're willing to throw under the bus so you can have a crumb of their approval.

made another, longer, zine <3 this one is about ndn stuff. i thought back on what was smth i explain to ppl a lot irl and one thing is my frustration with the call to tradition in ntv circles and my new understanding of ntv politics and why many ndns ive met irl have been conservatives. hope its understandable, just been enjoying getting out my thoughts in this format!

as well - i dont think i made it fully clear. but one thing i want to say here is that many tribes are wrong to not pursue solidarity with other marginalized usamericans, but i understand more where that feeling comes from after studying & working in native history/law/research. its one of our biggest obstacles to change is the way tribes refuse to align w other usamericans, even refusing to align w other tribes bc of decades centuries old conflicts that we still hold on to the grudges of

Hi Pillowfolx. We want to wish our Trans, Nonbinary, and Two Spirit community a safe and affirming Trans Day of Visibility. We encourage you to find a moment of Trans joy today.

We can’t continue this writing without acknowledging the transgender genocide currently occuring. In the United States alone 44 states have introduced anti-trans bills. These bills will cause irreparable harm to trans youth and trans adults.

Transgender people deserve to exist and have equal rights. They deserve healthcare. They deserve to not live in fear.

Now more than ever Trans, Nonbinary, and Two Spirit community members need your support to stay alive. Consider advocating for Transgender rights by contacting your local elected officials. Consider donating to organizations such as Point of Pride, TransLatin Coalition, Trans Lifeline, National Black Justice Coalition, The Prism Foundation, and The Trevor Project.

I’ve peeked at the tags but also the search engine on here isn’t the best; are there any other forums, websites, listservs, social media sites, etc. that have communities or resources for intersex, queer, transfem, transmasc, transsexual, and/or 2spirit people? Can you reblog or comment with the ones you know about? I’m trying to find open spaces (e.g. something not hidden behind a “join” wall, or difficult to navigate for the purposes of cataloging information, like discord or twitter unfortunately are)
