Now that I'm a good ¾ of the way through one piece I'm gonna complain about something that's kinda been bugging me; I don't like how little time the crew has actually been together - and I'm not saying this in the they get split up each island type way I mean in more the Brook was on that ship for a week before the 2 year gap and its not like the rest of the crew is much better from what I can gather from the time Luffy first met zoro til they arrived on sabaody about 6 months had passed if we're being generous I don't know something about the fact that usopp spent more time with that bug man then his crew annoys me so much

#one piece #dont get me wrong im still enjoying the series #this is just one of those personal annoyances #i think it annoys me aswell bc it makes the one piece world somehow feel smaller in my brain #as i know it used to take ships travelling from Ireland to America 3 months #so knowing it took the staw hats around the same amount of time #to literally travel half way round their world #tiny tiny world they got their #also obviously irl theyve been travelling together for over 25 years #but in universe #im pretty sure those people on that 9 month cruise will have spent more time together by the end of their voyage #then the straw hats currently have #anyway small personal complaint

tbh possibly the funniest move nintendo has ever made was rereleasing sksw, The Timeline Game, like a year before totk, getting all the new botw fans obsessed with the timeline lore, and then fucking everything up with zero explanation in totk. i hope they never explain it i hope they just leave it like this forever

#fave spotting #patrick troughton #the adventures of the scarlet pimpernel #doctor who #classic doctor who #two #itp #itc #1955 #I've had a nice rhythm going lately with pairing a 50 min series (usually The Saint these days‚ tho not for much longer...) with a shorter #25 min one to dip into when I've less time or whatever. with The Adventurer over (adieu and farewell Gene Bradley you insane #multi talented everything) i thought I'd change it up a little and go for a much earlier itc series for a different tone. so early in fact #that they weren't even ITC yet; the company was then known as the Incorporated Television Programme Company‚ ITP for short‚ but be not #fooled; this is in every way the Lew Grade led company that would come to dominate the commercial tv world in the decades to follow #The Adventures of Robin Hood is usually identified as the first ITC production but in fact it beat this series to the screen by only #3 days and the two shows were presumably in production simultaneously. Hood went on to be the making of ITC and Lew Grade and lasted #a whopping 143 episodes over 4 years; Pimpernel made it to only 18 despite being planned as a 39 part series (standard length for these #early itc shows). exactly what went wrong i dont know; Goring was heavily involved in production as well as starring and maybe that played #a part‚ or maybe the popular success of Hood meant this show was no longer affordable. idk im just speculating but from #what I've seen it's fairly fun. starting on ITV just a week after the network commenced transmission‚ it's safe to say this didn't capture #the public imagination like Hood did and it does seem to have been rather forgotten about. Pat is actually a series regular and these #pics come from a few different eps among the first few. he isn't in the very first (nor is the Pimpernel's other faithful companion #played by Anthony Newlands) and i do wonder if that was a pilot (it has Robert Shaw as the Pimpernel's right hand and to my #knowledge he doesn't reappear; he'd make up for it with a starring role in one of ITC's next series‚ The Buccaneers #but yes he's here and he's fantastic and gets to be dashing and heroic (tho never moreso than Goring of course). he's also the one of the #three heroes who best suits the powdered hair look (Newlands looks quite unfortunate). and of course i know what im doing with that #last shirtless pic.. you're welcome Pat girlies (gender neutral)#maybe I'll make another post after I've seen a few more eps but i wasn't going to commit to a Pat post for every episode im afraid

Just out of curiosity, why do you often draw Warabi in a suit? I've seen a lot of drawings of yours with him wearing one and I was wondering if there was a story behind it! :)

HI ANON! thanks for asking, I found like 4 drawings in total of him wearing a suit of all the tens of drawings I made of him of the past years. If I'm honest I think I did more but I cant find them or they are just really simple doodles.

I think I draw him in suit cus I don't think Warabi is some kind of rebellious kid, he's a 28-year-old man (on the events of splatoon 2) who has a lot of money and tries to give the impression of BUSSINESS. He's extremely professional and with high standards. A part, he looks fucking sick on suit and surrounded by bodyguards.

so it turns out it was actually never that serious

#the exam literally went fine what the fuck just happened i feel like i just hallucinated that #like im not one of those people that go 'omg i did soooo badly :(' just to come out with top grades if i say it's going to shit #then it's becuase i genuinely wholeheartedly believe it #and my headspace before this exam was the worst it's been in MONTHS like i havent felt that bad for an exam since first year #and i sat down opened the paper and. remembered everything. like i literally just Knew the answers #im not saying ive passed bc am i fuck about to jinx it and i was still riding mainly blind bc i have NO idea where that knowledge came from #but at the very least there was a 35 marker that i KNOW i aced like i could picture the exact lecture slides it wanted me to discuss #and i had all of them memorised so at the very least ive got like. 30 marks. which is enough for me to pass the module #bc this exam is only weighted 75% and with my marks from the other 25% i only needed like 20 marks to pass this exam #which... makes it even more embarrassing that i failed it the first time but whatever!!!!#oh my god im so glad that's done im so happy IM FREE #just been in the kitchen dancing around to my little tunes and texting my friends <3 #im meeting up with one of them when she gets off work at 5 and we're going for drinks #so ive got until then to nap and chill and then ill go to the shop and get us some food and wine #and she's gonna come here for a bit & then we'll go. like actually look at me. im having people over at MY HOUSE im going out to buy us WIN #im literally a functioning adult living independently who IS she a misty memory #alas i do only have £23 in my account so this is gonna be such a slay seeing how i make that stretch for a night out #i acc could budget for england when it comes to alcohol i think like the way i manage to have a good funky time with MINIMAL funds #is downright impressive. it's a skill idc what you say #hella goes to uni
