我が家の猫、犬のように腹を撫でろと要求してくるので、気付けば猫フォルダは仰向け画像で溢れています。
犬みたいに可愛く擦り寄ってきてくれれば良いのに、人間の前に飛び出してきてはドテン！と転がって腹を見せて進路を塞いでくる当たり屋っぷりです。怖いよ。もはやスキンシップではなく脅迫だよ。腹撫でろ強要罪。
さあ腹を撫でるがよい。もうね、この顔、かわいくおねだりする顔ではないですよね。撫でなきゃお前を捕って食う、みたいな顔ですよ。捕って食われたくないので素直に撫で回してやります。
かわいいより先立つ、圧。撫でろの圧。
猫ってこんな腹撫でに執着する生き物でしたっけ……？

今日、猫の脱走疑惑が浮上して、1時間ぐらい本気で家の中と庭周辺と周りの畑を探し回りました。
脱走疑惑浮上は昼頃のこと。いつもだったらエサ皿にカリカリを入れると家のどこに居てもすっ飛んでくる猫が、しばらく経っても全く現れず。そして首輪に付けている鈴の音も全く聞こえてきません。いつもだったら少し動くだけでも家の中のどこかでチリチリ鳴っているというのに。
あれ？猫来ない？と私がエサ皿の前で首を傾げていると、母親が
「そういえば1時間ぐらい前に、おばあちゃんの荷物外に運ぶために玄関開けっ放しになってたわ」
「……え？」
いつもだったら気を付けて玄関を開け閉めして、扉を開け放すことは絶対にしないし、猫は猫で外に出ていく素振りも見せないのですが。
今回は開けっ放し、そして母親が出入りしているもんだから、一緒について出ていったという可能性もあり。
もし外に出ていったとしたら、完全室内飼い猫なので戻ってこれる可能性は低い……というわけで、わりと頑張って畑の中のモサモサに分け入って探したんですが、30分以上家の周りを見て回っても全く手がかりが掴めません。短時間でそこまで遠くに行けないだろうとは思いつつ、これだけ探してもいないということは、車の音とかにびっくりして遠くまで走っていってしまったんだろうか……？
どうしたら良いか分からないまま、一旦家の中に戻ってみたところ。
あれだけ家の中も二人で探し回ったというのに、何食わぬ顔をして猫が階段を降りてきたのでした。え、おま、どういう、えっ？？？？
結局猫がどこに隠れていたのかは分からずじまいのまま。まあでも、外に出ていっていなくて良かったんですけども……。
どこかから戻ってきた猫は、悠々と補充されたカリカリを食べ、そのままケージの中に設置してある寝床に戻っていきました。何なんだよ……人騒がせな……。思わずいつもは開けっ放しにしているケージの扉を閉めてやりましたとも。ええ。
