To follow up on my Hosanna poll, I think before things go any further, it'd be good to actually explain and define it. I was initially going to wait until the end of the poll, but it seems that google is giving people a lot of bad and/or conflicting answers and I'd rather people walk away with the correct information.
So! Hosanna is an anglicized version of the Hebrew words "hosha na" [הושע נא or as a contraction הושענא]. Hosha na is a little enigmatic and hard to translate, but the simplest translation is probably "save us, please." It's traditionally used as an exclamation to G-d to rescue us, but it also has shades of being a triumphant shout (the implication being confidence that G-d will save us.)
Jews say "hoshanot" (the plural of hosha na) as part of our traditional Sukkot liturgy, and is something we do still today.
For us, the multi-faceted meaning of the root word allows us to have multiple layers of meaning. During Sukkot, we start praying for rain in its proper season and amounts, and we shake the lulav and etrog as part of these processions and liturgy. On Hoshana Rabba [the "great hoshana"], the last day of Sukkot, we process around the bimah (front lectern) seven times as a completion of our season of repentance and our starting of the new year with abundant blessings.

Historical meaning
Since those welcoming Jesus were Jewish, as of course Jesus himself was, some would interpret the cry of "Hosanna" on the entry of Jesus in its proper meaning, as a cry by the people for salvation and rescue.
Christian reinterpretation
"Hosanna" many interpret as a shout of praise or adoration made in recognition of the messiahship of Jesus on his entry into Jerusalem
It is applied in numerous verses of the New Testament, including "Hosanna! blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lᴏʀᴅ!" (Matthew 21:9,15; Mark 11:9–10; John 12:13), which forms part of the Sanctus prayer; "hosanna in the highest" (Mark 11.10); and "hosanna to the Son of David" (Matt 21:9). These quotations, however, are of words in the Jewish Psalm 118. Although not used in the book of Luke, the testimony of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem is recorded in Luke 19.
In church music
The "Hosanna Anthem", based on the phrase Hosanna, is a traditional Moravian Church anthem written by Bishop Christian Gregor of Herrnhut sung on Palm Sunday and the first Sunday of Advent. It is antiphonal, i.e. a call-and-response song; traditionally, it is sung between the children and adult congregation, though it is not unheard of for it to be done in other ways, such as between choir and congregation, or played between trombone choirs.
The bottom line:
Jews and Christians have different connections, associations, and meanings attached to this word as expressions of our different theologies and texts. The word is derived from a Hebrew word and was created by Jews and is still used by us today. (Like literally today - we are currently in the middle of the Sukkot festival.) Christians changed the meaning to fit within their own context, and pronunciation of the word evolved with linguistic drift over time. In the same way that there's not a reason to pitch a fit over saying Jesus rather than Yeshua, there's no compelling reason to change hosanna back to hosha na; if anything, the distinction helps make it clear that it's effectively a different word and concept from ours.
On the other hand, I do think Christians ought to know the original meaning of the word if they're going to use it. To only ever know their version when it was derived from ours is yet another small way of playing into supercessionism by erasing and replacing the Jewish context of things that were originated in Judaism that Christians have embedded in Christianity. While the Christians of today cannot unwind the supercessionism of Christian history, they *can* choose to understand their present Christianity in ways that do not play into supercessionism and that respect the Jewish community of today.

«On November 8, after completing harried trials of Dakota prisoners taken after their surrender at Camp Release, Henry Sibley presented the list of 303 condemned Dakota men to the US government.
Two days later, President Lincoln wired Gen. John Pope, Sibley’s superior: "Please forward, as soon as possible, the full and complete record of these convictions."
Lincoln and his lawyers then reviewed the trial transcripts of all 303 men. "Anxious to not act with so much clemency as to encourage another outbreak on one hand," Lincoln explained to the US Senate, "nor with so much severity as to be real cruelty on the other, I ordered a careful examination of the records of the trials to be made, in view of first ordering the execution of such as had been proved guilty of violating females." When only two men were found guilty of rape, Lincoln expanded the criteria to include those who had participated in "massacres" of civilians rather than "battles." He then made his final decision, and forwarded a list of 39 names to Sibley.
Ordered that of the Indians and Half-breeds sentenced to be hanged by the military commission, composed of Colonel Crooks, Lt. Colonel Marshall, Captain Grant, Captain Bailey, and Lieutenant Olin, and lately sitting in Minnesota, you cause to be executed on Friday the nineteenth day of December, instant, the following names, to wit [39 names listed by case number of record: cases 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19, 22, 24, 35, 67, 68, 69, 70, 96, 115, 121, 138, 155, 170, 175, 178, 210, 225, 254, 264, 279, 318, 327, 333, 342, 359, 373, 377, 382, 383]. He received a fine education, studying rhetoric and philosophy, and mastered the Latin and Greek languages.
Theodosius the Great, having requested the Emperor Gratian and Pope Damasus to find him in the West a tutor for his son Arcadius, decided on Arsenius, a man well read in Greek literature, a member of a noble Roman family, and said to have been a deacon of the Roman Church.
Upon receving the request to become the tutor of young Arcadius, he left and reached Constantinople in 383.
He continued as tutor in the imperial family for eleven years, during the last three of which he also had charge of his pupil's brother Honorius.
Coming one day to see his children at their studies, Theodosius found them sitting while Arsenius talked to them standing. This he would not tolerate, and he ordered the teacher to sit while the pupils to stood.
Upon his arrival at court, Arsenius had been given a splendid establishment, and probably because the Emperor so desired, he lived a very great lifestyle but all the time felt a growing inclination to renounce the world.
After praying for a long time to be enlightened as to what he should do, he heard a voice saying, "Arsenius, flee the company of men, and thou shalt be saved."
Thereupon he embarked secretly for Alexandria, and hastening to the desert of Scetis, asked to be admitted among the solitaries who dwelt there.
St. John the Dwarf, to whose cell he was conducted, though previously warned of the quality of his visitor, took no notice of him and left him standing by himself while he invited the rest to sit down at table.
When John was half finished with his meal, he threw down some bread before Arsenius, bidding him with an air of indifference to eat if he would.
Arsenius meekly picked up the bread and ate, sitting on the ground. Satisfied with this proof of humility, St. John kept him under his direction.
The new solitary was from the beginning most exemplary, yet unwittingly retained some of his old habits, such as sitting cross-legged or laying one foot over the other.
Noticing this, the abbot requested someone to imitate Arsenius's posture at the next gathering of the brethren, and upon his doing so, forthwith rebuked him publicly.
Arsenius took the hint and corrected himself.
During the fifty-five years of his solitary life, he was always the most poorly clad of all, thus punishing himself for his former seeming vanity in the world.
In like manner, to atone for having used perfumes at court, he never changed the water in which he moistened the palm leaves of which he made mats.
He only poured in fresh water upon it as it wasted, thus letting it become stenchy in the extreme.
Even while engaged in manual labour, he never relaxed in his application to prayer. At all times, copious tears of devotion fell from his eyes.
However, what distinguished him the most was his disinclination to all that might interrupt his union with God.
When, after a long period of searching, his place of retreat was discovered, he not only refused to return to court and act as adviser to his former pupil the Emperor Arcadius, but he would not even be his almoner to the poor and the monasteries of the neighbourhood.
He invariably denied himself to visitors, no matter what their rank and condition. He left to his disciples the care of entertaining them.
Due to this extraordinary act, his contemporaries so greatly admired him that they gave him the surname "the Great."
He spent the next fifteen years wandering the desert wilderness before returning to Troe, Egypt. He died around 445-455 when he was nearly 100 years old.

I have a lot of favourites from you but my flu brain could just think of "you gotta get a reaction" as that's automatic happiness. Lots of things I like in that one (Steve watching Eddie putting on eyeliner in the mirror with them both worked up? Thank you), but I sometimes, randomly, remember the following and laugh because it brightens my day immediately:
'Steve can't work out what his face is doing. "You think I don't want you?"
"Hash browns!" Steve snaps.'
Ouuguughghh, yes, HASH BROWNS.
2. What fanfic do you wish you got more response on?
This is a tricky one, because by my usual metrics the fic I'm writing now does crazy numbers, simply because Stranger Things fandom is so big that even relatively obscure stuff gets readers. My least kudos'd Steddie fic is a WIP, last updated in January, which a lot of people won't read (no shame, I've been hurt before too); it has 337 kudos on it. My most kudos'd Terror fic is a 12k smutty one-shot for that fandom's juggernaut pairing, posted in 2020, for an exchange where I got one of the mods as my recipient; it has 383 kudos. There's simply no comparison. Basically when anybody besides me likes my fic I'm stoked.
(the other option is for everyone to get into long-dead polar explorer RPF where there's a murderous monster bear. Incredible show, and the fic slaps. Join ussssssss)
3. What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?
AHAHAHAHAHA, WELL. Most of them, tbh. Still want to write sex pollen, still want to write this one soulbonding idea I have literally one line of; still playing around with* kind of an inverse idea to my "Eddie has no idea he's been flagging" WIP, in which Steve and Eddie meet via leather magazine personals and fall in love while doing hardcore BDSM, though that will have to wait until after I finish this WIP so the prose doesn't get cross-contaminated.

9. What’s your favorite line(s) or scene(s) that you have written?
I don't have one favourite anything, but related to the rest of your lovely message above, I'm still quite proud of the whole first chapter of you gotta get a reaction, especially the eyeliner bit.
