"Something I learned about people...if they do it once, they'll do it again."
The screaming was deafening but Beverly ignored it. Bev’s hand was wrapped around the brunette’s hair, dragging the frantic woman across the floor towards the front door. Bev never uttered a word as she dragged the naked woman into the hallway before slamming the door behind her, leaving her exposed as the tenants in Beverly’s building came out of their apartments to see what all the commotion was.
Beverly locked the door, knowing the woman outside would try to get back in. “You,” said Beverly, her voice cold and detached as she whipped around to face her boyfriend, Eric. The naked man had been scrambling to get his clothes on, stumbling as he tripped putting his leg into his pants. Beverly grabbed the nearest object as she made her way into the apartment towards her boyfriend.
It was a vase with the flowers that Eric had brought her a few days ago. She pulled the flowers out before hurling the vase across the room towards him. He ducked, the glass shattering against the wall behind him. “You fucking bastard,” she continued, grabbing the next item within reach, the bottle of wine that they had finished the night before.
“Bevy, let me explain!” called out Eric, putting his hands up in defense and trying to take a step towards her.
Crash. The bottle of wine narrowly missed his head. It hit against the lamp that was sitting on the end table by the sofa. “She meant nothing to me!” he pleaded as loudly as he could.
Beverly could taste the bile that settled in the back of her throat. All lies. She had discovered the text messages between them before she had left for work. Lauren. The woman who was naked in the hallway. It had been going on for months. Instead of confronting him that very second, she decided to wait. Behind her back, they had planned to meet at Beverly’s apartment later that day and that’s when Beverly would arrive to face them both.
It didn’t take long for Bev to run Eric out of her apartment. When he was gone, she tossed all his possessions over the balcony and onto the filthy alleyway below. His lies were echoing in her mind, even long after they had left. It had been hours, yet she remained sitting on the kitchen floor, nursing a bottle of tequila.
She felt so numb that even the tequila didn’t burn on its way down. Her eyes were red from the tears of anger and frustration that she had cried, mourning her lost relationship of two years.
Alone, again, just as she was starting to trust him. That’s what I get, she thought. For trusting someone, for allowing him in. Everyone will hurt you. Every single person you let in will inevitably hurt you.

This is the largest of the tentacle pots that will be available in the pot drop tomorrow. The larger these are the more complex they become to make and the more likely it becomes something will break in the making process so when they end up successful i am over the moon. This pot has some interesting glaze effects on the body of the pot as the glaze and oxide ran down the pot while firing. The unpredictable beauty of using oxides directly on glaze is one of the reasons I love this process so much.

[04.12.22] ✧ my little home ft my new 2022-2023 digital planner from @emmastudies
Feeling cozy being inside and resting on the weekend.
I am so happy to share that I have an incredible therapist in Geneva and I have been working out (ya girl joined a boxing club haha what!!). I have also been prioritizing comfort and warmth around me - in the literal sense - and have been wearing looser and comfier clothes, not realizing I had been ignoring my cues on touch sensitivity and overstimulation.
And let me tell you, and I have felt incredibly better.
Like, suddenly I’m less depressed, which is a bit wild because I don’t remember the last time I’ve felt “less depressed”?
Mostly now it’s really a sensation of comfort and warm and soft and looking forward to things and ooh this feels good or yes I can do that. And I feel it really in the center of my body, like in my heart space and solar plexus chakra - like the energy is just radiating! It’s a sensation I hold onto when I go into situations that I know will stress me out.
It’s also a sensation that has helped me feel less anxious about leaving my apartment - an anxiety deeply rooted with the social and physical discomfort of going outside and doing things. Discomfort in the sense of a bit of social anxiety, a bit of exhaustion, most often a discomfort with the temperature, some sort of looming responsibility or deadline (work, school), and the stimulation-saturated overwhelming nature of the public. But I know I am feeling a bit better because this is getting easier for me. ♥️
Anyway, explanations over! I hope all of you are finding some sweet rest and warmth during the change of season. 🤍
