“Now remember, the new guy is coming in tonight so please try to be on your best behaviors. We don’t need to scare him off,” Anthony started. “I think he could be the one.”

“You said that about the last 4 guys you brought in.” Tyler pointed out boredly.

Luke flicked a toothpick across the meeting table, bringing attention to himself. “Just give it up already. We’ve all been together for fucking years. It’ll be impossible to find someone who can do what we need and who also melds into the group.” Luke leaned his chair back, crossing his arms behind his head as though that was all that needed to be said.
