It bothers me that because ichigo likes him he can claim her on the 2nd date, kish and ryou both made similar statements and she was mad but when he said it its ok. Whether she likes him it's not ok for a man to say this on the 2nd date. Ichigo has no personality compared to the rest of the mews, he likes this so she going to like it, Aoyama does this she will do it too. Get a better hobby. I like precure because the romance is not about some girl who does everything a boy does to impress him. Have some self respect
I understand what you mean. There are definitely drawbacks to how the new series is approaching things which I didn't notice nearly as much in the first adaption. For one, while it's nice to show Ichigo in that 'looking for love phase' at the start and her friends helping her to find out more about her new crush, it all happens at breakneck speed. Either this all happened in the course of a day or two, or Mint was loitering around Ichigo's school for a ridiculous amount of time before giving her those tickets. We know how studious Mint is so I just don't see how it could be the latter, which makes Ichigo's feelings and development with Aoyama come off as extremely shallow.
Which isn't the worst thing ever, but... well, it sure is hard for me to get into. I do wish there was more time for buildup between them before Ichigo decided she was in so deep with Aoyama. More time for them to really get to know each other, and more time for Ichigo to really submerge herself in Aoyama's interests and make them her own.
Regarding the bell choker scene, I think it would have been great if they changed it up more for this new adaption. They clearly have no problem with changing details such as Mint's mew origins or Ichigo's age, so why not this as well?
My proposed change is: Ichigo could have been the one to ask for the bell collar instead of Aoyama deciding to put it on her.
The date could otherwise go the same - they look at the animals, Ichigo is nervous, Aoyama is nervous - Bu-ling appears (although I'd have preferred she got her own episode apart from Quiche for both their sakes), and the Chimera attacks - Aoyama panics as they're separated, and in his confusion of new emotions, lashes out at Ichigo for worrying him. He apologizes, and Ichigo gives him the benefit of the doubt in that he really was worried and didn't mean to be harsh.
Then she notices the bell collar in his hand, and asks if he would mind giving it to her. She has him put it on her, saying something along the lines of "Now you won't have to worry about me running off anymore, see?"
It carries the same meaning of Ichigo recognizing Aoyama's concern for her and wanting to reassure him, but it's done on her terms. She's the one making the decision, not just going along with something because it's what he wants for her. And good grief, just save the "you're my kitty" line for a later date, please?
I think something like this would have made a world of difference for me, but in the end the writers went with what they did and that's that.
I want to stress that while I'm not into the canon ship, I'm not aiming to insult anyone who feels otherwise. I may make my silly memes or have a few complaints in regards to how the anime adaption handles things (since I think they could be raising things up but are coasting instead), but I'm never aiming to shoot anyone down for liking a canon pairing. Like, I wish I could like it too! Good for you guys! It's just. It's not. The writing isn't working for me lol

My parents really appreciated the "kishes" (quiches) I baked yesterday. Today... day long headache, started from the moment I woke up. Took an Enantyum in mid afternoon, which did nothing, and along with the headache I began feeling generally bad while inside Ikea with my parents. I ended up lying on bed right after we got home... and slept something like 3 or 4 hours, or more, until 22.30. That nap resuscitated me. But also left me without sleepiness and now it's 1.43 am and I'm barely tired. I'm lucky I have class at 13 tomorrow.

Taruto that I'm used to (as a fan back in the early 2010s). I know that the newer names are what they should be called since the Kisshu, etc. are basically the way the Japanese say them, but I have to wonder, when did the change occur? It was a jarring experience for me to see those names, but it's also nice? Like, it does show growth as a fandom and I'm glad that people are still participating. I don't know, it's an observation I just made and I wonder if you can shed some light on it. Thanks!
*Note: This was a two part question. The first half of the question said this:
Hey! I've been a fan of yours since 2010-ish? hahaha, it's been so long, I remember watch your TMM in a Nutshell series... Anyway, I have a question to ask: do you study fandom trends for TMM? I haven't been really active in the fandom since 2014-ish, but I happened to check if ao3 had TMM fics, and I was surprised to find that people were referring to the aliens as Pie, Quiche, and Tart. It's a far cry from Kisshu, Pai, and 1/?

Answer:
The thing is that it’s not technically a “change” per say. It’s just that fans realized that the fansubs they kept watching didn’t translate the names properly (not to mention not translate other things correctly for that matter XD). Pie and Tart especially, since they were far from new (the English manga translated their names properly from the start). Quiche was a lot more gradual. While the ANN website’s page for it was correct, the manga translation spelled it as “Kish” for pronunciation purposes and the fansubs, as mentioned before, didn’t bother to translating their names properly at all. To figure out that one, it was a simple matter of putting the Japanese spelling of his name through Google images and pictures of the food coming up. It also helps that a bunch of newer Japanese merch have been starting to spell it in English properly as “Quiche”.
