{DO NOT re-blog Please} {Comments in the comments section/‘Likes’ OK}
On Event weeks:
(So I’ve noticed a lot of new ones popping up...)
In the past, a few times, people have reached out to me to ‘Promote’ their events. There are times where I have, (with or without people asking, promo’d them)
but I feel I should make a formal Disclaimer now
If you ask me to participate in your event, unless it is specifically a Koushiro-focused event, (preferably one with a high focus on L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.{P.N.}+ contents/support) my answer will almost definitely have to be “No”.
I wasn’t as vocal about this back in 2k15~2k17 when I started becoming more active in re-blogging (and making my own things), but I am an @utistic creator (using the @ so this doesn’t show up in Search) and a lot of people browsing my blog since definitely know that now. I am very bad at keeping up with events and also not great at producing content / fan-works on a timely schedule, especially with more limited, vague prompts. (I do much better if someone can ask of me say, a full prompt for a fan-work concept, like an A.M.V. set to certain song requests... and that’s usually not what these kinds of events have)
Adding on to the fact I only really feel comfortable writing fic mainly from Koushiro’s P.O.V. first, along with my preference for KouTai (Koushiro/Taichi), which to this day despite all my own contributions to boosting it continues to remain (unfortunately) regarded by the wider Adventure-02 fan-base as very much a so-called ““rarepair””, a lot of other things take a lot of work for me to write fic for even when I’ve tried my best handling other characters at times too.* (*Includes attempts handling the 02 Chosen multiple times since I was younger, up to and including making a literal shrine and 16 chapters/parts long fic for them when I was younger, which is also in heavy need of re-writes, and I never even got to finish it back then either) (*As well as multiple charas from across all the other @nime spinoff series)
I am also Very Much Not An Artist. I do not have any intent on pursuing art (including for fan-works.)
While I can sometimes make A.M.V.s, they take a huge amount of energy out of me and I cannot always finish them the way I ideally want to (often due to Windows Movie Maker, which, yes, I’m still using for reasons, constantly crashing on me if I surpass a certain amount of video clips). It is also extremely hard!!!! to make quality A.M.V.s for ships/charas with limited amounts of screentimes / quality footage to use without heavy manipulating, something which I also very much do not have the skills to do at this time. (I’m good at splicing up scenes, I’m not good at heavy editing!) This is usually why I stick to KouTai as a main focus for A.M.V.s, because Taichi being a prominent main chara (and Koushiro having focus as specifically his support) they have just enough scenes together that I can somehow make A.M.V.s work for them, and even with them I’ve had to splice scenes they had together across multiple series/the reboot too, to “fill out” some past A.M.V.s.
That leaves only gif-sets, and while I’ve tried to compile various things for other charas/ships/series I Iike along with my own Top favs and O.T.Ps/ships, I can only make so much there as well, especially for ships which already didn’t have a lot of huge scenes together. I am honestly more used to (*in the past) rp-ing (roleplaying games/charas) than I am fic-writing, but I do make attempts with Favs whose voices I feel comfortable attempting. And regardless...
So... You can ask me to “promote” your event, POLITELY, and respectfully, and I maybe will (LIKELY if you are genuinely polite and respectful). However, I heavily prefer you read and agree to my About and FAQ before you ask. If you do not, you might as well not ask.
Sorry to have to bring this up, but it’s become kind of an issue recently. I usually feel best contributing to/promoting events where I know, or at least recognize, and respect the OPs. If you’re an Anonymous OP, I will be somewhat more wary, unfortunately also due to people having gotten around blocks in the past (block-evading) without my knowledge, and that was something which really upset me, especially as apparently some other people heavily active here knew they were block-evading. And, despite all my own Yelling Into The Void TM that I do on my own blog/works, I tend to be very shy and (*also due to @utism) socially anxious (*Note: I am also diagnosed with Generalized @nxiety Disorder, because Comorbidities Are Indeed A Thing) around people I don’t know very well or haven’t spoken even once with. It helps if you can introduce yourself to me POLITELY and actually acknowledge my FAQ, my clear favorite parts of the series or aspects of it I support (*the U.S. dub side/fans I also have heavily since the start supported, for example) and acknowledge what I re-blog about most often, my Favs, and my ships.
If you genuinely can’t do any of that, even attempt it before you contact, I can’t join or “Promo” your event. Sorry.

with regards to your post about cybertronian accents, do the kids' hero forms have the same accents as their regular forms? because, um... that could be HILARIOUS. i mean just imagine. trypticon, bigger than probably several buildings, being attacked by several heroes who are not even making a dent in him, and he just yells, "HEY! I'M WALKIN HERE!"
hahfsdhgdglfkhdflkjshglkksdfjsdfh BADDA BING BADDA BOOM
i am weeping now, thank you for that mental image.
you have stumbled upon a pretty interesting topic actually! of all the accents I’ve outlined here, the heroes don’t truly fit into any of them, which is yet another oddity on top of everything else.
Trypticon cannot speak, he’s a feral monster with little to communicate but rage. it’s usual verbalization is an earthshaking roar, a bellow like the world splitting in two, like a predator declaring its territory, like all your nightmares rising to reality. it is not a pleasant sound to suffer through.
interestingly, the wordless warcry that Galvatron uses sounds an awful like a smaller version of Trypticon’s roar, if one listens very carefully. he has a heavy Tarnish accent in the insular “original dialect” of old Tarn, much like the original Galvatron would have spoken in.
Hellscream sounds like the most pretentious Vosian noble ever to live, and acts like one too. Cyclonus, oddly, has an ancient, stately accent that the Vosian/Tyrestese protostate would have spoken in prior to the Maximal Empire, one that’s really only still used around Tetrahex. Thunderblast has an upper crust Iaconian accent, notable more for the way she emphasizes and dramatizes her sentences than for her actual pronunciation. Triptych has a thick Tesaran accent that varies in strength depending on which face he’s currently wearing and how badly he wants to annoy his audience.
Scourge speaks in a very grandiose, proper dialect that isn’t commonly used except for official state functions, closer to the Primal Vernacular than modern Cybertronix. the cadence of his words and his vocabulary choices are eerily similar to the Mistress of Flame, who has a very formal, noble Camien accent, just like the original Mistress of Flame.
Rodimus Prime has a pretty casual accent, almost sloppy, usually sounding Nyonic but often ranging anywhere from Iaconian to Lunar. directly opposite him is Ultra Magnus, very serious and severe, with a sort of “blank”, vaguely Iaconian accent that communicates more of his judicial outlook and authority than where he comes from.
Drift has almost a Camien accent, high and poetic, close to the Primal Vernacular. although not as lofty as Drift, Optimus has a similar noble voice, although closer to Iaconian. their word choice is often unintentionally similar as well, and it takes them awhile to figure out why.
the Elite Guard are an absolute nightmare. they swap accents like trading cards, exchanging injokes and imitations between each other that no one else can understand. usually, Elita 1 sounds either Carcerian or Tarnish, Elita 2 sounds Vosian, Iaconian, or Rodian, Elita 3 sounds Camien or Iaconian, Elita 4 sounds Velocitronian, Camien, or Carcerian, and Elita 5 sounds Velocitronian, Tesaran, or Vosian. they’re masters of vocal camouflage and code switching. weirdly, although they all have distinct voices, it’s easy to mistake one for the other, and for one to perfectly imitate any of the others. it’s as if they are all somehow sharing a voice.
Abominus has a fairly typical Tesaran accent, but the notable feature of his voice is how it seems to be half speech, half growl. he deliberately accentuates the fact that he is a beastformer with the tone of his voice. on the other hand, Airachnid has a grand, sweeping accent of upper class Iacon, entertaining and captivating, making you forget about her claws until she already has them sunk into your spark. she’s very good at imitating different voices too, playing out conversations and throwing her voice like a one-mech play. sometimes in moments of great anger she sounds almost Vosian, with something ugly lurking behind her words that isn’t always there. Sixshot has a relatively weak Stanic accent, but the sheer rumbling volume they’re capable of is more striking. they’re very aware of this, and despite the violence inherent in being a vigilante they do their best to be soft spoken and careful. Soundwave has an eerily accentless voice, totally monotone and almost artificial. he uses a lot of slang, codes, and casual grammar, but the lifeless way he speaks makes it more creepy than it has any right to be, even worse for the fact that he doesn’t speak very often at all.
all of them have a sort of presence to them that bleeds into their voices. an authority, a power, just something that arrests their audience and communicates directly to the spark. no voice coaching or special effects can mimic it. not even the kids can really imitate it. it’s just something that Cybertronians are incapable of naturally...
