｢ @bucketfullofocs — Christmas 2021 ｣

[Aya @ Sanji - Christmas Ask] Christmas started as many days on the Sunny did - with a lot of yelling and cries for food. But, once everyone was settled, Aya would hand him his gift. Several silicone molds - good for chocolate, baking, or just about anything one might need a mold for - in the shapes of many of the animals they've seen on the Grand Line. Little Super-Spot Billed Ducks like Karoo, a Sea Lion, A Sea Owl, and more were among the nearly two-dozen molds.

She didn't tell him, but she had actually picked those up back on Whole Cake Island, before the Tea Party with the intent to give them to him when she got back. She'd completely forgotten in all the fuss, but now was finally the time to give them to him.

"Merry, um, Merry Christmas, Sanji. I love you." Truly, this Christmas felt the most special out of all the ones they've shared. Perhaps it was because of the ring that sat on her finger, because of their promise to each other to soon be forever inseparable, no matter what.

Only around his beloved, the one person he felt wouldn’t judge him, was Sanji able to hold up the animal-shaped molds and call them, “cute! These are adorable. I can’t wait to make something out of them.” And he meant it, because later that evening there would be countless chocolates with varying fillings sitting on the kitchen table, ready for eating.

But, for now, he would set them aside and bring her in for a hug that had him wrapped around her completely. Face against her neck, lips and breath grazing just under her ear, Sanji sighed.

“I love you too, my jewel. With everything I have, I love you.” Any opportunity to spend a holiday with her was a gift in itself. The life they shared wasn’t an easy one, so each and every moment like this was deeply cherished. “It feels selfish of me to say this, but as long as I have you here, I know every Christmas will be wonderful. I don’t need anything else. . .”

She was spoiled with kisses across every part of her that he could reach, until his lips came to brush against hers. “Now, would you like to help me break these in? They really are too cute, and we could use them to surprise the rest of the crew.”
