#i hesitate to even say in the horror community bc thats literally the problem#they cant just be like oh it was a good movie they have to be like 'the ONLY scary horror movie to come out in DECADESSS'#'ohhh it was sooo refreshing for a horror movie'. SHUT UPPPPPP. we have to do this every fucking time you people like a movie from The Dumb Genre.#i cannot stand it . there is absolutely a reason why most of my horror fan circle has not talked abt this movie#meanwhile the wider film community cant shut up about it. its bc we actually know theres better horror out there.#avpost#im also a touch bitter because i really didnt enjoy watching it i cant put specifics on why but there was such an undercurrent of misogyny#like. not outright sexist but near lethal levels of Made By Men energy pouring out of the entire experience#could be just me because nobody else seems to have had that issue but it was really suffocating my brain.#anyway yeah i hate to be That Person but i am silently waiting for the backlash to set in. even though it probably wont
