the fandom perception around "dennis is a bastard man" and its usage on ao3 is so funny to me, because if you actually look at it in context of the episode, it's clearly born out of some random beef charlie and dennis had at the time that charlie has long moved past and can't even remember writing.

dennis is asshole. why charlie hate? because the two of them had some inconsequential fight that only persists in their memory now due to it becoming a trivia point in chardee macdennis. they were probably arguing about the creation of the game itself.
