… Underrated things:

Jack holding onto Mac’s belt every time he leans out the window. No attention is ever given to it, nothing ever said. Just every time Mac leans out of a car window, Jack reaches over and holds on to him.

#MacGyver (2016)#also while we're here I totally forgot how dad and son they were as soon as the first season #like Jack pester Mac over his love life and what kinda girls he's trying to date?#sure bc of Niki but the banter comes across much more as a protective dad worried his son is gonna get his heart broken again #gahhh I'm on such a MacGyver kick rn #but gods do I wish there had been some comment by someone #maybe Bozer he's good at the tea #but someone making a comment about how they were searching for Mac's dad for so long when his dad (we mean Jack) was there all along #tbh I wish there were more moments focusing on Mac needing Jack #we do see it but it's often not focused on at all #which in a way is beautiful bc there's a lot of people doing dramatic shot and trying to be dramatic #like I think there's a big contrast between how Jack is there for and supports Mac #and James tries to placate and just act entitled to him #'I'll just give you a knife and act like I didn't ditch you for ten plus years and never tried to contact you'#while spouting all this crap like 'I needed you near me' and yaddya #whereas Jack is just #there #all the time #so I kinda wish there had been more Jack appreciation episodes #Bring Your Son To Work To The Extreme With Spies
