THIS WILD RABBIT SAT THERE FOR 20 MINUTES AND LISTENED TO ME SPEAK ABOUT EVERYTHING AND NOTHING IN A LANGUAGE SHE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND TILL MY TRAIN ARRIVED IF SHE COULD UNDERSTAND OR REPLY SHE WOULD SPEAK OF GRASS AND FUR AND FEAR IN THE TONGUE OF ELAHREHRAH THE PRINCE OF A THOUSAND ENEMIES AND THE BLACK MAIDEN OF INLAY UNDER THE FRITH. HOW DO I SCREAM IN RABBIT I THINK I'VE REACHED THE NIRVANA OF THE TRUE RELIGION. SHE CAN'T REPLY BECAUSE HER KIND DON'T HAVE A LANGUAGE, BUT JUST THINK WHAT IF SHE'S WONDERED ABOUT SOMETHING MORE THAN EATING RUNNING AND REPRODUCING??!! WHAT IF SHE KNEW THERE WAS MORE, THAT YOU COULD SPEAK OF A STAMPING FOOT INSTEAD OF JUST DOING SO, AND SHE COULDN'T EVEN CONVEY THOSE THOUGHTS TO HER FELLOWS, IT WOULD BE HELL ITSELF. BUT THE KNOWING ITSELF WOULD BE MADNESS, FOR FROM FRITH'S VIEW, DOING SOMETHING OTHER THAN WHAT YOUR BODY TELLS YOU IS MADNESS, SO WHAT IF WE ARE THE MAD ONES AND THEY ARE SANE, WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE BEING BORN TO COLOURED MADNESS AND SHE TO HELLISH SANITY?! HOW DO I SCREAM IN RABBIT???!!!!
The title of Ishikawa's 2014 book a single kanji: "kami".
「髪」 denotes "hair"- but is also a homonym with kami 「神」. This kami in the Shinto religion refers to its deities, encompassing all holy, natural divine phenomena.
It’s entirely possible to view Ishikawa’s lauded photographic explorations of our natural world and its human cultures as glimpse of the divine. Here though, rather than transcendental vistas of faraway ranges or the secrets of remote island festivals, this book closely focuses on a single young woman with long, rich black hair that has a spirit of its own.
Motomachi shopping street. The walk from the end of this street to Sannomiya Station is about 2km. Apart from crossing the road in a couple of places, it's pretty much all under cover.
Well worth the walk, especially at night when it's lit up. Although day time has its charms too.
One more reason I Love Japan:Because by very long ago the Woman is Concidered vital to be come a Shrine maiden,to perform the sacred, divine duties and communicate with the Higher Dimensions. They have it before the appearance of “feminism”.See https://matcha-jp.com/en/3671

Very plain picture but a name that should be easy to read! 大神田 is usually Ōkanda, but there's potential for Ogata, Ōkanta, Ōkamida, Ōkamita, Ōgata, Ōkamida, Ōmida, and Ōmita. (A similar, more common name is 神田 (usually) Kanda, which I will try to cover soon.)
大 is read おお, ダイ, or タイ. It means big or large.
神 is read かみ, かん-, こう-, シン, or ジン. It means god(s) and can also mean spirit/mind/soul.
