Time Agents Musical' main tag, pictures tab - shows majority of stage pictures in chronological order, updates from official Encore Musicals show up here too.
Tips: 1) Visit the OP's profiles! They usually post more than the one photo you can see in a thumbnail. And it's easier to browse & save pics through the profile.
2) Even though you can scroll the pics tab indefinitely, without a weibo account you won't be able to easily access older posts, as they'll get buried under the user's newer posts (there's a roundabout way mentioned in my guide). So I recommend to visit this tag frequently, if you wanna be sure nothing is hidden away 🔍 Daily or once in a 2-3 days will be enough imo, it's not very crowded tag ^^
3) ⬆You can also check videos in this tag, the orange tab has 10 most recent clips from the musical (other one has the most popular ones).
Musicals (Encore Musicals) <- official profile of a theatre that runs LC stage, they post the cast schedules, photos/behind the scenes clips, whenever new actor debuts, there's a special guests or a cast member has a birthday. They also report when an actor goes on a health break. Tip: all LC actors can be found in the pinned post (you'd need OCR 'image-text' tool to copy their names from pics though)
Encore Musicals Bilibili account <- theatre's official profile on a major cn video-sharing platform (more bts clips)
动画师lan <- bonus link to studio LAN profile, that's where they post the mysterious animation frames~
校医来啦 <- profile of a chief producer of LC Musical
兮兮兮辞_ <- profile of an executive producer of LC musical (she sometimes posts bts pics)

A few actors for supporting cast don't have a tag: bc 1) they haven't debuted yet and it was harder to find 2) seem to be newbie actors & have very small online presence
Tips: 1) Without a weibo account you can scroll through the actor's tag only up to abt 45 most recent posts. The actors perform in multiple plays (duh) so non-LC photos will show up too.
2) Imo the most optimal method, so the limits won't stop you is: go to the main 'LC musical' tag and see what's new. Check schedule for the cast lineup in a recent performance. Go to the actors' tags to see what's new.
3) Sometimes there are 2 performances on a same day, with different actors. So don't be surprised if you find mixed lineups under one date.
4) Mostly QL and Lin Zhen's actresses post behind the scenes photos on their personal profiles. Don't bother looking up the guys accounts, unless it's a holiday or their b-day >< From what I remember, only Wu Yihan posts abt his cat. Zhang Jiahao and Zhou Bobo post selfies sometimes.
5) Google translate, however broken, is enough to translate the captions, so use it for context✨Ppl sometimes give their reviews titled 'repos' from the stage they've seen 🙏
6) You'll find more musical related clips under the actor's tag, than in 'LC musical' main tag. It's usually in an actor's fancam, but not always. Useful when you like an actor or there was a particular moment you want to see from a different angle🌟👌
7) The clips tab (one in the middle) under the actor's tag has no time limited access. You can browse and watch the videos without issues!
I'll try to add missing tags when the actors debut 💪 And if you find any mistakes or a broken links, please let me know 🙏 For those who read it all, here's a present ;>
光时 <- bonus Shiguang ship tag, they're just like us fr (but way more horny on main), there's lots of art, from cute fluff to nsfw djs >>
A while ago, I stumbled across this press release for Taiwan's National Names Statistical Analysis report. Then I clicked on the full report and spent days glued to my screen reading it!
So, courtesy of Taiwan's Ministry of the Interior, let's look at some of the data. We will look at: top given names, top full names, and top unisex names.
Format:
(Simp.) | (trad.) (pronunciation) | (Taiwan pronunciation) / (# people)
I put simplified first for consistency with the rest of my blog. 简体 | 繁體 is the convention I use in many other posts.
Top 10 given names (by decade)
The report shows the top names by decade, which is really fascinating because you can see how tastes and trends changed over time. I'm just going to show the overall top 10 and last three full decades (1990s, 2000s, and 2010s) but you can see the rest on pg. 280 of the report (pg. 281 of the PDF).

Top 10 full names
In Mainland China the most common full names are usually something like 张伟 and 李娜. In Taiwan, 单名 (single-character given names) are much rarer, so the results are very different. We can also really see the dominance of the surname 陈 here. The rest of the top 100 are on pg. 268 of the report (pg. 269 of the PDF).

Unisex/gender-neutral names
Do you want a name that doesn't strongly lean towards masculine or feminine? The report also highlight the common names across genders. It seems their criteria for this was names falling between 40% male-60% female and 60% male-40% female.
To clarify, they actually looked at the top 100 full names, not given names. For instance, 宥均 Yòujūn was on the list three times with three different surnames. But I re-sorted the list by given name since I was curious to see that. You can find the original data on pg. 270 of the report (pg. 271 of the PDF).
The report is INCREDIBLY detailed. I'm not kidding. The body of the report is not that long, but it has a very long appendix with about 200 pages of tables. Here are some examples of data included that I didn't mention:
Most popular given names people changed their names to
Most common 单名 and 叠字名字
Most common last names by city/county
Indigenous peoples' use of the Latin alphabet for names
Prevalence of multi-character surnames
And so, so much more!
And FYI, the report uses the ROC calendar, which starts with the founding of the Republic of China. To convert from the ROC calendar to the Gregorian calendar, add 111.
Ex:
1年=1912
112年=2023
Pronunciation & tones
冠 is a 多音字 that is pronounced guān or guàn. I went with guàn because that seems to be more common in names from what I've observed.
柏 is also a 多音字 that can be pronounced bǎi or bó. MDBG says Taiwan doesn't have the bǎi pronunciation. I usually hear it read as bó in names, so that's what I'm going with.
MDBG also says 淑 is pronounced shú (not shū) in Taiwan. Likewise, it says 筑 is zhú (not zhù). I'll take their word for it.
I tried to put apostrophes in the right places (like for 承恩 Chéng’ēn), but I'm really bad at knowing when and where to use it. Please pardon any mistakes!

Xiao Jingrui: I once was very upset because of what you did, but ultimately, I am no longer a child who thinks he knows best. I understand now, everyone, so long as he is a person, would have things they choose and things they abandon. You only did what you chose. If I am angered and feel resentment because I have not been chosen, would there not be too much that cannot be forgiven on this earth? After all, no one has the responsibility to prioritise me, and value me above all others, regardless how much I will that to be, it cannot be forcefully acquired.
I treat you as such because I am willing. If I could be reciprocated the same regard in exchange, of course I would be joyous; that as it may be, if such regard could not be returned, there is not much to feel regretful about.
MCS: Jingrui, although there is seldom justice in this world, I hope you could forever hold true the pureness in your heart.
omg jingrui's speech at his departure in NIF, HOW DOES IT FEEL SO MUCH LIKE A BREAKUP speech and how did I never notice.
One of my niche interests is to render Chinese lyrics into English, but specifically in a way that can be sung to the same tune. So, ah, pseudo-translation driven by a sing-along agenda, I guess? Musical localization? Linguistic filk? If someone knows the real term for this, please tell me so that I can stop staring blankly at people when they ask what my hobbies are
Anyway, 《无谅》 is very pretty—
Maybe I should backtrack. What is 《无谅》 (wú liàng - without forgiveness)? Well, it is the theme song of the 2020 Chinese short film 《无量》 (wú liàng - boundless). I encourage anyone interested in wuxia to give it a try. You can find an excellent translation here, courtesy of @pumpkinpaix
Anyway, 《无谅》 is very pretty, and my brain has been gently flirting with it for months. The result of this slow-burn courtship is shared below, for anyone interested in obscure cross-language karaoke
Notes:
Lyrics are matched syllable-to-syllable, so let that be a guide on how to sing this English version
Yes, English version and not English translation. This is not intended as a rigorous translation and should not be interpreted as such

LYRICS
Night, vast and dark
Clears a window on one’s heart
Snow, cold and sharp
Pierced eyes no longer unmarred
Those hands you loaned
In the^^ rain, lifting old scars
Emboldened my own start
Heart, hollowed through
Fog that wind cannot blow loose
Dry bones, to whom
Vows will forever hold true
Slowly ensue
Toiling; I, tasting wind and dew
Won’t forget you
If past wrongs could all be forgiven, too
An ice-cold heart allowed to glow in the^ moon
Forgive the^ lies I honed into wounds
Forgive my silence from behind you
Though we’re to depart, our sorrows unsung
Despite the scrawl of youth, our promise is sound
The^^ next moon, who comes knocking upon
My window, like a late friend, long gone?
Night, vast and dark
Clears a window on one’s heart
Snow, cold and sharp
Pierced eyes no longer unmarred
Those hands, so close
Steer me gently to no harm
They’ve taken me so far
Heart, hollowed through
Fog that wind cannot blow loose
Dry bones, to whom
Vows will forever hold true
A fateful route
Decades’ worth of vicissitudes
Since I met you
If past wrongs could all be forgiven, too
An ice-cold heart allowed to glow in the^ moon
Forgive the^ lies I honed into wounds
Forgive my silence from behind you
Springs to autumns sweeping winters along
Despite the flight of youth, we’re both safe and sound
Those hands are still there, guiding me on
A treasure distilled from times bygone

Mother, May I?
reading (via gtrans) mxtx’s ending remarks, and while i obviously don’t speak the language, i can’t help but think they sound... well, less like meta/what you’re Supposed to think about the characters, and more like an author chatting about their characters, a bit jokingly.
i’m also wondering if the bit about wgxn being something something moral, ideal characters came from WiFi和汪叽都是非常理想的人格...? because... it’s interesting. 理想人格 does mean, according to baike, “ the moral perfect model advocated by a certain society or class, and is generally considered to be a perfect personality image. It is the highest embodiment of the moral requirements and moral ideals of a certain society”. Howeverst, i can’t help but notice it says 理想的人格. i’m wondering if it’s just a different way of saying the same thing, or something completely different. again, when it comes to chinese, my only source is google translate and my feeble brain, but considering what she talks about next, it might? could be, i’m not sure? ideal/perfect personality. 理想 means “ideals, dreams”, but as an adjective it means “ideal”, like ideal society, ideal girlfriend, perfect day for [event], etc. and what she talks about next is “i like wwx, but if i had to pick a boyfriend, i’d go for lwj”. it gave me some real “rin matsuoka, perfect man, super recommended!” vibes, lol. (does anyone remember free!...?)
the part about lxc kinda makes me laugh, because mxtx begins it with “idk why people thought he’s 腹黑而睿智. 睿智 means “wise and prescient=clairvoyant, able to predict things before they happen. 腹黑 means “sweet and warm on the outside, but scheming and devious on the inside”. iirc, it refers to people initially thinking lxc’s Complicit, which, I WISH. then she says that knowing his brother’s heart doesn’t mean he knows everyone else’s, and that being a sect leader doesn’t mean one is 心思深沉 and 明察秋毫.
googling the former got me a post in which someone explained that basically it’s someone who’s in control of their feelings/emotions to the point of making use of them to manipulate others? kinda like some people have pointed out jgy to be. for example, if someone’s scared, they can draw from this fear to appear scared, vulnerable and fragile, to appeal to people’s emotions. at the same time, such a person is very smart, good at judging others, and determined to achieve their goals. 明察秋毫, meanwhile, means “to perceive the minutest details”.
so, rather than what i feel people interpreted as “why did you think lxc is smart, he’s actually a himbo!”, it’s “no, actually lxc isn’t secretly a genius manipulator underneath!”. apparently fans thought that was the case, and were rather disappointed when they found out the truth. their loss, more lxc for me!
for jgy, she said 瑶妹,好吧,偶尔也会觉得有点可怜哦不过对不起还是请你光荣狗带, which gtrans says is “Yaomei, well, sometimes I feel a little pitiful, but I'm sorry, I still ask you to honor the dog”. the last part had me ?????, i googled it, and sighed a little about the possibilities of chinese as a language. the last two hanzi, 狗带, literally mean “dog leash”, but they’re pronounced... gou dai... (this still doesn’t necessarily mean she dislikes him/that fans are meant to dislike him)
as for nhs, based on the number of duibuqi’s, mxtx feels more sorry for him than for jgy :’) she said she’s had to delete a lot of scenes with him, and a good 搭檔 partner/workmate? did nhs also have a sms-like sidekick? well, “I'll see if the new revision can fix it...“, she says. hm!
